The tin cup pictured was reproduced from the remains of a dug relic discovered at Fort Ligonier in Ligonier, PA. The fort was used during the French and Indian War and Pontiac's War covering the years from 1758 to 1766. This cup is an ideal cup for any living history reenactor from the mid to late 18th century and even into the early 19th century. The Fort Ligonier tin cup is reproduced using high quality USA tinplate. The rim and handle has wire inserted for extra strength making a very durable cup, and only 100% lead free solder is used in assembly. CAUTION: Hot beverages, such as coffee, will make the cup hot to the touch and to the lips. OUCH! Please be aware of this. Every item used for drinking, eating or in food preparation is thoroughly washed, hand polished and washed again to the brilliant luster that made tinware so popular long ago. That is why it was called "poor man's silver". Instructions for care of your tin cup will be sent with your order. Size: 4" in diameter x 3" high (Holds approx 16 oz.)
