Hi Everyone, This week I am sharing my projects created with Kaisercraft's fabulous new "On Stage" Collection. This music-themed range comes in red, black white and a hint of brown tones and is very versatile as it could be used for masculine and feminine LO's as well as all your music-related pages. I was so excited to have some of my creations on display at the Kaisecraft Stand for the recent CHA 2015 Mega Show. "Music is the Art of Thinking With Sounds" Layout This range lends itself well to a grungy masculine page. Here I have masked and stamped my background, then torn and layered various pattern paper to draw the eye to my photo. The matching collectables make it so easy to add those finishing touches to your page. Kaiser Product: On Stage - Paper - P1765 Curtain, P1769 Encore, P1767 Act, P1772 Arts, P1773 Audience, CT821 Collectables, T613 Template Quarters, Clear Texture Stamps – CS154 Film Edges, CS162 Stains, Ink IP719 Black, IP734 Red Other: Modelling Paste “Superstar Performance” Layout Couldn't help myself and was drawn to create another grungy masculine layout, using a pic of Luke on stage rocking it out at one of his High School concert performances. All that was needed for this background was gesso and a couple of lids to create your circles. You could leave it plain or add a little random stamping to add a little bit of depth to your background. Kaiser Product: On Stage - Paper –P1766 Applause, P1767 Act, P1772 Arts, P1773 Audience, CT821 Collectables, SS274 12x12 Sticker Sheet, CS207 Stamp Set, ST913 Epoxy Stickers - Steel, IP719 Ink – Black, IP734 Ink - Cherry, T303 Foam Tape Other Product: gesso “There’s a Little Theatre in us All” Layout I found these old pics of Brittany in her first musical theatre performance. Kaisercraft have a fabulous spiral bound A4 journal book which comes in Kraft, but it's super easy to give your pages a coat of gesso for a plain white background. Fun pirate themed waterproofing activity, perfect for Key stage 1 and EYFS,
Hello Sweeties Today I'm up on Mixed Media Place blog with a new "recycling" project. I had since forever a key box at home, you know the kind of object we use every day but stop notice, and at the same time I caught myself looking if I did not find a more "modern". I started to cover the wood panel with 3 layers of heavy Gesso. I let dry between all the layers. Then I added a first design to the background with a stencil and Clear Gesso. I want the design to be there but subtle. And when dry I added a second design with another stencil and Modeling Paste. Meanwhile the background was drying, I worked on the wings. I humidified the cardboard in order to separate the different layers. After I dried them, I covered them with a thin layer of Gesso. Then I glued frame, chest and wings to the panel. I added some beads : some pearly that came from a old necklace, glass beads, micro beads... which I glued with 3D Matte Gel. When completely dry, I colored the background with different shades of yellow, orange, gold and brown. I colored the wings with Mica Powders, then coverethemd with clear Crackle Paste. I added again some Mica Powders as well as clear Crackle Paste until I was happy with the result. Unfortunately we don't really see the result on the photos. It's only now that I added the dress made of a old doily, some old book pages, thread and linen. I used some clear Powertex to harden the doily and the linen. I added to the composition a little key and some flowers. I finished with a light touch of gold wax on the resin frame and the wood frame. And here is my key box back in place with its guardian angel! Matériels / Materials: Others producs:
