Hello & welcome everyone. This is Week 10 of our Colour Creations Showcase and we are featuring Cinnamon Cider tonight - one of our new Stampin' Up! in-colours for 2020-2022. I was so disappointed that I couldn't participate in last weeks colour showcase, so I stepped it up a notch this week and created two cards. Here is card 1. When the idea for this card originally popped into my head, I was only thinking circles. Different sizes, different DSP patterns, and once glued down I knew I was definitely going to be using my absolute favourite embossing folder of all time, the Subtles 3D EF, and emboss the whole panel. Well, that's what I started with but it lacked something. It was an "okay" birthday card for a not-so-frilly, not-so-girly girl card. It wouldn't do for a masculine card because of the Ornate Layer frame, so I added the medium daisy and voilὰ! This was just what I think it needed. The Designer Series Paper circles are two Cinnamon Cider patterns from the Flowers For Every Season pack (AC p.148). I cut these using dies from the Layering Circles die set. So, as I mentioned, once I glued the circles in place on the Whisper White cardstock I ran it through the Subtles 3D embossing folder and then I used a Stitched Rectangles die to crop the right size to fit the Ornate Layers die frame. No, you are not seeing double. I decided to shadow stamp the sentiment. Using the yummy Cinnamon Cider ink, I stamped 'happy birthday' from the Timeless Tulips stamp set (AC p.21). I stamped full colour and then moving the stamp a little to the left and down a bit, I stamped again. This gives you the 'second generation' stamping you may have heard of. And it created this great shadowed look. I used another Stitched Rectangle die to crop around the sentiment. Whenever I add a daisy to a card nowadays, I can't not add some dimension to it by scoring lines down each of the petals. I do this by using a finer tipped stylus and a ruler. I start at the base of the petal and score towards the tip. This daisy is made with the Medium Daisy Punch, and I punched it out of regular Whisper White cardstock, twice. I added Cinnamon Cider ink to the centre with a sponge dauber. Of course I needed a touch of sparkle and I added five Champagne Rhinestone Jewels. A rule of thumb is to add your bling in odd numbers. Inside the card I cropped another Stitched Rectangle for the writing panel, and added a couple of embossed DSP circles to reflect the front of the card. Here is card 2. I had so much fun creating this card. It's for my Uncle, and I really hope he likes it. I was really excited to start playing with this stamp set. It's called Senior Years (AC p.107). It contains two of the cutest "mature" male and female characters and some fun sentiments as well. Isn't it cute?! I love it, and it was fun to colour with Stampin' Blends. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, let it dry for a little while and started colouring. The colours I used were Light and Dark Night of Navy, Light and Dark Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Mossy Meadow, Light Smoky Slate and Light Petal Pink. I stamped onto thick Whisper White cardstock and yes, you guessed it, I ran it through the Subtles 3D EF. I did say it was my all time favourite embossing folder! 😉 I cropped the panel with a Stitched Rectangle die and layered it onto a slightly larger piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. The Greeting is from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set (AC p.103) and it is stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink. I trimmed it to fit another of the Stitched Rectangles that I cropped from Cinnamon Cider cardstock. My final touch of bling was adding three Cinnamon Cider enamel dots from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. (AC p.158). Well that's it from me tonight. Thanks for stopping by. It's time to head over to Catherine's blog to see the rest of the team's Cinnamon Cider creations. Hello and welcome everyone to the first of our continuing colour showcase for 2021 from the Art with Heart team. It's Week 30 of the Colour Creations Showcase and tonight our featured colour is Night of Navy from the Neutrals Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. The card I'm sharing with you tonight features a mish-mash of products from both the Annual and the new Jan-June Mini Catalogues. If you don't already have a demonstrator and would like to receive a copy of the catalogues, please feel free to contact me for a chat. And without further ado, here's my card. The first thing you'll notice on my card is this big, beautiful flower - isn't it gorgeous! This flower is the largest bloom from the Art Gallery stamp set. The Two-Step stamp set also features sentiments and I have used one of them on my card. It was cropped with a die from the coordinating Floral Gallery Dies. If purchased together as the Art Gallery Bundle, you'll save 10%. But wait, there's more! Yes, more coordinating products that fall under the banner of the Fine Art Floral Suite. You'll find all the information on pages 32-34 of the new Jan-June Mini Catalogue. Fine Art Floral Suite I've paired Night of Navy with Pool Party for my colour palette, and just a touch of silver foil. I embossed the piece of Fine Art Floral DSP with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder as well as the Whisper White panel behind the flower. I absolutely love the texture achieved by using this embossing folder. The Ornate Layer, die-cut in Night of Navy, compliments the soft look of Pool Party. I added one of the square vellum doilies to soften this occasion card even more. Even though Night of Navy is one of our neutral colours, it's a very strong colour, but used with lighter shades you can still achieve a soft look to your cards. Inside the card I stamped another of the Art Gallery stamps, but this time I stamped off and used second generation colour in both the Night of Navy and Pool Party classic inks. The writing panel was glued to a slightly larger piece of the DSP. Well, that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Night of Navy projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of all tonight's participants on her blog. Check them all out using this link: https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=6485 P.S. I almost forgot! It's SALE-A-BRATION time! With every $90 Stampin' Up! purchase you will earn yourself a free product! This week, some of my Stampin' Up! friends and I are featuring Gray Granite in the creations we have to share with you. Our weekly Colour Creations Showcase is hosted by Cathy Proctor. Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all participants in this week's share. We hope you'll visit all our blogs, to get some inspiration for using this lovely warm grey. I have teamed Gray Granite with Blushing Bride and Whisper White, to make a soft, feminine, card. I have used the lovely Field of Flowers bundle, comprising a stamp set and Confetti Flowers border punch. The two-part sentiment is stamped on Whisper White card, using the Stamparatus, in Blushing Bride and Gray Granite inks. I stamped the grassy/leafy border stamp in Gray Granite ink on the same piece of Whisper White card, and the tiny flowers in Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride card - then punched out the flowers and adhered them to the grass/stems. I cut out this panel using Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and embossed the piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. After matting the scalloped rectangle panel on a piece of Blushing Bride card, I added a few decorative touches - some Gray Granite butterflies, and pearls in the flower centres. Two panels of Gray Granite Designer Series Paper form the background of my card. The top half is from Peony Garden (on special this month!), and the bottom piece from the Neutrals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper collection. I matted these papers on a piece of Gray Granite card, then wrapped ribbon around the horizontal join. First I laid down a piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, then overlaid some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon on top. Here's a closer view of the embossed panel. I've just noticed that the tiny pearl has dropped from the flower centre on the left ... I have since rectified that! This photo shows the ribbon treatment: I adhered the focal panel using Stampin' Dimensionals. Here is a side view to show the layering: All of the products used to make this card are available to purchase from my online store, if you live in Australia. This week's Colour Creations Showcase, co-ordinated by Cathy Proctor, is focussing on Highland Heather. I don't tend to use purples a lot on my cards, so it's a good challenge for me! When searching the internet for suggested colour combinations including Highland Heather, I came across this one: Crumb Cake is my go-to neutral, and I find Sahara Sand a bit grey sometimes, so wasn't sure how this was going to work - but I rose to the challenge! I have to say, the stamping I've done in Sahara Sand does look to my eye like Crumb Cake - but I promise it's not. My card design started with some circles, from the Swirly Frames stamp set, stamped on Very Vanilla card. I overlapped the circles, then cut masks from Post-it Notes, to place over the top. With the masks in place, I stamped the Stacked Stone background stamp, also in Sahara Sand ink, over the card panel. Removing the masks, I flicked the brush tip of my Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends marker in the two circles that I have placed the birds in. I stamped a partial branch, in Soft Suede ink, in each of those two circles. Using Highland Heather ink, I stamped two sentiments, from the Free As A Bird stamp set, in the top and bottom circles. The branches, birds, and hearts are all from the Birds & Branches bundle. Once I had done all my stamping, and before I adhered the die-cut birds to the branches, I embossed the Very Vanilla panel with the Scripty 3D embossing folder. The stamping, splatters, and embossing can all be seen clearly in this photo. I used the bullet tip of my Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to make the birds' eyes stand out: I stamped the sentiments before embossing the card with the Scripty 3D embossing folder: My ribbon treatment consists of a bow of Purple Tricolor Ribbon, with a Linen Thread bow affixed on top: All of the products I used to make this card are available to purchase from my online store. This week the Art With Heart Team are featuring Seaside Spray for our weekly Colour Creation Showcase. Seaside Spray is another of the 2019-2021 In Colours that will be discontinued when the Annual Catalogue finishes on the 3rd of May. For tonight's card I needed a project that was quick and easy as I was a little time poor this week. I started with the Sand and Sea DSP, which features Seaside Spray on many of it's sheets. I turned to my favourite birthday greeting from the Happiest of Birthday stamp set and stamped this in Seaside Spray on Basic White paper. I cut the greeting out with one of the dies from the new Scalloped Contour dies set that will be available in the 2021-2022 Catalogue. These dies come in numerous sizes and all have different stitching patterns around the edges. The card base is Seaside Spray. The final embellishment is some Linen Thread around the bottom of the greeting piece. Good bye Seaside Spray, hopefully you will return in a colour refresh down the track. For more Seaside Spray inspiration from the Art With Heart Team, head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants. Hello everyone hope it's been a great week and notably a short week as we head into the Easter break. How fast has this year gone!!! This week I am using Rococo Rose for the Colour Creations Showcase. Rococo Rose is part of the 2019-21 In Colours and will be retiring in June when the current Stampin' Up! annual catalogue finishes. A dusky pink that is very versatile and coordinates nicely with other colours in their range. This week I have used the stamps, dies and embossing folder from the Sand and Sea suite which I couldn't wait to play with as it is just gorgeous! So my card base is Rococo Rose overlaid with a piece of Pearlescent Specialty paper which I coloured using Rococo Rose ink and the new blending brushes in the Mini catalogue to give it a pale pink sheen...just beautiful. Once dried (it didn't take long), I used the large die comprised of various shells and seaweed to cut the shape and then emboss using the matching embossing folder in this suite. The effect is stunning with the raised patterns on the shells and seaweed. Behind this I placed a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes dies in Whisper White and stamped the bubbles in Crumb Cake. The birthday greeting was stamped in Rococo Rose ink onto Blushing Bride card stock and cut using the die from Tasteful Labels set. Behind the greeting I have added some Linen thread which has been plaited to give it a rope-like effect. And then popped some Opal Rounds to the card base to provide a little bling. The card has also been stamped on the inside with another greeting and the pretty shells in Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride, and the starfish in Crumb Cake inks. For more inspiration on this week's colour showcase you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Wishing everyone a most lovely Easter break 🐰 and hope you get to have some relaxing time ahead with family and friends!

Hello and welcome to Week 2 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor will be running a weekly blog and with other members from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Basic Gray and I hope we will inspire you with our variations of this gorgeous colour. Basic Gray is from the Neutrals Collection, it’s available in Ink, Cardstock and DSP. I’ve created my card using some of these products and I’ve matched it with Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride. Oh, did I mentioned Wink of Stella was used? There’s a lot of glitter on the flowers, but it’s hard to see when the card was photographed. The card base is in Basic Gray and I layered it with a panel of DSP from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, it’s just so stunning! Beautiful photographic images and visual textures which works well when creating your projects. I recently received the Blossoms In Bloom Bundle, as I just couldn’t go past this stunning bundle and a saving of 10% when you buy the stamps and dies together. I’ve used Watercolor Paper to die cut out the larger dies images as well as the smaller dies too. The layered dies create depth when using different types of colour for your projects. I’ve used Rococo Rose Ink for a deeper colour and I lightly added Blushing Bride Ink for the top layer. Seaside Spray Ink was used for the leaves and single flower. The sentiment is from the Blossoms In Bloom Stamp Set, I’ve used White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool. The Basic Gray Cardstock strip is layered over a strip of Whisper White Cardstock to make the greeting pop! Please visit Catherine’s blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Basic Gray. Make sure you come back next week to see Bermuda Bay in our projects. If you would like the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, I would be happy to send you a copy out to you. Please contact me here. Hello to everyone and Happy St. Patrick's day 🍀🍀🍀 My husbands family came from Ireland and migrated to Australia and so he is quite proud of his Irish heritage. But this week's colour doesn't have much to do with Ireland and St. Patrick and instead we are celebrating Real Red for the AWH team showcase. Real Red is from the Regals colour family and it is a bright red that is quite often used in Christmas card designs. This week I have been inspired to create a strong and feminine looking card. The Whisper White base card stock was embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing folder and then layered with a rectangular piece of True Love DSP that has been cut from the Rectangle Stitches Framelit dies using the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. The Whisper White square layer was cut using Stitched Shapes dies and hand stamped with the floral stamps from Dressed to Impress stamp set. This stamp set has been used for all the items on the front of the card and it also has a matching die set which I did not have on hand so I ended up fussy cutting these shapes. The flowers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured using Stampin' Blends in both Light and Dark Real Red colours to give some variety. The lipstick and shoes are stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends Light and Dark Real Red, Light and Dark So Saffron and Dark Basic Black. The highlights were achieved using the Colour Lifter and I have coloured the leaves on the roses using Light and Dark Mint Macaron. The greeting is stamped with Versa Mark on Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder and then fussy cut and attached with a dimensional. There is also a Mother's Day greeting in this stamp set which will likely get some use soon! The True Love DSP that was left over after cutting the rectangular frame was used for the inside of the card and decorated with additional roses. The greeting from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set is stamped inside with Real Red ink. I am making some more note cards using the Dressed to Impress stamp set in softer pinks and purples to give to a special group of friends at a catch-up this weekend. For more inspiration on this week's colour showcase you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog to see what the other ladies have done for this weeks Colour Creations showcase. Wishing you all a happy and healthy week ahead and hope you get to have some personal time where you can!
Hi everyone, and welcome to Week 5 of our Colour Creations Showcase. Tonight, the Art With Heart Team have created their projects showcasing Blushing Bride. Blushing Bride is from the Subtles Collection of Stampin' Up! colours, and for my colour palette I chose to combine it with Smoky Slate (Neutrals) and Coastal Cabana (Brights). For last weeks Colour Showcase, I water coloured for the first time. I chose something simple in the way of stripes. This week I've gone with stripes again, only this time I have used our Sponge Brayers to create them, with the help of some retired washi tape. I found this idea on Pinterest. Rochelle Blok, an Australian Demonstrator and a member of the Stampin' Up!® Artisan Design Team, created a background DSP for a card she had made in 2017, using washi tape to make the stripes. So, I took this idea and unlike Rochelle who used just one size width of tape on her card, I used multiple sizes to get the different sized gaps in between the colours. This really is a great idea for creating a DIY background and using up any leftover washi tape you might be hanging on to. I will give you a tip though, make sure to take some of the 'sticky' off of the tape. I learnt this the hard way and had to throw my first attempt in the bin! What I did the second time round, was to press the tape onto my table a few times and pulled it up, and I also applied it to my jumper at one point. This method helps to make it less tacky, and it shouldn't rip your paper when you take it off. Just remember to pull it off slowly. I applied the different sized tapes leaving gap widths that I liked and then I simply brayered on the three colours. I used a scrap piece of paper to cover the areas where I didn't want that colour to spread into the next. You can apply as much or as little of the ink that you want, to create lighter or darker colours. This also depends on the pressure you apply to the brayer. There's no need to press hard, but firm enough so that the ink transfers. I stamped tone on tone in each of the colour sections, using stamps from the Lovely You stamp set. The sentiment stamped in Smoky Slate is from the same set, and then using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch I punched it out using the 3/4" size and then the 1" size for the Blushing Bride layer. The punch has a third option size, being a 1/2". Lovely You Bundle If you purchase the stamp set and the punch as a bundle, you'll save 10%. Layered banners in one punch is a fantastic idea! Using Blushing Bride and Coastal Cabana cardstock, I die cut two butterflies from the Well Written Dies and a Blushing Bride heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. I only glued the body of the butterflies down and the inside of the wings. I added a touch of sparkle to these parts by brushing on some Wink of Stella. Here's a close-up pic. On the inside of the card I brayered stripes in Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate directly onto the card. And I added another butterfly. That's it from me for this week, thanks for stopping by. Hello and welcome everyone. It's Week 20 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team. Tonight's featured colour is Gray Granite. Gray Granite is from the Neutrals Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. Here's my project for tonight's showcase. When this type of card is needed, I always like to work with very soft and subtle colours. The beautiful patterns from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper were the perfect choice for me, and Gray Granite features in the colour palette. I very rarely use anything other than a Whisper White card base when I make a card, but I went outside of my comfort zone this time and I think I'll try it more often. I chose a geometric pattern for the first layer and decided on this floral design for the matted top layer. I wrapped a length of the gorgeous Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the top panel, finishing with a bow. This ribbon is just so beautiful and it has a lovely subtle, silver sparkle to it. I've adhered the top panel with dimensionals. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Prized Peony stamp set in Gray Granite. Using two different dies from the Stitched So Sweetly die set, I cut out the sentiment and the vellum label shape behind it. The vellum adds another layer of softness to the look of the card. Inside, the Whisper White writing panel is matted with the same geometric pattern as I used on the card front, and a stitched strip of the floral design. I just can't stop using this long stitched rectangle die from the All Dressed Up die set - I love it! The Designer Series Paper, sentiment and ribbon are part of the Peony Garden Suite from the Annual Catalogue. For the month of October, Stampin' Up! have a SALE on select DSP's. The beautiful Peony Garden Designer Series Paper is just one of them. It's the perfect time to stock up on your favourite packs and save 15%! Well that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Gray Granite projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of all tonight's participants on her blog. Large floral images in the Bloom & Grow stamp set and the Budding Bloom dies make card making fast and easy as the spray of flowers are already beautifully arranged!
Hi! You may remember that in 2018-19 I participated in the Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Shares. Well, it's back again! This time it's the Colour Creations Showcase, but otherwise, it's the same. Each week on a Wednesday evening, we will all post cards using one of the Stampin' Up! colours. I used the last round as an opportunity to try out new techniques and styles, and I will try to do that again. Week one is Balmy Blue! Very recently I purchased the Snow Front stamp set, as it was carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue. I've had a lot of fun with Waterfront, and hopefully I will with Snow Front too. Let's talk about the card base, though. On the top section I stamped the new Blossoms In Bloom stamp set. I just wanted it to look like random stamping, rather than the gorgeous flowers it is, which is why I stamped the spotty stamp around the edge. It's meant to be the flower centre. The bottom half of the card base is simply narrow strips of Balmy Blue cardstock glued to a larger piece of Balmy Blue cardstock. I like the subtle texture this gives to the card - a bit like a wall with wood panelling on the bottom half. I don't know what it's called, but I do like the look, especially on cards! EDIT: Kathryn tells me it's a dado rail, and she'd be right! To help the main panel stand out from the background, I matted it twice, once with Balmy Blue and then again with the new Misty Moonlight. It looks quite dark here, but it's more of a mid blue. I created the scene with Snow Front and then used a blending brush to add a little ink to the sky. It's a very wintery card! I repeated the scene on the inside, including the ink blending. The sentiments on the card are from Blossoms In Bloom. I hope I didn't make you feel too cold looking at my Balmy Blue card! Time now to pop on over to Catherine's blog, where you'll find the rest of this week's Colour Creations Showcase links. I think there are over 16, so plenty of inspiration to be had for Balmy Blue. Bye for now, Tina
I must be honest I don't have a lot to create with for this weeks colour at all. I don't have this colour in my stash of products and I think I missed this week when we did Cajun Craze a couple of years ago. So I was determined to rectify it even though all I had was 2 pieces of card stock and a water colour pencil. Oh yes, that is right, now it was time to get creative. This week Cajun Craze! So I went for a little look on the good old Pinterest to see if my creative juices could at least get a kick start and I found a card on Nikiscraftingcorner and I thought I am going to case that and recreate it using the colours and stamps that I have. So this is the card that I came up with. Ok so what did I do to create this card? Here is my colour combination. Perfect colours to make a gorgeous Sunset don't you think? So for this card I have created a sunset. I have used a piece of Whisper white card stock and with my water colour pencils I have coloured in strips. Once I have coloured in strips with the Cajun Craze being the largest size that I coloured I used the water painter to activated the pigments in the water colour pencils to blend them all together and not look like I had just scribbled on some card and give a nice water colour wash sunset to the background of the card. I have made a video to show you exactly how I did it. Or click here for the video: https://youtu.be/cV-Dx6IPcKw Once my sunset had dried I stamped the trees in memento ink and adhered it to the colour of the week, Cajun Craze! I was trying to work out whether I could get 2 cards out of 1 piece of card stock and 1 water colour pencil this week and I think I might have just manged that. Card 2 to follow. The background is old olive card stock and the leaves are from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and I have stamped them around the edge in old olive before adhering to Thick Very Vanilla card base and popping the Sunset trees on dimensionals on to the card. I have also done the butterfly the same way coloured the Whisper white paper with the cajun craze water colour pencil then wet it with my water painter and stamped when dry with memento ink. I then went over the middle of the butterfly with the pencil again to make it a little darker. The sentiment is also from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and I have used the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. For my second card I was wondering what could I do and then thought Sunflower! Here is the colour combination that I used. Very similar to the first card. Well I just love this Sunflower and the die is to die for! My support worker for my daughter saw this today and just loved it! So if you don't have it yet you need to get it! I have again coloured with the Cajun Craze water colour pencil in both places on the Whisper white card and then using the water painter and once dry I have adhered the Daffodil delight die cut sunflower, Cajun craze centre and old olive leaves over the top. The leaves I have adhered with the fine tip glue pen. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and I think is is so fitting for what we are going through right now. There are so many struggling in many different ways and sending cards and little paper hugs is really the least we can do to spread some sunshine. The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral and that is our spotlight colour for next week! The Elegant Faceted gems are from the Peony Garden Suite but I thought they looked gorgeous on this card with their slight petal pink colouring! So for only having a couple of pieces of card stock and a water colour pencil in Cajun Craze I think I have done ok with coming up with something for this week. Plus now that I have have finished writing my blog post in time for tonight the mail man has arrived with my order of items of Cajun Craze. Go Figure! Well now I will be ready for next year! The products that I used are listed below so you can check them out. Please head over to my friend Cathy Proctor to see the list of the team that are sharing their creations on Cajun Craze this week. Nature is the most amazing source of inspiration, which is why I've my Granny Apple Green card based on this gorgeous bunch of flowers.
Our seventh colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "cajun craze" from the regals collection. I have chosen cajun craze, calypso coral and soft sea foam from the colour coach to work with today for...
My wish list is getting longer, how about you? Have you had fun looking through the new 2020-21 Annual Catalogue? There is something new each time I look. If you don't have a paper copy let me know, there is nothing like a paper copy in your hands to look through. Did you enjoy last weeks Colour Creations Showcase? Wasn't it fantastic! Let's go and have a look at this week's highlighted colour. This week Basic Gray For my first card I have really highlighted the colour of Basic Gray but have added this combination ever such a little. I used the Ornate Garden suite products as my starting point. I have used the Ornate Style, Ornate Thanks and Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder from the suite for this card. As I wanted the embossing folder to also shine I paired it with the rectangle stitched dies instead of the Ornate Border die. You might think : "I haven't seen a rectangle stitched die that small, Sharon". Well you would be correct. I used the same die for both the "Thanks" and "For all you do" I just partially cut out the rectangle each time very carefully until I got it down to the right size. For the ribbon I used the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend on the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding and it is just perfect for this card. To add a little shimmer to the daisy after colouring with the Stampin Blends I used wink of Stella. All the stamping was done in Basic Gray as well. Oh and don't forget to decorate the inside of your card. I decided that I would try another card and saw something similar done with poppies and I thought I might give it a go with the Tasteful touches stamp set and see if it would work. I have used these colours for my card and used water colouring for it. I first stamped the leaves and the sentiment in Basic Gray before embossing it with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder and layering it on the Basic Gray card base. I then embossed the roses from the Tasteful touches Stamp set in white emboss powder on the Fluid 100 Watercolour paper before using the 3 colours Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride and Flirty flamingo with my aqua painter which is now retired. Stampin' Up have new Water Painters that I have linked in the products below in 3 different brush tip sizes and I am looking forward to getting some to have a play with those. The feathers are also embossed in white on vellum. I think I might need a couple of pearls to balance the card out and add some bling! What do you think? I thank Wendy Lee for the inspiration of her poppy card and I might give that a go as well some time. So as you know our Colour Creations Showcases are hosted each week by my lovely friend and the extremely creative Cathy Proctor. So hop on over to her blog for the list of those participating this week and find some more inspiration for the colour Basic Gray! Cathy's Blog! Stampin' Up's "Distinktive" Prized Peony Stamp Set adds depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images ideal for water colouring.
Hi everyone. We are back with another Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart Team. This is Week 2 and our featured colour tonight is Basic Gray from the Neutrals family. I have combined it with two other neutral colours - Night of Navy and Merry Merlot to make my card. I decided on a Masculine theme for my card tonight. I really should add more of these to my stash because I usually get caught out at the last minute when one is needed. I chose images from the Sailing Home stamp set. The Sailing Home stamp set is a carry-over from our last Annual Catalogue, and there is a coordinating die set that can be purchased separately. I cut strips of the card stock into half inch pieces and laid them onto a wide piece of sticky note tape, one under the other. Then I stamped the yacht and bird images in Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder. I removed the backing tape and making sure to match the images exactly, I glued each piece onto a small panel of Whisper White card stock and then trimmed the excess from the edges. I wanted to emboss the whole panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder but it was too thick to pass through my machine. To my surprise though, by attempting to emboss it, I had actually crimped the top of the panel. I liked the look of this, so I repeated it at the bottom as well. You can see it in the photo above. I glued this panel onto a slightly larger piece of Whisper White to create the border. On the large mat of Basic Gray, I stamped the compass image tone-on-tone three times, and then I ran it through the Subtle embossing folder. I cut a length of the 3/8" Denim Ribbon and added it to the top left hand corner, taping the ends behind the Basic Gray layer. This was added to the Whisper White card base before the top panel. Three Night of Navy rhinestones in the top right corner helped to balance everything. Lastly, I used a couple of Stitched Rectangles Dies to create the flagged banner and sentiment. To create the flagged end, I simply laid the die back on top of the already cropped rectangle but only using the corner set on an angle. The 'Happy Birthday' greeting is from the Family Party stamp set, and it's stamped in Basic Gray ink. On the inside of the card I added a couple of Stitched Rectangles in Basic Gray and Whisper White. Please click on Catherine's blog link below to see her wonderful creation, along with links to all of tonight's participants from the Art With Heart Team. It's Wednesday and I'm back with the Art With Heart Team for another week of our Colour Creation Showcase. This week we are sharing projects that feature Granny Apple Green. Granny Apple Green is in our Brights Collection and it is a lovely clear green colour. For this card I used a newly purchased stamp set called From All Of Us. I first stamped the large image in Memento Ink. I stamped this image again on some Sticky Notes and then cut out the image to make a mask. I was a bit fiddly to cut out, but now I have the mask I will be able to reuse it numerous times. With the mask in place I stamped the tree images in the background. Once the stamping was done I coloured the image with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below. The greetings are stamped on Whisper White and the large one is cut with a circle from the Stitched Shape Dies. The final step was to wind a piece of Linen Thread around the bottom of the card. This piece was mounted on a Granny Apple Green card base. For more inspiration from the Art With Heart Team using Granny Apple Green head to Cathy's blog for a full list of tonight's participants. Hello and welcome, everyone. We are up to Week 16 in our Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart Team. Tonight, Flirty Flamingo has the centre stage spotlight. This lovely dusty, candy pink is from the Brights Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. Tonight I have teamed it with gold and brass elements to enhance its pretty pink colour. The main Whisper White layer was embossed first with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and then cropped with a die from the Ornate Layers die set. The Flirty Flamingo layer was edge cut with the same die and I rounded the lower left corner with the Detailed Trio punch to echo the round corners of the first layer. I then embossed with the leaf pattern from the Greenery set of two embossing folders. I stamped the large and medium daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set onto Shimmery White and Flirty Flamingo card stock in Flirty Flamingo ink, and punched out with their coordinating punches. For the beautiful brass foil centre, I used one of the smallest flower dies from the Wreath Builder die set on page 173 of the Annual Catalogue. The sentiment is also from the Daisy Lane stamp set and I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo onto Whisper White. I used two Stitched Rectangles to crop the word 'friend' and the Brass Foil backing layer. I love thinking of different ways to use the gorgeous Gold Hoop embellishments. They are easy to attach with glue dots and then they can be easily disguised with other embellishments and die-cuts or punched out images. To compliment all the lovely gold and brass elements, I added some gold Gilded Gems and gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim pack. You can just see a sneaky peak of the inside of the card. I layered a piece of Whisper White onto a slightly larger piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock for the simple writing panel. Thank you so much for joining us each week to see our colour focus projects hosted by our lovely team member, Catherine Proctor. We hope you are enjoying what you see and are getting lots of inspiration from the Art With Heart team members. Hello and welcome, everyone. The Art with Heart team are back with another Colour Creations Showcase. We are up to Week 13 and tonight's featured colour is Crushed Curry from the Regals family of Stampin' Up! colours. Crushed Curry is a lovely, mustard yellow and here is the colour combination I chose for my card. I started with a Thick Whisper White card base, and to this I added a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock that I had dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then cropped with a Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I took a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock, and dry embossed that with the continuous leaf pattern from the Greenery Embossing Folders. I used Crushed Curry ink to create a colour wash onto a piece of water colour paper. You can set this aside to dry, or if you're impatient like me 😉, you can use the Heat Tool to dry it. I love the light and dark hues of colour that you can achieve with this technique. When it was dry, I cropped with a Stitched So Sweetly Die and then I sponged around the scalloped edge with Crushed Curry ink. I've used the large poppy outline die, stamens and leaves from the Poppy Moments Dies. The poppy was cut from the gorgeous Brass Foil, the stamens from Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green card stock, and of course the leaf from Granny Apple Green. For my little touch of 'bling', I added a clear Elegant Faceted Gem to the centre of the flower. I heat embossed the small splatter stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set in gold. In the photo above it's easy to see the lovely embossed shine. I added the leaf with glue dots and the poppy with dimensionals. I used a sentiment from the Love Of Leaves stamp set. I love the font in this set and thought it went well with the design of the card. I inked the stamp with Versamark then Crushed Curry, sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. You can have any colour sentiment by using this method, because you don't need a specific coloured embossing powder - isn't that great! The sentiment was trimmed to size, along with the subtle embossed Crushed Curry piece, to fit the brass foil Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. That's it from me tonight lovely people, thanks for stopping by. It's time to head over to Catherine's blog to see the rest of tonight's projects from the team. Misty Moonlight is a lovely dusty blue, and I chose two patterns from Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper with Misty Moonlight as the background colour, to compliment the beautiful dove on my card. This beautiful die-cut dove is from the Detailed Dove dies that coordinate with the Dove Of Hope stamp set. These two products are in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue and are currently 'ON SALE' in our Stampin' Up! Year-End Closeout Sale. (Just click on the Shop Online with Caroline button on the right hand side of my blog for all the details). The dove is made from our Shimmery White card stock and Vellum - I love the soft look of the wings. The sprig of olive leaves was die-cut from Old Olive card stock. The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight, and I added basic rhinestones over the two dots that separate the words, Peace - Joy - Love. The doves' eye is a silver metallic pearl. Inside, the writing panel is made from layers of card stock and DSP and I used another of the stamps from the Dove of Hope set and stamped it in Misty Moonlight classic ink. I love the embossed detail on the body of the dove, created when it's cut with the die. The sentiment was fussy-cut with paper snips. Well, this is where I say farewell and see you all again next time - thanks for stopping by. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Misty Moonlight projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of all tonight's participants on her blog. Check them all out using this link: https://whatcathymade.com.au/art-with-heart-colour-creations-showcase-week-28-misty-moonlight/ Stay safe and well. See you all again soon. Hello and welcome to Week 18 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Gorgeous Grape in our projects and it's such a gorgeous colour! Gorgeous Grape is part of the Brights Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more. For my project I've used the Forever Fern Bundle, Gold Foil and the Gold Hoop Embellishment. They all add an interesting look to the card. The other main feature is the boldness of the water colour stripes using Gorgeous Grape Ink, the large flat brush and Shimmery White Cardstock. It's all free hand and using Grid Paper as a guide for straight lines. I've made some of the lines a littler softer shade of Gorgeous Grape. I've used the combination of Gorgeous Grape and Just Jade Ink for the stamped images from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. The images are then die cut out using the Forever Flourishing Dies. The Gold Foil is perfect little addition to the arrangement to the Gold Hoop and foliage. I just love all of the tiny little details this bundle can give you. The layers of Cardstock are Gorgeous Grape for the card base and a panel in Gold Foil. I like to die cut out some of the images from the Gold Foil panel, before layering the Shimmery White Cardstock on top. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and inked up in Gorgeous Grape onto a scrap piece of Whisper White. The finale touch, I added Rich Razzleberry Artistry Blooms Sequins to my project. Thank you for visiting my blog with the Colour Creations Weekly Showcase and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's projects. The Art with Heart Team are back with another round of Colour Creations, where we showcase each of the Stampin’ Up! colours, a different colour each week, so that you can get some inspiration…
This week I, along with some of my fellow Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team members, have a Pacific Point creation to share with you. This is a blue I seldom use, so I enjoyed the challenge - and, as is usually the case, found that I like the colour more than I thought I did! Cathy Proctor co-ordinates our weekly colour shares, and has a comprehensive list on her blog of all this week's participants. I've teamed Pacific Point with Whisper White and silver, to make a congratulations card. Adding a metallic into the mix meant photographing my card was a bit tricky, but I love how it came out. I had a lot of fun playing with the new Circle Celebration stamp set for the first time. I stamped the smaller, sunburst-type image, several times on my background Whisper White card, using Versamark ink, and then heat-embossed them with silver embossing powder. The largest (what I think look moon-like) circles were stamped in Pacific Point ink on Whisper White card, then die-cut using Layering Circles dies. The spotty circles were punched out with a (now retired) 1 1/8" circle punch - first I stamped one in Pacific Point ink on Whisper White card, and white-embossed one on Pacific Point card. In this photo, you can see how, after stamping one of the larger mottled circles in Pacific Point ink, I silver-embossed a foliage image over the top: The Silver Foil sheet strip running vertically down the left-hand side of my card has been embossed with a Little Details embossing folder. I've added some Pacific Point and Silver Foil stars (cut using Stitched Stars dies) to my card. The sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set. Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below. Make sure you visit Cathy's blog, to see her beautiful creation, and the list of everyone participating in this week's Colour Creations Showcase. Hi! Welcome back to the second week of the Colour Creations Showcase. We are working through the colours in alphabetical order, which makes this week Basic Gray. Not a colour I use a lot, but I'm always up for a challenge! I had my new Blossoms In Bloom bundle out on my craft desk, so I decided to have a go at making a feminine card using a less traditional feminine colour. I started by stamping the blooms onto my Whisper White card base, stamping off once first. I also stamped off for the flower centres and a few leaves. The sentiment label is from Painted Labels, decorated with some flower die cuts from the Many Layered Blooms Dies. After I adhered them to my card, I thought they needed something a little extra. I cut some of the leaves from the big flower die and popped them underneath the flowers. It still needed more, so I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre of each flower. I stamped the flowers and leaves again on the inside, also stamped off. As nice as the flowers are in their entirety, sometimes it's nice to just use a portion of the image. I'm not sure that I love this card, but I do like it. Basic Gray was certainly a challenging colour to make a feminine card from, without any other colours to balance it. Time now to head on over to Catherine's Blog, where you can find the rest of this week's Basic Gray cards. Next week is a favourite of mine, Bermuda Bay. Bye for now, Tina
Welcome back to week 8 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Calypso Coral. Calypso Coral is a colour from the Subtles colour collection and is a peachy type of colour. This week I have chosen to team it with Petal Pink and Smokey Slate. For my card I have chosen to use the beautiful Forever Blossoms Bundle and coloured the leaves with the light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend and the flowers with both the light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends. The small piece of DSP at the top of the card is actually from the Whale of a Time DSP pack. One side of each of the papers is patterned and the other side features sealife. This is one of the patterned sides. I have dry embossed the bottom Petal Pnk cardstock with the absolutely beautiful Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing folder. The ribbon is Whisper White Faux Linen from the Flowers For Every Season combo pack. Finally I have added a bi of bling with some Champagne Rhinestones. As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top. To see more of this weeks beautiful creations please hop over to Catherine Protor's blog. Don't forget to leave a comment! Next week we will be featuring Cherry Cobler one of the colours from the Regals collection of colours so make sure you pop back and visit us then. Enjoy your week! T
This week's Colour Creations showcase, hosted by Catherine Proctor, is focussing on Gorgeous Grape. A group of us is sharing projects featuring this colour, and we love for you to visit our blogs, and leave some comment love! Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants. If you right click on each of the links, you can open up all the blog posts in separate tabs, to make "hopping" around our blogs easier. I had a few colour combos in mind for this week's challenge, but opted for Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape. I do like Crumb Cake as a neutral to pair with purples. I've used one of the floral images from Painted Poppies. I stamped it first on a piece of Whisper White card, using Jet Black StazOn ink. After colouring the poppies with Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather Stampin' Write Markers, I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to create a sweet scalloped stitched rectangle. Using my Gorgeous Grape inkpad, stamping off onto scrap paper first, I stamped the same poppies image on a piece of Crumb Cake card, that had already been stamped with the Birch background in Whisper White craft ink. (I do think my inkpad needs reinking, as the stamping, and sponging of the card edges, is very subtle!) After stamping this piece with the Birch and Painted Poppies, I embossed it with one of the Greenery embossing folders. Because these embossing folders are narrow, I had to emboss the landscape panel in two steps to cover the whole surface. The sentiment is white-embossed (stamped in Versamark ink first) on Gorgeous Grape card, and cut out using an Ornate Frames die. I tucked one end under the poppies panel. The sentiment is a stamp from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. In this next photo, you can see some of the Birch stamp in Whisper White ink. I scattered a few Gorgeous Grape hearts on the card, after cutting them from a Stitched Be Mine die. Don't forget to visit Cathy's blog to see who else is taking part in this week's Colour Creations Showcase. All of the products I used to make this card are available to purchase from my online store, if you live in Australia. Welcome back to week 6 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Bumblebee. Bumblebee is a colour from the new In Colours for 2020-22 Colour Collection and it is a lovely yellow colour. For my Colour Creations Showcase I have chosen to feature some of the new coordinating Designer Series Paper and a new stamp set of sentiments. There is actually not much stamping on this card, just the sentiment! I have chosen 2 coordinating Designer Series Papers from the Flowers For Every Season Pack and teamed them with some Very Vanilla, Bumblebee and Just Jade cardstock. Just Jade is another of the In Colours that were released recently. Around the centre of the card I have wrapped some Open Weave Vanilla ribbon, from the Forever Greenery trim pack and topped it with some beautiful Bumblebee Gingham ribbon. The flowers I have popped on are actually from the Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Cards. In the centre of the flowers I have adhered some of the new In Colour enamel dots just to accentuate the flowers a bit. Finally a cute little Bumblebee Gingham bow to finish it off! It's just a nice and quick card to put together with some lovely coordinating products. As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top. Large floral images in the Bloom & Grow stamp set and the Budding Bloom dies make card making fast and easy as the spray of flowers are already beautifully arranged!
The Dove of Hope bundle makes for quick, easy and stunning Christmas cards, especially when you use Gray Granite, Whisper White and Gold Foil.
This week the Art With Heart Team are featuring the colour Flirty Flamingo in their Colour Creations Showcase. For this project I thought I would use a set that hasn't seen ink for a while, Good Morning Magnolia. I have been excitedly using products from the August - Dec Mini Catalogue and I have neglected those in our beautiful Annual Catalogue. I stamped the main image in Memento ink on Whisper White and coloured with blends markers. The colours I used are listed at the end of the post. To colour the Magnolia I used the Light Flirty Flamingo on the inside of the petals and then blended the edges with the Colour Lifter. The leaves were colored with the three greens, blending with the Light Olive Marker. The white ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season was coloured with the Light Flirty Flamingo Marker and tied with a small piece of the Open Weave Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Ribbon pack. The greeting is stamped and embossed on Gray Granite card stock and die cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I added a few Pearl Rhinestones underneath. The background for the card is a piece from the In Good Taste Speciality DSP pack. For more inspiration using Flirty Flamingo, head to Cathy's blog for a full list of tonight's participants. You will be wowed by their creativeness and talent. Thank you for stopping by, we'll be back next week to feature Garden Green. Welcome to week 2 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we will be showcasing Basic Grey. As a Stampin'Up! demonstrator I have the very lucky opportunity to pre-purchase selected products from the Annual catalogue before they are available to everyone. One of the suites on my "must have" list was fortunately available for pre-purchase, and that was the In Good Taste Suite, which includes a beautiful DSP and an equally beautiful stamp set. You may have actually seen it featured in some of last week's Colour Creations Showcase participants cards they created. In my case I have actually chosen to CASE the card on page 122 of the catalogue. As with the card in the catalogue I have stamped the leaf sprigs directly onto the DSP, something that I don't often do but I actually like the effect. The beautiful flowers have been stamped in Black Memento and then coloured with Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends. The sentiment has been stamped in Basic grey and then the die cut has been embossed using my favourite folder, the Subtle embossing folder. As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top. To see more of this week's beautiful creations then please head over to Catherine Proctor's blog and don't forget to leave a comment ! Enjoy your week. T x
Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Showcase. Each week we will be featuring on of the Stampin' Up! colours, in alphabetical order. The first colour we are featuring is Balmy Blue. For my first card I have paired Balmy Blue with Petal Pink, Whisper White and Night of Navy. The stamp set I have used is called Tasteful Touches and the coordinating dies are called Tasteful Labels. For my second card I have paired Balmy Blue with Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Old Olive. The DSP in the background is from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. The stamp set I used is called Beautiful World and the coordinating dies are called World Map Dies. I water coloured a piece of Watercolour paper with Balmy Blue and Old Olive and then stamped the globe in Early Espresso. The buckle on the Faux Suede Ribbon is from the Antiqued Corners and Slides Elements. I will be back soon with more inspiration from the new 2020-2021 Catalogue. Today I am joining with a number of other Stampin' Up! team members, from Claire Daly's Art With Heart team, in a Colour Creations Showcase. Catherine Proctor is co-ordinating this weekly share, and has a list on her blog of all participants. We'd love for you to visit all our blogs, and leave some comment love! This week's colour of choice, for our projects, is Balmy Blue. I have used some sweet Balmy Blue gingham Designer Series Paper for my background. Unfortunately the gingham pattern retired yesterday! We still have papers in Balmy Blue, but a new set of designs is coming, with the release today of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Here are the Stampin' Up! colours I've used on today's card: One of my first "must haves" from the new catalogue was the Birds & Branches bundle, which contains lots of adorable stamps and co-ordinating dies. I stamped my little bird in Balmy Blue, and added a stamped-off layer of Night of Navy for the wing. Can you see how there are separate dies for the bird's body and feet? The Stitched Rectangle panel of Whisper White card has been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Before embossing it, I adhered some die-cut hearts from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. The Crinkled Seam Binding and rhinestones have been coloured with my Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends marker. Listed below are the current Stampin' Up! products used to make this card. Although the gingham design paper retired yesterday, I will link to the new pack of Subtles Designer Series Papers, which will be my new go-to pack if I'm using Balmy Blue. Be sure to head to Catherine's blog, to see who else is sharing their Balmy Blue creations tonight! Welcome to another week of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase where this week our feature colour is Gray Granite, which belongs to the Neutrals group of colours. This week I have 2 cards to share with you but both are using the same colour combination of Gray Granite, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink. My first card features the beautiful Prized Peony bundle and the gorgeous large flower stamp and the matching die. I have chosen to colour the Peony with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin blends. The Peony has been mounted on Whisper White cardstock that has been both embossed using the Dainty diamonds folder and then die cut using one of the Ornate Layers dies. This has then been mounted on a piece of DSP from the Peony Garden DSP pack. The sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases stamp set which has been punched using one of the Banners Pick a Punch from the current Mini catalogue. Finally some beautiful Organdy Striped ribbon and cute little butterfly using one of the Butterfly Beauty dies. For my second card I have used another piece of the DSP from the Peony Garden pack and chosen to colour it using the same colours of Stampin Blends as used in the above card. I do find colouring so relaxing which is so important in these trying times. Once again I have used some of the beautiful Organdy Striped ribbon but also mounted the sentiment panel on a Square Vellum Dollie. The sentiment is also from the Prized Peony stamp set. It's a bit hard to see from the photograph but the coloured DSP has also been embossed using the Subtle embossing folder. As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top. To see more of this weeks beautiful creations please hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Please take the time to visit all of the blogs and if you feel so inclined then please leave a comment. Thanks for visiting. Next week our feature colour will be Highland Heather so don't forget to pop back and check out the creations. Enjoy your week T
Hello and welcome, everyone. It's Week 18 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team, and tonight's featured colour is Gorgeous Grape. Gorgeous Grape is from the Bright's Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. I love making square cards and I love the Arrange A Wreath Bundle from the Annual Catalogue. The bundle isn't just for Christmas as it has other occasion elements, including Easter and Valentines Day. This is only the second card I've made using the wreath dies, but it's a recent purchase for me and I can already tell that I'll use it often. The wreath is three layers thick. The first two layers are Whisper White card stock, but on the second layer I added some softly sponged Gorgeous Grape ink. The third leaf layer was cut from Gorgeous Grape card stock. I've mentioned before how much I love non traditional colours on Christmas cards. I think this purple and white combo is really striking! There is so much to love about this bundle. Just look at the soft and subtle impressions on these die cuts. I've used three beautiful gold Gilded Gems for the poinsettia centre. Do you like the layering on the brass foil bow? There are two full bow die-cuts, two loop die-cuts and I tied a double bow with the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim pack. To the square card base front I added double matting in Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape. Before I dry embossed the Whisper White layer that the wreath is attached to, I sponged some Gorgeous Grape ink in a circle shape leaving the centre space clear. I love the soft shading behind the wreath. For the inside, I added a simple matted writing panel and a narrow strip of brass foil for a little touch of elegance. The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly die. Well that's it from me tonight, thank you for stopping by. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Gorgeous Grape projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of tonight's participants on her blog. Check them all out using this link: https://whatcathymade.com.au/art-with-heart-colour-creations-showcase-week-18-gorgeous-grape/ Stay safe and well. See you all again soon. Hello and welcome to Week 1 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor will be running a weekly blog and other members from the Art With Heart Team. This week we start off with Balmy Blue and I hope we will inspire you with our variations of this beautiful colour. Balmy Blue is from the Subtles Collection, it’s available in Ink, Cardstock, DSP, Blends and more. I’ve created a card using some of these products, I’ve match Balmy Blue with Night of Navy and Highland Heather. I started off with the card base using Balmy Blue Cardstock, stamped the splatted stamp in Balmy Blue Ink on the Cardstock. The stamp is from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set and is caring over into the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. I’m so happy to see this beautiful Stamp Set and coordinating Dies in the Annual Catalogue. I’ve stamped both of the Poppy Stamps in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and coloured them in with the Stampin’ Blends using the light & dark Balmy Blue, light Night of Navy and light Highland Heather. The leaves are in Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. To create the striped DSP, I’ve used a panel of Whisper White Cardstock by mixing Balmy Blue Ink and Frost White Shimmer Paint onto an acrylic block, this gives the ink a pearl shine to it. Refer to the photo below. Using the Paper Trimmer as a guidance, place the Cardstock under the ruler and use an Aqua Painter (which is now retired, but we have a new product called Water Painters) to create the stripes onto the Cardstock. See the photo below. The sentiment is from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Please visit Catherine’s blog to see her creation and the links to all of the other participants who have taken part in this week’s showcase. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Balmy Blue. Make sure you come back next week to see Basic Grey in our projects. If you would like the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue, I would be happy to send you a copy out to you. Please contact me here. This week's Colour Creations Showcase, hosted by Catherine Proctor, is focussing on Coastal Cabana. Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants in this week's creative share. We hope you will check out everyone's creations, for some ideas to use this lovely light greeny-blue. My card uses this colour combination, suggested by Stampin' Up! I love it, especially for a masculine card. I have used Sailing Home, and the co-ordinating Smooth Sailing dies, to make a nautical-themed card. I found my Coastal Cabana inkpad throws a lot more green than the colour of my Coastal Cabana cardstock, but I think it works okay, since I have another green in the mix. I used a blending brush to apply Coastal Cabana ink to my die-cut Whisper White panel. I lightly stamped a horizontal line stamp, from The Right Triangle, randomly over the blended ink, to give the impression of water (rather than the yachts floating on an inky blob). The yachts were stamped in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White card, then coloured using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. I've used a few different colouring mediums on this card ... inkpads, Watercolor Pencils, and Stampin' Blends. The ribbon on the card is Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding, coloured with my Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends marker. The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper, from the Brights collection. I like that the woodgrain pattern, horizontally, looks like waves. On the Pear Pizzazz panel, I repeatedly stamped (second generation, or stamped off, to give a slightly lighter impression than at full-strength colour) the compass image from Sailing Home. I then added a die-cut rope frame, using Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and Smooth Sailing dies. This view gives you a closer look at the "waves" created using The Right Triangle stamp. Please forgive that my poor eyesight didn't notice that there were straggly card fibres on the die-cut yacht! I have cleaned them up now, but unfortunately didn't notice them when photographing the card. Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card. They are available to purchase from my online store ... if you live in Australia, I'd love for you to shop with me. I'm back with week 25 of the Color Creations Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Melon Mambo which is a lovely deep pink in our Brights Color Family. I have just received a couple of preorder stamp sets, that as a demonstrator I was allowed to order early from the upcoming Jan to June Mini and the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I love being a demonstrator, especially when it comes with all these perks. Contact me if you would like more information on becoming a demonstrator. Now, back to the stamping. For this card I inked up one of the sets that will be available for free during our Sale-a-bration sale that starts in January, called Darling Donkeys. Aren't they cute? I stamped in Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock and coloured with Blends Markers. He has a Melon Mambo rose in his mouth. All the colours used are listed at the end of the post. Then I very carefully fussy cut the donkey. The donkey is mounted on a heart of Basic Black card stock from the Stitched Be Mine dies. The greeting is also from the Darling Donkeys stamp set. I'm not sure that Camouflage patterns really go with donkeys, especially when they are pink, but...they do now. I mounted the Camouflage stamp on my Stamparatus so that I could ink in Melon Mambo and stamp the image more than once if I needed to, and I did, to get and even coverage. The mat is Basic Black and the card base is Thick Whisper White. As these donkeys are a preorder they are not on the list below, but all of the other supplies I used to make this card are. Thank you for visiting, for more Melon Mambo inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a full list of tonight's participants. Welcome back to week 3 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week our feature colour is Bermuda Bay. Bermuda Bay in my mind is a light teal colour and one that is probably not used often enough as it really is a lovely colour. I have chosen to team it with one of the lovely Designer Series Papers from the Flower For Every Season which is pack of floral designs in a 6X6 size format. With this DSP one side is a lovely colourful floral and the other side in most cases a pattern. I have first dry embossed the DSP with the Subtle embossing folder and then cut it out with one of the Ornate Layers Dies. The sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set has been heat embossed onto Bermuda Bay cardstock and then cut with a die from the Painted Labels dies. Finally I have added some White crinkled seam binding ribbon and some leaves cut from vellum with one of the dies from the Forever Flourishing die set. Finally a couple of the mettalic pearls for some dimension on a couple of the flowers. As always if you would like to know more about anything Stampin Up!, would like me to pop a brand new catalogue in the mail to you, or would like to order any of the beautiful products then please contact me via the Facebook tab up the top.
