As promised, here's a free photo tutorial of one of the more complicated of the designs we did at Advanced Papercrafters Class this month, featuring the Circles Card Thinlits for the Sizzix Big Shot. I'm calling it a porthole flip-fold card, for obvious reasons... basically there's a window that goes all the way through to the back of the card. This would be really cool to use with our Clear Translucent Envelopes! Here's the card, opened... you can see the basic Circles Card Thinlit base, with extra openings. It's waaaaaay easier than you'd think, actually! So uncomplicated, actually, that you...

Coffee and Card LIVE REPLAY New Hearts & Hugs Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! Five cards made with a stamp set I bought for just 2 sentiments?
Do you like mixing up a card design after you've made a card? I often like to use the same elements to create a different look. Let me show you what I mean. Remember this card I shared, using the Sale-a-bration Blossoming Basket stamp set. Well, after I made it with my SU team, I felt like playing around with the same pieces to create a couple of different looks - each with different levels of fussy cutting too. Some people love to fussy cut & some really loathe it so it's good to be able to have different options. No Fuss So I started my mix-up with a no fussy cutting version using the same card pieces. I embossed the pool party card with the Sale-a-bration Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder that's teamed with Blossoming Basket. Partially cutting the pretty Blossoming Basket image with the largest square die in the Stitched Shapes die set gives you a fast & gorgeous look with no fussy cutting. Yay! Again, this idea was inspired by these cards made by the fabulous Emma Godddard. I changed up the blossoms colours using calypso coral Stampin' Blends markers, plus the original old olive & crumb cake Blends. I backed the image with a square of pear pizzazz card & sweet doily. It looks so pretty sitting over the card edge. I couldn't resist adding a fussy cut butterfly too. Fussy Lavender This card fits the bill for those who love fussy cutting or lavender. Doesn't that basket of lavender look so beautiful? The brilliant idea to use the Sale-a-bration Lots of Lavender stamp set with Blossoming Basket also came from Emma Godddard's cards. I changed up the ribbon colours for this version, substituting lemon lime twist ombre ribbon & fresh fig ribbon. I love how fresh it looks. To make the lavender basket: - Stamp the whole Blossoming Basket image - no need to mask off the flowers. - Colour in the basket, then make a long horizontal slit just under the blossoms. - Stamp three lavender images & colour with rich razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut them out. - Slip the lavender into the slit, position them as you like and secure with adhesive - dimensionals. You may want to cut off some of the leaf sprigs so each lavender looks a little different. You can watch Emma's fb live video if you'd like to see this process visually. Thanks so much Emma for sharing this fabulous idea. So, which one's your favourite? Leave me a comment to let me know which one you'd like to make more & pin them for later inspiration too. You can see all my other Blossoming Basket projects here. Thanks for visiting today. I hope you come back again soon for more ideas. Inky wishes, Di Remember - the Blossoming Basket bundle & Lots of Lavender stamps are only available until 31 March when Sale-a-bration ends. The first card is a Thinking of You card or Just Because!! All projects are stamped in Polished Pink, Pool Party, Highland Heather, and Pear Pizazz. The second card is a Thank You card that is designed using the Amazing Thanks dies.
The new Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set is one of my favorites in the new catalog - it's delicate and very pretty. The font on the sentiments is gorgeous!! For this card, I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo ink and colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin' Blends. The inspiration for today's card was this week's Global Design Project Challenge. It's fun to case a wonderful designer! Here's the card we are casing: Under the pretty floral circle is a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock embossed with a new 3D Embossing Folder called Dotted Circles. Isn't it amazing?

Good Sunday morning, peeps! How's your weekend going? Mine will end on a high note as I will be doing dinner and cocktails with my upstate NY family via Zoom. It's my turn for cocktails so we'll be making a Yule Mule. Their choice for dinner is a Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake. So, on to my card. The In the Moment Stamp Set will be available to customers January 4, 2022, in the Jan-June Mini Catalog. I love this set! My card base is Thick Basic White cardstock. I adhered a panel of Simply Marbelous DSP (available for free with $50 purchase during the Jan-Feb Sale-A-Bration). Next I cut out a Coastal Cabana scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies. Then I stamped the image on a scrap of Basic White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I sponged a bit of Balmy Blue ink to make it look like sky. I colored her dress with Light and Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. I colored the wine glass with a Merry Merlot Stampin' Write Marker and Light Basic Gray Stampin' Blend. I used Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color her hair and railing. Her skin is colored with an Ivory Stampin' Blend. The bands around her waist and hat are colored with a Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend. The sentiment is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on scrap Basic White and cut out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. I adhered the image and sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Three Garden Gems finished the front. For the inside, I had a little "oopsie"...little did I realize I had stuck my hand in the ink and had very noticeable smudges on the left part of the card. So, I covered it with a panel of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP, also from the upcoming for Sale-A-Bration. I had already stamped the sentiment and added a strip of the Simply Marbelous DSP at the bottom. It looked rather odd having two different patterns so I cut a 1/2" strip of the matching Sunshine & Rainbows pattern and adhered. I used Bermuda Bay to sponge the inside as the white was too bright for my taste. Thank you for stopping by today and let me know if you tried the recipes I linked. I did a trial run for the Yule Mule and it was VERY refreshing! I'll let you know tomorrow how dinner went. You DO care, don't you? LOL!!
These Diamond Fold Cards are so easy to make. There are lots of different designs for this fold but I like this one because it’s pretty and simple to make.
WOW - this is one amazing Stamp Set and the best thing is....it is a FREEBIE from Sale~A~Bration and you can easily see that it is a set that you will use....FOREVER! Such clean and classic stamps! The can be left plain...they can be jazzed up - the choice is yours! We are less than 2 weeks away from Sale-a-bration coming to an end.
