When I won the gorgeous new designer series paper, Mediterranean Blooms, at OnStage in Houston, I immediately thought of one of my favorite stamp sets, Sweet Citrus. So what did I make? The background paper is rather busy (but beautiful!) so I added a piece of Vellum cardstock over it to mute it a little. And check out the greeting: Did you know you can emboss in all our colors? I first inked up the stamp with Garden Green ink, and using my Misty stamp positioner, stamped the greeting twice. Then I cleaned my stamp, leaving everything in place, and re-inked it with Versamark. Once stamped I added Clear embossing powder and heated it with my heat tool, and voila! A beautiful, embossed greeting in Garden Green! And then there's those lemons - OMG, one of my favorite stamp/die combinations! Inked in Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight, the images were stamped, then cut AND embossed at the same time with the hybrid embossing folder. Genius! This card came together so nicely, using old and new. And I know this DSP is going to become one of my favorites! Heads up - Sweet Citrus is on the retiring list, so if this is a set you've been craving, don't delay. It will be gone before we know it! I love having new Designer Series Paper to play with, and I have to say that this year's batch is pretty awesome. This week I'll be sharing cards made with the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. It has beautiful citrus fruits on one side and gorgeous blue tiled patterns on the other. On this card I used the Spotlight on Nature dies to frame my oranges (cut from the DSP). Hello stamping friends! It's a new month its time for us to get our fancy on with the new Stampin' Fancy Friday Challenge. This month we are all about our New Annual catalogue Favs. The Design Team were to create a fancy project using any new Stampin' Up! products from the new 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. While I love just about everything in this new catalogue a real standout for me was the amazing Mediterranean Blooms DSP. The blue and white patterns on one side and then the Yellows, Oranges, and Greens on the other for a beautiful sun-soaked citrus and enchanting Mediterranean look. Isn't it just stunning??!! I've created a Fancy/Fun Fold card for you today with my adaptation of a Criss Cross Card. I followed this tutorial here for the basic design but changed it up a little to make it my own. The base of the card is two cards adhered together in the middle and then the each side panel is diagonaly cut from corner to corner. These panels fold over each other thus creating the Criss Cross. These side panels can be glued together so that they make a pocket like card or left as is so that they can open to see the inside of the card. I left the panels as is so that they can open once the belly band is taken off. I've created the base of the card with Basic White and then layered Night of Navy and one of the Mediterannean Blooms DSP patterns. In the centre I've added the beautiful foliage die cut from the Citrus Blooms Dies to add a bit of tone on tone interest and texture. The belly band uses the same coordination of products but with the addition of some of the citrus designs from the Mediterannean Blooms DSP. These citrus colours create a beautiful contrast to the blue and white tones and add to the stunning look of this DSP. Some of the citrus designs are even large enough to fussy cut and can be used as an element on your projects. Here I've layered various circle dies with the smaller of the foilage dies and that beautiful lemon imagery fron the Mediterannean Blooms DSP. The Blues and Yellows remind me a lot of the colours of my primary school uniform that was these colours but it didn't look nearly half as stunning as this DSP. Ha! The belly band has been finished off with some Linen Thread, the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon, some Opal Rounds and a heat embossed sentiment from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set. I do hope you like my Fancy creation using one of my Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue Favourites and that I've given you some inspiration in using the Mediterannean Blooms DSP. Do you remember these fun strip cards I shared over a year ago? I loved them and was reminded of this technique recently at our Summer Stampin' Soiree! I wanted to give them a try with the beautiful blue patterns in the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Blooms designer paper! How to Make the Strip Card: cut your designer paper patterns (I recommend at least 4 to 5 patterns) at 1/2' wide by 6' long cut a front panel for your card at 4' x 5-1/4' apply liquid glue or an adhesive sheet to the front panel start laying strips

Hi there stamping friends! Thanks for stopping here at my blog. Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project #446 | #GDP446 | Sketch Challenge. It's been a white since I've played along over at the GDP but was super keen to join their sketch challenge for this week. As soon as I saw the sketch over on Instagram I had a few ideas swirling around in my head. I had just recieved an order from Stampin' Up! a few days ago with the amazing Mediterannean Blooms Suite and knew that is what I wanted to use for my card today. I've predominantly used the Mediterranean Blooms DSP for this card. I'm so loving the blue and white DSP patterns and when you combine a couple of these patterns together they make for an amazing project. Doesn't the DSP look like those Mediterranean blue-and-white tile designs? I love it! On the other side of the blue and white DSP designs is are beautiful images of blossoming lemons and oranges. These citrus fruits make a beautiful contrast to the blue and white and are beautiful to fussy cut and use on their own, on the front of your card, like what I've done here. I've layered the lemon image on one of the Spotlight on Nature circles and a foliage die cut from the Citrus Blooms Dies. Due to the busy-ness of the amazing DSP I thought the card didn't need much else other than some Linen Thread, some Opal Rounds and the heat embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment that comes from the Friends for Life Stamp Set. Did I say I'm loving this DSP? I'm sure there will be more project using this stunning paper. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia? On my Live with Michele on Tuesday night I created this card using the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper
Now that my Cards-by-Mail have been received by my customers, I thought I would show you the cards they are making. The first one features the beautiful Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, which will be available for purchase on May 1st. The Daffodil Delight layer is embosses with the soon-to-be-retired Sweet Citrus hybrid embossing folder, one of my favorites! Another retiring product: the Garden Green frame was cut with the Scalloped Contours dies, and then the DSP was layered onto it. It was fun to bring in the little lemon, one of the dies in the Simply Sparkling set. It tied into the paper so well! The retiring products sale is in full swing, with many items already gone. If you have been waiting to place an order, you may not want to wait any longer! Product List Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad [147089] $9.00 Daffodil Delight 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [119683] $10.00 Garden Green 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [102584] $10.00 Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Thick Cardstock [159229] $9.00 Scalloped Contours Dies [155560] $35.00 Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder [160644] $33.00 Simply Sparkling Dies [162870] $28.00 Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine [149653] $128.00 Stampin' Dimensionals [104430] $4.25 Mini Stampin' Dimensionals [144108] $4.25

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today I'm participating in a blog hop for CASE-ing the Catty, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you've come here from Peta's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. And this week we are CASE-ing our choice of sketches that are found on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. There are 22 sketches so I'm sure there is at least one that inspires you. If you've been following me here for a while you'll know that I love a sketch challenge. I think because I find them the easiest of all the challenges and I usually get a whole heap of different ideas flowing so its easy to get crafting with a sketch. I also say that a sketch is more of a guide or starting point and I usually end up changing something from the sketch. I try to keep the basic design principles of the sketch but sometimes things need to be changed to suit the project better. I was really drawn to this grid like sketch when trying to decide on what sketch I was going to use. I wanted to use one of the sketches that was a little bit of a different design as to what I normally do when creating cards and this was it. I've used the grid design to create my own background using strips of Basic Black and Basic White. I do love a Black and White stripe and thought that this would go perfectly with the orange colourings of the oranges from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. I've made a couple of projects recently with Blue and White combined with the Mediterranean Blooms Citrus images, which I love but I'm also loving this black and white colour combo with the citrus images too. I've used a few layers of Basic White under the striped grid and then fussy cut the orange image to make it the main focus of the card. I love that with these images they are the 'star of the show' and you don't need to put much else with them if you don't want to. Me, of course, had to add some extra die cuts and some ribbon and trim. A card isn't a card without these things in my book. I've layered one of the Citrus Blooms foliage die cuts, Linen thread and the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check to coordinate with the card. Can't go without that Linen Thread. I finished the card off with a little 'Hello' banner with a ruffled ribbon edge and some Opal Rounds embellishments. This is where I differ from the sketch a little. A banner placed on the card like in the sketch just wouldn't work in my book but put on the card down a little bit is a much better placement. I hope that I've inspired you with my take on this sketch and make sure you check out all the sketches on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. These sketches are a great way to get that crafting mojo going especially if you are in a crafting slump. Why not try an use all 22?! There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is Michelle Strazds with her amazing take on one of the sketches. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations. We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and join in this weeks challenge.
