Check out these vintage suimsuits created with the Sunny Splash stamp set. This makes for a fun all occasion summer card!
I don't know what the temps are where you are but summer has arrived in Kansas City! It inspired me to create fun cards using the Sunny Splash stamp set from Stampin' Up! Summer fun includes sunshine so all my cards feature a bright, cheerful sun. Today's video tutorial shows how to make three types
Welcome to Simple Sunday!! Every Sunday, I create a simple card and step it up on Monday for Makeover Monday. Today's card is created with Stampin' Up's! Sunny Splash stamp set and two new In Colors, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party. The tag is created with the Designer Tag dies and the border is created with the Penned Flowers dies. Here are the dimensions: Tahitian Tide, 11 X 4-1/4, score at 5-1/2 Basic White, 3-7/8 X 2-5/8 Tahitian Tide, 3-3/4 X 2-1/2 Basic White, 2-3/4 X 2, die cut using Designer Tags dies Parakeet Party
I was thrilled that you enjoyed the amazing tip about adding shading to your solid stamped images with watercolor pencils! I just love these cute swimsuits from the Stampin' Up! Sunny Splash stamp set and I think they are even cuter when you add some shading!! What do you think? If you missed the video, watch the replay at the bottom of this post! Before and After Shading with Watercolor Pencils: As I pondered a greeting for this card, I decided to use the new Sending dies, and die cut the shadow layer from the Parakeet
Happy Sunday, friends! Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, Laurie is hosting for our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge. Our theme for this Clean-and-Simple Challenge is “Nautical” and there are so many options for this theme. From boats and lighthouses to swimsuits and sea creatures…I hope you will join us and share your creativity. *I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post. Color Combo: Polished Pink Pool Party Daffodil Delight Basic White For my card, I decided to try to go a little “outside the box” and used the Sunny Splash stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. To fit in with the nautical theme, I used the wavy pattern from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper. I was a little hesitant to use the pattern on a CAS Challenge, but I think it’s still subtle enough to work. If you have visited me before, you know how I ride the “struggle bus” with Clean-and Simple Challenges. I wasn’t going to add anything behind the fussy-cut swimsuits initially, but just felt like they needed to be grounded somehow. I added a simple vellum circle to give them a place to sit. It kind of reminded me of a little inner tube floating in the water. That was my thought process anyway, haha! I had to hold back from too many embellishments for the CAS challenge, but when I found a brand new tub of Loose Flower Flourishes white digging through my stash, I know that single pink flower would be a fun little accent with a little pop of sparkle from the rhinestones. How have I never used these flowers before? They are so fun! I love how this card came together and I hope you do as well. :) Card Measurements & Details: Polished Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4” Celebrate Everything Host Exclusive Designer Series Paper: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” Vellum Cardstock: scrap to die cut the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp swimsuit images in Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight inks, fussy-cut images Basic White Cardstock: 3-3/8” x 5/8" Loose Flower Flourishes and Rhinestone Basic Jewels Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4” Celebrate Everything Host Exclusive Designer Series Paper (inside card): 4” x 1/2” Finally, here is a peek inside the card! This came together quickly with a little strip of the wavy DSP and some coordinating stamps from the set. I just had to pop in one more style of the swimsuit images because a girl has to have options, right? Such a cheery card to pop in the mail to a friend! I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple “Nautical" Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday August 26th, 2022. It is still summer here in Minnesota and even though the mini catalog is out with all the cute new fall/winter stamp sets we just can't break away from summer fun cards. Today we created a simple and fun card using an embossing folder, some fussy cutting and a blending brush. I love how this turned out, I ended up adding Basic Black cardstock to make it really pop off the card front!First, start out with the 3-3/4"x 5" white cardstock and embossed it with the Into the Clouds embossing folder. Hello there! Welcome SUMMERTIME in my part of the world. 😁 This is my FAVORITE time of year! And it is time for a NEW TGIF Challenge!!! This week is an inspirational challenge all about using paper clips! I love this challenge because it is a fun reminder to just look around you for inspiration with your papercrafting! Whether you take colors from your outfit to make a card with, a layout from nature, or an office supply from a junk drawer...there is always inspiration around!!! Today...for this challenge...I mixed some summer with a side of paper clip! 💕 Colors: Polished Pink, Tahitian Tide, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White Inks: Polished Pink, Tahitian Tide, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green, Memento Black Cardstock/Papers: Basic White, Basic White Thick, Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper Stamps: Sunny Splash, Simply Fabulous Tools: Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, Banners Pick A Punch Accessories: Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Paper clip! A fun challenge, huh?! Use those paper clips this week!!! Throw in a side of summer if you want! Hee. Here is a close up of just the fun gold paper clip detail. (This paper clip actually came from a Paper Pumpkin kit! I love the size and color and everything!) And then of course I love the summer colors and images!!! I used some new In Colors and some new stamp sets! Tahitian Tide is that FABULOUS blue! And Parakeet Party is the green!!! (I did some generational stamping to get the lighter color and also mixed in some Granny Apple Green for some "layered" greens!). The stamp sets are Sunny Splash (those bathing suits & that greeting!!!!) and Simply Fabulous (the greenery & florals!!!). In love with both of them! 😀 I hope you enjoy this card & this challenge! Now...head on over to the TGIF Challenge Blog! You can see what the other fabulous designers on this team have made for you! AND you can play along with us!!! Thank you so much for visiting! Hey Guys! I made the most fun and EASY new to me fun fold today on Facebook LIVE. I am calling this the Hamburger Hot Dog Magic Fun Fold, because I want to, lolol. It makes me laugh. My friend Janet made a card like this and shared some pictures on the Kitchen Table Stamper […]
This cute card was inspired by Sketch Challenge 567 from Try Stampin' On Tuesday. When I saw it I knew it was perfect for the Sunny Splash stamp set! MEASUREMENTS Card Base ~ Basic White Thick Cardstock ~ 11" x 4-1/4", score at 5-1/2" Layer 1 ~ Gorgeous Grape Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" Layer 2 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Special tools are not required for lining up the swimsuits. It is handy to have Grid Paper (but then, it's ALWAYS handy to have Grid Paper). Also, grab a pencil and large sticky note. Position your white cardstock on the Grid Paper and use the guidelines to find the center of the cardstock. Mark that spot on the Grid Paper above your cardstock with the pencil. Place the sticky note over the cardstock, leaving enough room above it to stamp the swimsuits. Again, use the guidelines on the Grid Paper, this time to make sure your cardstock and sticky note are straight. Start stamping with the center swimsuit. Remember that pencil mark you made? Use that and the sticky note to position the stamp. Then, repeat with the left and right swimsuits. Finish up by lowering the sticky note and stamping the bottom three swimsuits, in the same order. (Don't forget to clean the stamp and stamp that last swimsuit in a different color) I encourage you to also use your Grid Paper to practice stamping. You know I did! I wanted to make sure I had the positioning of my sticky note and swimsuits correct before stamping on my precious cardstock. I kept the inside simple, just stamping another swimsuit in the lower left corner. Thank you, Try Stampin' On Tuesday, for inspiring me with your sketch challenge! Happy Stamping! It's that time again! Time for SALE-a-bration! During SAB, which runs July 1 - August 31, 2022, choose 1 FREE SAB for every $50 or $100 in purchased Stampin' Up! Product! There's no limit to how many freebies you can earn. PRODUCT LIST Click on any of the photos below to go straight to that item in my online store. Hello crafters, cardmakers, and stampers! Nothing quite says summer like a day at the pool, lake, or beach. I love to spend as much time as I can on the water. These vintage bathing suits are so cute! I stamped them in Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide & Orchid Oasis and used the Tailor Made Tags dies to cut them out. I'm playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week straight down the left side - polka dots, embellishments & turquoise. The little flower embellishments are cut with the "Sending" dies out of Tahitian Tide & Orchid Oasis cardstocks. The greeting strip is also included in the "Sending" dies, and the sentiment is included in the coordinating "Sending Smiles" stamp set. The gems on the flowers are one of my favorites, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. They go with everything!
