Today, I am sharing my set of cards made with the August 2024 Sheetload Of Cards Template created by Alisha, of Call Me Crafty Al. Every month on the first she creates great templates which she shares on her YouTube Channel for free. You can get your free template from her channel. Find out how to GET YOUR FREE COPY of the August 2024 SheetLoad of Cards, here: https://youtu.be/4kMl0a-fWv8 With the template this month you can make 8 handmade cards with 2 sheets 12 x 12 pattern paper. I choose to use the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper for my cards today. This pack It includes 6 12x12 double sided papers and you get 2 of each, here is a small sample of each pattern. I love the large floral patterns mixed with simpler patterns that make mixing and matching so easy. The original layout has a playful diagonal design. However, the colors and pattern paper I chose didn’t have that same playful feeling so I skipped that step and kept the center piece intact. I also removed the center border piece as these patterns didn’t need it. This is just a simple way you can make the Sheetload of Cards Template fit your own personal design style. I used the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set just like last month for my simple greeting and cut out the label and simple floral images with the Thoughtful Expressions Dies in coordinating colors. Paper Pumpkin July alternatives using the Painted Petals kit can be very diverse and easy to make! Let’s make a few into shaker cards and a few into a fun fold featuring the gorgeous flowers.

I am so excited to be sharing these cards with you today. I love June's paper pumpkin kit! I love the idea of beach themed cards (perfect for this time of year when we all wish we could be sitting on the beach with a yummy drink in our hand). I also love all the cute accents and the stamp set is great. I like little cards. They fit perfectly in my purse and I love the idea of handing them out with a plate of cookies or and little gift. However, I know that many people like using standard size cards so I decided to turn this kit into large 4.25 in x 5.5 in cards. I hope you enjoy. Here are the extra supplies needed to make these cards: 4 - Whisper White Cardstock card bases 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25" 1 - Pretty Peacock Cardstock 4" x 5.25" 1 - Soft Sky* Cardstock 4" x 5.25" 2 - Crumb Cake Cardstock 4" x 5.25" 1- Soft Sky* Cardstock 0.5" x 4" *I know this is retired - so if you don't have any use a light blue color you do have. I love how the element pops when paired with the Pretty Peacock Cardstock. I also love how adding color to the coral velum accent piece adds really helps it stand out. This card is very similar to the original one from the kit. I just added a brush of color with my aqua painter and coastal cabana on the Soft Sky Cardstock. I love how this gives it an ocean feeling. This is another one that didn't change too much from the original. Just added some starfish stamps to the background and splatters to add a sandy feeling. This card makes me want to head to the beach right now! Another card where I just added the original card to the front with some stamping behind it. Would you like to watch how I made these cards? These layouts are simple and can be used with any pattern paper, so if you didn’t get the kit you can easy replicate these designs with supplies you already have on hand. Follow the template below. Use the sections with PP1 (First Set of Paper Pumpkin Alternatives). You can click on image to enlarge. 2- Cut the Gray Cardbase into sections. Follow the template below. Use the sections with PP1 (First Set of Paper Pumpkin Alternatives). You can click on image to enlarge. 3- Remove the flap from the Envelope. Open the envelope by trimming off the folded edges. From the front piece, cut down to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. Card #1 Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” Gray Cardbase (kit) – 2” x 4 ¼” Champagne Foil (kit) – 5/8” x 2 ¼” Butterfly Pop-Up Die Cut (kit) 1- Add the Gray Cardbase piece to the bottom of the cardbase. 2- Cut the Champagne strip in half and add one to each side of the card, slightly overlapping the top of the Gray piece. 3- Pop-up the Butterfly. Add the Champagne rectangle behind the opening. Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals. Card #2 Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” Basic White Cardstock – 3 5/8” x 4 3/8” & scrap for greeting Gray Cardbase (kit) – 3 ½” x 4 ¼” Long Label (kit) Champagne Foil Butterfly Open Wings (kit) Basic Gray Ink Spot (kit) 1- Add the Gray Cardbase piece to the center of the Basic White rectangle. There will be a small border. 2- Add the Foil Butterfly to the center of the Long Label with adhesive in the center. Pop-up the wings. 3- Ink only “with love” with Basic Gray ink and trim down to fit. Add to the center of the Butterfly with dimensionals. 4- Add the Label with Butterfly and greeting to the center of the Gray Cardbase piece with dimensionals. Add everything to the center of the Basic White Cardbase. Card #3 Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” Basic White Cardstock – 1 ¾” x 4 ¼” Gray Cardbase (kit) – 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” Champagne Foil (kit) – (2) ¼” x 3 ¾” Envelope (kit) – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” & Flap Basic Gray Ink Spot (kit) 1- Add the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Envelope piece to the front of the cardbase. 2- Add the two Foil Strips to the left and right sides of the Gray Cardbase square. Add this to the left side of the cardbase. 3- Stamp your greeting on the right side of the White strip with Basic Gray ink. Add to the cardbase about ¼” from the right with dimensionals. 4- Fussy cut out three Foil Butterflies from the Envelope Flap. I used the three in the center. 5- Add these around the greeting with dimensionals.. Hiding the straight edges underneath the greeting or lined up with another straight edge. Today I am sharing my first alternative idea using the December 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Lots of Pun. This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Punny Cards, 3 in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing a three cards using the same layout and showing how you can easily give personality to your images. Add to the center of the cardbase at an angle. 3- Stamp three images in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock. Color in with Stampin’ Blends. Add details like faces, mustache, and glasses. Use the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers to draw legs, feet, arms & hands. Add shadow under the images with the Light Crumb Cake Blend. Add at an angle to the cardbase. 4- Cut one of the 1” Crumb Cake strips in half at ½”. Cut the left side at an angle and add to the card below the bananas. Cut the section between the Early Espresso stripe rectangles to create another strip, add to the bottom area of the Crumb Cake strip. Or use other patterns from the kit. 5- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso on a Pool Party strip. Add to the card with dimensionals. 6- Cut 6” of Linen Thread and tie a small bow. Add to the card with a glue dot near the greeting. All Done!
