Welcome to Simple Sunday!! You can create a simply gorgeous card in minutes with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. It is especially pretty with silver embossing, Seaside Spray and Soft Sea Foam. Today I am using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set and matching Magnolia Memory Dies to create my card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. I'm so glad you stopped by and hope you will continue on the hop after you view my card. It's a color challenge for us this week and I couldn't be happier with the colors. I'm writing my post a little differently today and if you prefer my old way, let me know in a comment, please. *I have updated this post with measurements, etc., at the end. Ingredients: Basic Black Card Stock Petal Pink Card Stock Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper Stitched Rectangle Dies Take Your Pick Tool Stampin' Pierce Mat Detailed Trio Punch Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set Magnolia Memory Dies Petal Pink Ink Pad Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad Whisper White Medium Envelopes Clear Block Bundle This is the inside, along with the envelope front. Eva Dobilas Update: July 13, 2019 per request of several readers, I am adding the measurements/assembly. Basic Black Card Base – 4.25” x 11”, scored and folded at 5.5” Choose the dies you want for your frame and sentiment mat. For my frame I used the one that measures approximately 3 3/8” x 4 3/4” and for the mat the one that is approximately 1 3/4" x 3 1/4" Cut 2 buds out of corresponding DSP with bud die from Magnolia Memory Dies or if you are ambitious or don’t have the DSP, you can stamp the bud, color it and then cut it out with the die. If you don’t have the die set, you can fussy cut everything! Stamp big magnolia in Memento Tuxedo Black and color with Blends of your choice. I used Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow because of the challenge – cut out with big die from Magnolia Memory Dies Assembly: Adhere the outer frame. Stamp the Hello on the DSP mat, center in the frame and adhere. Put dimensionals on the large magnolia and place it where you want making sure you can tuck the buds underneath and adhere those with liquid glue or glue dots
Welcome to the third Monday of the month... and another Stamp Review Crew hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. Today we are featuring Good Morning Magnolia, a truly splendid stamp set that is part of the Magnolia Lane Suite. Today I have two cards and a 3D project! Okay, now pick yourselves up off the floor....I do occasionally make something other than cards, and this is going to be a pillow gift filled with chocolates for my daughter when she comes to visit in a few weeks. I started with a 4" x 4" sheet of Magnolia Lane DSP and scored/folded at 3/4" all around to make the lid for the box. Then I used a 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece of Whisper White Thick, scored/folded at 1" all around to make the box bottom. The magnolia and leaves were made using the Magnolia Memory Dies that coordinate with the stamp set. The next project is a card that features that gorgeous BIG magnolia blossom. It's so much fun to color! I used the Old Olive Foil from The Noble Peacock Suite and embossed with the Scripty 3D folder, then adhered it to a Mossy Meadow mat. The blossom was colored with Light Petal Pink, Light Mango Melody, Bronze, and Mossy Meadow Combo Stampin' Blends. After it was colored, it was cut with the die and adhered to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Some Old Olive rhinestones (also from the Noble Peacock Suite) were added to dress it up a bit more. Next is something a little different....a CAS thank you card. I wanted to get away from the magnolia for this one, and the flourish and scripty Thank You just begged for something different. The flourish mimics the lines of the border die beautifully. I decided to add some more foil from Noble Peacock (seriously, Stampin' Up! needs to carry foil in ALL the colors!) along the bottom of the border. Everything was stamped in Night of Navy, with the exception of the leaves, which are Seaside Spray stamped off once. A bit of gingham from the new Neutrals DSP was the perfect "foil" to the foil, don't you think? Up next is New Zealand crew member Nikki Spencer over at My Sandbox. I can't wait to see what she has done with this magnificent magnolia suite!
