This Stampin' Up! Magnolia Mood card takes my breath away every time I go to the Online Exclusives
I used the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood stamp set bundle from the Online Exclusives to create a birthday card to share with you today. I made this card out on my Instagram account this morning…
Hi there stamping friends! Thanks for stopping here at my blog. Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project #450 | #GDP450 | Sketch Challenge. I love the simplicity of the sketch and how much 'creative licence' it gives you. You can keep your creation fairly simple or go all out with a sketch like this. I think I've gone somewhere in between. I've gone for a bit of a white on white card today with a little touch ogf neutrals. I do love a beautiful white card and I think the neutrals that I've paired with the white create a classic and classy look. I've used the beautiful and intricate magnolia dies from the Magnolia Mood bundle to create a faux embossed look. This is where the same coloured die cuts are layered on the same colour cardstock to create an 'embossed' look. It looks like it's embossed but it's not. I've used for the very first time the Silver Enamel Effects and I love the gorgeous shinny metaillic affect they give. Watch this space to see some more Enamel Effects. They are a cost efffective way to add 'embellishments' to any project. I've used the Country Woods DSP to add the banner element like as in the sketch and then I've finished the card off with some Baker's Twine, Black and Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and the embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment. I do hope that you've enjoyed my take on the GDP sketch and I hope you try the faux embossing technique, it really gives a beautiful look to any creation. Thanks so much for stopping by! Today I'm sharing quick & easy card that features the Online Exclusive Magnolia Mood Bundle. This gorgeous bundle allows you to create magnolias so beautiful you can almost smell them. But what makes this card really "bloom" is the Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper used to create the magnolia die cut! See tips below. How'd She DO That? Magnolia Mood Birthday card Stamps/Bundles: Magnolia Mood Bundle (includes dies) Paper: Basic White Thick (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) Basic Black (1/2" x 5-1/4" ) Bubble Bath (5/8" x 5-1/2") Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper...
Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a sketch challenge today and here is what I created for our hop... I was inspired by the challenge at The Paper Players PP680. Jaydee I love the colors you chose! I loved them so much I made a second card! More on that at the end! AND the second one is also for our team blog hop challenge! Let's take a closer look at how I used the colors, shall we? My card base is Basic White. I cut a 3 3/4" x 5" mat of Basic Black with a die from the Garden Meadow Die Set. Next I cut a piece of DSP from the Bright & Beautiful DSP 6" x 6" pack with the same die and adhered the arch panel into the open arch of the black. I used Light Lemon Lolly, Light Bubble Bath and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the flower center, petals and leaves on the Basic White Cardstock I had cut with a die from the Magnolia Mood Die Set. I also cut out some leaves from Granny Apple Green Cardstock using the same set. After I did a dry fit, I stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greeting Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. For the inside... another piece of DSP on which I stamped the sentiment from Go To Greetings. I colored the magnolia stamp with my Bubble Bath and Granny Apple Green Stamp N Write Markers and used the no-longer-available Stamparatus to stamp the image. Three Brushed Brass Butterflies finished the inside. So, like I said above, I created another card because I thought it really fit our team challenge. I had cut out another magnolia but took the leaves off and colored the veins with a Bubble Bath Stamp N Write Marker and shaded it with the Light Bubble Bath Blends. Instead of metal butterflies, I used the Paper Accent Butterflies. The DSP is the same only Lemon Lime Twist color. I used one of the Stitched Shape Dies to cut the Basic Black Circle. I also used the "hello" from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set and heat embossed it. I can't decide which one I like better. What do you think? Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Transformed with the Magnolia Mood bundle, this Makeover Monday card showcases a harmonious blend of petal pink and soft sea foam colors. The addition of carefully stamped images and a subtle touch of ink to the background creates a truly enchanting and elegant design, capturing the essence of beauty and tranquility. To produce the lone stamped image inside the card, color the stamp directly with Stampin' Write markers before pressing it onto the card stock. This method works wonderfully when the image demands two or more colors.2024 Cruise Kit PDF now available in my PDF Store here!!

Basic Beige with Magnolia Mood Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are focussing on a new Basic colour that was added to Stampin’Up!s colours in May, with the introduction of the new Annual Catalogue. From next week we will be working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a light sandy colour called Basic Beige. Basic Beige has been added to the Basics Colour Family and is a neutral that can coordinate with so many colours. Apart from a neutral background colour it would be wonderful for sand, wood and anything requiring a pale sandy colour. Basic Beige is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, ie A4; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); both Country Woods and Country Lace Designer Series Paper as well as Bordered Ribbon and the Ephemera Packs. Almost every day I walk past a magnificent magnolia tree. It has given me a real fondness for magnolia flowers and so I was delighted when the Magnolia Mood bundle was released as an On-Line Exclusive. I recently saw a beautiful photo of pinky magnolias with a beautiful blue sky and so was inspired to create this card. The frame was cut using another On-line Exclusive, the Radiating Stitches dies with Basic Beige card-stock.The inner layers were also cut with these dies. The background inside the frame is a panel from the Country Lace DSP and the central panel was cut from Basic White card-stock. It was coloured with a little Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush. The large magnolia image from the Magnolia Mood stamps was stamped in Basic Beige Classic ink. When it is first stamped it has a distinct green tinge, however, this disappears as the ink dries. The image was coloured with Stampin’ Blends, ie Pretty in Pink, Old Olive combos plus a little Crumb Cake - the Light Crumb Cake Blend is perfect for Basic Beige. Plus the Colour Lifter to soften highlights. A little Versamark ink was swiped over bits of the Basic Beige frame then White Emboss Powder was sprinkled over and it was melted with a Heat Tool. To carry the white through, some foliage was cut from Basic White card-stock using both the Magnolia Mood dies and the Thoughtful Wishes dies. Some Linen Twine was wrapped around the framed panel. A sentiment from the Magnolia Mood stamps was white heat embossed and fussy cut. A triple bow was tucked under the coloured magnolia. The final touch - a sprinkling of the gorgeous In Color Shimmer Gems. Inside the card, the magnolia was stamped onto a Basic White panel with Basic Beige ink and a thin strip of Basic Beige card-stock was adhered at the base. A C6 Basic White envelope was also stamped with the magnolia in Basic Beige ink. Thank you so much for dropping by on your way around the Basic Beige Colour Creations Blog Hop. The cards I have to share with you today are a sneak peek of some new up coming Online Exclusives. I have used the Magnolia Mood Bundle on both cards. I stamped the main image in Smoky Slate on Basic White card stock. I coloured the first image with Blends Markers in Bubble Bath, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and Daffodil Delight. I stamped one of the smaller images in Smoky Slate as a background piece. The Moody Mauve cardstock behind the image was cut with one of the Thoughtful Expressions Dies that was then embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. For the second card I coloured the magnolia with Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. Behind the magnolia on the card front I used a Blending Brush to add a faint shading of Mossy Meadow ink. The greeting I used is from another new Online Exclusive called Sweetly Scripted. It also has Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Happy Anniversary and a few others. The die cut pieces behind the main image are cut from other dies in the Magnolia Mood Dies. The Online Exclusives are available to customers from the 5th of March. Please contact me for more information or with any questions. Rachel.
