Welcome to another month with Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop! The Krew is celebrating Spring this month and I could not find a better set than Stampin' Up Hydrangea Haven Bundle. Of course like the rest of this week, I am using bundles that are part of Stampin' Up Savings Are In Bloom. I created the card front with a panel of Stampin' Up Sweet Talk DSP layered with a panel of Highland Heather card stock. I die cut a piece of Basic White with Stampin' Up Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I stamped the flower from Stampin' Up Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set with Pear Pizazz ink on a piece of Basic White. I stamped the coordinating leaves with Pear Pizazz ink. I die cut the flower with Stampin' Up Hydrangea Dies. I blended Highland Heather ink into the flower petal area. I die cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather card stock with Hydrangea Dies. I shaped each petal with my Stampin' Up Take A Pick Tool by rolling each petal in the center on a foam mat. I adhered each tiny flower to the flower top with liquid adhesive. I added Stampin' Up Basic Pearls to the center of several flowers to give more dimension. I stamped the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink. I adhered the Basic White Scalloped Edge die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink on a Basic White panel for the inside. I stamped the flower with Pear Pizazz and Gorgeous Grape ink. Thanks so much for hopping by today! Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog this last Friday of April. I am guest designing today with the Creative Creases Blog. This challenge is anything goes with a fun fold. I have a Mother's Day card to share with you all. I created an easel card with a treat box. It's a new fun fold design type for me and I really like how it turned out. I had this saved on Pinterest -here is a link. This one will go to my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day. She especially likes Hershey's kisses (who doesn't) so they will fill the treat box part of my card. Design Steps: I am using elements from the "Something For Everything" Paper Pumpkin kit from 2019. It's and older one for sure but it was sitting untouched in my craft room. My goal for 2023 is to get these kits finished. I took one of the card bases from the kit and cut off ½" on the solid part of the base. Then I scored at 2-3/4", 5-1/2" (is already scored), 6-1/2" and 7-1/2". If you're using other designer paper or card base, once you cut off the 1/2" your 2nd score line would be at 3 3/4". I used Scor-Tape on the striped end of the card base and then folded on all the score lines. The small tab gets taped to the inside to form a box shape. Easel Card Assembly: Stampin' Up Shaded Spruce cardstock measuring 10" x 2 1/4" and scored at 2 1/2" and 5". I used double sided tape and attached to the top of the box. Then a 2nd piece of shaded spruce cardstock (5" x 2 1/2") that will be for the image panel. I attached this to the easel panel with double sided tape to the bottom half of the panel only. Inside Drawer Box: Shaded Spruce cardstock measuring 9" x 6 1/8" and scored at 3/4" x 1 3/4" on all 4 sides. Then you are going to cut the shorter ends only to form tabs. Cut the first 2 squares off each corner. Then cut the 1st square in the 2nd row. On the 2nd square in the 2nd row you will cut at an angle to form tabs. Add Scor Tape to the panels as shown in this photo. Peel the backing from the tape on the short sides first and fold over each tab on the score lines towards the inside. Next remove the backing from the long sides and fold these over the angled tabs. The box will look like this photo when folded. Decorating the image panel: I cut a piece of white cardstock 4 7/8" x 2 1/4". This panel is decorated with floral images and enamel dots from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. This is the easel image standing up. I used a die from CottageCutz for the celebrate word. The sentiment is a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. This is a photo showing the box with the chocolate kisses inside. Whew! This was a long post but I hope I have given you an idea for a Mother's Day card and treat box. I am also entering: 1. Creative Knockouts has a Flower Power challenge. 2. Simon Says Stamp has an anything goes challenge. 3. Paper Funday is anything goes w/optional of flower power. 4. Shopping Our Stash has a fun fold challenge.

Sahara Sand with Waves of Inspiration and Artfully Layered Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are continuing to work though all the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a soft faun called Sahara Sand. Sahara Sand is part of the Neutrals Colour Family and is a lovely sandy colour. It is another versatile Stampin' Up! colour. As with most neutrals, this colour is delightful when used with so many colours. I have combined it with sea colours, White and Early Expresso and it also works well with Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and White. Sahara Sand is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Neutrals Designer Series Papers as well as the Tidings of Christmas DSP. The cards below have used Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' ink, Card-stock, a Stampin' Write Marker and Linen Twine (which is the same colour), plus a range of other non-PP bits and pieces. I have created 2 cards to showcase Sahara Sand in different ways. Here they are: As you can see, Sahara Sand is a great colour to use. CARD 1: This card features part of the Waves of Inspiration bundle which is an exciting early release from the coming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. A half piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper was water-coloured with a range of colours indicative of sand, sea and sky. The colours used included Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue Classic Stampin' inks, as well as a touch of White Craft ink to represent sea foam. This was die cut with a mid-sized Stitched Rectangle die and mounted on a slightly larger piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. The background was created with a piece of Basic White card-stock that was mounted on a slightly larger piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. A number of die cut waves cut out of Basic White card-stock with the coordinating Waves dies were adhered directly to the Basic White layer. Linen Twine was wrapped around this background layer and tied in a bow to the side. The pelican sitting on a wooden pole was stamped twice on Basic White card-stock with Sahara Sand ink and fussy cut. Seagulls were stamped directly on the water-colour panel. The clouds and shading pieces were cut from Basic White card-stock. The card front was finished with a sentiment from the same stamp set that was White heat embossed on Sahara Sand card-stock. Clear Polished Dots added a little shimmer, together with a little Wink of Stella. It is disappointing that the Wink of Stella shimmer isn't picked up by the camera. The Basic White card inner also was mounted on a piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. The white panel had been stamped with the pelican sitting on a pole. Similarly, a Basic White C6 Envelope was stamped with the pelican on a pole image in Sahara Sand ink. CARD 2: This second card features Sahara Sand with White and a touch of Early Expresso. I started with the aim of a clean and simple card but couldn't resist the addition of vellum and ribbon and twine. I had a Thick Basic White card base sitting on my desk - it's different dimensions than I normally use, but couldn't remember why I first prepared it so thought I would use it for this card. It will fit within a standard C6 envelope. The focal panel was cut from a piece of Sahara Sand card-stock with a mid-sized Stitched Rectangle die (though a smaller one than used in the card above). It was embossed with the splatters design from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. I love this set of EFs. Some White Craft ink splatters were added using a Water Painter. One of the leaf dies from the Tropical Layers dies cut 3 images of the same design from Basic White card-stock. The 3 pieces were adhered together to give the leaves some dimension. After it was adhered across the centre of the panel a piece of Linen Twine was wrapped around twice and tied in a bow to the side. A sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set was White heat embossed on Early Expresso card-stock, fussy cut and "Hey" was added with Mini Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped again in Early Expresso ink on Sahara Sand card-stock and "there" was fussy cut and added with Mini Dimensionals. A few Clear Round Dots were added for that touch of bling. Some Layering Designs Vellum was added to the card base (I felt it just needed something). A piece of White Frayed Ribbon was cut in half and frayed a little more before being added over the Vellum. The centre panel was popped in the centre with Dimensionals. The Basic White card inner had some stamping in Sahara Sand and a thin strip of Layering Designs Vellum was added near the bottom. Similarly, a Basic White C6 Envelope also had some Sahara Sand stamping added across the back flap. Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value the time you spent with me. If you live in Australia, don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of Stampin' Up's 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue or the coming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue; and or the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue Catalogue then let me know and I will be delighted to send them to you. Please don't hesitate to make contact with any other queries about these projects or Stampin' Up!. There is more Sahara Sand creativity. Hi everyone. Today's card is a reminder that there's still time to enter the current challenge at Time Out Challenges (#15 - Stamping with an optional twist of Apples). This is such a fun challenge ... I hope you'll join in. As you can see, I didn't use the optional twist, but I did stamp this beautiful daisy from STAMPlorations and colored it with Copics. I followed the idea of the cut out panel technique by Maile Belles, although I didn't follow her instructions completely. Instead, I stamped, colored and cut out my daisy image and attached to a card front with an "H" cut. It seemed easier and I love the way it looks, exposing the strip of pretty embossing in-behind. I added some gold stickles to the center of the flower for some sparkle and shine ... and stamped a simple sentiment to finish. Stamps: Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments (STAMPlorations), A Little Sentimental (Clearly Besotted) Paper: White (Neenah) Ink: Black (Memento); Black marker (SU!); Copics: Y21, YR24, YR07, R17, R27, R29, G43, YG67 Accessories & Tools: Musical Flourish Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), gold stickles

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “My Happiest Season”. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal. My favorite season is a close tie between summer and fall. I love the beach, swimming, flip flops, etc., but the fall is so pretty, especially in New England where I live. The leaves are just gorgeous!! So, I made one for each season. Then I showed my son two cards to choose from for fall (first two). He and I picked a different one, so I've posted both. Please let me know your favorite!! The first is on a Crumb Cake base, embossed with the Bark folder. I used my Blender Brushes with Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, and Bumblebee. Then I stamped the trees from Welcoming Woods (Holiday mini catalog). I mounted it on Rich Razzleberry, added a tag from Tailor Made Tags, and tied some Linen Thread on it. For this one, I started with a Mango Melody base, used Blending Brushes in Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, Bumblebee, and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is from Welcoming Woods and it was cut with Stitched So Sweetly dies. For my summer card, I chose Pale Papaya for the base and Flirty Flamingo for the panel. Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya were my blending colors, with a bit of Crumb Cake on the ground. This sentiment piece is from the Pierced Bloom Dies and I tucked a piece of Fine Art ribbon under it. If you zoom, you might see the Wink of Stella that is spattered over it. More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 8th. Our theme will be “Focus on the Sentiment” when our Design Team creates a project showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Until then, have fun in your craft space. Happy Blog Hop Day! Every month my friends from around the globe bring your projects centred around a common theme to delight and inspire! This month the theme is "Masculine Makes". PERFECT timing, as Craig's birthday is next week and I had nothing made ... although as I type this I realize I didn't actually use a birthday sentiment lol! Oh well. Good excuse to do more crafting!! Here is what I came up with ... I wish I could tell you the name of the "fold" ... alas, I can't find one! ... so I shall call it the "Box Card". Creative, eh? lol. Friends have told me it is a "Cube Card", a "Decorative Corner Card", other shave said it's a "Pillar Box Fold" ... so who knows! I call it pretty! hee hee I've seen these "cards" before but never made one. Not sure why! I stumbled across a VERY old swap in my stash and thought it would be perfect for our Masculine Makes. Quick and easy yet not to "floofy" for a guy! I used NEW products from the 2022 - 2023 Annual catalogue (it goes live in less than a week - May 3rd!!!). The products are part of the "He's The Man" suite. It has AWESOME Designer Paper (complete with TWO sheets of pre-printed die cuts), a stamp set and matching dies (He's All That Bundle) and Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots ... all for just $94 CDN! (plus tax and shipping). It is a MUST HAVE Suite of products for ALL your "Masculine Makes"! This "fold" is SO quick and easy! You start with your standard half sheet of card stock (Sahara Sand) at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". On the 8 1/2" side you score it every 2 1/8" ... so 2 1/8", 4 1/4 and 6 3/8". You also need a strip of Sahara Sand measuring 1" x 5 1/2", scored along the 1" side at 1/2". Fold and burnish on all score lines. Using liquid glue, glue the 1" strip inside the box, forming your sealed cube ... Then you just decorate! I used Early Espresso mats measuring 2" x 5 3/8" (you need 4 of them) I used the He's the Man DSP and cut 3 pieces measuring 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" ... and one Very Vanilla with the same measurements. I adhered all layers using Stampin' Seal. I added some "photo corners" from the new "Fabulous Frames" dies (available May 3rd) The decorations are made from one of the dies in the "He's All That" Bundle. The two circles were cut using the FABULOUS new "Stylish Shapes" dies. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and comes from the He's All That stamp set. To attach the circular sentiment piece to the card base you need to punch/die cut two 1" circles (or larger .. whatever you have that is smaller than your sentiment piece. You fold the circles in half and glue one half of each circle to the sides of your box ... here is one side. The other side is the same - just make sure you glue your half circle piece on either side of the fold. I hope that makes sense. Hopefully it makes sense. You want the sentiment to be secured to the box but to protrude when the box is open. So in the picture below, one of the 1" circles is glued to the left side of the centre fold and the second 1" circle is glued to the right hand side of the centre fold. The back of the card is where you will write your sentiment. ... and that's it! REALLY very easy and quick to pull together. I love this! Clean, simple and ready to give to your favourite fella! I normally post links for the products at the end of the post but since 90% of the products aren't available until May 3rd, I can't. The system I use doesn't have the items populated yet. If I get a chance I'll come back and update this post in May (after I'm back from vacation!) to make shopping easier for you. If you are in Canada, don't have a regular Demonstrator that you work with and need one of the new catalogues drop me a line and I'll get one out to you! You can subscribe to my newsletter over on the left hand side and message me via MailChimp. So there is my offering for "Masculine Makes". I hope you like it ... and give it a try! I'm a little obsessed with it! Thank you for popping in ... no hop along and see what my friends have to share ... and have a stampy day! Tamara

Hello stampers and happy Monday to you. Today I am sharing some Waves of the Ocean suite cards with you. I have been noticeably absent this past week, or at least I hope it was noticed! My oldest daughter and her family moved in with me temporarily until they get possession of their new house. I was in full mom and oma mode and it has been wonderful! Now it is a new week, March break is over, school has begun and so has their regular work routine. Let's take a look at my Waves of the Ocean cards.
