SPOILER ALERT/ SNEAK PEEK of New Product Now I'm not one for publishing new product too far ahead of a new catalogue launch, but this seems different and will be a one off. A while back, I was asked if I would be willing to do a Product Presentation at last weekend's OnStage Live event in Amsterdam, a secret that I've been hiding for a while. I felt so honoured and excited to have been invited, but none more so than when I saw the email of what products I'd be presenting. Goodness me I was a lucky girl. The Suite was just adorable and I couldn't wait for it to arrive to get playing. I studied the papers a while, I researched and got playing and discreetly transported out my creations, managing to keep the entire presentation a secret from my team until we were checking in our suitcases at the airport. I didn't want the girls to think me twitchy, if suddenly I needed to open my case to lessen it's weight or appear overly anxious if my case didn't arrive. On the day of my presentation, I met our lovely CEO, Sara Douglass, just moments before I went live. Eager to sit in on a Presentation, she chose to come and sit in on mine. I was both delighted and nervous all in one. Not just a presentation to our European market, many of whom I look up to, but to our very own VIP Sara Douglass. Thankfully I pulled my presentation off without fault. What a fabulous experience! I had just 10 minutes to present to nearly 200 experienced Demonstrators at a time. As if once wasn't enough, I had to repeat my presentation three times over, with my first presentation being to a Dutch market, fully translated. The Product Suite that I had to work with, was this nostalgic, retro style Birthday Memories suite. Oh my word, I nearly fell off my seat when I saw it. Those papers! That Stamp Set! Could I do it justice? Following my initial excitement, the panic set in. My style doesn't usually involve such bold colours, so how would I be true to myself and come up with something I felt happy to present? ... by presenting a Party in a Box ... Yes, generate a Party. This sheet of paper had to be used in it's entirety to showcase the beautiful scene, so the Party in a Box was a must. The gift box could be used afterwards, but initially housed a stack of Birthday Invites, Cupcake Toppers and Cupcake/Treat bags. I made the decision to couple the set up with the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set to create this Surprise Birthday Invitation. I thought this worked really well. The little flag banners attached to cocktail sticks made great cupcake toppers. I simply embellished a Petite Cafe food safe bag to house the treats or cupcake that the child would go home with. This project lead to something a little more my colour palate. As the colours toned down somewhat, I started to feel more in my comfort zone. Here I created a Box Frame Gift idea for a little boy. Perhaps for a 1st Birthday? I just loved the simplicity of this Box Frame and the Honeycomb Balloons and couldn't resist but couple it with a card that offered such fun. This suite offers Framelits to die cut many of the gorgeous images and characters in the Designer Series Papers, so I die cut the fox and fussy cut the Racoon and Turtle to produce this cute card. I just love the font of this Birthday sentiment. I was feeling happier now that I had started to produce something a little less vibrant, but felt I needed to cover the softer female palate. When I first saw the Pink Papers of this suite, I immediately thought of my Auntie's picture hanging on her wall. It was an Illustration by the Famous British Illustrator, Mabel Lucie Attwell. Researching her work and the era in which she worked, it became clear that large numbers on Birthday cards were very much the norm and that both bold colours, but equally soft muted colours were often seen. This lead me to designing this card ... which soon became my favourite. Isn't she cute?! Stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock, I then used the super soft Watercolour pencils to add a wash of colour around her and to colour in the balloons. The ribbon from the suite edged the sentiment panel to pull in the colour of the number balloon. Still wanting to produce something femininely pink and girlie, I moved on to designing these two cards. I used the floral bouquet to edge the white cardstock to add a kind of vintage look to the card. Finally the Make & Take that everyone had supplies to make, involved die cutting the fox and his banner, to create this great celebratory card. Can you tell that I absolutely love this suite now and I do believe you will do too. If you'd like to receive this bundle soon after it's release on 1st June, then be sure to get in contact with me and I'll happily help process your order. Well that's all the sneak peeks from me for a while, but I hope this has given you a taster of what amazing things are to come in the up coming catalogue ... but in the meantime, don't forget the fabulous deals that could be had from the Retirement List. It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. We have something different for the month of June, to celebrate the release of our new Annual Catalogue! Each week there will be a picture from the new catalogue, and we can be inspired by either the layout or the colours. This is our project for Week 1: How adorable is this cheeky little girl! She looks like she's jumped straight out of a storybook. I'm not sure if she's going to give away that cupcake, or eat it all herself! Here are a few tips for creating this card: There's barely any stamping on this card (just the sentiment). The rest is Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. This paper pack is full of cute images! The sentiment is from the co-ordinating stamp set, Birthday Delivery I love how perfectly the Stitched Shapes oval co-ordinates with the Layering Ovals scalloped oval My colour scheme is the classic combination of Night of Navy and Real Red I've done a bit of paper tole on my little girl, and given her lots of dimension: I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page! Email me to place your order, or click HERE to Shop Now
Hello stampers! You are a very lucky bunch indeed, because you get a fabulous sneak peek at a brand new suite from the upcoming 2017-2018 annual catalog. It is called Birthday Memories Suite and it is unlike anything Stampin'Up! has ever offered before. What makes it unique is that the framelits in the bundle also cut out the beautiful images from the paper. I can't share the pictures for the paper, the stamp set or the framelits yet, but I can show you the projects that I made! I just love the honeycomb embellishments that go with this
The Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper is my favourite paper stack in this year's Annual Catalogue. It is so bright and colourful and has all the cute little images that you can fussy cut or cut out using the matching Birthday Friends Framelits. This is Project No. 4 from the JDRF fundraiser day. The trumpet playing Racoon (I think he is a Racoon) was fussy cut as there is no matching die, but it is quite easy to do by leaving a little white edge when you cut around the image. He as adhered to the layered circles using dimensionals. The layered circles were made using the Layering Circle Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Real Red and Whisper White cardstock. The word 'Happy Birthday' from the Birthday Delivery stamp set is stamped in Black Archival Ink direct onto the yellow patterned DSP. Snip a flag end on each end of the dot patterned DSP. Scallop the edge of the striped patterned DSP using the scallop edge die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. The measurements to make the card are: Crumb Cake Card base - A4 cut in half lengthwise then folded in half Whisper White mat - 12cm x 9cm Yellow patterned DSP - 11.7cm x 8.7cm Striped pattered DSP - 4cm x 10.5cm Dot pattered DSP - 9.5cm x 2cm If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. Something Old, Something New ... Well I've a lot to share today that's new and most certainly exciting. A new website, a new logo and a lovely new product suite that I've used to create today's share. Be sure to take a look.
Tonight I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new 2017-2018 annual catalogue, which is available 1st June. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today by clicking HERE! You may have hopped over from the talented Rachel Palmieri's Page, but if you havent you can find your way around at the bottom of this post. Today I am using the Birthday Memories Suite in my cards from pages 68-69 of the new catalogue. For both my cards I have only used 1 piece of the DSP in total, which leaves me the rest to make heaps more. To say I love this suite is an understatement. LOL My first card is directed more towards boys as they are usually harder to make. I have done a paper toile type on the from of this card to give it a 3D effect. The inside, the party keeps going. My next card I had fun doing, I know we have seen many of these type cards but the DSP just screamed box card. And the back once all folded up. I used our new water colour pencils on the balloons a couple of presents and the cake and couldn't resist blinging it up with the Wink of Stella pen too. My Lucky Last is just one of the lovely figures from this stamp set. I have taken inspiration for this card off pinterest off the lovely Mel Pagano down the road from me. I love the antique colours. With a little bit of accessories and a bit of roughing up the paper and it was done. Showing the Wink of Stella Pen highlighting the Flowers, Hair and Socks I hope you enjoyed your stay here but there is so much to see. The next blog belongs to the lovely Kimberly, click on the pic below to get there. If you have any questions about my blog, Stampin'Up!, online or mail ordering or where can you get a catalogue don't hesitate to contact me. Until then Enjoy your time on our blog hop. The Birthday Memories designer series paper is on the October Buy 3, Get One Free designer series paper promotion, but you only have 2 more days! You can also use the paper to decorate your envelope flaps, too! These are all latch cards, meaning that the right hand side holds the card front down because it is slid under the popped up image! My card bases are 5.5" x 7.5" or 7.25", scored at 4.25" the long way. The inside layer is 4" x 5.25", with either a 1" or 1.25" x 5.25" strip of dsp. I love this paper...

Hello & welcome friends, The Thoughtful Journey Memories & More Card pack (#163318) is great for both Scrapbooking and cards. I have chosen 2 of the designs from the pack for this card. These also co-ordinate with the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (#163303) and the Thoughtful Wishes Bundle (#1633314). However I haven’t used the DSP and stamp set on this card. I matted the 2 pieces from the card pack with Night Of Navy card (#106577) and attached these to the Basic White base card (#159228). The Lost Lagoon card (#133686) and Crushed Curry card (#131288) were both backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), then cut with a die from the Thoughtful Wishes Dies (#163313). These were attached to the card. “Happy Birthday” from the Magnolia Mood stamp set (#163502) was stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#147110). The sentiment & the Night Of Navy card under the sentiment were cut with Unbounded Love dies (#163383). This was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The bird embellishments are from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds (#162743). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hi everyone, I have been having another little play making cards using the Hand-Penned Memories & More Card Pack, this is a continuation of the cards I posted in early July. The Memories & More Card Packs are perfect for memory keeping but they are also perfect for card making. This card is made from one of the 6" x 4" cards which I cut in half, used one half on my card and fussy cut the flower from the other piece. The sentiment is from the Art Gallery stamp set and die cut using the matching Floral Gallery Dies. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. Carolyn Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest Hand-Penned Memories & More Card Pack - Card 6

Hello and Welcome! Welcome to today's post! We have been having some dreary, rainy weather here in Austin lately and I am so ready for Spring to arrive for good! Our wildflowers are starting to bloom and I'm hoping they will really start to shine with our next good day of sunshine! Texas wildflowers are the best inspiration and I think it was one of my favorites times in Texas. While our wildflowers wait to come to life, I thought I would use a different variety flower for today's inspiration. I wanted to bring to life the beautiful tropical flowers from the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. And here is today's card... Today's card is a mix of products and I love when I can mix and match different products and suites. It goes to show how versatile all of these products can be with a little creativity. The Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper really steals the show here (in my humble opinion!). The brown background is the opposite side of the colorful floral sheet and both coordinate so well. A simple lawn chair die-cut from the Seasonal Layers set finishes off the "tropical oasis" vibe. Card Details Size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Paper: Night of Navy cardstock, Tropical Oasis DSP, Crumb Cake cardstock, Whisper White cardstock Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia Ink: Night of Navy Tools: Seasonal Layers die-cuts, Layering Circles die-cuts, Banner Punch Accessories: Metallic sequins, Magnolia Lane ribbon Today's card was inspired by the following challenges: Sunday Stamps SSC226: Get Sketchy Keep Austin Crafty! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Did you like today's post?! A few weeks ago I saw this idea from Cindy Brumbaugh (a Stampin' Up Demstrator). She called it "Stack, Cut and Shuffle". You take four sheets of designer paper and cut each one the same using the pattern I have shown below. Below you can see the four cards I made using papers from the Heart & Home designer series package. As I was adding the sentiments to the front, I forgot to turn a couple of them so they would be horizontal as I Cindy did with hers. It was a fun way to combine the papers and have four very quick cards. Thank you for coming by today!
