This book, designed as a companion volume to BAR S2844, Hill of Prosperity, Excavations at Khok Charoen, Thailand (2017), provides a complete, structured, fully illustrated catalogue of the more than 400 pots excavated at the prehistoric Khok Charoen site in Northern Thailand in the late 1960s, together with line drawings of more than 150 decorated individual sherds from the same site. All illustrations are to a common scale. The book is also designed not only to trace the development of pottery styles at the site over time, but also to allow comparison with ceramic finds from other such sites elsewhere in Southeast Asia.Compiled and edited by John Crocker.

Welcome to this months Ink & Share blog hop, this hop is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world, I'm Laura Mackie and I'm a demonstrator from the UK, this month our hop features Stamps & products from the Spring / Summer Occasions Catalogue... these products some maybe retiring but some maybe carrying over to the main annual Catalogue which goes live in June... I choose to use Southern Serenade... I fell in love with this stamp set straight away when I saw it.. I love the sentiments and their font.... but I just love those flowers, I knew I could colour them with my Stampin Blends, Watercolour pencils or like I have today with ink and a blender pen, isn't the lace-y background stunning?? here is my card.. I've used Berry Burst Cardstock and matching ink to colour in my flowers... I stamped everything on to my whisper white background then die cut the oval out... and then mounted the oval onto a scalloped oval... I coloured the flowers using the ink from the inside of my ink pad lid with a blender pen.. I wasn't too careful with my colouring, too build up the depth of colour, I coloured the area then left the area to dry and kept going back over it to add more colour until I had the colour I wanted.... this way my cardstock didn't pulp up from over working it too quick which happens a lot for me as I'm an impatient crafter!! The stems and leaves are coloured in the same way but with Old Olive ink.. Here's My Card: My card this week was inspired by my recent participation in a beautiful destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The wedding itself was fairy tale fantastic and the setting just couldn't have been any better. Everywhere you looked you were assailed with all the magnificent vibrant colours of nature. Reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, greens and blues all mashed together and bombarding the senses. The Bougainville were the true inspiration for this card. Here's my card - "Isn't It Lovely": Supplies: Stamp Sets: Floral Phrases #141767 Card Stock: Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Powder Pink*, Berry Burst*, and Fresh Fig* Ink: Fresh Fig Accessories: Big Shot, Paper Trimmer, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Lovely Words Thinlet Dies #143733, Seasonal Layers Thinlets #143751, Hearts Thinlet Dies, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tom Bow Glue. These Adirondack or Muskoka chairs (as they're known in Ontario) from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets set captured my heart the moment I laid eyes on them in the new Annual Catalogue. They smack of romance, relaxation and togetherness. How It's Made: 1. Card Base: Cut a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock and score at 4 1/4". 2. 1st Layer: 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock embossed with the Hexagon EF. 3. 2nd Layer: 3 3/4" x 4" piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock. Note: I removed the center of this layer with a 3 1/2" die from the Hearts Thinlet collection. 4. 3rd Layer: 3 1/2 x 4" Berry Burst card stock with the "lovely" thinlet from the Lovely Words Thinlets Dies centered and cut out. This was adhered to the 2nd layer with Tom Bow Adhesive, making sure the hearts were centered. The combined layers were adhered to the 1st layer with Dimensionals. 5. Finishing: Cut out the branch from Fresh Fig and the flowers from Powder Pink using the Seasonal Layers Thinlets and mount to the top of the card. Add Basic Rhinestones to the flower centers. Cut out a Powder Pink and a Fresh Fig chair and attach below the heart with Tom Bow glue and Dimensionals. 6. Inside: Floral Phrases is such a wonderful stamp set and the sentiment "May Your Love Grow Stronger, Deeper and More Beautiful with Every Passing Year" seemed so appropriate for this card. The inside panel of Whisper White measures 4" x 5 1/4". The sentiment and floral image from the same set are stamped in Fresh Fig ink. A 1/2" x 4" piece of Fresh Fig was adhered below the floral image leaving an 1/8" gap. I hope you've enjoyed today's card. Our Seashore Stampers group is participating in a 2016 Holiday Catalogue Card Swap! While we haven't quite swapped the cards yet, I think it's OK to show you the ones that I have made. When I receive the other group member cards, I will post them as well. For Day 1 I am sharing a card made using the Totally Trees stamp set made in some fun colours! Thank you for visiting my blog for a very special Mix It Up Monday. Night owls and folk from the across The Pond will observe that it’s still actually Sunday for one thing! But I couldn’t post something at 11pm on a Sunday and not use one of my colour combinations from my In Color charts because that would put me a week behind and I might not complete my year-long challenge! I’m taking part in a global blog hop to celebrate the We Love Our Hosts promotion – which means if your workshop total reaches £300 during June, you get an extra £30 in Stampin’ Rewards. Much in the way that the Mini is a “driver’s car”. If you want to make a quick card before you dash out to catch the last post, this isn’t the set for the job. But if you really enjoy stamping and have the time to play around for a while to create one scene, you’ll love it. I just kept stamping and stamping until I had enough for five projects… then quickly assembled them using very simple designs. I hope you like them! Hello! Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop. There are 20 of us from around the world so be sure to follow along to see everyone's projects. You should have just come from Holly's blog. Her projects with this new set are awesome! I am so excited to share some of the new products and new In Colors from the 2017 - 2018 Catalog. Here is a sneak peek of the Easter Palace Suite! It took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to do with this set. It's probably not something I would normally order but once I started playing with it, I realized there were a ton of cool things you could make with the stamps and dies. The options really are endless with this set! For my first card I used one of the Eastern Medallion thinlits dies as the focus. Now I thought this die was supposed to cut all the way through the paper and I thought I was having problems cutting it out because I was using the glimmer paper. Um nope, it's actually meant to pop out of the card like the picture below. BUT now you can see that you can cut it out as well and use it as the focal point. So 2 great uses for this die. Also, be sure to be gentle when pulling the dies off of the sheet as they are delicate and can bend easily. This is how the die is supposed to look with the edges cut out. To separate it, cut between each point to make a medallion. When you look at the close up, you can see that I used the Eastern Gold Vinyl stickers that will be available. There are many different stickers but I chose to use the strips. I then cut up one of the tassels from the Mini Tassels assortment and used the twine from that to layer in between the stickers. Then the bottom of the Fresh Fig cardstock was stamped with one of the images from the set in Fresh Fig ink. As usual I added sequins and dazzling details. I never thought I would use the dazzling details so much! HA! For my next card I used this really pretty gold paper from the Eastern Palace DSP. I layered it on Tranquil Tide card stock. This color is sooooo pretty. For the sentiment I used the new Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide inks to make the ombre effect. First I stamped it in Lemon Lime Twist, then I used the sponge dauber to add the Traquil Tide ink. How pretty! The medallion behind the sentiment is also from the new thinlits. There is a large circle thinlit to cut that fancy outside border, then I used a circle layering die to make it a circle shape. The finishing touches are sequins and a bow with the gold thread. My final card is based on the ombre effect I did on the last card. I loved how the Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide looked together so I wanted to watercolor with them. I stamped 2 of the circles from the stamp set on watercolor paper in versamark and embossed with clear powder. Then I used my aqua painter to watercolor the background with Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Tranquil Tide. I used my aqua painter and Tranquil Tide ink to get the splatters. So this time I cut a square out of black cardstock and used another of the thinlits to get the fun cut out look. See I told you the possibilities are endless with these dies and stamps!! The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder and I just die cut it with a circle layering die so I could pop it up on dimensionals. And more sequins were added!
