Hello & welcome to a new project share. Hands up who loves a sketch! This week's Just Add Ink challenge is a super simple sketch suggested by Narelle. I've used it to create a soft, pretty sympathy card for a dear friend using the Butterfly Brilliance bundle, which includes the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set, coordinating Brilliant Wings dies. Here's how it turned out. I swapped out the square and circle for two sizes of hexagons from the Beautiful Shapes die set, positioned and layered them according to the sketch. The card base is soft sea foam with a layer on top embossed with the Ornate Floral embossing folder. It adds lots of lovely detail without overwhelming the rest of the card, and soft sea foam is such a pretty pastel green. I don't think my photos capture this well. So hard to get the light right! Each of the gorgeous butterflies have 3 die cut layers - a butterfly image stamped in soft sea foam, vellum then the detailed die cut on top. They're only glued down the centre so the layers can pop. Iridescent rhinestones on the butterfly centres add lovely shine. Did you know that you get a 10% discount off the individual prices when you purchase both the stamps and dies together in the bundle? Always check for a bundle on our coordinated items! :) The Thinking of You sentiment on the front and coordinating sentiment inside are from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (& discounted bundle of same name). I really love having options for inside and out. Another hexagon and butterfly carry the theme inside. So that's my sketch challenge card. Hello & welcome to another share. Today I have my Just Add Ink challenge Design Team project. Nikki gave us a Choose Two challenge to include sunshine, a silhouette, or stars. I chose silhouette and sunshine - using a sunburst design. This challenge stumped me at first but once I thought about using a sunburst design (which can also be called a starburst - weird!) it came together quickly. I mixed and matched a sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set (& bundle) and dies from the Meadow dies set (& Quiet Meadow bundle) and Tailor Made Tags set. Here's the finished card. First we must talk about the sunburst. This is a pattern I've loved & used for years. I used a mix of Bumblebee (a 2020-22 In-Color) coloured patterned papers from the retired In-Color stack. The Bunblebee gives a lovely warmth to the sunshine theme. You could substitute the current papaer pack (which I've linked in my supply shopping list here). Find the sunburst template and tutorial I created and used here in these posts. It's a great way to mix and match paper scraps and you can create many layouts from the one design. For the silhouette element I cut 2 Meadow die flowers and popped black Dimensionals (yes, black Dimensionals (perfect for dark colour layering) between them to create some depth. I think you can see this it in the above photo. There's some repurposing happening on the card too: I re-cut the Tailor Made Tag to size it perfectly for the sentiment from Inspired Thoughts stamp set. I love the type used in this set and the sentiment is perfect for the recipient - a friend who I think does make a great difference with her work. Don't recognise the elegant black shimmer ribbon? I coloured the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon with a Dark Basic Black Stampin Blends marker - voila black ribbon! Inside I included a cut-off from my sunburst piece. Too fun to waste. While indulging myself with some free craft time after completing the cutting of next week's class kits, and completing a card for another challenge, I rolled with the flow and turned to Just Add Ink for further inspiration. When I looked at the image, I saw one of the new In-Colours, Pale Papaya, and ran with that along with a touch of Bumblebee. I've also included two of the other new In-Colours, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I reached for what is fast becoming a new go-to set for me: the Quiet Meadow bundle, which is available from 3 May. As the photo had strong vertical lines, I used a strip of Pale Papaya DSP along the edge. I used the 2021-23 In-Colour Stampin' Write markers, and Bumblebee from the 2020-22 collection, to colour the floral image from Quiet Meadow and stamped that. I added some extra tiny flowers in Bumblebee and Pale Papaya, as well as the script stamp, then some splatters in Soft Succulent. The other part of the bundle is the Meadow dies and they are the most amazing floral dies, rather like large silhouettes. I've cut two cornflowers and the fern foliage and sponged them in Bumblebee, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent and arranged them over the stamped imagery. The sentiment, and sentiment label, are also from the same bundle. To finish, I've added in three of the new In-Colour gems, these ones in Evening Evergreen. All of these products: DSP, stamps, dies and inks, and embellishments will be available from 3 May. Hello and welcome Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 3 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog. The colour for tonight is Basic Gray which is part of the Neutrals Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc.... I've used Basic Gray with Blushing Bride and Basic White for my handmade card. I just couldn't resist in using the koala stamp from the Count On Me Stamp Set, I used the fine Water Painter and Water Color Paper using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink. This was the base for my card and I went through my stash of DSP to use up scraps in the same shades of colours. I love to create lots of layers with the different types of papers/DSP here I've used strips of In Good Taste and Handed Penned 12" x 12" DSP plus Basic White Cardstock for the dies. It's a good way to use up those unwanted strips for your paper craft. The Forever Flourishing Dies was used adding Ink with the Blending Brush using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink to the images. I've layered two of the tags from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The largest using the Basic Gray sheet from In Good Taste DSP and a smaller one in Basic White Cardstock, adding Basic Gray Ink and embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I've added pink and white Snail Mail Baker's Twine to the tags. The two koalas look so cute sitting behind the pink sponged leaf die and I've adhered to the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Biggest Whish Stamp Set and heat set with Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. The card base and panel is in Basic Gray Cardstock.
