Well friends, it's day 2 of full reveals for the New Beginnings Collection from The Greetery! Thanks for all of your sweet comments on yesterday's post; I'm glad you are enjoying the new collection! I've got 3 more cards to share with you today, but I wanted to let you know that the official "meet and greet" for today's featured products can be found on The Greetery Blog. Also, leave a comment here and on each of the designers' blogs for a chance to win one of 2 $50 gift certificates to the shop! My first card for today using the AMAZING new BotaniCuts Morning Glory die set. It is such an easy set to use with fantastic results! I had so much fun creating these two different clusters. I die cut everything twice and then just followed the guide for assembly. I found two different varieties of Morning Glories and just colored them as closely as I could to make them look realistic. I set them aside to dry since I assembled them with liquid glue and foam squares. Since each cluster is quite large (large enough to nicely cover an A2 sized card), I decided to make a slimline card. I die cut a black panel using the Nordic Slimline Die and then added white acrylic paint splatter and let it dry. I cut and scored the card base and then added the die cut panel over the top using black foam squares. I layered the Morning Glory clusters over the top using additional foam squares. The sentiment, which was carefully chosen because of its use of the word morning, was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock. This particular sentiment is from the New Day Sentiments stamp set and then die cut using the coordinating New Day Sentiments die. I placed the sentiment in the middle using additional foam squares. I used a Wink of Stella pen on the leaves and blooms for some understated sparkle. My second card uses a lot of new favorites: Jumbo Curiosity: Nest, Jumbo Curiosity: Feathers, and the new Spring Meadow Background stamp, and another sentiment from the New Day Sentiments stamp set. I think this is one of my favorites in the Jumbo Curiosities collection; I love birds and nests so I can see myself reaching for this often. I love that the New Everyday stamp set has coordinating dies; it makes card designing a little bit more versatile. I used the Spring Meadows Background stamp as a background for the curio box. I used the Curio Cover Die to make the curio box and then colored it with Distress Oxide inks. I had a few extra flowers left over from my first card, which are from the BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix, and added them here and there. I used the Big Branches: Ruscus Die and die cut the large branch that the nest is resting on. A few gold hinges finish off this card. My third and final card for today, and for the release, uses the new Spring Meadows stencil/die set paired with the new Spring Meadows Background stamp. I chose to add the die cut flowers over the top of a few of the blossoms, but leave the rest stenciled for some variation. I never used the Rejoice! die yesterday, so I decided to use it with this floral design. That being said, the New Day Sentiment stamp set is designed to go with this set perfectly. I figured a few of the designers would show it with those beautiful sentiments, so I chose this one. This is such an easy-to-use stencil set you will be wanting to create bouquet after bouquet; I know I am! Don't forget to leave a comment here and on each of the designers' blogs for a chance to win one of the 2 gift certificates! Thanks for fluttering by! Angelica Laurie Dana Wanda Melissa Dawn
Hi friends! We are starting a countdown today to The Greetery’s newest collection. The new Handiwork Collection will be in the shop this Friday, July 28th, and we will be sharing reveals toda…
I'm so excited to be here today for day 1 of reveals for the Breath of Spring collection from The Greetery! I hope you love everything as much as I do! As always, you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the new products. Make sure to leave a comment here and on each designers' blogs for a chance to win one of 2 $50 gift certificates. My first project for today is a set of notecards and Stationery Box using the fabulous new Print Shop: Spring Mix stamp set and stencil set! If you've used any of the products in the Print Shop Collection, then you know how much fun they can be! The Print Shop: Spring Mix stamp set includes 4 different sentiments; Happy Birthday, For You, Hello, and Thanks. I couldn't decide which sentiment to use so I thought it would be perfect to create a set of notecards using each of the different sentiments. To begin, I stenciled and stamped 6 panels using the Spring Mix stencil set and stamps. This project only uses 5; one for each of the 4 note cards, and one for the outside of the box. That leaves one extra that I will be sharing on a project later this week. I made certain to be VERY careful while stenciling because I wanted to use the coordinating Spring Mix die. I knew that any misaligned portions could lead to sloppy panels. ha ha! I was thrilled that all 6 panels cut perfectly and my precision paid off! I love that the stencils from The Greetery have guide lines and are numbered so you can stencil the right steps in order. I also stamped quite a few of the stand-alone blooms so I could add them to the panels as I desired. Each panel is adhered to an A2 size card base with a bit of inkblending and splatter near the top. I also stamped the 4 different sentiments in the right corner using Weathervane ink. I created 4 coordinating envelopes using the Flappable Stencil Collection. To create the gingham flap, you simply flip the stencil over once you've created the first set of stripes to create the gingham. I'm positively smitten with this Lilac Grace gingham! The box is die cut from Lilac Grace cardstock and assembled using ScorTape. I used the Disc Magnets so the box will stay shut. Something I didn't realize the past few times I've used these is that there is either a positive or negative sticker on the adhesive backing of each magnet. You will want one of each so that they will close properly. Up next is the newest addition to the hourglass "time" collection. I couldn't decide between the bunny holding the bouquet of flowers or holding the umbrella, so I used both! ha ha! That little bunny is just the sweetest thing EVER, don't you think? I die cut the Hourglass from Soft Stone cardstock and then added some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink around the edges for some contrast. I die cut all of the pieces I would need to create the two cards and then had fun stamping to my heart's content! I opted out of the shaker card idea because I struggle with shaker cards! ha ha! That being said, with the Hourglass Insert die they really are very easy to do! There is a really cute new sequin-y glitter mix coming out as well that will look super cute inside one of these spring hourglasses. I'm sure a few of the other DT members will share a shaker or two! I absolutely adore the sentiments, which fit perfectly inside the banner that coordinates with this set. I had quite a few of the blooms left over from my Spring Mix project so I added one to each of the two hourglass cards. That concludes my projects for today, but don't forget to head back here tomorrow for day 2 of full reveals! There is so much more you're going to fall in love with! Don't forget to head to the other designers' blogs to see how they've used these new products! Make sure to leave a comment here and on every stop to be eligible to win one of 2 $50 gift certificates. Winners names will be drawn from the comments. Thanks for fluttering by! It’s Day 2 of product reveals for our Sweet & Sunny collection! So much summery color…
Handiwork Collection Hi friends! There is a New Release coming to The Greetery on Friday, July 28th!! The release is packed full of so many...
Happy Monday friends! I hope you're having a fabulous day! Things are down-right festive over here for day 1 of the Spring Fever Release at The Greetery! There are so many adorable new products to create projects for Spring and Easter! Of course there are so many that will work all year long as well! You can see all of the products up close and in detail on The Greetery Blog! Up first are these darling carrots in the BotaniCuts family! I am seriously in love, but I think I say that every time a new set of BotaniCuts is released! ha ha! The flowers are also from a new collection of BotaniCuts; Wildflower Mix! I've used them on EVERY project today so I think that tells you just how much I love them! And....the bow...can we talk about the bow? OBSESSED! This is from the new "Put a Bow On It" stamp/die set! It has so many different sentiments from birthday to Christmas, Easter to Just for You! The possibilities are endless! I couldn't resist using the Happy Easter sentiment to accent these spring carrots and flowers! I die cut everything out of white cardstock and then used ink and blender brushes to color all of the BotaniCuts and then used ink pads, of course, for the bow! I am especially obsessed with gingham prints for Spring so each of my cards today uses the Square Dance Stencil set to create the backgrounds. I added some ink splatter and dew drops for added interest to this simple Easter card! As you can see I switched the background to pink on this one and then added more of the pretty BotaniCuts Wildflowers. I added them around the perimeter using foam squares and liquid glue. The "Wishing you a lovely" portion of the sentiment is from the new PreText stamp/die set. I used two of the different dies to creat a banner to highlight the sentiment. The "Spring" word is from the new "Let's Have a Word: Spring" die. I die cut it three times from white cardstock and glued them together using liquid glue. I added some ink to the top using a blender brush. I added some extra details to the foliage and flowers using colored pencils. I added white Nuvo drops to the centers of some of the flowers for some added detail. The fun thing about the new BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix is that you can mix and match them in all kinds of different combinations to make your projects truly unique. I had fun putting the different stems together with their blooms. I had so much fun with the flowers and I can't wait to use them in all kinds of different ways! Next up is a fun suite of products called "Bunny Hop"! There is a stencil set, stamps, and dies! I used the stencils and dies for this card, but I used the stamps/dies on my last card for today! I added some flowers to the blue bunnies ears for a fun touch. You add the nose and eye details with a black pen. I used a fine point sharpie! The "With Love At" portion of the sentiment is from the PreText stamp set and is stamped directly to the gingham background using black ink. I used the "Let's Have a Word" Easter" die and created the same way I did the Spring word on the 2nd previous card. I added a few sequins for some sparkle and shine! My last card for today was 100 percent inspired by THIS home decor piece! I used the fabulous Boho Banner Die to create the banner. The sentiment is from the Bunny Hop stamp set as well as the stamped and die cut bunny! I created the gingham background (of course) and then used the Brick Layer Die to add the subtle brick look in the background. Of course I had to embellish the card with more flowers! I had a ball using all of these fun new products! Don't forget to stop by the other designers' blogs to see what visual delights they have to share! Thanks for fluttering by! Hello friends and welcome to day 1 of full reveals fo rhte Love Letters P.S. Collection from The Greetery! I'm absolutely smitten with this release and I hope you all love it as much as I do. I have three projects to share with you today, but first a few items of business; you can head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the new products. Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to the shop! My first card for today features the fabulous new Sent with Love product suite and the new Airmail Border stencil. I can't tell you how much fun I had putting these tiny envelopes and notes together! To begin, I took some time to work on all of the little floral clusters you see on this card, and peppered throughout other projects for this release. I used the Winter Medley Die to die cut all of the pieces out of white cardstock (three times each) and then used Distress Oxide inks and finger daubers to color them. I used my foam mat and fine-tip stylus to give them realistic shape. I also used a fine-tip Sharpie pen to add a dot of black to the centers of each flower for dimension and detail. Once I had all of my floral clusters and leaves, I die cut all of the pieces from the Sent With Love die collection; so many fun bits and bobs! I used gold cardstock for the scissors, stamp handle, sealing wax, and the nib of the fountain pen and lid detail. I used the cute Screw-top Mini Brads to put the scissors together. Because only one side is glued down, you can actually open and close the scissors, although I don't know if the recipient will know that! ha ha! One of my favorite details, besides the scissors, is the envelop liner you can add to the open envelope. I chose to die cut it from pattern paper to give it a bit more detail. That being said, the Sent With Love sentiment set has a stamped liner so you can stamp it if you choose. For the background, I used the Airmail Border Stencil, the previously released Spring Meadow Background Stamp and then a layer using the Postal Frames Die to layer all of the cute envelopes and notes on! I added glitter to the floral clusters and leaves for added detail! My second project for today is a box using the new Four Square Valentine Tags stamp set and die! This coordinates with the previously released Four Square Tags Die + Guide. To begin, I assembled the box, first die cutting the pieces using the Stationery Box Die. I also added a contrasting strip to the front using the Ribbon Maker: Scalloped Hearts die. Once that was done, I had fun making the tag. As you can see, I snuck in a few of the sweet details from the Sent With Love die set AND a few more floral clusters. The stamp image and post card image are from the new Postal Modern stamp and die set and you will be seeing A LOT more of that between today and tomorrow! ha ha! I love all of the different fonts and sentiments included in the new tag set! My third and final card for today uses the new Flourished Phrases Hello product suite. There is also a Flourished Phrases Love suite as well, and I'll be sharing another project tomorrow using that, but some of the other designers have used it today, so make sure to stop at their blogs as well! This suite of products works like the Plaid Tidings products that were released this past Christmas. I absolutely LOVE the results and can't wait to make all kinds of cards using the stencils and dies! I used the Airmail Border stencil again AND more elements from both the Postal Modern stamp set and the Sent With Love die set. I tucked a few floral clusters and leaves here and there for added detail! Of course a sprinkle of glitter was in order! Well, that finishes up day 1, but join me again tomorrow for day 2; you won't want to miss it! Head to the other designers' blogs to leave a comment to be eligible to win one of the two gift certificates! Angelica Dana Dawn Kelly (you are here) Laurie Melissa Wanda

Hello and welcome! I'm so happy to be here today sharing some spring projects using the beautiful new Spring Fling Collection from The Greetery! You can find the official "meet and greet" over on The Greetery Blog and there will be two $50 gift certificates given away each day so make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, to be eligible to win! My first card features the gorgeous new BotaniCuts Lilacs die. I love how easy this die set is to use and you can achieve beautiful results almost effortlessly. You can make your clusters as full as you want depending on your preferences! I really wanted the lilacs to take center stage so I used them as the focal point with a beautiful sentiment from the Scripted Sentiments stamp set that was included in the last release! I thought the fonts worked perfectly with the lilacs to achieve the look and feel I was going for! I used the Halfsies Oval Die to create the frame over the top of the stamped panel which uses the Spring Meadow Background Stamp. I layered it all together and then added the lilacs and sentiment. A sprinkling of glitter finishes off this first card! Up next is a springtime card using the ingenious and darling Seagrass Basket Die. You can actually weave the two basket pieces together like I did here, OR you can simply glue the two pieces together without weaving if you're short on time. I filled my basket with the darling flowers included in the Botanicuts Wildflower Mix Die. If you've been around awhile then you know how much I adore these cute flowers; I really can use them all the time if I put my mind to it! ha ha! The basket die also comes with this cute label; I stamped it with one of the many sentiments included in the new All Occasion Script Sentiments stamp set. This is one that you could leave on your desk permanently because you would need it so often....it's just that versatile and handy! The basket die also includes a handle which you can simply glue down, but I chose to add some mini silver brads for added detail. My final project for today uses the ever-so-sweet new stamp/die/stencil set called Spring Snowdrops! I'm smitten...it's so cute! I made two cards because I wanted to showcase the two main sentiments included in the set: Spring and Hope. As you can see, they both say Spring! LOL! I'm a huge dork and heat embossed two sentiments that coordinate with Spring! ha ha! I liked both of them so I just went with it! I can use the Hope sentiment soon! This suite of products is very easy to use and I can't wait to try other color combinations with the Snowdrops. As I mentioned before, there are two main sentiments. I really like that they both have coordinating dies so you can cut out the scripted sentiment. I heat embossed the companion sentiment in white detail embossing powder onto Pale Peony cardstock and then added it below the main sentiment. I added a generous sprinkling of glitter to give it a snowy or dewy look! Remember to leave a comment here and on each of the designers' blogs to be eligible for a chance to win one of the gift certificates to the shop! Thanks for fluttering by! P.S. Join me again tomorrow for day 2! Angelica Dana Dawn Kelly (you are here) Laurie Melissa Wanda

Hello and welcome, friends! I'm so excited to be here today sharing a few projects for day 1 of The Greetery Capturing Summer release! There will be two days of full reveals and then the release will be available for purchase on Wednesday, 14! I have fallen head-over-heels in love with the entire release and I know you will, too! Betsy always has a fabulous "Meet and Greet" over on The Greetery Blog where she introduces each new product with all of the details! Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to The Greetery's shop! Up first is the fabulous new "Sitting Pretty" dies! These are all just absolutely squeal worthy, don't you think? I had the best time creating all of these fun details to put together this fun porch scene! My card also includes the new Sunset Skies stamp set so you can create different sky scenes. I chose to use the base image (stamped to look like grass) and then the clouds. I didn't want to create a sunset, but I love that you can still use the images from the Sunset Skies set for multiple uses! I know I will be reaching for these images often to use to add details to my "scene" cards! The porch portion and the rocking chair are included in the Sitting Pretty die collection and then the rug, flowers, pots, and hanging plant are included in the Sitting Pretty Accessories die set! There's even a sleepy kitten included, but I didn't use it on my card. I'm sure some of the other designers used the cat, in fact, I'm betting Wanda added a cat FOR SURE! ha ha! To begin my card, I die cut everything out of white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide inks to color all of the pieces. This is my absolute favorite way to add color to dies, especially so I can add different shading to give everything a more realistic look. I eat my breakfast on my porch every morning, so I understand the necessity of a good porch! ha ha! I added a few trees that are from the Fir and Foliage No. 1 stamp set. They just added a little bit more detail and perspective to make this porch scene come to life! I hadn't really thought about a sentiment when I first set out to create this scene, but felt confident that I would be able to sneak one in somewhere! I just love the sweet and simple "thinking of you" tucked up in the corner! The sentiment is from the Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You stamp set and is die cut using the Sentiment Suite: Basics Die. Once I had it tucked up there, I thought how cute it would be to adorn the porch with a bunch of these in different colors for either the 4th of July or a birthday card! Can you imagine the pinwheels hanging down, too? Oh, the fun we will have with these dies! I'm sincerely hoping for a few grinning Jack-O-Lanterns and cornstalks for the columns come autumntime! My second card for today uses the new Jumbo Jar Die, the Fireflies Die, Firefly Nights stamp set, and Shining Light Die! The greenery up in the corner is from a fabulous new die called "Side of Greens" that I know I will be reaching for often! It will be a perfect base to add flowers to, and so much more! This card was really fun to plan and execute, but did take some thoughtful consideration as I put each piece in place. To begin, I die cut a large panel from Linen cardstock using the Crimped Slimline Die and then I added the layers of blue Distress Oxide ink to create an evening sky! I knew I wanted the jar to be in the lower right corner on an angle, so I purposely left that area a little lighter so that the rays of light could be stamped in a white area, if that makes sense! Once that was done, I added some white paint splatter to mimic stars or fireflies that are off in the distance! Now, in hindsight, I would have stamped the rays at this point, BEFORE I added the foliage and the sentiment, but I think it turned out okay anyway. I got to work on the jar and die cut it twice; once with the center portion cut out and once with the entire solid piece. The bottom portion of the rays were stamped on the solid piece with a touch of ink blending and then I layered the outline portion over the top that had already been blended. I colored the greenery using Distress Oxide inks and then added it to the upper right corner using liquid glue. The sentiment is stamped directly onto the panel with the exception of the "Light" portion which was die cut and stamped and added using foam squares. The best part of this card are the CUTE fireflies! I had a ball creating these little cuties using vellum for the wings and oxide inks on the bodies. I dipped the tail of each firefly into the new "Glow Powder" to let them light up in the dark! I kept thinking of Little John in Disney's animated Robin Hood when he says, "Glow little fireflies, glow!" It's the scene where he's pretending to be the fortune teller and needs to crystal ball to light up! ha ha! I did toy around with the idea of sprinkling the glow powder over the white paint splatters when I was first getting started, but opted not to. I think I may need to revisit that idea! I added fireflies here and there using foam squares; some are still in the jar, while others have flown the coop and escaped from the lid that is slightly ajar! The lid was die cut using silver specialty paper for a realistic look! I couldn't resist adding some glitter here and there for a bit of midsummer magic! Don't forget to head to the other designers' blogs to see how they've used today's products! Thanks for fluttering by! Welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for the Urban Jungle Collection from The Greetery! Thank you for all of your sweet comments on yesterday's post! I have three projects to share with you today using even more fabulous new products; make sure to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for all of today's featured products! Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each designers' blog, for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to the shop! My first card for today uses the ADORABLE new Modern Planters die set paired with the new Plant It: Spider and Plant It: Silver Dollar Succulent dies, the new Woven Cane Background, and last, but not least, the Way to Grow stamp set. I die cut everything but the background and sentiment from white cardstock and then added Distress Oxide ink to color them. The Modern Planter dies are so easy to assemble, but make the plant stand and pots look so real! There is a slit in the top of each pot so you can easily add the plants. If you want to use the pots without the stand, the die collection also comes with the coordinating saucer so they can sit on the "ground". I die cut the Woven Cane background from Weathervane cardstock and then glued it to he top of an A2 Weathervane card base. I die cut some arches using the previously released A2 Arches Die to create a "window" to ground the plants. I heat embossed the sentiment and added it over the top using foam squares. My second card for today reminds me a little bit of the Tiki Room at Disneyland, minus the birds)! ha ha! I'm absolutely in love with the new Wicker Stencil and think it really adds to the charm of the new Large Leaves; I used all three varieties: Monstera, Fern, and Palm dies. I used another one of the punn-y sentiments included in the Way to Grow stamp set, heat embossed in white onto a black strip of cardstock. I had fun pulling out the Jumbo Curiosity: Moth die to create another naturesque element for my card. My third and final card for today uses the beautiful new BotaniCuts: Hibiscus dies paired with a few of the Large Leaves and the new Wicker Stencil. I loved how it came out in three shades of blue! This card was all cut from white cardstock with the exception of the sentiment. The Hibiscus flowers are probably one of the easiest to assemble out of all of the BotaniCuts (in my opinion). I had fun inking them up and gluing them together! The sentiment, which is from the New Day Sentiments stamp set is heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then die cut using the coordinating New Day Sentiments dies. I added an arch to frame the flowers and then layered everything up onto the stenciled background. I added some black paint splatter, but I covered up the main floral cluster using a post-it note. I had SUCH a great time creating all of these projects for this release and I hope you love these new products as much as I do! It's been fun making paper flowers, pots, and plants because that's what I've been doing in real life in my yard....planting, potting, and more planting! ha ha! My yard takes quite a bit of work to get it whipped into shape for the summer, but it is totally worth it because I enjoy spending time outside! The new release will be available for purchase tomorrow morning at 10 am ET. Don't forget to leave a comment on the other designers' blogs for a chance to win one of the gift certificates! Urban Jungle Collection Welcome back to day tow of the new product introductions for The Greetery . Today we are continuing the release with...
Hi friends! It's day 1 of the Capturing Summer Reveals for The Greeterys latest release! I have 2 cards to share using a few of the new products. The new stamps and dies....you are going to love them! This first card showcases the new Sitting Pretty Die along with the Sitting Pretty Accessories. First, I grabbed the best little grass stamp from the Pot-Pourri Stamp Set to create a little grass border on the side of the deck. I did a little ink blending to create an evening sky. The white paint splatter works for a light starry sky. I die cut the porch and chair and all those fun little pieces, did some watercolors, made a stripped rug and bam....a fun little porch scene! I carried over the same grass and sky from the first card to make a coordinating background. I added in the sentient from Firefly Nights. I love this new set and all the sentiments included. I die cut several little lightening bugs and used gold cardstock to add some shine. I finished it off with a little red heart die cut for another pop of color. _____________________________________ INSPIRATION STOPS The Greetery Blog Laurie Willison - you are here! I'm so excited to be here today for day 1 of full reveals for the Handiwork Collection from The Greetery! It is SUCH fun collection and I hope you love it as much as I do. You can find the official "meet and greet" over on The Greetery Blog to introduce you to all of the fabulous new products! Make sure to leave a comment here and on the other designers' blogs for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates! My first card for today features the AMAZING new Hoopla Oval Dies, the Aida Cloth Texture Plate, the new Embroidered Blooms dies, and last, but not least, the new Stitched Sentiments. I'm also sneaking a peek at the new Embroidered Background stamp that will be featured tomorrow, but I just couldn't resist! To begin this card, I die cut the beautiful Emroidered Blooms quite a few times (you will see JUST how many over the next two days...ha ha!) and then colored them using Distress Oxide inks. I absolutely adore using multi-colored thread when I stitch, so I love how these leaves and blooms turned out! Once the flowers were done, I got to work on the hoop. There are two size of hoops included in the new Hoopla Oval dies; I chose to use the largest of the two for this card. I also die cut the Aida Cloth background onto a panel of Fine Linen cardstock and then cut it using the Hoopla Oval Inserts die. This is a fun companion set to be used with the Hoopla Oval dies, but could also be used on their own. I colored the hoop using Distress Oxide Inks and then I die cut the 'hardware' included in the Hoopla Oval die set using metallic cardstock for the silver pieces. I had fun arranging the flowers to make it look like a real stitched piece (and made me want to pull out a stitching project, if I'm being perfectly honest) . The sentiment was created by die cutting the Thanks portion using the new Stitched Sentiments die and then stamping it in black (I die cut it using the same cardstock as the Aida cloth portion for a seamless look) The 'sew much" was stamped onto the same cardstock and added to the bottom. There is an option for it to just say 'so much' for versatility. I just couldn't resist the punn-y sentiment! They're my favorite! I stamped the Embroidered Background using Distress Oxide ink onto an A2 card base and then added the hoop using foam squares. My second card also uses the Embroidered Blooms dies and the Aida Cloth Background die. This card was 100 % inspired by a new dress I bought for a Fiesta party I put on for the older kids at church! It is such a fun dress and I knew I could recreate it nicely with these beautiful dies. This card is a mini-slimline size and is just perfect to showcase all of these fun pieces included in the die set. I layered the largest of the blooms together with the smaller flower for a bold focal image. The cute 'lazy daisy' stitched pieces are so fun, too! The little french knot accents just slay me! I love making french knots on my stitched projects and these ones look so real! The sentiment is heat embossed in white and is from the New Day Sentiments Stamp set. I didn't use the 'Press n' Seal' technique for my cards, but it would definitely be helpful with these new dies. Since I was using my dress as I guide, I roughly laid it out and then got the main placement idea and then I just had fun. If you're wanting to be more precise, then I would definitely suggest the Press n' seal technique. It will also allow you to get all of your glue on precisely and not have any smears if you are careful. (wink) My final project for today uses THE cutest new Hoopla Mini dies, the FABULOUS new Stitched Scallops Notecard die AND the new Floral Sampler Stamp set. I created a set of 4 of these sweet little scalloped note cards just perfect for gift-giving or for your own stash. If you stopped by for the last release, these notecards fit perfectly into the burlap sacks I showed with my greenhouse card set. I didn't want to be a broken record so I didn't showcase them that way, but it would be perfect! I also toyed around with sewing up a cute little bag to put them in, so I'll share that if I end up doing that. I had so much fun stamping a BUNCH of the images from the Floral Sampler stamp/die set . I also prepared four of the different Hoopla Mini hoops to use as accents as well. The Stitched Sentiments also got to shine again on these cute notecards. You can see the entire set here. The Hoopla Mini dies come with lots of different shapes for verstatility. This little heart hoop is just the cutest thing, don't you think? I can't wait to use these cute scalloped note cards again...they are just so adorable! Thanks for fluttering by!
