There's nothing I love better than sitting down for a few quiet minutes to create a page or two in my Traveler's Notebook. And those pages don't always have to be a work of art or take hours to do. Let me show you a few ways that I used my April Pocket Life kit to create thre simple pages in my notebook... For this first page, I used the FOOD HAPPENS stamp set to create my own pattern on one page and then a small cluster of embellishments around my photo on the other. Adding one embellishment from the right onto the left page helps to tie the two pages together. For my second page, I went even simpler! That cloud paper was too beautiful not to use the whole sheet, so I simply added it into my book, making sure to cut down the middle to allow the notebook to bend. I printed a large photo to go with it and then added a single journal card with washi tape on both sides. This creates a flap where you can hide your journalling underneath. If you struggle to write straight like I do, add some lines first. I also added a tiny stamp to fill up the space at the bottom. For my last page, I backed my photo with a journaling card and added it, along with some lovely woodgrain paper, to the right hand side of my page. Then I used the half circle stamp from the DETOURS set to stamp half and full circle across my spread. Again, this ties the two sides of the page together. I added a couple of die cuts as my title along with some journalling and called it done! All of these pages took me less than an hour, which in my books, is an hour well spent. Do you have any tips for creating quick pages in your notebooks?
Happy Friday friends! Tara here on the blog with today's challenge - I do hope you join in. As always, don't forget to read through to the end to see how you can win some happy mail. **This post is picture heavy!!** For the month of November, I'm working in my traveler's notebook on a daily photo journal of thanks and gratitude. My friend Elise over at Feed Your Craft has been doing My Thankful 30 since 2013. I haven't done a project like this before, so I was super excited to join in the fun. The November Emerson PL kit was just perfect for this too! Here is what I came up with for prompt 6; I made it more about where my home is instead of the town or city I call home. I love that you can tweak the prompts or use different ones - whichever fits your heart and your gratitude best. I wanted to include a quote about home. To make the page a little more interesting, I added some white gesso and mixed water and the antique linen Tim Holtz distress ink to create some small paint splatters. I used past Citrus Twist Kits stamps to make a border on top and my favorite this month - the chipboard word pieces to add some depth and color. Here is the whole left page. I didn't want to waste any extra bits from the exclusive triangle puffy alphabet, so I took the triangle sliver from the "A" and used it as an embellishment. Here is a look at the right side: I made a cascading photo collage because I couldn't use just one photo. It was really simple - just add washi to both front and back sides and a little bit more to use as a guide to flip up! Here are the other photos and flip through of them in this layout: I created a hidden journaling card using some cardstock in my stash and added more patterned paper. Some of the washi I used was from my stash, included the ones from the October Waverly Scrapbook kit. Here are both pages again. I think that this sketch would work well for a double layout or pocket pages. The sky is the limit. Finally here is your sketch! Thank you for stopping by today! For your chance to win, create a project (layout/pocket pages/traveler's notebook pages/mini album, etc) based on this sketch. Post your project in our Gallery and/or Facebook Fan Page with the title PL11/18. Post your entries by Friday, November 25th, 2016. Have a lovely day! Xxo, Tara
Hi there! Nathalie with you today with this month's first 3-to-Inspire. I hope you all have visited the store to see what Trina has put together for this month's Life Crafted - LOVE STORIES - kit, Add on kit and stamps. I am always awed at the beautiful kits, and this month it does not disappoint. So to give you a taste of this month's kits, i created two projects following this week's prompts: Use a Repetitive Shape Use a Black and White picture Go Monochrome &/or Same color family Let me show you how i interpreted the prompts in my Life Crafted album using the Love Stories Kit and the Diamond Heart cut file (available for free to all subscribers) For this page, i decided to play with tones of pink to document a recurring moment in our lives with teens. First i picked one of the papers from the kit to serve as the background, and use another one of the papers to mat and layer the picture. This month's Love Stories kit is packed with embellishments, so i pulled a few hearts from the acetate shapes and the puffy sticker sheet to complement the die cut that forms my title. To add the journal of the picture, i used my typewriter on the tag that comes included in the kit. While i typed the story, i set my Cameo to cut the Diamond Heart cut file from the same paper that mats the picture and twice from pink cardstock. These were glued together to create the dimension on the die cut. To complete the repetitive prompt of the challenge, i pulled a few more hearts from the Love Stories kit to accent a few of the clusters in around the layout. How easy and fun is that layout, now let me show you a second project using the prompts, the Add-On kit, Love Stories kit, and the Add-on stamp. I wanted to create a Valentine's Day page that was masculine and not the usual pink or red, so i chose the cool tones of the papers of the Add-On kit to create this page. Love all the papers and embellishments in the kit! First i added a bit of Pinkfresh Studio watercolor to the background so that they match the colors of the papers. While the background dried, i backed the spaces of the Diamond Heart cut file with papers from the add on kit. These triangles were the inspiration for my repetitive shape, those small enamel triangles (Dear Lizzy's New Day collection ) came in handy to contimue my repetition of shapes. Since i wanted the background and picture to be highlighted, I chose to convert the picture of my husband and smiling baby dog to black and white. I used papers from the Add-on kit as well as ephemera pieces, cut apart elements (free printable page available for subscribers) and a few pieces from the Love Stories kit to frame the picture. Here is a video that will show you how this page came together: I love how these two projects turned out by following this week 3-to-Inspire prompts and this month's LOVE STORIES, Add-on Kits and Stamps... Now it is your turn to create a project inspired by these prompts. Remember to share your creations with us on our Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or on social media by tagging @citrustwistkits or #citrustwistkits. We love to see your works. If you have any questions, you can always contact me. Have a great weekend! XO

Hi there! Nathalie with you today bringing you a few ideas on how to put those 3x8 bookmarks (available in the Digital Files section of the CTK shop) to work with this month's Skyland kits. What can i say, I love adding variety to my Traveler's Notebooks, and having the option of creating hybrid entries for my journal is not only fun, but also a fast way to put a TN layout together. The 3x8 cards are designed to work on all your memory documenting. Since my prefered way of daily memory keeping is a TN, I want to show a quick video on how easy it is to work with the cards on Photoshop, so here we go: Isn't that easy? But don't be discouraged if you don't have access to Photoshop, you can still work with the digital cards by printing them and adding them to your projects. In fact, i have created 2 projects one with a hybrid option, and the next just using a print from the digital files. The first project features a card that was designed on Photoshop, as seen on the video. Once the page was printed, i trimmed a bit off the edges and framed it with the Heidi Swapp paper (it has a very soft rose design on it), and added a small floral ephemera piece at the bottom of the page. The same paper was used to back the picture, which was then mounted on the Pinkfresh Studio paper that matches the floral cluster element at the bottom of the hybrid page, all these papers are included in the Skyland Scrapbook kit. To complete the page, I added a few stamped sentiments using the Conversation Starter set and a few drops of gold ink. This entry took no time to put together! Now, this entry was created by printing the 3x8 bookmark cards without using Photoshop. First I added my journal on the card using a typewriter, and glued it to one side of the TN entry. The photo strip was then backed with the matching paper from this month's Skyland PL kit, and glued to the opposite side of the layout. Once again, since the card is holding the journal lines, and has a title built in, I chose to only add a few more embellishments. This month's cut apart element page (available for free at the Citrus Twist Kits shop) is amazing!, so i combined a few of the cut aparts with pieces from the Skyland PL kit. Once again i added a few stamped sentiments using the Conversation Starter stamp set (Check this stamp set out, it is amazing, and filled with so many possibilities!) to complete the page. Well that is for me for today! Do not forget to check all the new July kits, and while you are at the shop also add a few of the CTK digital files to your cart; these are great options to stretch your kits, and add variety to your memory keeping. Remember to share your projects using CTK products and digital files in our Facebook Fan page or in social media (please tag @citrustwist kits). I am looking forward to seeing what you create this month. XO

Hey friends! It's Marsha here today, and I'm excited to share a project I created in my Life Crafted Album. I used the gorgeous June Scrapbooking Add-On Kit to create this spread. Here's a look at the layout: I love documenting photos of my sweet little niece, and this photo of her is one of my favorites! To begin the layout, I trimmed a ledger paper from the kit to fit as a full page in the album. I added some layers behind the photo using several patterned papers and an ephemera die cut. I then embellished around the photo using puffy stickers, cardstock stickers, and an acetate piece. I typed my journaling and added it in strips below the photo. Next, I created another cluster at the bottom of the page using a floral piece, puffy sticker, and some cardstock stickers. To finish off the page, I added a bit of stamping using the Life Crafted Kit Stamp and the This Is Life "Yes" Stamp. For the other side of the spread, I trimmed a floral patterned paper from the kit to fit in a page protector. I love this paper and really wanted to use it as a background. I kept this side of the spread very simple, just creating a tag shape from the grid patterned paper and layering an ephemera piece and some puffy and cardstock stickers. To finish off the page, I added more stamping using the Life Crafted Kit Stamp. I hope I have inspired you to get some of your memories documented in your Life Crafted Album! The pages come together so quickly using this format! xo,
Hi CTK Friends! Amanda here, and boy oh boy have I been having tons of fun with my new Life Crafted Album! The new February Life Crafted Kit - Love Stories - is all kinds of awesomeness! From pretty pattern papers to the divine ephemera & even the acetate shapes, this kit has my heart! But enough chatter, let's take a lil looksee into my album..... Missed my first post with the opening "Getting Started" pages? You can check it out here. Here's the next installment... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted January Fresh Starts Kit & die cut ephemera from February Love Stories Kit. This month I have been able to really embrace how Life Crafted is going to work for me & my stories! You'll see that I have now divided my album into 3 key sections: A Beautiful Life - memory keeping & story telling, Give Yourself Time - dedicated to self care and personal growth, & Random Thoughts - fun, random bits n pieces from daily life, as well as a bit of creative play. It's kinda like 3 albums in one, which will grow & develop as the year unfolds. I used my January Fresh Starts Kit for this, and then continue to mix and match the two kits because the kits have been so beautifully curated that everything coordinates together perfectly! My album will be an eclectic mix of scrapbook pages, pocket pages, traveler's notebook spreads and all things in between! Ultimately, it will become a beautiful mini album that reflects me & my stories! Perfect! Here's a few pages from my A Beautiful Life section..... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit, Life Crafted Album - black. This IS my why! Such a treasured memory, & so beautifully documented. Love the soft color palette & the gold foil accents. On the left hand side of my album, I have a more traditional scrapbook style page with lots of pretty layers & embellishments. I trim the pattern paper to a 5" x 8" size, and hole punch the side so it fits into my ringed binder. To the right, I have created a more TN / pocket style page - doing things my way & loving how it looks! The stamps included in the Love Stories Kit are amazing! I use them subtly on both pages. CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit, January Life Crafted Fresh Starts 6" x 8" Pattern Paper. How awesome are these TN style pages?! Love This, indeed! Documenting the everyday moments never looked so good! Here's how it fits into my album... Yes, This!!! For these pages, I mostly used the February Love Stories Kit, but I also added in the powder blue pattern paper from the January Kit. The 3" x 4" cards were perfect for these fun photos of my husband, son & new puppy - just look at the facial expression on my son, hear the love, indeed! The die cut acetate shapes in this month's kit are such a fabulous edition too! CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit, black puffy alphas from the January Kit. Nawww! Another wonderful moment documented! So sweet! I have mixed up my memory keeping style again & I have to say, I am having so much fun! The 5" x 8" title page is a fave of mine, & I love the mix of the January black puffy alphabet stickers with the February ephemera & acetate shapes! Here's a close up of my TN style page... Isn't this darling?!! I loved the bold colors, but as most of my album will be soft & full of pastel pretties, I used plain white paper as my base. The white helps to balance the yellow & red, and adds a 'clean' look to the page. Best part, it looks gorgeous and I documented it in minutes! Life Crafted is fitting memory keeping into my busy life! LOVE! Next up, my Give Yourself Time feature.... For my opening page, I use a clear vellum overlay which I embellish with the you've totally got this ephemera & a puffy heart sticker from the Love Stories Kit. But it's what's underneath that has me.... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted January Fresh Starts Kit. Ga ga gorgeous! Nothing says self care like encouraging affirmations! That pattern paper is totally swoon worthy! Over the page, you'll see more from the February kits.... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit Each month the Life Crafted kits include an exclusive 3" x 8" book mark & this month's was perfect for my self care album! I embellished mine with die cut ephemera & acetate shapes as well as foiled chipboard & puffy sticker hearts! (All are from the Love Stories Kit). Peeking behind the book mark is a pocket page affirmation.... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit Sigh! SO pretty & so heartfelt! A little reminder to self kinda page! Tip: To keep the dimension of the die cut butterfly wings, I adhere the butterfly onto the outside of the pocket, not onto the paper. This prevents bulging, out of shape pockets and looks just as effective. Also in my 'me' section, I am trying to document more of lil' 'ole me.... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit. Nawww, puppy love & evening beach walks! My best Summer, right here! This makes my heart happy! As the month's progress, so will my stories & self care - but oddly enough, I have already created the closing page to this part of my album..... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit As soon as I saw the I AM ENOUGH label, I knew I wanted use it for the closing page of my Give Yourself Time album. I foam mount it onto a pretty pink label,& that divine floral paper. Pretty! I also add one last reminder to self...Breathe! Those gold puffy alphas are errrrrything! And last, but by no means least, here's a very quick peek into my Random Thoughts part of the album..... CTK Supplies: Life Crafted February Love Stories Kit How fun is this?! Bright, colorful & creative play! Love it! And there you have it! Life Crafted - my album, my stories, my way! Hey everyone! It's Alena with layout for Sunday Sketch. Here's a look at the sketch this week: Instead of creating a traditional 12x12 layout, I wanted to show you how easily these sketches can translate into a Life Crafted Album's pages. I just divided the layout exactly in the middle and shifted the right photo a little. I replaced one of the large rectangles with a machine line. These pages are quite simple and has lots of white space. Love how this turned out, the colors of the kit are perfect for the cute pictures of our boys. My absolute favorite of this Kit is Exclusive Acetate. Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own. Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media. I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.
Hey friends! This is Marsha, and I'm here today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted Album. I used the beautiful August Life Crafted "True Stories" Kit, the Scrapbooking Add-on Kit, the This is Life "Stories" Stamp, and the Traveler's Notebook Stamp. To begin the layout, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to fit as a full page in the album. I knew I wanted to use the vintage dictionary page, that was included in the Add-on kit, as a layer on the page. I trimmed it down, tore one of the edges for extra texture, and adhered it to the layout. I was careful not to add adhesive to the top edge so that I could include a tag with some hidden journaling. Then, I went through the kits and chose some ephemera, puffy stickers, and cut aparts to use on the layout. I arranged them in a grid- one of my favorite layout designs. I also fussy cut some florals from one of the patterned papers to use on both sides of the spread. To finish off the left side of the layout, I stamped a sentiment using the Traveler's Notebook Stamp and added a bit of ribbon to one of the tags. For the right side of the spread, I trimmed a patterned paper from the Add-on kit to fit as a full page in the album. I trimmed two more patterned papers and adhered them to the base page. There were so many gorgeous papers in the kits, I wanted to use them ALL! I added my photo and some of the fussy cut florals. I used the "Stories" stamp to add the title and did some simple embellishing with a label, puffy sticker, and ephemera ticket. I layered an acetate piece over a patterned paper and added them to the page using mini staples. I couldn't resist adding a couple more puffy heart stickers- these are always a kit favorite! Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have found some inspiration for using this month's kits! xo,
Happy November everyone! Michelle here with you this morning to share with you this week's installment of our Sunday Sketch Challenge! Starting us off this month is a gorgeous sketch with lots of space for photos and embellishing. I really liked this week's sketch. I have a big thing for my square punch (it's one of the few punches that survived the great purge of 2014) and I was super excited to get it out to play with! I had initially planned to include all three photos, but my love for patterned paper won out and I used the smaller two square photos for paper instead. Here's a look at my take on the sketch: I am really in love with the color combination that I was able to create using the November Main and Sprinkles Kit. Yellow is always a welcome addition to a kit. Now it's your turn! Make a project based off of this week's sketch, upload it to our gallery with the date of the challenge in the title, and you will be eligible to win a $5 gift certificate to the CTK Store! Looking forward to seeing what you create! Michelle
Hey friends, it's Laura Rahel Crosby here and today I'm sharing a gorgeous page I made for my Life Crafted album by CTK. To make this page, I'm using the March 2019 Life Crafted Citrus Twist Kit and there's an awesome process video for you to see how the page came together. This layout was sweet and easy. I wanted a neutral color background paper to go with the neutral colors in my photograph so I created my own. I used lots of phrases from the stamp sets this month and stamped them to make that gorgeous patterned background paper. I layered my photograph on some patterned paper from the kit and embellished using white thread and various ephemera and chipboard pieces from the Life Crafted Kit this month. My favorite part of this page (aside from the photo of my kitten of course,) is that adorable scalloped envelope and the tag I made to go inside which holds some journaling. I love the simple, neutral mood this page has- exactly what I was aiming for. I hope you enjoyed seeing this traveler's notebook layout I made! Make sure you follow me on Youtube to see all of my crafty projects and I'll catch you next time. :) Happy crafting friends, Laura
Hi there! Nathalie with you today! By now you all have seen this month's "MAKE IT A VENTI" Life Crafted kit. I think we are all in awe at what Trina is putting together for the kits each month, truly gorgeous patterns, colors and ideas that make putting together a layout super easy and fast. It all started with one of this month's exclusive cut files. I used the small screen version of it to cut two of them with the same dimension but as mirror images of each other,so that i can sandwich patterned paper in between both sides of the page. For the first layout, i used the heart screen as the background for my picture. Since i was backing the cut file, i chose to print the Digital TN papers so that i can have the same pattern for both sides of the page -having the option to print my own papers on demand helps to stretch the kits and personalize them, so check out the digital files available in the store-. The picture of both my Goddaughters was backed with the one of the Make It a Venti kit's papers and set on the heart background. I added a few of the cut apart elements to the picture to create a cluster, and then brought a few stickers from last month's Life Chapters kit to add sentiments to each cluster. I added my lines of journal at the bottom of this page. To complement this page, i used the b side of a previous 3x8 insert to add a few of the kit's PL cards and house my title in one of them. For this, i printed the flower frame PL card and fussy cut the floral image. This was then glued to the top of the card, the empty space left was the perfect spot to add my title using the mini rose gold alpha stickers from the kit. The bottom card was used as a filler card, but was the perfect complement on color and sentiment for my layout. Remember i mentioned that i cut two mirror image cut outs of the heart screen, and sandwich patterned paper in between them; well here is the b-side of the layout. This time i went for a simpler approach in this page. This time, I am using the cut out as a complement to my picture and not the background. So, i decided to add my title to this page using a combination of the ephemera and Puffy Alpha stickers from the Make It a Venti kit. The word sticker and chipboard heart are pieces from past kits that complement this page. I used one of the TN digital papers as the background for my picture. This time, a paper from the kit was used as a layer behind the picture, To repeat the colors in the title, labels and stickers from the cut apart sheet and previous kits were used. I cut one of this month's PL cards to create my journaling spot and sentiment under the picture, and then finished this spread by adding a few stamped sentiments using one of the add-on stamp sets. The following video will show you how it all came together: The new "Make It A Venti" Life Crafted kit is sure to be one of my most favorites to date. Plus having the option of printing my own papers and PL cards on demand make it so much more lasting, so check out these option son the digital CTK shop. Remember that you can always contact me with any questions on how this was put together. I cannot wait to see what you all create. XO
Hey, crafty friends! I am so happy to be joining you for today's Sunday Sketch Challenge. Let's take a look at this week's lovely sketch. I was excited to take on this sketch. I decided to do a 12x12 layout with a photo of our first trip to South Carolina in over a year. For this layout, I used July Citrus Twist exclusives as well as shop extras. I started with white cardstock back with a patterned paper. For my large cluster, I used the Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms 6x6 papers to back my photo. To accentuate my cluster and add interest, I layered in the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms florals. I topped off the cluster with ephemera bits from the Endless Sunshine ephemera pack, including the big cute bear and "nature lover" die-cut. I also layered in puffy phrase stickers from the Citrus Twist Lazy Days Puffy Stickers. I used more of the lovely Endless Sunshine Citrus Twist exclusive ephemera to make two mini-clusters at the top and bottom left of my page. Next, I sprinkled in the pretty pastel Citrus Twist Floral Enamel Dots all over my page. I completed my layout with the "Real Sweet" title using the gorgeous Citrus Twist Puffy Phrase and Icon Stickers and a few pink and blue splatters. I hope you enjoyed today's challenge. This layout came together so quickly with this fun sketch and all of the lovely July releases from the shop. I hope you give it a try.
Hi dear CTK friends! It's Anna here today sharing this week's 3 to Inspire. One of my favorite challenges for sure. Here's my three promts for us to play around with. 1. Use a black & white photo 2. Use PL card(s) 3. Use stitches And here's what I came up with using the CTK April Life Crafted "Make it a Venti" kit. Let's start with my first promt, a black &white photo. I love this photo of my son and I and his hand in my hand. I just want to freeze these precious moments and keep them forever close to my heart. My second promt was PL-card(s) and I immediately knew which one to use for this page and it was that pink card that decided my color scheme for my project. For sure you can use pink and blossoms for a boy page if you ask me. My third and last promt, of course, stitches!! I hardly can leave any of my layouts without some stitching, lol! Also, don't you just love those flowers on this gorgeous cut file from our Subscribers exclusives. It's designed by the super talented Nathalie. Now it's your turn to make your own take of this fun challenge. I hope you will enjoy playing along as much as I did! Be sure to share your creations with us on the CTK Fan Page or/ and on Instagram #citrustwistkits. We can't wait to see what magic you will create. Until next time! Anna xo

Hey there! It's Kira and I am back with another Sunday Sketch! I am using the February Life Crafted Kit and working in my Life Crafted album. Here's a look at the sketch I am using today: And here's a look at my completed layout: I have been starting every layout in this album with journaling, some of my journaling is a story I am telling to Folsom (my dog who passed away, and who the album is focused on), but a lot of my journaling is a letter to someone whom the story relates to. In this layout, it is a letter to Hobbs, my dog that was a few years older than Folsom, who died a few years back. I typed out the letter on white cardstock and cut down to 4.25x8.25. Then on the reverse page, I stuck fairly close to the sketch. I had one photo of Folsom, sized at 3.5x3.5. I used some patterened paper from the LC kit, and placed my photo tilted on the paper. Instead of a label, I used the die cut bird as my embellishment. I used some more patterned paper as the bordered strips on the layout. And I used some machine stitching to add some texture. I also brought some of the strips of paper to the journaling page, since I had about an 1" of white space at the bottom of the page. I wanted to include a photo of Hobbs dog to the layout, so I printed out a photo that would fit in the die cut frame. Then I adhered that on top of a journaling card that I punched to fit in the LC album . Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you use this week's sketch! xo, Kira

Hi and Happy Friday! It's Tara here sharing my take on Pocket Life sketches. I decided to go with the 6x8 album size for my Project Life this year, which allows me to incorporate mini layouts and pocket pages. This is my first year to do Project Life and I thought this would be a great way for me to finish the year off in a manageable size. For these layouts I used the June PL kit, Splish Splash add on kit, and Sprinkles kit found here. Read below for details on our weekly giveaway associated with today's sketches! Here are your sketches starting with the 6x8 mini layout: Next are two 3x4 sketches for your pocket pages: Finally, here is a 4x6 card: Here is my 6x8 mini layout documenting our last summer camping trip of 2014 in New Mexico. I added my own DIY enamel dots made from perler beads. Here is my pocket life page that goes right beside my mini layout in my album: And here are a few close ups. I added some alphas from my stash for my title. The labels are always perfect for touches throughout a layout! I wanted to add some hand stitching to give this layout more dimension and something to pop with the patterned paper edge. All the small pops of color from the Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss paper pads are perfect for summer! I can't get enough of the Evalicious puffy stickers and Crate Paper Poolside ephemera pack either! So many ways to use them to add a little something to your spreads. I love stamps and always try to find a way to add in some stamping - I just inked up "FUN" from the stamp phrase "DO FUN STUFF" to add a bit more on the corner of some ephemera. I am loving the gold alphas from the Sprinkles kit and the teeny heart wood veneers from the Splish Splash add on kit. Don't forget to post your PL layouts in the gallery using today's sketches for a chance to win some happy mail! Label your sketch PL 6/12 in the gallery and post by Friday, June 19th. The winner will be announced here on the blog later this month. Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend! Xxo, Tara
Hi everyone! It's Sheree here to share today's Sunday Sketch with you all! This sketch is an 8.5 x 11 inch sketch but it could easily be adapted to 12 x 12 inches if you prefer that size. Let's take a look... Here's what I came up... I used papers and embellishments from the May 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on Kit along with the digital version of one of the TN papers from the May 2020 Journeys Kit. I started with a white cardstock background, then added a floral strip across the bottom of the page and a strip of the labels paper across the top before adding some stitching. I used a punch to add a notebook paper look to the edge of the digital TN paper then layered it with two other patterned papers underneath the photo. At the bottom of the photo I used one of the acrylic speech bubbles as the title, then added the phrase and ladybird stickers. I also used my sewing machine to stitch a little trail behind the ladybird. To the left of the photo I added a label from the labels paper which I stamped with the date, then added the journaling strips underneath. Stitching was added across the page above the photo and along each of the journaling strips too. I finished off by adding another ladybird sticker and some messy thread to the left of the date label. Sketches really do make it so quick and easy to pull a layout together! You can see my process in the video below... I hope you'll give this sketch a try too! Thanks for joining me on the blog today...enjoy the rests of your weekend! Sheree x
Hello there! We are so lucky to have Nancy Damiano as our June 2021 Guest Designer, and she is with us today with one last project.... Hi there, Nancy here with my last guest post. This one was created in my Sunshine Life Crafted album using the cardstock stickers and ephemera from the June release. This one is a story about hope and a message I ran across written in the sand. The enlarged photo featured a large open space courtesy of blue skies! I filled this space with my title with CT White Puffy Alphabet stickers and a label sticker from the June release. It was all I needed to decorate the page. I created a bookmark of sorts by using vellum to create a spot for my story. This allows for a larger space for journaling while maintaining a sheer overlay of the right side of the spread which includes a page full of embellishments. On the right I created a collage with two additional photos and ephemera from the June release. A simple grid and a bit more story keep the design clean and fresh. My pages really came together quickly with the June release. The beautiful colors and designs make creating a snap! We just love Nancy's simple but detailed style, and it is reflected in this gorgeous spread. WE are so happy to be able to share some of Nancy's magic with you all. Remember to check more of her work on Instagram. Thank you so much Nancy for sharing some of your stories with us this month. WE have loved having you as a guest! XO
Hey everyone! It's Alena with layout for Sunday Sketch. Here's a look at the sketch this week: Instead of creating a traditional 12x12 layout, I used this sketch for the pages of my LC album. These pages are quite simple and has lots of white space. For the basis of the pages, I took a white cardstock. Then I layered strips of patterned paper, on which I placed embellishments. I created the title using my favorite NARROWS ALPHABET stamps. I added accents with mini stamps and enamel dots. Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own. Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media. I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.
Hey there! It's Kira and I am back with another layout in my Life Crafted album. I am slowly working my way through my Harry Potter vacation album, and my monthly Life Crafted kit has made it so much easier to get all of my stories in! Today's spread is a two pocket, double page layout documenting one of the restaurants we ate at in Orlando. I also included the 3"x 8" bookmark, which is what ultimately inspired this layout. I added some journaling on the "Good Eats" side of the bookmark about the restaurant we ate at, and checked off "dinner" and "dessert". Then on the reverse side, I covered the "Girls just want to have sun" part with a piece of grid paper and add journaling about what we ordered. In the left pocket pages I added two journaling cards from the LC kit. The upper card has a photo of the restaurant layered with a puffy sticker. The lower card has the date, location, a photo of me and another puffy sticker. In the left pocket pages I added a journaling card with a photo of my husband and myself outside the restaurant. I layered a label and a puffy sticker on top. The lower card is a piece of patterned paper from the LC kit, a photo of my milkshake and a die cut and chipboard sticker layered on top. Thanks for stopping by! Kira
Hey friends! Marsha here with this week's Sunday Sketch challenge. Today's sketch is so fun, and I hope you will be inspired to play along! Here's a look at the sketch: Here's my take on the sketch: For my layout today, I chose to use the beautiful October Life Crafted "At My Table" Kit and the This Is Life Food Stories Stamp. This kit and stamp set are perfect for any type of food-related documenting! To begin my page, I decided to rotate the sketch so it would work better in my Life Crafted album. I printed one of the traveler's notebook digital papers and trimmed it so I could use it on both sides of the spread. Like the sketch, I decided to use two photos. I trimmed a patterned paper from the Life Crafted kit and layered my photos on top, tearing a section of the paper at the bottom. I love the texture this adds to the page. Next, I fussy cut the floral piece from one of the journaling cards. I thought it worked perfectly between my two photos. I stamped a sentiment from the This Is Life Food Stories Stamp and added it over the wording on the card. I thought it worked better with my layout. Next, I used some of the digital cut aparts, that are available for this month, to embellish the page. They are such a nice addition to the kit and are free for kit subscribers! I added some stamping to the labels and added a few of the puffy and chipboard heart stickers from the kit to finish off the page. For the other side of the layout, I trimmed a few of the patterned papers into strips and adhered them to the page, also tearing one of the strips. Next, I added some machine stitching along the edges of the paper. I love the interest and texture this adds! For the title, I used some of the mint tiny alphabet stickers and a metallic puffy phrase sticker. To embellish the page, I added some labels and a puffy scallop sticker. I just LOVE the metallic puffy stickers in the kit this month! I typed my journaling, trimmed it into strips, and adhered it to the page. My layout came together so quickly using this awesome sketch! Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will play along with this sketch challenge and share your project with us on the CTK Fan Facebook Page!
Hi friends! Marina here! Today I show you my first Sunday Sketch inspiration for you! Let's take a look at sketch: I used i in mirror image: And I made a little title page for my yearly album 6x8: I used paper from the Handcrafted digitals and mix of few older ephemera: Fresh Starts, Falling Leaves, The Best Parts, as well as cool alphabet puffy stickers Sunshine and Bubblegum Pink.Small bright dots Flea Market Findings complete the picture:
Elizabeth here today to share my latest PL sketch with you. I apologize for the quality of this.. I actually do "sketch" my sketches when creating, so this is pretty true to me! This month I wanted to challenge you to use several smaller photos on your spread. I love the trick of continuing the photos across the span of pockets. Such a unique look and way to include lots of photos for those busier weeks. and here is the sketch translated into actual scrapping.. here is the page's counterpart... and the entire spread.. You've probably noticed by now that I am a big fan of the small photos! Thanks for stopping by today. I can't wait to see what you all make using my very sketchy sketch. Aren't these July kits just to die for?!
Hello Lovely CTK Friends! The seasons are changing and the holidays are upon us. One thing that I love about the Citrus Twist Life Crafted kits is although they change, there is always a consistency with them. There's a perfect touch of the season/theme. Even though the colors and embellishments change, they not only work well with everyday life or a theme but also work really well with other Life Crafted kits. They just flow. I love that! My 2019 Life Crafted album has some holes or empty spots I needed to fill in, and the November Gratitude Kit amazed me how well it worked! This first empty spot, had a blank 5x8.25 page on the left and two 3x4 pockets on the right. I loved that beige or tan pattern paper from the kit with writing all over it. I decided to break it up to make it look like a collage on my page, so with a pencil, I traced lines diagonally to create a diamond pattern, then stitched with black thread over the lines. Next, I trimmed it to use just parts of the pattern paper to build my background. I used a larger diamond shape to trace cut out my photo to be the focal. Then I used the transparent die cuts from the kit to use the Gratitude stamp set that comes with the kit using StazOn ink. Adhered those as well as the leaves under and over my design. Then I filled in with the other embellishments from the kit. For the 2-3x4 pockets on the right, I used a card from the kit and stitched a rectangle in black thread. I did this for two reasons...to repeat the stitching on the left and to create an area to type my journaling. I then filled in with embellishments. You can see my previous CTK project under this, and this is what I love about the flow of these Life Crafted kits...it just works so well with other LC kits. For the bottom 3x4 pocket, I trimmed the 3x8 card that comes in the kit to use just that part I wanted. It went perfectly with my project. I just added a date stamp. I had leftovers of the stitched pattern paper and it inspired me to use it on another spread, again filling in those gaps or empty spots in my album. This spread uses the backside of Protector #3. That previous page, I had accidentally used the pocket upside down, but it worked! And it still worked for this spread! I trimmed a 4x6 card to add my journaling for the top pocket, then filled the bottom pocket with pattern paper trimmed down, and just added embellishments to frame my photo. This spread uses all of the Life Crafted kit with the addition of the new Grateful For and Life Crafted stamp set. Those florals!! I used them to frame my pattern paper. I used the "hello" sentiment from the Life Crafted stamp to stamp right across the layers of my background and pattern paper, then finished my title with embellishments from the kit. That empty diamond spot was also a perfect spot for the kit diecuts! Before I did my stamping, I did add a strip of the same pattern paper from the left to the edge of this page. I added a small photo under this with some embellishments to finish it. This last empty spot to fill, was an awkward size, and you could really see the previous CTK Life Crafted pages. This time I added pattern papers from the Gratitude kit to work with the pattern papers from the previous kit/project. I layered a strip of pattern paper over the older pattern paper on the left, placed my photo just enough to see where to add stamping from the Grateful For stamp set in inks to complement the pattern papers. Then I typed my journaling on the 4x6 card with labels, trimmed and foamed adhered, adding a puffy embellishment to each one. I added more embellishments that worked perfectly with my project. That triangle pattern paper also set the design I wanted to repeat throughout this spread. Using that triangle puffy sticker creates the repeating pattern, as well as the Triangular You Cut File available this month that I use here on the right. I used the negative leftover cardstock from this cut file to blend blue ink onto my background, then adhered the cut file, trimmed, and adhered again and trimmed to cover the page. Instead of using pattern paper to back the triangles, I created a paint pattern on white cardstock, let dry, then punched three different triangles out, to foam adhere on top of this design. Finished it with the chipboard embellishments and some black paint drops. Loved being able to go back through my album and fill in stories using the Life Crafted Gratitude kit! The first project uses just the kit and stamp, the second project uses the kit + Grateful For Stamp + Life Crafted Stamp, and the third project uses the kit + Grateful For Stamp + Triangular You Cut File. Regardless of using just the kit or not, the kits are so well put together that they all just flow so well together. Hope you enjoy reveal and are able to pick up this kit and few other items! Happy creating!!
I’m excited to join you all again this month as Guest Designer for Citrus Twist Kits! The Life Crafted™ kits are literally giving me LIFE and just the ticket to capturing the everyday life! As a Hybrid Artist, I’m truly loving the digitals that coordinate with the kit and how they design up perfectly to use with the embellishments already in the kit. I’m visiting with you all again this month to share more inspiration with the April digitals. On a side note, the Citrus Twist Kits Puffy Stickers are just “puffy perfection”. You know how some puffy stickers can be too puffy?! I know you feel me. Yep. However, these puffy stickers are just the right amount of puff and not too fluff (rhyming not intentional) which is great for my Traveler’s Notebook pages without the bulk. Coffee lovers unite! The April Life Crafted™ “Make It a Venti” kit was created JUST FOR YOU! I will admit that I’m not a diehard coffee fan (as in need a coffee or caffeine STAT upon waking up). I’m more of a 99% milk, 1% coffee kinda’ girl. Ok, I’m weak. Ha! I’m more of a Frappuccino lover. However, my husband, on the other hand is Southern Italian and takes his coffee VERY religiously (or seriously). We have the Breville espresso machine at home and he takes his caffeinated espresso “shot to the blood” first thing in the a.m. So, if you are in the similar league, you will love the kit this month! Also, you might want to grab up the April 2019 This Is Life “Daily Grind” Stamp as well since it screams coffee magic from top to bottom. The “rise + shine” phrase was included in the March Life Crafted™ “Life Chapters” kit. I re-sized the digital Life Crafted™ “Life Chapters” Journaling Cards – April 2019 to a “mini version” in a project template after the Print & Cut feature was applied to each image. Also, I used some of those awesome Citrus Twist Kits puffy stickers to complement among the mini pocket cards. I wanted to mimic the Starbucks holiday “red cup” from my photo. So, I used the similar cup stamp from the April 2019 This Is Life “Daily Grind” Stamp and stamped the image three times onto red, kraft and white cardstock. Then, I cut out the areas from each cardstock color and layered them. It’s all about expanding the use of your stamps, right?! The April 2019 “Make It a Venti” Cutaparts has labels that can be re-sized and used for stamping phrases, words, tidbits of journaling and even adding the fun rose gold letter stickers (included in the kit this month). The labeled tabs from Cutaparts are a fun touch to add in layering up or spotlighting a photo on your layout. Did you find this article helpful? I challenge YOU to head over the Citrus Twist Kits shop and grab up your faves in the Digital Files! Create it up, then, come back to this blog post and share up how you used the digital files in your next project. If you’re looking for more hybrid scrapbooking tips and tricks, then check out my Guest Designer March 2019 “Let’s Get Digital” blog post here.
Hello friends and happy Friday - it's Tara here sharing my take on Pocket Life Sketch Friday. I've been working on my personal album. It's new to me this year and I have really enjoyed it!! Don't forget to read through until the end for a chance to win some happy mail. I'm using April's 'Sophie' PL kit and Sprinkles kit in this layout. I love the pops of colour and though it isn't quite summer here, I'm welcoming the sunshine that we do get. For this layout, I really wanted to focus on journaling and using my handwriting. I love words and photos and my goal is to include more short and long stories with my photos. Here is your sketch: I ended up adding more to my layout as I noticed it was a little too plain for my liking. Here is the completed pocket page after some changes. I added a flip card that I used some washi on to the outside of the pocket. I also added the cute foam stars and hearts, some stamping, and some layers and a cork piece too. I love using extra bits and bobs and took one of the top tear off strips from the paper pad and layered it under the word sticker. I adhered it to the outside of the pocket for some dimension and texture outside. Here is the inside of the flip pocket. I wanted to use different journaling styles, so I made a list on the bottom 4x6 journaling card. I tucked behind some vellum that I stamped on for the title "loving". I'm also loving that alpha set from Kellie Stamps. I would love to see what you do with the PL sketch this week. Please share your work in our Gallery or Facebook Fan Page by Friday, May 5th and title it PL 05/05. Have a lovely weekend! Xxo, Tara
I really struggled with what colours to use this week, but I was drawn to the 4x6 card with yellow, grey and coral so that was the theme I went with! All the papers, cards and embellishments were kept to those colours and I love how it brings out all the yellows in my photos. Here are a few details ... And here is the sketch for you to work with... Thanks for visiting Pocket Life Friday, where every week we share PL sketches and a chance to win. For your chance to win, create a layout based on the sketch in this blog post, post your layout to our Gallery or our Facebook Fan Page by Friday, May 12th 2017. Be sure to include PL 05/05 in the title!
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today to check out this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge! This week the sketch features a single photo with lots of opportunities for layers and embellishments! For my take on the sketch, I used both the February Main "Stories" Kit and Embellishment Kit. AND because I was feeling adventurous, I filmed my process for those of you who like to watch scrapbook layouts come together! I've have included a video at the end of the post! First though, here is my official take on this week's sketch: As you can see, I took the sketch pretty literally and stuck to it pretty closely. The only difference is that chose to layer in a second piece of patterned paper (a 3x4 card cut from the Maggie Holmes Bloom cut apart paper) under the photo to add just a little bit of contrast to all the blues I had going on in the photo and papers. Now, it's your turn! To play along with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge, create a project based off of today's sketch, upload it to the gallery with the date of the challenge (2/7) in the title, and you will be eligible to win a $5 gift certificate to the CTK Store! Now as promised, here is the video: Looking forward to seeing what you all do! Michelle
This was my first album using a Travelers Notebook size format (4x8). I got this one in binder form from Citrus Twist and LOVED it. By the time I got everything added it was the perfect size. It never would have fit in a regular elastic band type travelers notebook very well, so I love that Citrus Twist offers these in binder 4x8 size. This is the title page. I went back and added a map to the binder because I felt the white was boring. (See below) I decided to add a map of DC to the inside of the album. I felt that the white was too boring. The tags are from IACB Out and About collection by Pink Paislee I also added gold foil stickers that I got from Michaels throughout the album to personalize it to DC. I also used digital 4x8 templates from Paislee Press. UNION STATION WASHINGTON MONUMENT Although not pictured here, I went back and made this layout open out to more pictures with a pocket to hold the brochure just like I did for Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial layouts. MUSEUM OF AMERICAN HISTORY THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES I adhered a couple of postcards that I purchased in the museum store back to back since there wasn't any photography allowed of the historic documents. THE WHITE HOUSE This was the end of Day 1. For photos that didn't fall into a category I switched up my format a bit, just to play with the traveler's notebook size. JEFFERSON MEMORIAL I created a trifold pocket to hold the brochure and love that it fits in this 4x8 travelers notebook just perfectly. I collected coins wherever I could for the monuments and adhered them with a glue dot. They add fun dimensionand personalization. FDR MEMORIAL This brochure pocket doesn't fold out, because I didn't have that many photos. MLK MEMORIAL KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL A page to include sweet baby Devi who was a trooper in the cold. LINCOLN MEMORIAL Another tri fold spread with a pocket for the brochure. VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL WWII MEMORIAL CHERRY BLOSSOMS Although we missed peak season by a couple weeks, I was happy to find a few blossoms. NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM US CAPITOL NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY And the last page.... This photo shows the maps I adhered to the inside of the album covers in better detail.

Hi there! Nathalie with you today with a new post that is all about making the most out of your kits. I am in love with the colors and feels of this month's Excursions and Add-On kits, plus all the n
Hello everyone! Nathalie with you today! i have had so much fun with my kit this month, and my challenge this month was to try and use as much of the Life Chapters kit as i could - these kits are so packed -, so i am going to show you how i worked the kit into my Life Crafted album. I love having the chance to add dimension and layers to my album, so i took advantage of the concentric pattern of the paper to add chipboard and ephemera to create this simple page about my nephew's 6th birthday. This page complements small spread created for CTK IG stories a few weeks back. For this i mixed similar elements as the previous page, and used layers -even the small glassine bag that carries the cork numbers- to document my nephew's celebration. If you have seen my work before, then you know that i love florals. So, I used the floral paper from the Life Chapters kit to create this spread about my crafty friends. I pulled the "The Story" cut file to create the title of this page, and cut it from white cardstock. I kept the page rather simple as i have lots of patterns in the page, however, i added the little bird on the title, and used the colors to bring the color in the word stickers into the page. For the other side of the spread, i used the leftover piece of paper to anchor the scalloped envelope (included in the Life Chapters kit and also available for purchase in the CTK shop) and build my page on it. I pulled the small floral ephemera to decorate this side of the page, and then used one of the large tags to house lots of journal about this day (you can find the tags in the CTK shop). Love how this came together with the Life Chapters kit!. This month's Life Chapters kit had a side focus on reading, so i used the large 3x8 tag ( and one of the new inserts coming to the shop in April) to create this spread all about my reading adventures. All the coordinating ephemera in the kit and the cut apart elements made this come together in a short amount of time. And for my last page today, i chose to use the Floral Cascade cut file (free subscriber cut file) to create the large die cut that covers this spread. Once again, i used one of the Life Chapters kit's papers to serve as a base for the spread. To balance the spread, i chose to leave the title in the 3x8 page protector, and used one of the large cork numbers, while the other side houses the picture and lines of journal. I have added some of the word stickers to form a visual triangle, while the vellum butterflies form a second visual triangle on the spread. All i have left with are just a few pieces that will slowly make its way to my personal journal or a future spread on my family album. Having all you need in a bag made it so easy to put all of this together. Now it is time to start working on the upcoming month's kit, you are going to love it!!! As always let me know if you have questions on how any of these came together, XO
Hi CTK friends! It's Anna on the blog today to bring you this month's Product Highlight. This time we want to inspire you to incorporate your foam or/and chipboard Thickers on your creations, YAY! Love me some Thickers! :) There's lots of them if you get both the August Perfectly Posh Scrapbook and Add On kit's and the are just awesome. I've made one layout and one TN spread and it works great to use Thickers for both of them. If you don't want your TN to bulky you can easily split them up to make them thinner, at least the chipboard Thickers, and mount them with regular glue instead. For me, I don't care to much if my TN gets a bit bulky, lol! Anyway I usualy doesn't use Thickers on each and every page. Enough babbling, here's what I came up with. First out is my layout made with the August Perfectly Posh Scrapbook kit, the Pocket Life kit, the Add On kit, the Embellishment kit and the free digital cut apart sheet. I immediatly fell in love with this lovely paper by Maggie Holmes Willow Lane with this BIG sentence. I did really step out of my comfort zone using mostly white backgrounds thanks to my crush on this paper, LOL! And I really like how easy you get some texture and dimension on your pages by using different Thickers. Next out is this outdoor inspired TN spread made with the August Perfectly Posh Scrapbook kit, the Add On kit and the Outdoor Adventures stamp. I was so inpired by the backside of the Outdoor Adventure stamp set so I decided to use them with some happy colored ink pads instead of my regular black one. I love to try "new" things and I really like how it turned out. And I also love the look of using these "YAY" foam Thickers upon my photo, pretty cool way of using Thickers, have to try that more :) And that's all what I have for now! There's so much to love about the August kits and I do really like these foam and chipboard Thickers and I'm sure you'll love the too. Be sure to share your creations with us in the CTK Fan Page on Facebook. And if you are up on Instagram? So are we! Tag @citrustwistkits and use the hashtag #citrustwistkits so we can see more of your gorgeous creations! I can't wait to see your creations! Thank's for stopping by! Take care! Anna xo
Hey there! It's Kira and I am back with another layout in my Life Crafted album. At the beginning of the year, I didn't have any set plans for these Life Crafted albums. I thought I would just randomly do a layout here and there, and it would be a nice switch from my everyday scrapbooking. But then I decided to use one as a vacation album, and I just fell in love with this size as a way to document events, rather than random stories. So I am going to be using my teal one as my beach day album! Here's a look at the layout I made today: I love this subscriber exclusive cut file that says "find joy everyday". I thought it worked perfectly with this photo of my youngest carefully observing a hermit crab on the beach. He is totally obsessed with anything sea creature related, so seeing a crab in its natural environment in real life pretty much made his day. To decide which paper I would cut out this cut file on, I first needed to decide on what products I planned to use. All of my beach pictures are printed in color since I couldn't bring myself to dull out the vibrancy of the day by printing in black and white. This means that its a tad harder to pick out a color scheme since I have to work with the colors in the photo. So while looking through the papers from the Life Crafted Kit, I stopped on this pretty floral with pink, red, blue and yellow. It was easy to find some papers to match, using both the Life Crafted kit and add-on kit for the month. I used the floral paper to fussy cut some flowers out. And I used the Signs of Life paper to cut out the cut file. I layered the fussy cut flowers around the cut file, adhered everything down and then stitched around the cut file in pink thread. I added more embellishments around the page from both kits. On the reverse page, I used one of these pocket pages. I used one of the 4x6 cards from the LC kit, and adhered my photo in the upper left corner. I added some more fussy cut flowers to make the whole layout feel cohesive. I added my journaling and a puffy sticker from the LC kit. In the 2x4 spot, I fussy cut the library type cards from the Signs of Life paper. I know that the study of crustaceans isn't technically entomology, but I thought it was close enough for the picture of the hermit crab. I cut the library card down to fit, and added more fussy cut florals. I added a tiny word sticker with some foam adhesive. Here's a look at the entire layout again: Thanks for stopping by! Kira
Happy Sunday Citrus Twist friends! Lorilei here today sharing a layout I made using a sketch and the gorgeous December Scrapbooking Add-on kit! Here is the sketch I am working with. My finished layout - I stuck very close to the sketch, replacing hearts with stars! I started the layout on a piece of white cardstock. I fiddled around with the top portion for quick some time and then realized stars would be fun! I added eyelets to my background paper and "hung" two of my stars on a string through the eyelets. They are secured with a pop dot and I also added a bit of glue to keep the strings in place. I used the December Life Crafted Stamp and the December 2x3 stamp for my "journaling" under the cozy title from the Crate Paper Snowflake puffy titles. I printed a long skinny photo instead of using two photos and stacked up papers from the December Scrapbooking Add-On kit. I used two labels from the Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice collection to decorate the photo area. To finish off the page I added some Crate Paper Snowflake stars and Willow Lane enamel dots around the page! I would have never created a page with this design out of my own head haha, it is so fun to make something different and use a sketch to start out with! This is a super fun sketch, I'd love for you to give it a go and see what you create! Thanks so much for joining me today!
Hey friends! Alena here, and I'm sharing a spread in my Life Crafted album using the August Life Crafted "Chasing Rainbows" Kit. This spread is pretty simple, but it's all about bright accents. My pages are pretty simple to create but has loads of texture . This time I used the Puffy Alphabet as part of the background. These letters perfectly match the blue sky in the photo. I also decided to add some acetate elements. Their transparency allows me to overlay them on the text. And of course I couldn't resist that Title. I placed it a little over the photo to connect the bottom and top of the page. Thank you for stopping by today! Please share what you create with your kits in our Facebook group and/or on Instagram tagging @citrustwistkits so we can see!
Hello Citrus Twist Kits Friends, Nikki here with the second page of my be loved Life Crafted Album which I created with the amazing new April Life Crafted Kit and the newest Sunday Sketch. I love the color combination for this kit and all these flower prints. What about you, whats yout favorite thing about this collection? Before I will show you my page you can find the beautiful Sunday Sketch here: And this is my interpretation of the sketch. For my page I chose the colors rose and dark blue with some gold/yellow elements. Due to the size of the page, I chose one instead of two photos and stuck the photo on one of the cards to create a frame. I took the sheets and the label from the sketch and trapped them around the photo. With 3D foam stickers you can make the leaves more lively and give the page more depth. In addition to the leaves, I also applied this to small elements such as the stars. On the opposite side I wanted to implement the sketch further or take over elements such as the leaves. Here I added flowers for the design and added color accents with Enamel Dots. When I was journaling, I tried a white font because it fits perfectly with the dark blue in combination with the delicate tones. I love how it turns out. I hope you enjoyed the little inspiration for the Sunday Sketch and motivated you to get creative yourself. I am glad that you stopped by and we will see us again soo.
