These beautiful flowers are part of a gorgeous stamp set called Avant Garden. What does that mean anyway...'avant' garden? Well, I looked it up and 'avant' is French for 'original and innovative,' 'culturally or stylistically advanced.' This is a pretty innovative and stylistically advanced set of flower stamps, don't you think? The color palate for our 'advanced' garden is bright and bold: Melon Mambo, Emerald Envy and Black. These are winter colors, just what we need in cold weather :-) And the best thing about this great stamp set is that it's FREE! Yes, FREE! During Sale-a-Bration, for every $50

There is something really rather addictive to this Beautiful You set of stamps as the line drawing images can be played around with and tweaked to create lots of different styles and eras of ladies. Take a look back on my last couple of posts to see some of the images I have created. Our brand new watercolour pencils are just perfect for colouring in these images using either the aquapainter or the blender pen. My personal favourite is the aquapainter and as long as you are careful and use an early dry brush you can use any of our cardstock without pilling occurring. All of the fantastic products are available from Stampin Up. Just follow the link above to browse their complete ranges in the Spring/Summer catalogue or the annual catalogue and for every £45 spend you can choose a free product from the Sale a Bration brochure, so there has never been a better time to stock up or discover a love for Stampin Up as I have. Stampin Up is not available on the high street and is exclusively available through a Stampin Up demonstrator like myself, so get a pen and write my name Jane Allmark down and shop via me on the Stampin Up website. So to today's card. I wanted to create and Art Deco lady so by using our black marker I drew a long strappy dress, long gloves and a rather fetching parasol which I think painted black with out watercolour pencils and aquablender. I wanted the dress to be beaded so used some liquid pearls and then some of our pearl basic jewels to decorate the hat and flourishes. The effect is quite stunning and gives the Art Deco style I was hoping for. Thanks for following my blog. Happy Sunday and whatever you are doing have fun.

I decided I needed to play with this lovely SAB stamp set again! It is called Avant Garden and it is free with a $50 purchase. These flowers are meant to look watercolored. I stamped the first one in Elegant Eggplant and then stamped again without reinking for a lighter color purple. The stems/leaves are in Old Olive. The base is a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock. I stamped a lace border from another SAB set you can also earn for free (my fav one this year) called Delicate Details. I then wrapped some Old Olive baker's twine around my cut image and popped it p on my base. I like the softness all the white offers. I hope you enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by! Good morning all! This week I thought I would give the Global Design Project a go. Each week they give different types of inspiration for a challenge, this week it is CASE the designer Connie Collins #GDP064 I decided to follow Brian's example and show case one of the stamp sets I won at On Stage Local. I was lucky enough to win Beautiful You. I took the yellow, green, blue colour pallet from Connie's card. I stamped the main image using Early Espresso then coloured her in using Stampin' Write Markers. I just knew her dress had to be green, bizarrely as green is not one of my go to colours. Once I had settled on Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and So Saffron chose themselves! So Saffron Wild Wasabi Marina Mist The reflection is also part of the stamp set and the sentiment 'Life may not be the party we had hoped for but while we're here we might as well dance' is perfect. I love both the carefree images and the lovely sentiments, this set is in the Stampin' Up! 2017 Spring/Summer catalogue and will be available for you to order from 4th January 2017. Linda xx

My classes begin next week and we are kicking off with a Stamp-a-Stack. Of course we are playing with some new products. These cards have been made using the Avant Garden Sale-a-Bration set. The designs are very simple, but I think that suits the style of this very pretty stamp set. Sahara Sand makes a really pretty base card colour when paired with soft pastel shades. Here I've used So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz. The darker ink colour is Early Espresso. Hello!....Well l'm back from a whirlwind few days in Brisbane for Stampin Up's On-Stage live event and to say l'm just a little excited, overwhelmed and sooo tired is an understatement..:0) It was a fabulous and fun way to spend a few days with some lovely friends. But reality has kicked in and the struggle is real...time to get creating! Our challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is all about these pretty colours! During "Onstage" l received the brand new "Swan Lake" stamp set in prize patrol. And although this is definitely not a set l would normally choose, l thought l would step outside my comfort zone and see if l could come up with something l liked...:0) I stamped, water coloured and sponged all images on some SU Shimmer c/stock and used the fab "New" stitched framelits to create the oval. The sentiment is from another "New" stamp set that we were lucky enough to receive in our check in bags, called "Suite Sentiments"...Loving the versatile sentiments in this set. Both of these sets will be available in the Occasions catalogue on the 4th of January 2017 and will coincide with the release of the fab new Sab products as well. Not that it photographed all that well, but there is a whole lot of Wink of Stella sparkle happening too! I also have another card l made using these colours, to which l have added a "Neutral" Crumbcake, which we do allow in our colour challenges by the way..:0) Don't forget to swing by the challenge blog for some more fab inspiration from the design team. Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!
Stampin' Up! is definitely near the top of my 'best jobs I've ever done' list as there's so much opportunity to achieve fabulous incentives not least the annual incentive trip. With the help of my fab

Hello Stampers! Here is one of the very first cards I have made using the "Beautiful You" stamp set available soon in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog that goes live on January 4th. Sale-a-Bration, Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year, starts at the same time!! Very few supplies were needed for this card. I did this one using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the figures very close to each other. I did another card without using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. It turned out good too but the figures were a little further apart. This is a regular size A2 card (finished size 5.5" x 4.25") I stamped all the ladies first with Tuxedo Black memento ink then stamped all but one dress with Smokey Slate ink. Finally I stamped the sentiment and the last dress in Real Red classic ink. The 'Hello You' thinlits were used to cut the "you" out of Real Red card stock.Very subtle and hard to see on the photo are the three tiniest pearls I added for a necklace on the lady in red. Hope you love the simplicity as much as I do. Click on the icon below to get everything you need for this project...except the Beautiful You stamp set which will not be available until January 4th. I've thought long and hard about why SU have named this set "Oh So Eclectic", still haven't been able to come up with anything that seems reasonable and sound. I would love to hear your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below. Nevertheless, I'm just in love with this set. This is my second blog post about this set already and I'm sure it won't be the last. Here I have used the stain glass technique, where I have powder embossed the image in white on vellum paper. Turning the paper over, I have coloured in the flower on the reverse side with blender pen, in doing so I was able to achieve the look of stain glass image. I have used the new in colour Fresh Fig, and lemon lime twist. Adhering vellum to card stock can be a bit tricky as it is transparent and the adhesive glue tends to show through, or there is often a discolouration on spots where there is adhesive. Leave it looking all spotty and discoloured. I used a trick I have learnt from one of the Onstage local presentations, can't quite remember her name right now, but she used a cotton bud to spread the adhesive glue all over the vellum, leaving only a thin layer on the surface, allowing it to stick without discolouring or leaving it looking spotty. Quite happy with how they turned out. Other than the technique, it's a really straightforward card with a simple layout. I had to fussy cut out the flower and the leaves sitting on top of the greeting, as I don't yet have the coordinating thinlit dies, which I will be sure to get once the we are allowed to order them from the new catalogue at the beginning of June. I am an independent Stampin' Up Demonstator with a wealth of experience in crafting in various forms. I am very grateful for your visit today, and I hope that you've enjoyed looking at my projects. Hope you can stop by again really soon.

Hello and welcome. Today I am taking part in the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. Each month we have an image to use as our inspiration. Hello, stamping friends. Welcome back to a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! This week we are working with a color challenge. Here's what I made using the Graceful Garden stamp set. I had so much fun experimenting with the large flower image in this set. Here's this weeks challenge: Stampin' UP! colors I used to create my card are: Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo. And did you notice the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder? LOVE. I used my brayer and inked White Craft ink across the raised side of the folder before running it thru my Big Shot. It gives it a soft, elegant look. To create the roses, I stamped them and then water colored the edges of the petals in the same color ink using my Aqua Painter. The vellum leaves are from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle. I haven't touched that set yet- yikes! I think I have too many sets, if that's possible....nooooooo! Garden Trellis Embossing Folder (143741) Graceful Garden (143849) Did you know that if you place an order of at least $40 using my August Host Code, you can earn the Garden Trellis Embossing folder for FREE? See my rewards page HERE. Now its time to head over to the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog and see what the other design team members created and then join us. You have until Friday, August 25, 2017, to play along. Hope to see you join the fun! Happy Stamping!

Katy McGloin is this week's Featured Designer at the Pals Paper Arts this week, and she's chosen a wonderfully unique color palette for her color challenge. Island Indigo and Sweet Sugarplum are surprisingly wonderful together (who'da thunk it?), and Sahara Sand adds the perfect backdrop for these colors to shine.

Hi there Today I wanted to share one of the cards we made in class yesterday. It uses the new 'Petal Palette' stamp set and the coordinating 'Petals & More Thinlits' dies from the Occasions Catalogue. The main floral image is quick and easy to colour and even better, you don't need to fussy cut as it has a die to match. There are extra dies included in this set, including the green stems we used. The card base is Pool Party and I added a layer of Basic Black, the top half of which was embossed with the new...
