I’m back! I know I sort of disappeared from my blog and some may know why and some may not. So I owe those of you who read my reviews an explanation. One of the main reason I stopped posting book reviews/blogs is because of school. Last year I chose to go back to school to get my high school diploma. I passed all my tests pretty easily, especially the RLA, aka Reasoning Through Language Arts, go figure that was my highest score out of all the tests! Unfortunately, Math was my weak point and since I saved for last. After passing all the other tests I focused all my energy and time to working towards passing my Math test. I had until May to complete it or I wouldn’t end up graduating this year, which being a 2018 graduate was my goal from the beginning. So from January - April I worked my butt off studying until 11 pm sometimes to improve my Math skills, which in doing so didn’t leave me much time or energy to do personal reading or anything else. I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pass it, but.... The good news is I ended up passing my Math test and was able to graduate in May! Going back and completing something that I gave up 5 years ago gave me the confidence and drive to look forward to a better future. I’ve learned these past months that without personal time, especially reading, I felt lost and not myself. So I’m back and ready to pick up where I left off and hopefully I can juggle my hectic life and my hobbies better in the future. So what is next for Thriftbookish? Well even though I have been MIA from my blog I haven’t stopped buying books! And with the summer here and me finally having free time I am ready to devote time for me to relax and get some reading in. I finally have a laptop again so I can finally redesign my blog layout which I have some exciting ideas for! I think you for all of you who have continued reading my reviews and following me on my other social medias. I set my book goal at 52 books this year (1 book a week) and even though it seems unlikely I am going to try and catch up and if I make it great if I don't I'm not too worried I will just enjoy the books.
