Die Prager Metro ist das wichtigste städtische Transportsystem in der Hauptstadt der Tschechischen Republik. Sie wurde 1974 gegründet und ist damit weder junge noch besonders alte U-Bahn mit drei Bahnbetriebsleitungen. Die 61 Stationen haben eine Gesamtlänge von 65,2 Kilometern. Das System wächst aufgrund der Baugenehmigung der neuen Linie weiter. Dank des Passagiervolumens, das 600 Millionen pro Jahr erreicht, hat es sich zu Europas fünftbefahrenstem U-Bahn-System entwickelt. Der Betreiber stellt auch Möglichkeiten für Park-and-ride zur Verfügung. Der Basistarif für eine 90- minütige Fahrt beträgt 32 Kronen (korunas) (1,44 US-Dollar). Die Metro arbeitet täglich zwischen 4:30 Uhr und 00:30 Uhr, wobei je nach Linie einige Abweichungen bestehen.
