We are in full Valentine's mode in our class. I have the heart manipulatives out and we are going to town on the Valentine's craftivities! I have been snapping pictures this week of some of the "love day" activities that we have been doing. When the kids finish their seat work, they can pick a manipulative or center off of the shelf to work on with a friend or independently. Here are some of the goodies... Here is one of my students matching the CVC word to the picture. They also can be used for matching the rhyming words. This activity is in my Valentine's Day Center Pack. I found these heart dice in the dollar bin at Target. The students roll the dice and add the numbers! For this activity the students matched the 20 frame with the correct number. This is a Valentine's 20 Frame Center that I made for the students to choose a number card, and they placed that many objects into the 20 frames. I made these felt hearts last year with felt and puffy paint. The students match the dots with the number. Our Valentine's Robots turned out so cute! The hearts say, "I like you a bot!" I also just shared a DIY Valentine's Center idea over at Top Teacher's Kinderland! Be sure to check it out!
