Do you need something quick and easy? These seasonal writing frames and phrase ideas are exactly what you need to support your Kindergarten or First Grade Students! They are easy to understand, guide your students to write in complete sentences and support emergent writers. WRITING about seasons is always a perfect idea to encourage your students to write. Children love to write about themselves and the activities they do during each season. It is fun for them to see what activities their friends do and compare how they are alike and different. These writing frames and included pictures to support writing are great to use in a writing center, station during Writing Workshop. It might also be used after reading a book about seasons as a response sheet to think about what each student likes to do during each season or to write about their favorite season. These seasonal writing activities and sorts are designed for kindergarten and first graders. The Sorts and Writing Include: 2 writing frame choices 54 cards for seasonal ideas with phrases for writing that can be placed in a writing center or categorize them together and place in bags or containers according to each season. 4 Sheets for each season in order to sort the cards, which can simply be another activity using this resource. 4 sheets for students to write phrases under their favorite season or all seasons. Simply use the cards and write phrase or 2 or draw pictures to differentiate. 1 sheet to use the pictures to write the phrases under each season.
