Hello Simple Stories friends! Anya here today and I am happy to share with you a set of cards I created with the gorgeous Apron Strings collection! I can't say enough how much I really enjoyed playing with this line and can't wait to get creating with it again soon! When I am planning on making a few cards at a time, journaling cards element pieces and tags are always my first things I go to. There's a simple formula that makes a cute cars every time: 3x4 element card + a few layers of a similar shape underneath + matching background + at least one die cut or chipboard piece + a finishing touche in form of brads and enamel dots. Stitching always adds a great handmade feel to any project and it has been one of my favorite techniques for years! If you like your stitched pieces to lay nice and flat on a card or layout, make sure to use a Bone Folder tool to smooth out the stitches from the back.
