They are finally back! After a long season of propagation, purple oxalis bulbs are here again! You will receive 10 bulbs (refer to the second photo). These can be planted indoors, outdoors, and mixed among other plants (refer to last two photos). Get your money back if they don't grow! However you must send a picture of the 10 pips to get your money back. Plant the bulbs ½ - 1 inch below soil. If planting indoors, place it in a sunny spot. In the first month after planting, water lightly as bulbs can rot if watered heavily in the initial stages of planting. Expect to see the first flowers pop out within 2-4 weeks. Interesting fact: The petals will turn inward (refer to eighth photo) at night, however, if you notice they are facing inward during the daytime, this indicates it’s environment isn’t favorable: either in need of water, over-watered, or in overpowering sunlight (which isn’t harmful). So this plant lets you know how it’s doing in its environment. Purple Oxalis flowers are unique because of their deep purple triangular petals. They grow year round indoors, and grow small pink flowers. Outdoors, they grow in zones 6-10, in colder areas you can bring them indoors during the winter and they'll continue to grow. If the flowers start to wither and die, simply pluck them out and they will regrow. Changing the top few inches of soil once a year with fresh soil helps this process. Overall this is a very low-maintenance, beautifully unique plant! My mom started growing purple oxalis years ago, and since then the bulbs have multiplied and there are so many I decided to sell them. In the pictures, you can see I grew them in tiny mason jars. One thing I love about this plant is that it doesn't require a large pot to be planted in. And as mentioned before, you will eventually have more bulbs overtime. You can even break the bulbs into multiple pieces to get more flowers right away! We also use reduced plastic packaging! I sew mini 100% cotton bags for your order, instead of using plastic bags. The only plastic included in the packaging is a small piece of bubble wrap!
