ΚΟΣΜΑΣ Ο ΑΙΤΩΛΟΣ ΜΙΑ ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΠΡΟΦΗΤΕΙΑ Μία προφητεία των ημερών μας που στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος της έχει πραγματοποιηθεί. Θα κοιμηθούμε χρεωμένοι και θα ξυπνήσουμε λευτερωμένοι.. (Προφητεία Πατροκοσμά) Ο Άγιος Κοσμάς ο Αιτωλός είχε γράψει για το Μνημόνιο και τις δανειακές συμβάσεις τις οποίες χαρακτηρίζει αντισυνταγματικά. Διαβάστε προσεκτικά παρακάτω το αυθεντικό κείμενο: «Τέλος με τα φοβικά σύνδρομα του Μνημονίου και των Δανειακών Συμβάσεων, που είναι όλα άκυρα και παράνομα, αντισυνταγματικά και απάνθρωπα! 200 χρόνια πριν ο Εθναπόστολος του Γένους, ο Άγιος Κοσμάς ο Αιτωλός που ανέστησε Πίστη και Πατρίδα στις ψυχές των Σκλάβων, μας αποκάλυψε με τη Χάρη του Θεού, ότι ΔΕΝ θα πληρωθεί το δυσβάσταχτο και εν πολλοίς κατασκευασμένο και παράνομο Ελληνικό «χρέος», το…. οποίο δημιουργήθηκε ρίχνοντάς μας χρήμα πολύ, μέσω ΕΟΚ/ΕΕ, που αλλοίωσε ο λαό μας, τις αξίες, τις παραδόσεις και την ίδια την υπόστασή του! Ιδού οι συγκεκριμένες προφητείες του για το Ελληνικό «Χρέος»: α. «Θα σας ρίξουν παρά πολύ• θα σας ζητήσουν να τον πάρουν πίσω, αλλά ΔΕΝ θα μπορέσουν»! (σ.σ. παράς είναι το χρήμα) β. «Θα σας επιβάλουν μεγάλο και δυσβάστακτο φόρο, αλλά ΔΕΝ θα προφθάσουν»! Καί αναφέρει επίσης σχετικά: γ. «Θα βάλουν φόρο στις κότες και στα παράθυρα»! δ. «Θα ζητήσουν να σας πάρουν και στρατιώτες. ΔΕΝ θα προφθάσουν όμως»! ΝΑΙ, χάρη στην Πρόνοια του Θεού, ΔΕΝ θα προφθάσουν!.. Μην ανησυχείτε για αυτό το «χρέος» λοιπόν, αλλά κοιτάξτε μονάχα το ένα και αληθινό ΧΡΕΟΣ που έχουμε στον Χριστό, την Παναγιά και τους Αγίους μας που δεν σταματούν να πρεσβεύουν και την Πατρίδα μας! Οι σκοτεινές δυνάμεις, πάνε να καταπιούν την Ορθόδοξη Ελλάδα μας και…. ήδη πανηγυρίζουν την μεγάλη επιτυχία τους… Μα ΔΕΝ θα προφθάσουν… Θα κοιμηθούμε χρεωμένοι και θα ξυπνήσουμε λευτερωμένοι… Θα κοιμηθούμε μικρό κράτος και θα ξυπνήσουμε και πάλι Αυτοκρατορία!»

Γεννήθηκε στὸ χωριὸ Ταξιάρχης τῆς ἐπαρχίας Ἀποκούρου ποὺ βρίσκεται κοντὰ στὸ χωριὸ Μέγα Δένδρο Ναυπακτίας (τὸ 1714), ἀπὸ γονεῖς εὐσεβεῖς, ποὺ τὸν ἀνέθρεψαν ἐν παιδείᾳ καὶ νουθεσίᾳ Κυρίου. Εἴκοσι χρονῶν µετέβη στὸ Ἅγιον Ὄρος, γιὰ νὰ σπουδάσει στὸ ἐκεῖ νεοσύστατο σχολεῖο τοῦ Βατοπεδίου. Μετὰ τὴν ἀποφοίτησή του, πῆγε στὴ Μονὴ Φιλόθεου, ὅπου ἔγινε µοναχὸς καὶ κατόπιν Ἱεροµόναχος. Ἀλλὰ ὁ Ἅγιος δὲν ἡσύχαζε, φλεγόµενος νύχτα-µέρα ἀπὸ τὸν πόθο νὰ βγεῖ καὶ νὰ διδάξει στοὺς σκλαβωµένους Ἕλληνες τὰ ἅγια Γράµµατα. Ὅµως, θεωροῦσε τὸν ἑαυτό του ταπεινὸ καὶ ἀδύνατο νὰ ἐπωµισθεῖ τέτοιο φορτίο. Ἀλλὰ µὲ θεία ἀποκάλυψη, πῆγε στὴν Κωνσταντινούπολη, ὅπου συνάντησε τὸν ἀδελφό του Χρύσανθο, ποὺ ἦταν δάσκαλος. Αὐτὸς τοῦ ἔκανε µερικὰ µαθήµατα ρητορικῆς, ποὺ θὰ βοηθοῦσαν τὸν Κοσµᾶ στὸ κήρυγµα. Ἔπειτα, ἀφοῦ πῆρε τὴν ἄδεια τοῦ Πατριάρχη, ὄργωσε στὴν κυριολεξία τὴν Ἑλλάδα, διδάσκοντας στοὺς «ραγιάδες» τὸ λόγο τοῦ Θεοῦ. Ἀπ΄ ὅπου περνοῦσε, ἔκτιζε σχολεῖα, ἐκκλησίες, καὶ πλῆθος λαοῦ συνέρεε καὶ «ρουφοῦσε» τὸ «νέκταρ» τῆς ἁγίας διδασκαλίας του. Τελικά, ὁ φθόνος τῶν Ἑβραίων, σὲ συνεργασία µὲ τοὺς Τούρκους, εἶχε σὰν ἀποτέλεσµα τὸν ἀπαγχονισµὸ τοῦ Ἁγίου στὰ χώµατα τῆς Βορείου Ἠπείρου (τὸ 1779). Τὰ λόγια του ἦταν προφητικά, γεµάτα θεία χάρη καὶ ἁπλότητα. Κάποτε εἶπε στοὺς κατοίκους κάποιου χωριοῦ: «Ἦρθα στὸ χωριό σας καὶ σᾶς κήρυξα. Δίκαιο εἶναι λοιπὸν νὰ µὲ πληρώσετε γιὰ τὸν κόπο µου. Μὲ χρήµατα µήπως; Τί νὰ τὰ κάνω; ἡ πληρωµὴ ἡ δική µου εἶναι νὰ βάλετε τὰ λόγια του Θεοῦ στὴν καρδιά σας, γιὰ νὰ κερδήσετε τὴν αἰώνια ζωή». Ἀπολυτίκιον Ἦχος α’. Τὸν τάφον σου Σωτὴρ. Οι Άγιοι Κοσμάς και Δαμιανός κατάγονταν από την Ασία. Οι γονείς τους ήταν άριστο πρότυπο χριστιανών συζύγων. Όταν η μητέρα τους Θεοδότη (βλέπε 2 Ιανουαρίου) έμεινε χήρα, αφιέρωσε κάθε προσπάθεια της στη χριστιανική ανατροφή των δυο παιδιών της, Κοσμά και Δαμιανού. Τους δύο αδελφούς διέκρινε μεγάλη ευφυΐα και επιμέλεια, γι' αυτό και σπούδασαν πολλές επιστήμες. Ιδιαίτερα όμως, επιδόθηκαν στην ιατρική επιστήμη, την οποία εξασκούσαν σαν διακονία φιλανθρωπίας προς τον πλησίον. Θεράπευαν τις ασθένειες των ανθρώπων, και ιδιαίτερα των φτωχών, χωρίς να παίρνουν χρήματα, γι' αυτό και ονομάστηκαν Ανάργυροι. Πολλοί ασθενείς που θεραπεύθηκαν ήθελαν να τους ευχαριστήσουν. Αλλά αυτοί, δε δέχονταν τις ευχαριστίες και απαντούσαν με τον ορθό λόγο της Αγίας Γραφής: «Ἡ εὐλογία καὶ ἡ δόξα καὶ ἡ σοφία καὶ ἡ εὐχαριστία καὶ ἡ τιμὴ καὶ ἡ δύναμις καὶ ἡ ἰσχὺς τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων» (Αποκάλυψη Ιωάννου, ζ' 12). Δηλαδή, όλος ο ύμνος και η δόξα και η σοφία και η ευχαριστία και η τιμή και η δύναμη και η ισχύς, ανήκει στο Θεό μας, στους αιώνες των αιώνων. St. Kosmas Aitolos, the New Hieromartyr and Equal-to-the-Apostles - Commemorated on August 24 (taken from: http://ocafs.oca.org/FeastSaintsViewer.asp?SID=4&ID=1&FSID=102390) The New Hieromartyr Cosmas, Equal of the Apostles, in the world Constas, was a native of Aitolia. He studied at first under the guidance of the archdeacon Ananias Dervisanos, and afterwards continued his education on Mount Athos, at the Vatopedi school renowned for teachers such as Nicholas Tzartzoulios (from Metsovo) and Eugenius Voulgaris (afterwards in the years 1775-1779 the archbishop of Ekaterinoslav and the Chersonessus). Remaining on Athos at the Philotheou monastery to devote himself to spiritual labors, he was tonsured a monk with the name Cosmas, and later was ordained hieromonk. The desire to benefit his fellow Christians, to guide them upon the way of salvation and strengthen their faith, impelled St Cosmas to seek the blessing of his spiritual fathers and go to Constantinople. There he mastered the art of rhetoric and, having received a written permit of Patriarch Seraphim II (and later from his successor Sophronius) to preach the Holy Gospel. It brought Christians great spiritual benefit. The Lord Himself assisted him and confirmed his words with signs and miracles, just as He had confirmed the preaching of the Apostles. Preaching in the remote areas of Albania, where Christian piety had almost disappeared among the rough and coarse people entrenched in sin, St Cosmas led them to sincere repentance and improvement with the Word of God. The rich offered their money for the betterment of the churches, for the purchase of Holy Books (which the saint distributed to the literate), veils (which he gave women, admonishing them to come to church with covered heads),for prayer ropes and crosses (which he distributed to the common folk), and for baptismal fonts so that children could be baptized in the proper manner. Since the churches could not accommodate everyone wanting to hear the wise preacher, St Cosmas with forty or fifty priests served the Vigil in the fields, and in city squares, where thousands of people prayed for the living and for the dead, and were edified by his preaching. Everywhere that St Cosmas halted and preached, the grateful listeners set up a large wooden cross, which remained thereafter in memory of this. At 65 years of age, he was seized by the Turks and strangled. His body was thrown into a river, and after three days, was found by the priest Mark and buried near the village of Kolikontasi at the monastery of the Entrance into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos. Afterwards, part of his relics were transferred to various places as a blessing. In 1810 Ali Pasha became master of the city of Berat and its environs. Within four years he succeeded in raising the money required to build the first church in honor of St. Kosmas. St. Kosmas Aitolos, the New Hieromartyr and Equal-to-the-Apostles - Commemorated on August 24 (taken from: http://ocafs.oca.org/FeastSaintsViewer.asp?SID=4&ID=1&FSID=102390) The New Hieromartyr Cosmas, Equal of the Apostles, in the world Constas, was a native of Aitolia. He studied at first under the guidance of the archdeacon Ananias Dervisanos, and afterwards continued his education on Mount Athos, at the Vatopedi school renowned for teachers such as Nicholas Tzartzoulios (from Metsovo) and Eugenius Voulgaris (afterwards in the years 1775-1779 the archbishop of Ekaterinoslav and the Chersonessus). Remaining on Athos at the Philotheou monastery to devote himself to spiritual labors, he was tonsured a monk with the name Cosmas, and later was ordained hieromonk. The desire to benefit his fellow Christians, to guide them upon the way of salvation and strengthen their faith, impelled St Cosmas to seek the blessing of his spiritual fathers and go to Constantinople. There he mastered the art of rhetoric and, having received a written permit of Patriarch Seraphim II (and later from his successor Sophronius) to preach the Holy Gospel. St. Kosmas Aitolos, with scens from his life (http://pravicon.com/images/sv/s1222/s1222007.jpg) So the saint began to proclaim the Gospel at first in the churches of Constantinople and the surrounding villages, then in the Danube regions, in Thessalonica, in Verroia, in Macedonia, Chimaera, Akarnania, Aitolia, on the islands of Saint Maura, Kephalonia and other places. It brought Christians great spiritual benefit. The Lord Himself assisted him and confirmed his words with signs and miracles, just as He had confirmed the preaching of the Apostles. Preaching in the remote areas of Albania, where Christian piety had almost disappeared among the rough and coarse people entrenched in sin, St Cosmas led them to sincere repentance and improvement with the Word of God. The rich offered their money for the betterment of the churches, for the purchase of Holy Books (which the saint distributed to the literate), veils (which he gave women, admonishing them to come to church with covered heads),for prayer ropes and crosses (which he distributed to the common folk), and for baptismal fonts so that children could be baptized in the proper manner. Since the churches could not accommodate everyone wanting to hear the wise preacher, St Cosmas with forty or fifty priests served the Vigil in the fields, and in city squares, where thousands of people prayed for the living and for the dead, and were edified by his preaching. Everywhere that St Cosmas halted and preached, the grateful listeners set up a large wooden cross, which remained thereafter in memory of this. At 65 years of age, he was seized by the Turks and strangled. His body was thrown into a river, and after three days, was found by the priest Mark and buried near the village of Kolikontasi at the monastery of the Entrance into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos. Afterwards, part of his relics were transferred to various places as a blessing. In 1810 Ali Pasha became master of the city of Berat and its environs. Within four years he succeeded in raising the money required to build the first church in honor of St. Kosmas. Moreover, he personally contributed not only toward the building of the church but paid to have a silver reliquary made in which Kosmas' skull was placed and saw to it that the Saint's service (akolouthia) was composed. It was later printed in Venice by the Epirot printer Nicholas Glykys." In saying the Ali Pasha would go to Constantinople but with a "red beard", the Saint meant that Ali Pasha would be beheaded and his head with bloody beard would be sent to that city. Hence, they arouse admiration and manifestly testify to the Saint's gift of prophecy.)
