Ok, who wants to see a sneak peek of new products coming in the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog? ✋ After attending a virtual 3-day program introducing the new Mini and upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure, I was fortunate to be able to pre-order some of the products. And the first bundle I chose was the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle, including the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and the Brilliant Rainbow dies. My mom, who passed away in July, loved rainbows, so this set has special significance for me. There are 14 stamps in the set , and 10 dies, and you can create all kinds of rainbows - big, small, and in-between. So what did I make first? A fun set of mini cards! I love to include a mini, 3" x 3" card when I sell retired products. So I'm always making these, and I love how these turned out. Using one of the dies, I cut four colors - Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape, giving me 4 sizes of each color. I merely combined them for the cards. The Stitched Shapes die is retired (but will never leave my stash!) and it's the perfect size for this little rainbow. I stamped the greeting along the bottom in a color matching the largest arc of the rainbow and also made that the card base. Then I just popped up one of the little clouds, included in the dies. Cute? YES! But then I started playing a little more... This time I stamped the rainbow and stretched out the photopolymer greeting (yes, you can alter the shape of these pliable stamps), then used a piece of the FREE Sale-a-Bration coordinating Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper to mount it on. And then: This time I cut the rainbow with the largest die and some Rainbow Glimmer paper (how fitting is that?) and mounted it to a watercolored piece of Basic White. And look at that cute border: Mini rainbows! LOVE! Can't wait to get your hands on some of the new products? Well today is your lucky day! Hello everyone, and welcome to another SUOChallenge. This time the theme is Valentines Day, which for many of us is a beautiful day to celebrate our love for those we really do cherish in our lives. I chose to use one of the new bundles from the Mini catalogue Jan - June 2022 called 'Ranunculus Romance'. This bundle has some really beautiful images in it which I feel are perfect for Valentine and such occasions! So let's have a look at what I came up with this time, and then you could hop over to the SUOC#294 and have look at what the rest of the design team have made for your inspiration maybe even join in with the challenge yourself - details of how to are over on the link above. I chose to use very soft colours for my card and then just added a touch of Basic Gray to give a little pop to it! 1. Cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock 14.8cm x 21cm score in half at 10.5cm. 2. Cut a layer of the Petal Pink cardstock 10.2cm x 14.5cm attach flat to the front of the card. 3. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock same size as the Petal Pink and attach flat to the inside of the card. 4. Cut a layer of Basic White cardstock 9.5cm x 13.8cm and aatach flat to the front of the card. 5. From the Heart and Home dsp cut some of the wood plank effect pieces out using your scissors. Stamp the written image all over one of the strips, using versamark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool. 6. Attach all of the dsp pieces to the same size pieces of Basic white cardstock. These all get attached to the front of the card - 3 flat and 1 on dimensionals. On 2 of the pieces the small image is stamped on, where needed, using Basic Gray ink pad. 7. Die cut all of the different elements using Petal Pink and Basic White for the large flower, Petal Pink, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate for the leaves and then Basic Gray for the filigree bits. 8. Stamp the flower image using the sponge daubers, Petal Pink and Smoky Slate ink. Die cut it out using the matching die. 9. Attach the large flower pieces together using glue and then to the card with dimensionals. 10. Add some tear n tape onto the large flower, peel backing off and then attach some of the Gray Granite twine onto it, leaving loops hanging over the edges. 11. Glue all of the leaves together, add the stamped flower using dimensionals and then glue the whole piece onto the large flower over the top of the twine. Glue a couple of the filigree bits to the card front. 12. Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Basic Gray ink pad then add a slightly bigger piece of Basic Gray cardstock to the back. Attach this to the card using glue. 13. Tie a bow to the stem of the flower then add some of the really pretty Polished Dots to finish the card off. I loved how these images all made the card look, vintage and elegant at the same time. I hope you find time now to hop over and look at all the other makes that are ready for you to see. Hello, It is always disappointing when a favourite product is retiring like the Notes Of Nature Bundle (#162640), but we can also look forward to more exciting products in the upcoming Annual catalogue which is available from 1st May. I stamped the leaves from the Notes Of Nature stamp set (#162630) using Old Olive ink (#147090). The Notes Of Nature dies (#163203) were used to cut these leaves as well as the leaves from the Gold Foil (#132622) and the Old Olive card (#106576). I used Adhesive Sheet (#152334) on the back of the Gold Foil & Old Olive card. I stamped the leafy image from the stamp set onto the Basic White (#159228) background using Crumb Cake ink (#147116) but stamping off each time for a lighter colour. This was matted with Old Olive card and attached to the Basic White Base Card. I cut the gold & white floral DSP from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper (#162616) using an Everyday Details die (#162864) this was taped to the card. “Happy Birthday” from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set (#161450) was stamped with Old Olive ink. The circles were cut with the Everyday Details dies. The Old Olive circle and stamped leaves were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The other die cut leaves were attached to the card. I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) on the stamped leaves. The embellishments are the Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) and Gold Festive Pearls (#159963). The retiring products used here are Notes of Nature Bundle, stamp set & dies, Beautiful balloons stamp set and Festive Pearls. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. I love the Ranunculus Romance Bundle and the colours Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana together are fabulous. My card is a vintage theme.
Today I am sharing with you how to do a 3-D look to a flat card. I love how this turned out and I think the black and white is my fave.
This week I'm using the really fun Sending Love Bundle for my cards. I love all the hearts for a Valentine's Day card (and one is coming tomorrow), but I also wanted to create a colorful,
Hello again my friends, The flowers on this card are from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set (#162953) and I have used the Masking technique. This stamp set is a free Sale-a-bration product with a $180 order. One of the small flowers in the set also co-ordinates with the Petal Park Builder Punch (#160576), but I haven’t used it on this card. I stamped the larger floral image onto the Basic White card (#159228) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). I then stamped this onto Masking Paper (#155480) and fussy cut the image. I placed this over the stamped image on the card and stamped the image with the buds 4 times. I also used a mask for the buds. This allows you to stamp the image but it doesn't overlap the previous images. The Stampin’ Blends to colour these are Flirty Flamingo (#154884), Bubble Bath (#161675) and Granny Apple Green (#154885). I matted the card front with Flirty Flamingo card (#141421) and attached it to the Basic White base card. “Happy Birthday” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052) and cut with a retired Stitched Rectangles die. The Gold ribbon is from the Silver & Gold Trim Combo (#161633) and this was attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The dragonflies are from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds (#162743). Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used to add glimmer to the larger flowers. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hello everyone, I think we all have scraps of designer papers that we just don't want to throw away. That’s what I have used here for today’s pretty card. I taped the strips of DSP from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (#163303) to a piece of Basic White card (#159228). Of course you can use a mix of designer papers that work together. This was then cut with a die from the Spotlight On Nature Dies (#163580). The Basic White card front was dry embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder (#154317) and matted with Fresh Freesia card (#155614). The circle of DSP was taped to the card front. I cut 3 leaves from the Flowers Of Beauty dies (#163375). For these I used Granny Apple Green card (#147014), Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164142) and Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164118). These leaves were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The butterfly is from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set 163490). I stamped this with VersaMark (#102283) onto Fresh Freesia card, and added Clear from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165679). I heat set this with the Heat Tool (#129056), then cut it with the co-ordinating die from the Sketched Butterflies dies (#163491). I added glimmer to the butterfly with the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897). The butterfly was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). “Just a note”, from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink (#155611). A die from the Spotlight On Nature was used to cut the sentiment. The embellishments are the Iridescent Foil Gems (#162842). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Welcome to Simple Sunday!! It's always fun playing with new product. Especially at the beginning of a new catalog. Today is no exception! I inked up the Beautiful Thistle stamp set (#160335) for Simple Sunday. This stamp set and coordinating dies will be available when the new catalog goes live this Thursday, January 5, 2023. I stamped the image with Stazon ink and used a Blender Pen to add Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz ink. The sentiment is also stamped in Stazon and I finished the card off with a Black & White, 1/4' Gingham
This week I'm using the Dainty Delight Bundle for my cards. I decided to use it as a simple stamped image over a watercolor background. I did the same technique last week for this card here and I
