A sideways ribbed tee with a curved hem and buttoned sides. The boxy tee is knitted from side to side (left to right) in one piece with a curved hem in a slipped-stitch ribbing. No purling is necessary. The sides, knitted in 2x2 ribbing, are closed with buttons. You can choose between adding buttonholes or sewing the buttons through both layers of fabric for more security. The slipped-stitch selvedge creates a neat finish along the hem and neckline, and the curved hem creates shorter sides and a longer center front and back. The armholes are adjustable through personalized button placement. Use wool/linen or wool/cotton blends to create a flattering tee that you can wear all year. You can knit the body with stripes as shown in the picture, along with matching ribbing at the sides. Alternatively, you can knit the entire piece in one color, add contrasting ribbing, create your own striped or color-blocked version, or use the intarsia technique to work the back and front in different colors. Make it your own and have fun with it! The pattern is called PARTICULAR because it is a particular case of kimono. It is a pattern recipe: first, the construction is explained, then I describe how I made my top and give several examples of eyelet stitch patterns. You can use any yarn and any needles you find appropriate. My top is from cotton 50 g/125 m (indicated in the yarn and needle recommendation section). If you have knitted my seamless top-down kimono constructions, you are almost there! • Top-down and seamless! Try on as you go and adjust for your body type. • Design your very own top from your yarn and using an eyelet pattern you like. • You can make it longer if you want a dress or a tunic. You can also make long sleeves. • Eyelet patterns look nice in many types of yarn. • Eyelet patterns are easily customizable: insert knit or purl stitches between eyelets, make the space between eyelet rows larger or smaller, use stockinette or garter stitch, whatever you prefer. • In my example, the upper part and the sleeves are in the eyelet pattern and the rest in stockinette. You can make the eyelet section longer, knit the bottom section in reverse stockinette or in garter, whatever suits you. KAL here till 20 June 2016. Join us! During the KAL you can purchase the pattern recipe for a friendly price.

The combination of yarns shows this unique color I had in my mind for such a soft and cozy, classic top-down raglan sweater. And I just love the simple slip stitch pattern creating a nice grip, without being bulky at all! THE GREEN is worked seamlessly in rounds in one piece from the top-down with an all over stitch pattern. After the collar is worked, the yoke is shaped by short rows and raglan increases down to the sleeve separation. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, underarm stitches are cast on, and you continue to work the body to the bottom ribbing. After the body is completed, sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles to work in st pattern in the round. … SIZES XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) Finished bust circumference: (cm): 90 (99, 108, 118, 127, 136) (inch): 35.5 (39, 42.5, 46.5, 50, 53.5) Please choose a size with 16-20 cm (6-8 in) of positive ease at the bust. Gardeners’ hat A special gift for a retiring colleague. That kind of colleague that was always available for consultation, good advice or a joke at the coffee machine. We share a hobby, we both grow vegetables in our garden. Being out and about digging, sowing and weeding. Never alone because there are always animals around the garden, wanted or not wanted because they eat part of our harvest. And my favourite tools to work with, they are all on this hat. I have knitted it like a Fishermen’s hat from Shetland but, without the double rim, and with slightly thicker yarn on 3,5 mm needles. The yarn is 100 % wool from the Ullcenter in Sweden in white and Sommergrön a variegated yarn with taupe to olive green. The motives consist of garden tools, vegetables in the garden plot and the animals that surround you when you work in a garden. The rim is a bit tighter than a normal Fishermen’s hat to prevent the hat from sliding of when doing the digging. You need about 120 to 150 grams of yarn, minimal in 2 different colours for a 3,5 mm needle and you can of course use scraps of yarn. Gauge is 24 st and 27 rows.

Tiny yet bright and cheery. Fairy bouquet sweater is worked in the round from the top down, beginning with 1x1 twisted ribbing for the neckband. Next, German short rows are worked to shape the back of the neck with shoulder increases. The yoke is then worked in the round, followed by raglan increases to the underarm. The sleeve stitches are set aside and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Sleeves are worked top-down in the round. SIZE GUIDE To pick the correct size, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust. The recommended ease is 10 to 15 cm / 4 to 6”. If your size falls between 2 sizes, I would recommend you to go up 1 size. Make a round swatch (about 15~20 cm in width and height) with your yarns, check your gauge and adjust needle size and desired ease accordingly. Please note that the finished measurements can only be achieved if the sweater is knitted in the correct gauge.
