This is a quick & easy Mother's Day prompt :) I use word banks with my students who have writing goals. Many of my 1st-graders (Special Education inclusion) working on writing often have objectives such as independently generating ideas on a topic (it's a challenge for them!) and writing 3-4 phonetically-correct sentences featuring high frequency words. Of course, we start with models and smaller increments with supports such as word banks and cueing. These lofty goals are one-year-plus from the IEP meeting date, so they extend past one school year into the next. Models and supports will be gradually diminished as students demonstrate mastery and build independence. Even though I find word banks SO useful, I still wonder if it's the right support. How do you feel about using word banks in your classroom? I'd love to hear!! Click HERE to pick up your copy! Have a super Tuesday! Positively Learning

This is a pin from Julie – the Happy Home Fairy. She warns you should have tissues nearby when you read it, and she gives you the PDF on her site so you can print it or share. Not hard to do if you need a last minute gift. Mandy from It Will Change Your Life, made a potted 'plant' of grandchildren flowers. That's 20 grandkids. I think this is easy enough to make without instructions. Samantha from Simply Organized has a great idea any mom would love, Handprint Art. Since kids grow so fast, it's great to have a remember when? I love it. She offers a tutorial on her site. Kelli and Kristi from Lolly Jane Boutique, offers another great way to keep the memories of your kids small hands alive. They have a tutorial on their site, too. There are more ideas available if you need them. Have a fun day.
