Welcome Crafting Friends! The theme for this month's hop is All About the Flowers. If you are following the hop, you may have come from Teri's blog. Weren't her projects awesome? You will find a list of all the bloggers at the bottom of my post. I am excited about this month's theme! I love flowers and flower gardening, and even though I have several flower stamp sets, I am always looking for more! Because I am a demonstrator, I am able to see the catalog early and preorder from the new Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. The products in the new catalog are available for purchase on May 3. Wisteria don't thrive in western Montana due to our cold winters, but I have seen them growing in the Seattle area--so beautiful! When I saw the Wisteria Wishes stamp set in the new catalog, it went to the top of my wish list. It comes with a die set in a "bundle." I used the Wisteria Wishes bundle to make a card for a friend. The two large flowers were made with two sizes of dies from the set. The smaller flowers were stamped first with Fresh Freesia and then stamped over with Highland Heather. Wisteria Wishes available May 3. These dies cut stamped images from the die set. These are some of the dies in the set that don't have coordinating stamps. I used Fresh Freesia card stock for the larger flower piece and Highland Heather card stock for the smaller piece and then layered them. I love the leaf die in the set. It cut and embossed these beautiful leaves. Can you see the trellis just barely visible in the back? It's made with another die from the set. I try to find stamps I can use in multiple ways. I am already thinking about Christmas cards (yes, really!) Turn the stamp upside down and it becomes pine trees! Trees are stamped and then cut. Two die cuts to make a tree! My 3-D project is a slim pleated gift bag to hold a prayer journal I am giving to my friend. I used a 12 x 12" piece of two-sided pretty paper for my bag. The contrasting border along the top was made by folding over an inch. I used a die from the Color and Contour die set to make the white focal background piece. I stamped the leaves and flowers and used my die cutting machine to cut them. Back of bag Close up of the side pleat Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will continue on to Barb's blog. Wisterias hold a special place in my heart. I 'inherited' a wisteria when we moved into this house 24 years ago. It's one of the only remaining original plants in my garden, I've planted almost everything else in the garden since then. But the wisteria is gorgeous, and FUN FACT, it blooms every year for our son's birthday in late March!! When I saw the Wisteria Wishes bundle in the new Stampin' UP! catalog, I knew right away it would be on my first order AND I knew exactly what I was going to do.... die cut the flowers

This card would be a great card to thank someone with. I'm going to give some general instructions, but a complete tutorial is available for download at the bottom of this post. The card I'm sharing with you today is a fun-fold card using the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and the Wisteria Dies. This card folds in 1 7/8" at the top and bottom. The Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper, this beautiful Highland Heather design, was adhered to the top and bottom flaps. The wisteria was cut with the Wisteria Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstock. The die with the leaves was cut out of Garden Green cardstock. The beautiful Pastel Pearls were adhered in the opening between the top and bottom flaps. The Basic White piece behind the wisteria was embossed with the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder and lightly brushed with Smoky Slate ink. The sentiment and background pieces were punched with the Double Oval Punch and adhered with dimensionals in order for the corner of the Brick and Mortar piece to slip behind it to hold the card closed. On the inside at the top, the wisteria was stamped in Highland Heather then the detailed small stamp was stamped over the Highland Heather with Gorgeous Grape ink. The leaves were stamped with Garden Green ink. The wisteria vine was cut from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and adhered to the bottom inside. If you would like my tutorial, click on the box below. *This blogpost is in Dutch and English!* Hallo, en welkom bij de Kre8tors Bloghop! Hello and welcome, to the Kre8tors bloghop! This month will show you projects made with products from our beautiful new Annual Catalog! That is why I have chosen a favourite bundle, and mixed some new colours with some older ones! And ofcourse I was inspired by all the gorgeous Wisteria plants that are flourishing so abundantly in our garden, right at this moment! The beautiful new set I used is Wisteria Wishes, together with the matching Wisteria Dies. Together they can be ordered as a bundle, which gives a 10 percent discount. This time I decided to focus on the beautiful Dies and to use them with watercolour! That means having a lot of messy fun with ink and water! I diecut several flowers and branches from Fluid 100 watercolourpaper, and started colouring them with ink and a Water Painter. To create depth and to get different colourshades I chose several inks. For the leaves I used the new In Color Parakeet Party together with Garden Green and Mossy Meadow. For the flowers I chose the new In Color Orchid Oasis, together with Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape. Since the flowers have two layers you can "fluff them up" before adhering them on top of eachother, and this gives a nice full, bushy effect. Since I wanted to make a rustic, voluptious card, to mimic the abundant look of these gorgeous plants, I made a matching background. Ofcourse I used the same Ink Colours for this! I love it when I can catch the "feeling"of a plant! I added some splattering with a Stampin'Write Marker in Orchid Oasis, and ofcourse a fitting text! I heatmebossed the words on some Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and used the Banner Pick a Punch to turn into a nice label. It may look complicated to make, but it really isn't! But ofcourse it essential to use the right products. I am planning on doing a theme workshop with this set to teach you all the tips and tricks! Oh how I just LOVE this Wisteria Wishes set! If you like to see more examples that I have made with it, then click HERE!
