I love using Designer Series Paper for die cutting flowers. I cut the pretty wisteria from the Texture Chic Specialty Paper. The flowers were cut from the same piece that I used for the border. The variation in color is beautiful!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there! This is one of the cards I had my ladies make for my May stamp a stacks and they seemed to like it and it wasn't too hard to make at all! This is one of the new stamp sets in the 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog called Wisteria Wishes. They sure are beautiful! I'd love to have a wisteria tree, but I have a feeling it would be a lot of work and a huge mess when the flowers started to fall. This card would be a great card to thank someone with. I'm going to give some general instructions, but a complete tutorial is available for download at the bottom of this post. The card I'm sharing with you today is a fun-fold card using the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and the Wisteria Dies. This card folds in 1 7/8" at the top and bottom. The Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper, this beautiful Highland Heather design, was adhered to the top and bottom flaps. The wisteria was cut with the Wisteria Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstock. The die with the leaves was cut out of Garden Green cardstock. The beautiful Pastel Pearls were adhered in the opening between the top and bottom flaps. The Basic White piece behind the wisteria was embossed with the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder and lightly brushed with Smoky Slate ink. The sentiment and background pieces were punched with the Double Oval Punch and adhered with dimensionals in order for the corner of the Brick and Mortar piece to slip behind it to hold the card closed. On the inside at the top, the wisteria was stamped in Highland Heather then the detailed small stamp was stamped over the Highland Heather with Gorgeous Grape ink. The leaves were stamped with Garden Green ink. The wisteria vine was cut from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and adhered to the bottom inside. If you would like my tutorial, click on the box below. Also, links to my online store and to the supplies I used are below. I hope you like my card and will take a minute to vote here for my card. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. Welcome to Workshop Wednesday!! I am excited to share with you the projects I created last night on my YouTube Channel, youtube.com/Stampingala. If you missed the presentation, you can see the replay below. Every Wednesday evening, I create three projects for my followers. Last night, I inked up the Wisteria Wishes stamp set for the first time. The image in the first card is two step stamping. I stamped off the image first then stamped over top of the original image with the smaller stamp. The second card has layered die cuts both
These three cards were all made using the Wisteria Wishes stamp set and matching dies. They are coming out in the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog on May 3rd. I really like this bundle because there are 3 different ways to use this set. You can make the traditional Wisterias, you can make the cone flowers (not sure what exactly they are) and you can make Christmas trees with them. There isnt many stamp sets in my opinion that you can do that with. Also there are the dies you can make Wisterias out of with any stamping! I just saw yesterday somewhere on Pinterest where they had made a stand up card using the tree limbs multiple times so it looked really authentic and then had the Wisteria hanging across it. It was a really cool card. Lots of work tho, tons of die cutting. Which I love how die cuts look but sometimes even for me I think its too much. Sure, if you were only going to make one card its ok but I usually dont like to make one card because you get all your supplies out and have stuff everywhere and if you do that for one card everytime its like all you are doing is getting things out and putting them away. Also if you are doing classes its just too much! But anyway, I am doing a class with this set to show the three ways to use one stamp set. I think its really a cool idea. Happy Stamping! Wisterias hold a special place in my heart. I 'inherited' a wisteria when we moved into this house 24 years ago. It's one of the only remaining original plants in my garden, I've planted almost everything else in the garden since then. But the wisteria is gorgeous, and FUN FACT, it blooms every year for our son's birthday in late March!! When I saw the Wisteria Wishes bundle in the new Stampin' UP! catalog, I knew right away it would be on my first order AND I knew exactly what I was going to do.... die cut the flowers
I have been wanting to use this awesome new stamp bundle, Wisteria Wishes since I got it! I saw this fun fold using it, and just had to try it! It's called a "Tent Fold". We used to do these years ago with a cut-out frame and made it into a little standing picture frame. The idea came from demonstrator Laura Seki. The dimensional wisteria are done using Blending Brushes and 3 colors of ink and hanging in the cut opening. The leaves are just gorgeous. I blended just a little ink on those, too. I am sharing this card in a Shoebox Swap I'm participating in this weekend in the Ozarks. This is an in person event and I can't wait!! Measurements: Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 4" x 4 1/4" Basic White: 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" (Wisteria) Old Olive: scraps Very Vanilla: scrap To Make This Card: Fold Crumb Cake base in half. Cut Stitched Rectangle from "front". Take the rectangle that you cut out, and run it through the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Burnish Crumb Cake ink onto the "bricks" with a Blending Brush. Close card, and re-insert brick piece through the opening. Next, cut out 2 "branches" from Old Olive cardstock. Add a little Old Olive ink with a Blending Brush. Now, cut out 2 "sets" of Wisteria. (one is a little "heavier-looking", and one more "detailed") from Basic White cardstock. Carefully burnish the 3 shades of purple onto the White cardstock.I started with the lighter, Fresh Freesia, then the new Orchid Oasis, and lastly Gorgeous Grape ink. You can add more if you wish, but you are looking for shades! You could also do this on a scrap of White and then cut them out, but I preferred being able to place the colors where I wanted to right on the pieces themselves! Now, using a little Multipurpose Glue, adhere the detail "wisteria" to the "heavier" piece. I just adhered them together down the middle. Next, add one "Wisteria" to the front opening, overlapping a little on the left side, as shown. Attach the other "Wisteria" to the BACK with Mini Glue Dots (before you add the "stand". I made this one a little shorter. Next, add one branch to the front. Or, one and a half. And, then add the other half to the back. However you want to create the dimension!! Now, it's time to add the "stand". Take the 4"x4 1/4" piece and score at 1" - 2" - 3" along the 4" side. Create in an accordion fold. Adhere first "valley" fold to front cut edge of card. Lay card flat and attach the other "valley" fold to back cut edge of card. I used Tear n Tape to adhere this piece. Stamp sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink onto Vanilla scrap. Cut out with new, Stylish Shapes Banner Die. I added a little Crumb Cake ink to the tag to remove some of the "brightness". Finish with a double bow from Linen Thread. While scrolling through photos on my phone, I found a few projects that I haven't shared here on the blog. Featured today is Stampin' Up!'s "Wisteria Wishes" stamp set and coordinating "Wisteria" dies. I recently made these cards to send to the elder ladies . . . you know . . . the ones who actually keep every card that I send. I love that they consider mail from me to be that special, and that makes me want to send happy mail to them on a regular basis. Cardstock colors featured on my card include: Highland Heather Gorgeous Grape Mossy Meadow Sahara Sand White The sentiment is from the (retired) Special Moments stamp set, which was a Sale-a-Bration product earlier this year, I think. I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush to add a little sparkle to the wisteria as you can see in the photo below. And just look at all of that pretty embossed detail on the die-cut leafy branch: Decorating the inside of the card was really easy: Looking for a stamp set (and dies) that are so quick and easy to use? Consider "Wisteria Wishes"!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello there! I'm back today with the second project for this month's class. Part of the fun of this stamp set is the variety of flowers you can make. Even though the stamp set is called Wisteria Wishes, for today's card we are turning it upside down and making lilacs. It's a pretty simple card, allowing the flowers to take center stage. Hope you like it! I hope you have enjoyed today's post. If you decide to place an order through my website, if your order is less than $150, please use the Host Code listed above (on the right), so I can send you an extra free goody. If your order is over $150 don't use the code as you get to pick out the goody yourself when you place your order. Till next time... God's love and blessings!

I bet you'll remember THIS Wisteria CARD I created with my Wisteria Wishes bundle.. while I had it out, I decided to try something different and flip the floral images upside down and create a different type of flowers like Red Salvia, Lupine and Blue Bonnets!! Here is my bright and cheery Stampin' Up! Color Combo! I mixed both Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green for the stems, and used Orchid Oasis with Starry Sky for the blue flowers, and used Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade for the red flowers! The 'sending many thanks' label
