This is an attractive Smiths brass carriage clock produced to commemorate the RoyaI Wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981. It is a rare and collectable piece of royal memorabilia with a brass coloured clock face with enamel painted Prince of Wales feathers and the inscription 'The Marriage of The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer Wednesday 29th July 1981' at the base of the clock face. Also inscribed on the clock is 'Smiths'. Founded in 1851, Smiths were once the largest clock manufacturer in Europe. From their head office in Cricklewood, North London, they produced clocks for the home, workplace, aircraft and the motor industry. The clock has the original Smiths quartz movement fitted and is working (battery will be removed for shipping and not included). It is a substantial timepiece weighing 630 grammes and measuring 3" wide x 6" high x 2" deep. Some light wear and tarnish.

A beatiful cup crafted by Nanrich Pottery under the trade name Jason Works of Staffordshire, England to commemorate the royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer on 29th July, 1981. The cup features colour images of both Lady Diana and Prince Charles with a love heart-shaped scroll which reads “H.R.H. Prince Charles Lady Diana Spencer”. In addition to this, a banner below reads “to commemorate their marriage”. Above, a Welsh dragon as well as the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales - three white ostrich features in a coronet alongside the German “ich dien” or “I serve” - feature. The Lion and the Unicorn on either side of the design are symbolic of the United Kingdom. On a separate panel, the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales appears again. The handle is sculpted into an ornate shape and is adorned in gilt gold, as is the rim. The cup measures 4" tall and 4 1/4" across (including the handle). The cup is in great condition with no chips, cracks or sign of repair.
