Mining Equipment above Emerald Lake in the Trinity Alps Wilderness.

Sapphire Lake --- Trinity Alps Wilderness, California Trailhead -- Stuart Fork Distance --- 14.5 miles -- 23.3 km. (approx.) Elevation --- 5,885 feet -- 1793 meters Size ------ 43 acres Depth ----- 200 feet -- 60.9 meters * * Another shot taken from the "balcony" just below Mirror Lake. There's a waterfall (water from Mirror Lake) off to the left about 60 or so yards. For the most part, it's a hidden, secret waterfall -- at least difficult to get any close photos because the terrain is quite cliffy. I climbed down a little way and managed to get a few shots, though.
