Well I did it.. for the month of January I had committed to blogging almost every day. And the couple of days that I didn't, I made up for it by blogging twice on another day. So all up, I posted 33 times in January. I am really interested now to know what people think.. is it too much? Or do people like more constant updates? Feel free to comment below (or on my Business Facebook page) and let me know what you think. You can also "like" the Facebook page to see what else I get up to :-) Of course, part of the reason for the extra posting has been that there has been so much going on with new products and releases... and STILL I have managed to miss a few things... like the fact that the Clearance Rack has been updated with some new items at silly prices. Which is fantastic news for you girls that like a bargain. Visit my Online Store and then click "Clearance Rack" to see what's new. So today's project is something else new from our lovely new Occasions Catalogue that began last week. I am loving the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (DSP)... it is simply beautiful! In fact I thought this particular design was so beautiful that I didn't even want to add a lot of embellishment to it... just a sentiment seemed enough for this one. Here is the whole paper pack: But seriously, until you see it "in the flesh", you really cant appreciate how beautiful it is! The pack of twelve 12"x12" sheets, double-sided, is only $18.95. In particular these are lovely for Scrapbook pages as well as cards and other projects. Enjoy today's little card, and remember to check back here often for more ideas and projects. I also create a new technique or project video each week, so dont forget to look out for that. And remember to check out the Online store.. Online ordering is easy and no-fuss... straight to your door! Enjoy xx
Let me start off by saying I love the Designer Series Papers in the new Occasions Catalog!!! My card today features the Watercolor Wonder DSP. I usually horde my papers but I couldn't wait to use these papers once I opened the pack. The card base was made with island indigo card stock. Then I layered the Watercolor Wonder paper. I used the other side of the designer paper to punch the tiny hearts using the small heart punch. Banners are still so popular, why not a heart banner. The rhinestones held the hearts together. I also used the designer paper to die cut the frame for the "sentiment". The "sentiment" is from the Happy Watercolor stamp set. I didn't think I'd ever use that particular stamp but it went perfectly with the sentiment I stamped inside the card. The twine is from Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack, one of the 2014 Sell A Bration free items. Starting on January 28 until March 31st, every $50 purchase from Stampin'Up will get you one of the many free Sale A Bration products. Here's the inside. One thing I've never done before is to layer designer paper for the inside of my card which I did on this card after I stamped the sentiment from Really Good Greetings stamp set. Isn't that perfect with the sentiment on the front? I added blings on the two hearts after I took the picture. I can't wait to make another card. Stay tuned for more cards using one of my new favorite designer paper. And if you want to purchase any of the supplies and tools I used on this card, click HERE and start shopping. Thank you for stopping by today. Cheers!!! irene
Today's inspiration came from a card that was pinned from Constant Contact. The link had expired so I can not show you the original card...

I'm still fighting off this ridiculous coughing and headache. Of course the headache comes from the coughing, so it's a vicious cycle. It does feel a bit better though, just wiped out. Before I show you today's cards, I just want to put a little teaser out here that Stampin' Up! has some really great things in store for us as Demonstrators, which means we'll have great things in store for you, our customers. One of them will be my very favorite and it has to do with the Clear Photopolymer Stamps. As most of you know, I absolutely LOVE the Clear Photopoly stamps we have been working with and it sounds like there will be more in our future. I'm so very exited about this!! Now, on to the card. Here's a quick and easy card. I forget where I saw the idea for making these watercolor circles into balloons, but I believe it was on Frenchie's blog (Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie). Too many meds to think very clearly - lol. I just know I saw it and it was just so cute, I had to give it a try. My stamp room is a room divided. The lines have been drawn between current and retiring products, what is staying and what needs to go. I find myself using bits and pieces from both and going through the mental list...
I had the honor of attending SU's Red Carpet Premier in Raleigh, NC and I am now the proud owner of SU's 2014-15 catalog. Just wait until you see their new In-Colors, papers and stamp sets. Everything is gorgeous, and when you see the catalog, I know you'll say the same. Two of my favorites from the Spring Mini catalog is the Happy Watercolor stamp set and the Watercolor Wonder dsp. I am going to be sad to see them go on June 1, 2014. Though I used this very versatile set and paper for my April classes, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use them again for my May 2014 classes. Recipe: Stamps: Happy Watercolor, Petite Pairs; Paper: Whisper White, Calypso Coral card stock, and Watercolor Wonder DSP; Ink: Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Cantaloupe; Accessories: Big Shot, Deco Framelits, Square Lattice embossing folder, Banner Punch, Gold Foil, dimensionals. I hold adult classes each month, and a bi-monthly Kids Camp. If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know. Check out my May 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here If you would like to purchase any of the supplies to make this card, please feel free to contact me directly, or order from my Stampin Up! website found Here You, Lord are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Psalm 86:5 Thank you for stopping by, and have a great day, ~Linda
This is a quick post this morning as my to do list seems to be growing minute by minute! I never seem to have enough birthday cards ready ahead of time so I thought I would use the current CAS(e) this Sketch challenge to get a bit ahead. The colors were some that I had seen somewhere out and about shopping and had written down to be used on a card. Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. The flowers from Flower Patch were stamped and then cut out with the matching Flower Fair framelit. They are popped up with dimensionals along the edge of the subtle DSP pattern from the retired pack Watercolor Wonder. I used rhinestones on the flowers and along the cotton ribbon that highlights the sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes that was stamped in Smoky Slate ink. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Flower Patch, Endless Birthday Wishes Ink: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral Paper: Smoky Slate, Watercolor Wonder DSP (retired), Whisper White Accessories: Flower Fair framelits, rhinestones, corner rounder, cotton ribbon, dimensionals

Reserve your new 2014 Stampin' Up! Catalog Next Week!! ------------ Yep, I know... I am going to have serious withdrawals when this gorgeous Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper retires from the current Occasions catalog on June 1st.... so, in the mean...
Today it's Friday Favorites at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration. My current favorites are two items in the 2014 Occasions Catalog. With all of the excitement of retiring products and the new catalog coming out, the Occasions Catalog has been a little forgotten. There are quite a few sets and products you will see in the new catalog that will be carrying over from the Occasions Catalog, but there are also a lot that won't be available any longer after June 1st when the Occasions Catalog is over. One of those stamp sets we will have to say farewell to is Happy Watercolor ($21.95 clear mount / $29.95 wood mount). I definitely didn't get to play with this set enough. I think I'll hold onto it for awhile, though. It needs some more ink...even if it's just for personal use! Another product we have to say goodbye to is the Watercolor Wonder DSP. I have used this paper quite a bit since the mini catalog was released. In fact, I mostly just have scraps left! Now onto today's card... I started out with following a sketch, but then my card kind of took on a life of its own and the sketch was no longer to be seen! Have you had that happen before?! I wanted to zoom in on the flowers and butterflies to show off the tiny little pearls. So fun to accent a card with these! The butterfly is punched once with Daffodil Delight cardstock and then again with vellum and I "fluffed" the wings to look like it was flying. Stamp Sets Happy Watercolor Ink Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral Paper Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Vellum, Watercolor Wonder DSP Accessories SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pearl Accents, 1/4" Daffodli Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Tools Bitty Butterfly Punch To check out what the other designers have created for Friday Favorites, visit our blog!
Some days I feel like I need to join the circus….guess that is why that title came to mind for this blog post. 🙂 But on to this amazing card that is just so fun!!!! I used my super favorite Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (click here and here for more samples) and Perfect Pennants …
Wow, Pals Paper Arts is celebrating their 200th challenge! Go over and check out what the talented artists have come up with! I made birthday cards for my twin niece and nephew who are five this weekend. I used the sketch on Addison's card. Although she will like the card, I wasn't completely thrilled so I made another quick one for this easy sketch. I need so many birthday cards in May! I love the Watercolor Wonder designer paper! It's in the Occasions catalog which is only available until May 31. I cannot believe the Sycamore Street ribbon and buttons is in the clearance rack. Run, don't walk, and grab yourself a set or two. It's a great deal! You get three ribbon rolls and a bag of matching buttons. This ribbon works well for mailing. It's not too bulky! The clearance price is actually $5.59, not what is listed below. They have some nice deals on the clearance page. You should check it out before they're gone. Here is the one I made for Addison. She loves pink and purple. I used the Zoo Babies set (hope that isn't retiring!!) and the banner punch. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise. Anyway, I hope you like my card. Please leave me a comment as I love reading them! Stampin' Up! I use a lot of Stampin' Dimensionals. I use my Big Shot all the time. I couldn't make a card without adhesive. At the end of the day, though, it's Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper collections that excite me the most. When a new catalog is released, I just can't wait to

Did you choose your favorite card from yesterday? Well I have another set of cards for you to choose between. I'm so torn on these two though. I LOVE them both!!! I saw this card on Pintrest and made my own version of it. I love the colors of them both!!! I hope you're not tired of seeing Work Of Art stamp set. I know it's EVERYWHERE in blogland :) Let's get to the details of the cards. First is the Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss card. I'm not sure why I don't pull out Sahara Sand more I LOVE IT!!! I used the new Moonlight DSP stack for the DSP in the background. I love our DSP stacks but I think I would love them even more if they were in a 6x6 size. I love the size now, they're great for cards but I would love to use some of them for other purposes and need them to be slightly wider than 4.5. SU can you make one in 6x6?? Anyway back to the card. The flowers are done in the same Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss. I added candy dots to the center of them. We don't have candy dots for the Blackberry Bliss so I used Rich Razzleberry. It's not an exact match but it's close. Then we have the Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight version. The DSP used here is the Watercolor Wonder DSP. I love these two colors together. This is my favorite color combo with Daffodil Delight, which sometimes is such a bright yellow it's hard to use. The Smoky Slate dulls it down a little :) So which is your favorite? Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!
