En 2012, el arquitecto chino Wang Shu (nacido en 1964) recibió el reconocimiento máximo de la arquitectura, el Premio Pritzker. Por su cuenta, él habría compartido el premio con su esposa, Lu Wenyu. Juntos llevan casi 20 años dirigiendo Amateur Studio, con sede en Hangzhou, una de las potencias culturales de China.
