Is there anything better than walking down Main Street USA towards Cinderella's Castle and having a bunch of energetics folks dressed in turn of the century garb hop off a trolley and sing to you? I didn't think so.

I absolutely LOVE this sight. Just standing at the top of the train station looking down at all the hustle and bustle of Main St. Seeing families walking in and being completely amazed by the grandeur of the Magic Kingdom, and seeing the characters in full action, it all just brings a smile to my face. Somehow that walk always seems a little more enjoyable on the way in than on the way out, even if it is special on the way out for different reasons. This is a shot that would not have ever seen the light of day were my Individual Federal Income Tax class not so mind-numbingly boring. I figured I would challenge my editing abilities, and take a shot likely beyond repair and try to salvage it. I did an okay job, I think. The problems: blown highlights on the lights with the remainder of the image way underexposed (in my opinion, this is best shot bracketed), and distortion from the wide angle lens. The former I think I corrected. The latter, well, that's something I will have to work on more when I shoot even though I think most of the time (when I first used the UWA in August, I had no idea the difference between holding the camera level and tilting it up or down to introduce distortion...I guess we really are constantly learning) as I couldn't correct it satisfactorily for this post (plus, I am on the fence as to whether it might actually look better here with the slight slant to the Ice Cream Parlor). This is a "Walking' Right Down the Middle of Main Street U.S.A." paper piecing die cut title. It measures 6 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" tall. It is done in a fun Disney font and will look great on your Disney page! What better way to highlight those photos heading towards the castle?! The actual title and Mickey are situated on top of 3 more nested shadow cardstock pieces. The Mickey is also a paper piecing assembled prior to placement next to and under the title.
