Please be reminded that this is a digital download and not a physical product. Captured in this digital download is the valor and virtue of Saint Joan of Arc, with a gaze as piercing as the sword she never wielded in vain, and armor that gleams with the softness of the sky, this portrait embodies the strength and spirit of the iconic heroine. Available exclusively at Dfuse.art, this piece is a convergence of history and artistry, ready to inspire courage in every setting. It has a portrait orientation that suggests it would fit the following frame sizes well: 2x3, 6x9, 12x18, 16x24, and 20x30 inches, as these are common for a 3:2 ratio. The painting's soft pastels and armor tones can influence an interior with a touch of historical elegance. The subtle blues and warm golds are perfect for creating a sophisticated atmosphere in a study or library. Additionally, this inspirational artwork is suited for environments that celebrate strong historical figures, such as educational institutions or motivational settings.
Arc en Ciel is a welcome addition to the Wendy Morrison family and is the result of living with a global pandemic. Wendy’s love of and need for colour shine through in this vibrant design, which is bright, beautiful and tells a joyful story of hope. Designed during lockdown, the hand-knotted wool and silk rug is brimming with hope, positivity and optimism. The vibrant shades are as uplifting as it is possible to be. There is also a lovely story of inspiration behind this rainbow rug, bringing together two of Wendy’s passions - Japanese dress, particularly the kimono, and the power of colour.

Medium: Antique Print Artist: Thomas Allom Writer: William Beattie, M.D. Engraved By: Robert Wallis From: Scotland Illustrated in a Series of Views Taken Expressly for this Work, 1838 Publisher: Virtue and Co., Limited Size: 8 1/2 x 12 3/4 Description: Antique print; pristine steel engravings; page tipped-in color. Photographed on a black background. Printed five years after Andrew Jackson took the oath of office as president for the second time. Thomas Allom (1804-1872) was an English architect, artist, and topographical illustrator. He was a founding member of what became the Royal Institute of British Architects. He designed many buildings in London, including the Church of St. Peters’ and part of the elegant Ladbroke Estate in Notting Hill. He also worked with Sir Charles Barry on numerous projects, mostly notably the Houses of Parliament. Steel Engraving is a technique for printing illustrations based on steel, rather than copper. It is the practice of incising a design onto steel by cutting grooves into it. An impression is created on the steel plate, which is then filled with opaque ink. When paper is pressed into the plate, it creates raised and colored areas. It has been rarely used in artistic printmaking, although it was often used for reproductions in the 19th century. The most reliable way of distinguishing between unfaced copper engraving and steel or steel-faced engraving is the “lightness and delicacy of the pale lines” in the latter.
