Trying out the Royal Tanning Balm! I really miss my Bain de Soleil and I'm hoping that this will be a solid replacement. Planning out my trips for the year. I'm so excited that another cousin of mine got engaged! I'm looking forward to all of the fun weddings but it is going to take some serious planning and budgeting. Continuing to meal prep for next week! It's amazing what a week of packed lunches will do for both my wallet and my waist line. I've been struggling with post-holiday weight loss but I think I made a breakthrough this week and it has me motivated to keep going. Browsing different neighborhoods again! I'm still very much in the early stages of my home journey, but I really need to focus on neighborhoods I like and where I envision myself. I know it will all happen in time, but I do need to stay focused and make sure things are moving in the right direction. Celebrating that it's Friday! Yesterday I died a little inside when I realized it was only Thursday. I'm really into the TGIF mood this week and can't wait to cheers the weekend! Serious TGIF mode, ARS xx F O L L O W
Enjoying the Irish Arts Center's Virtual Spirit of Ireland Gala. I absolutely adore the IAC and fully recommend you purchase a ticket and enjoy the show! It's something fun to do this weekend with you family and helps support such a special cause. Hoping we don't go back into a full lockdown again. I'm nervous because Cuomo decided to shut down restaurants again. It's a major source of anxiety for almost everyone I know. I'm praying we don't go back to that again. Scrambling to get last minute gifts for my family that fits into my budget. I definitely got a bit of a head start but wish I could have planned a bit more ahead. I made one of my 2021 Sinking Fund categories "Christmas" so hopefully next year will be a bit more organized. Searching for fun and festive, but still delicious, holiday recipes to try this year! Because we won't have our usual crew it might be a fun year to try out a new recipe or two and maybe brighten up the holidays. I may also be motivated to reach my cook 25 new recipes goal on my 101 in 1001 list. Any suggestions or ideas? Mailing out my Christmas cards. I'm way behind the curve this year, but I'm determined to still get my cards out this year! I'm going to have to whittle down my list, as I don't have the room in my budget to buy new cards, so I'm taking stock of what I have and am going from there. Better late than never this Friday, right? ARSxx S U B S C R I B E
When I think of Blackberry Farm I think of my Dad and Billy Reid of all things. It's a place I've longing to go to for what seems like forever (but in reality has probably been about 5 years or so). Given the state of the world right now, I have a feeling I'll be traveling the US a lot more and my dream trip is Blackberry Farm. My Dad and I have been talking about going for years and when we dropped my brother off at school, I thought we'd be making a weekend stop to the farm, but it didn't work out. I didn't think I would love Tennessee, but I felt at home in Nashville, fell in love with the mountains near my brother's school, and have a pretty good feeling Blackberry Farm will knock it out of the park. How can I not love a place with so many fabulous activities, a full roster of events, a beautiful setting, and award-winning food? One of the biggest draws to the farm is the world renowned food! With three different restaurants for guests to choose from, there is something for everyone. I love that they focus on local cuisine and even have their own brewery. I bought my Dad the Blackberry Farm cookbooks one year, to give us a taste until we can go visit the farm ourselves. Although most famous for their food (at least in my friend group) I can't help but be most tempted by all of the different retreats and activities they offer. From yoga, to hikes, to horseback riding there is something for everyone to do. There are even daily cooking demonstrations, photography lessons, and a "Spring Tour de Smokies". Looking at all of the different events they have planned this year has me longing for my own Blackberry Farm adventure. While I still have yet to book a trip (will take awhile to save up!) it doesn't stop me from browsing their well curated store. I am so eager to try a few different products out, I may just need to order a few products from their shower collection to tide me over until I get to visit the farm itself. I love the idea of creating a spa experience at home, but they even have gourmet goodies you can order to your home! It's always hard to plan outfits until I get to the destination (or know the season) but I know I'd want to go with a pretty casual attire overall. Think: jeans, button downs, clothing for hiking and yoga, and boots in case of bad weather. If I'm being honest, casual is not a look that is natural to me but if this year has taught me anything it's the importance of comfort and I'd probably want all of my bases covered here. Where's your mind wandering this week? ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Treating myself to a Mystery Cookbook Box from a bookstore in my hometown. I love cooking and have been expanding my kitchen skills. This will be the perfect way to entertain myself this summer! NowI just need to find someone to cook for... Celebrating my 32nd birthday! I can't believe it's already June. It feels like I've been living in a time capsule or something. I'm excited to be out on Long Island, hopefully getting some sun and relaxation in. I guess I'll also share this weekend with my Dad for Father's Day. Trying our a pound cake recipe. This is a treat that will forever remind me of visiting my Grandparents and I would love to make my own version of it. I'm going between Martha Stewart's recipe and this one that I found online. Catching up on all of the gifts I owe my friends and family. Over the course of this pandemic I've missed birthdays, births, house warmings, baby showers, and even a few weddings. Needless to say, I have a lot of gift giving to do. Jumping for joy that I can get my haircut and do some other maintenance again. As of next week New York will be in Phase 2, which means I can finally catch up on all that is lacking. To be honest, I really do love my long hair, but it's looking ragged and needs some sprucing up. I'm so ready to sort of get back to a normal look. TGIF, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Continuing on my health kick! I'm thrilled that I'm slowly and surely dropping pounds, so I'm going to continue with what I'm doing and know that Rome wasn't built in a day. Searching for chic tops to wear. I live in dresses at work, but I'm in need of great tops so I don't get sick of all my dresses. Catching up on all of my chores and errands. This will involve cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking for the week ahead. I implemented a no-spend week this week and am going to try to continue that trend next week. Cozying up inside this weekend! We are supposed to be getting a cold front this weekend, so you can bet that I'll be in my sweaters, under a blanket reading on the couch. Playing with flowers and orchids! I love playing with flowers and Florida does not disappoint. Maybe I'll pick up some extra flowers and orchids this weekend to continue exploring! ARS xx F O L L O W
After being away from the city for so long it feels great to be back. I love country living, but I missed having a space that was my own. The only downside to current city life is that everything is still closed. Whenever I speak to my neighbors and the businesses that are open for pickup only we all talk about how frustrated we are. We have done what was asked of us and everyone wants to move from our current normal to the next phase in a safe and responsible way. Everyone knows it will take awhile to get back to the pre-coronavirus lifestyle, but we all miss the hustle and bustle of New York and are concerned for the businesses that can't sustain this lockdown any further and for our neighbors who are not in great living situations or may need our help. I've been looking for inspiration for summer and keep being drawn to calming color palates and easy breezy pictures, so below I'm rounding up a few of my favorites. Happy Wednesday! I come from a family of last minute planners, but if there is one thing we always plan on, it's travelling to Greece in August. It's so beautiful on the island that we make a point of making time to go and completely unwind. There is something so charming about the lack of internet and phones, sporadic power outages and nowhere to be (emphasis on nowhere to be - there is nothing better). Here are a few snaps from my instagram to give you an idea of life on Chios... Would anyone be interesting in a guide to Chios? ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Trying to get over the news Inslee Farris won't be doing the agenda for Neely and Chloe this year. After Kate Spade stopped producing the adorable artist ones it took years to find a replacement - only for that to disappear as well. Waiting for the last season of Lucifer to come out on Netflix! I have mixed feelings about it being the last season, but nevertheless I'm excited for it all the same. Taking advantage of the Labor Day sales to stock up all the things I've been meaning to purchase. I completely blew my budget this summer but I am being gentle on myself and preparing for a very frugal fall/winter to get me back on track and set to finish my 101 in 1001 list's emergency fund goal. Continuing to organize my apartment. It looks like I am going to resign my lease again, as the apartment search has been unsuccessful so far. Staying in my apartment means I need to organize and edit down a good amount. It's definitely needed and a good project for the fall. Working on myself and getting back to "me". I touched briefly on it in previous posts, but somewhere along the line I feel like I lost the plot in my life. I've slowly but surely been getting back to myself and my roots but it's been a journey and I'm still feeling a bit lost. I know I'll eventually find myself again but it's definitely been a journey. Bonne Weekend! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Signing up for Yoga With Adriene's 30 Day Yoga Journey. This is one of my favorite ways to start the year. 30 Days of Yoga combined with my Manifestation journey will set me up for what I know will be a year of success. Even better? This year's theme is Center. Planning all of my holiday outfits out! This week was extra busy for me and the holiday season is just getting started. I have some great outfits to get me through the season, but I'm always looking for chic inspiration! Dreaming of owning a chic white bike. I have a fabulous black cruiser in New York and while I would love to bring it down to PB I think a white one makes more sense for down here and save the black one for when I'm in NY. Pulling inspiration for my dream house. I know everything will change once I buy my place, but I can't help but want to look at interior inspiration! Testing out a few crock-pot recipes this weekend! I have big plans for the weekend which mainly involves relaxing and Netflix, but I'm also desperate to catch up on my cooking. It will save me a ton of money and hopefully help me manage my weight gain. Bon weekend, ARS xx F O L L O W
Cozying up at home this week. As the weather has begun to take a colder turn, I've been craving nights in so am indulging in myself. The unrest surrounding the election made my choice to hunker down a no-brainer. Loving my new bedding! I made a quick, game time (and budget friendly) decision about my backup bedding and I have no regrets. It's a pretty print that brings a new color into my apartment! While it's not very "winter" it still has a bit more visual weight to it than my other duvet. Taking Create Academy's Rita Konig course I talked about a few weeks ago. I finally bit the bullet and bought myself the class. Between writing about the class, reading Stephanie Hill's blog post about it, and seeing it on my 101 in 1001 list every day it seems like the universe was telling me to finally take the damn class. It was a major splurge and I'll review it once I finish the course, but so far I really like it! I can't check it off my list just yet, but I'm thinking I'll be able to check it off sooner rather than later. Crossing off Vote in 2020 Election off my 101 in 1001 list! I was really happy I voted early because I started the day off excited, not anxious! My anxiety did take off as the day went on (and is still alive and well as of this minute), but starting my day off on a positive note was a win. Putting together a Christmas decoration plan! Before I know it the holidays will be right around the corner and I'm trying to get a head start on things. I'm thinking of ordering some new Christmas decorations for the first time, maybe ever! Admittedly my apartment has never been too festive and decorations are mostly comprised of inherited leftovers, but now that I'm home for the foreseeable future I think it would be fun to decorate and enjoy the season! Take it easy, it's Friday! ARSxx S U B S C R I B E
I'm the first one to admit I loooooove a good stationary find and the Charlotte Olympia collaboration with paperless post is a fantastic digital alternative (although you can have them printed too!). There are 7 different cards in the collection, each is named after a day of the week. Each design is fun, colorful and whimsical - certain to get your guests into the party mood! I think my favorite part of the collection is the leopard tail on the lining of the envelope. Check out the whole collection here and maybe you'll be inspired for your next fete! Happy Monday! It's no secret I'm a natural homebody. Over the past few years I've really embraced staying home and now that I'm required to travel again I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm going from zero travel to about 10 trips in a 6 month span. Unfortunately almost all of the events and travel fell into my lap last week and I finally lost it. I have multiple weddings (two of them are overseas), major birthdays, and graduations to fit into a tight schedule and I'm overwhelmed budget-wise and energy-wise already. I know I can't do it all or make everyone happy which is killing the people-pleaser in me, but it's just a fact. This week I'll be taking a hard look at what is realistic and feasible. Below are a few pins inspiring me to control the controllables and take charge of the next few months! Taking a deep breath this week, ARS xx F O L L O W
Halloween this year will certainly look very different than it did in years past. Despite all that is going on, I would love to celebrate to holiday the best I can. I'm thinking it would be so fun to have two or three friends over to catch up over wine, candy, and a spooky-ish movie or two. It's a fun way to safely celebrate Halloween. Below is a roundup of inspiration for my potential Halloween mini party! To set the tone I would love to paint and mail out my invitations. (Does that count towards my 50 handwritten notes goal on my 101 in 1001 list?) It may make more sense to just send out a paperless post invite, but definitely wouldn't be as fun. Above is some inspiration I found from Happy Menocal. In addition to the standard snacking food, I would love to have bowls of different candy as a dessert treat to bring back that "trick or treat" feel. I love a good theme party and Halloween is the best time to get everyone on board as well. While I think it would be fun to dress up as your favorite New York movie character, I wouldn't enforce it. One of my favorite things to plan for each party is the decor. It really sets the mood and it's so fun to put together. For this event I'm envisioning candles, seasonal flowers, and something to add a bit of drama. On hand would be a few movies. Hocus Pocus would be my first choice and maybe Practical Magic? I'm also on board with Ghostbusters, Casper, The Addams Family or maybe just watching the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. I could also get behind some festive crafts or pumpkin carving, but it would definitely depend on the crowd. Tis the season for being extra spooky! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
The other day I was making fun of my Mom for her outrageous outfits from her past - she worked at Bergdorfs in the 80s and has the collection to prove it. She was quick to remind me that I too have a problem when it comes to buying, but mine is art and antiques (and finding storage space for my collection). Frankly, I think this is way more practical and it something I can use for future homes, but what to I know? Needless to say, when I was scrolling through instagram and spotted these darling seascape miniatures I had to have one. Lucky for me, I discovered Marie Edith Crosta's fabulous instagram right around Christmas and my sister surprised me with one as my gift! When I began researching the artist, I didn't find too much about her, but what I learned made her even more interesting to me. You can read one of the interviews that I found here. She is a London based French artist that is extremely detail oriented and also has a passion for antiques and interior styling. She has quite the eye and I'm hoping to collect more of her works in the future. It's a new dream of mine to have a wall of her art in my home and maybe even own a larger work in the future! What do you collect? ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
I couldn't have thought of a more apropos post this week if I had tried. Sharing the first of my 6 month check ins for my 101 in 1001 list is perfect timing because while I don't really do New Year Resolutions, I do like to have a measurable goal for the year. This time around I just happened to decide to overachieve during lockdown and commit to a 101 in 1001 list. The 101 in 1001 list is definitely measurable and I've already made some great progress. I wish I checked a few more things off my list, but that just means I'll have to work extra hard to catch up the next few months. Without further ado, here is my first progress report: Completed: Mary Kirk Kelly: I'm thrilled that I have acquired four new pieces of hers in almost one fell swoop. I already shared why I love this artist's work so much - it's just so warm and friendly to me, but unfortunately is hard to find in New York. When you hold her work you can feel the love this artist had for each piece she created. I was lucky to see a consignment shop in Locust Valley had a few of her pieces and acquired most of them! Philanthropy Blog Series: I started my new Philanthropy series back in September, highlighting the Augusta Training Shop. Since then I also featured the Helping Hands Rescue Mission, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, highlighted Giving Tuesday and talked about The Barstool Fund. So far I'm really enjoying sharing why different charities mean so much to me and why you should also consider donating to them as well. I've talked about 5 charities to date and have a long list to work my way through! Fix Hayloft Mirror: I was so excited when I bought a gilt wood mirror through Hayloft, a favorite small business of mine. It was a great price and exactly what I had in mind for the entrance area to my apartment. The only problem was that it was a little unstable and needed to be tightened up and fixed. Lucky for me I have a few very handy friends who were more than willing to help! Vote in 2020 Election: I love election year and being able to exercise my right to vote! This year was a really strange one, but I'm always happy to preform my civic duty. Rita Konig's Create Academy Class: This can be filed under "splurge" in my budget, but I have absolutely no regrets. When I first learned about Create Academy I was so excited! I love interior design and this course touched upon a few different elements I don't really know much about (i.e. budgeting)! While some things I already knew (#auctiongirl over here) there was a lot of learning to be done so I highly recommend. Create Sinking Fund List: It took some time, but I came up with three sinking funds I wanted to create for 2021 to help me reach a few goals. I'm going to be seriously adjusting my life to make this happen, but I know what I want to focus on in the next year and that is making a plan for Christmas, adopting a dog, and making some headway on this 101 in 1001 list. Make a 2021 Vision Board: I decided to do a digital vision board that could be printed, mainly to save my precious magazines. Increase 401k Contribution: I decided to slightly increase my 401k contribution this year. While it's just a small increase, I'm still happy to be able to make any contribution to my 401k this year. Once I finish saving up for a 6 month emergency fund I know I'll be able to contribute significantly more but in the meantime I'm a bit tapped out. Ordering and Updating Address Book: Nothing reminds you more of a need for tracking addresses than the holiday season! This year I missed the boat on mailing out addresses but I'm thrilled I was able to order a chic address book after Christmas from Smythson. I started updating the list but need to reach out to a few friends that I lost track of. In progress: Emergency Fund: As of today I'm two and a half months down and have four more to go! Coloring the first jar in it's entirety never felt so good and the second one felt even better. I'm eager to keep rolling out my progress and hope to be done sooner than my estimated 2 year timeline. This goal is probably one of my most ambitious and important goals on the list, so I'm excited to be making some serious headway! Cook 25 New Recipes: It almost feels like cheating, but I'm almost done with my 25 new recipes already, mainly because of my Martha + Marley Spoon subscription. I truly love this meal box service (and not just because Martha Stewart is involved). I've been able to expand my cooking skills, save money on takeout, and significantly reduce my food waste. All around I would say this was a win and I liked almost every single recipe I've tried so far! Handwritten Notes: Towards the end of the summer I spent a lot of time writing notes to friends and family. A few wrote back and while most did not that won't stop me from continuing on my handwritten note journey. I have a lot of chic stationary and good friends to write to, so stay tuned for more letters! Trying Out 10 New to Me Restaurants: I'm excited to have tried out a new restaurant this year, despite the pandemic! While I'm sure this goal will take some time to work through, given the time of year and the second wave we are currently experiencing, I'm eager to continue on supporting restaurants when they need it the most. Putting $5 in Jar for Each Goal Completed: I admittedly am always a bit delayed on this one, but it could be worse! Right now I'm current, but I think I might do a monthly "deposit" into a savings jar instead. Stay tuned. 6 Month Progress Report: This is my first of a few, but I'm happy to report that I am actually sticking to the plan and crossing items off my list faster than I ever imagined! Next Up: Working on goals that are home-based and local to NY! I'm spending more time than ever at home so I really want to focus on what I can do to make it more cozy and also do my best to support my city. I also want to cross a few things off on the professional section of my list! There are a lot of updates that need to happen and this winter is the perfect time to get it done. As you can see I'm excited for what lies down the road and already looking forward to my next check in! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
My birthday week is finally here and for some reason I can't wrap my head around turning 35. I'm sure it has something to do with the pandemic, but it feels like I just celebrated turning 30! This milestone birthday is hitting much differently than 30 did. Where 30 felt very anticlimactic, 35 snuck up on me and I'd be lying if I said I was ready. Despite my mixed emotions I believe that I can shift my mindset and make it my year. Below are a few pins inspiring me this week, as I reflect and plan for the next year. Big week ahead, ARS xx F O L L O W
Attending The Palm Beach Show. It's always such a treat to go to an antique show to see what the dealers have on view - especially beautiful paintings and jewelry! If you need me I'll be there all weekend. Admiring Charles Spada's work! While interior design isn't my strongest suit, I still admire great work and I'm in love with the Charles Spada's charm. Treating myself this weekend! I don't know what I'm treating myself to, but I'm thinking a yummy meal or maybe a mani/pedi. Resting up for the weeks ahead! I'm going to be so busy for the next six weeks or so that I'm tired just thinking about it. Is it summer yet? Running in the Race of Hope! I'm proud to be a Hope for Depression committee member and will be running in the race with my colleagues. I'll report back on how I do. TGIF, ARS xx F O L L O W

Celebrating my birthday with family and friends tomorrow! I haven't had a true birthday celebration in so long that I'm almost nevus for tomorrow. Dreaming of a weekend escape that isn't Long Island. I really am eager to make it to Palm Beach a few times this summer but would also love to go somewhere I haven't really been before. Wishing it made more sense to redecorate my apartment. There are some thing I love about my apartment, but there are definitely a few things I would change. It's hard to justify buying new things right now, because I am hoping to buy an apartment and it makes more sense to wait until that happens. Hoping to get my hands on one of the Brock Collection for H&M pieces. I didn't really know this was taking place and I usually don't go for things like this, but there is something that is drawing me in this time around. Cutting this post short - have a good weekend! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
My colleague loves to use the gardening phrase "sleep, creep, then leap" when talking about strategy and this really feels like an apt description for my thirties. When I turned 32 we were in the early stages of the pandemic and I was in sleep mode for a full year. I went back to the basics and rediscovered the joy small things can bring. Last weekend I was reflecting on the past year and I came to the conclusion that in a way I creeped through 33. The second half of last year felt like a test and I realized that at the end of the day I have the confidence and strength to quietly, yet firmly stand up for myself. There is something so powerful about standing up for what you believe in. I know 34 is going to be all about leaping, growing and branching out. After a rollercoaster of a year, I hope this year will be all about positive changes and celebrating who I am. I'm being very honest when I say I'm excited for the year ahead and for all that it's set to bring! Cheers to leveling up, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Craving fall weather! I didn't think I would miss the cool weather at all, but there is something special about the cool crisp air in the Northeast. In the meantime I'll be listening to my favorite playlist on youtube to get me into the fall mood. Shopping for fall neutrals and cozy knits! I am sick of the long dresses that are in style right now and while I love the few I have, I am looking for shorter dresses and cozy knits. Obsessing over the Madeline Wenrib X Good Earth collab to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the reimagined Islamic wing of the Met Museum. Times like this make me wish I still lived in the city and could pop over to check in out in person. Watching Trooper for the weekend! Poor Trooper is really missing Mom and Dad this week and definitely is acting out, but I'm looking forward to quality time with him. Trying a new recipe this weekend! I miss kibbeh balls and I found this recipe that looks close to my grandma's recipe. TGIF, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
The countdown is on for me to get back into fighting shape. I'm about halfway to where I want to be and I know I can get fully back to my pre-pandemic self before Ian's wedding! The next month will be all about me focusing on my health and righting all of the wrongs I've done to my body. As a bonus, I'm kicking this off right before summer begins! Below is a rough breakdown of my plan and what I'll be doing. Fitness: I like a mix of streaming, cardio, and live classes. My go to streaming apps/websites are Yoga with Adrienne and the Sculpt Society! I admit I'm not a big cardio girl, but I can certainly manage a 45 minute walk around my neighborhood and this month I'm going to make it to the gym. While there I'll probably take advantage of their live classes, specifically the hot yoga one, and I'm going to continue my reformer pilates. Reformer pilates has changed my relationship with fitness for the better and I'm not giving it up if I don't have to. Diet: I admit my diet has been in shambles since my parents came down to Florida, but now that they are gone I can focus on cooking healthy meals and really focus on meal prepping. I'll be cooking lots of fresh lunches and dinners, and will be intentional about what is in the fridge. There will be lots of fresh fruit, veggies, and lean proteins - all with a focus on an anti-inflammatory diet. I may even try to incorporate a food cleanse or partial cleanse to help jump start it! Wellness: I would be remiss in mentioning that a major part of my month of health will involve meditation and self reflection. I'm going to take the time to focus on myself and incorporate meditations, baths, and journaling into my day to day life. What are you doing this month? ARS xx F O L L O W
Watching Private Practice on Netflix! I actually like this show a lot more than Grey's Anatomy and it's been a great show to watch post-work. I love being able to unwind and watch some dramatic tv. Listening to a Piano Covers playlist on Spotify. I love listening to piano and classical music when home (yes, I know I'm in the minority here) and this has been a really fun one to listen to. Enjoying my weekly game nights with my cousins. It's been so nice to have my cousin's back in the city and having some sort of a social life again. Getting back into a healthier routine. If I'm being honest I really let self care fall by the wayside and I'm ready to get back on track. I've already made a few tweaks (think quick workouts and more salads) but I know some more radical changes need to take place. Dreaming of warmer weather! As the days go on I really am dreaming of how I can feasibly get down to Palm Beach without it impacting work. In the meantime, I'll just dream about warmer weather overall. I feel like I missed the boat on enjoying last summer but I'm more than ready for this one. TGIF, ARSxx S U B S C R I B E
Reading Dave Ramsey's tips for setting goals for 2021 and signing up for the Ramsey Reset, a livestream taking place on January 12th. While I don't typically partake in resolutions, I did commit to my first 101 in 1001 list back in August. There are a bunch of measurable goals on the list and I absolutely intend to check most of them off and I know Dave Ramsey and his team will have inspiration galore. Wishing I had the immediate funds to buy the Molly Moorkamp dress I've been dying for the past few seasons. It went on sale last week for 40% off, but even with that kind of a discount I couldn't afford it. The current focus of my financial journey is building a 6 month emergency fund, so until that is done I don't really have room in the budget to make major splurge purchases. I'm proud of myself for saying no, but also a bit sad because it's something I've wanted to buy for SO long. Progress! Subscribing to a few different magazines I regularly buy! This actually made my 101 in 1001 list for a few reasons, but the two biggest motivators were that subscriptions are more budget friendly and if there is another lockdown, I'll still be able to have easy access to my favorite magazines. Looking for possible side hustles that are realistic for my schedule. I don't have much of a social life these days and I think having a side hustle with some income would be a great way to spend my time right now, as I'm definitely feeling the budget crunch now more than ever. This article has some great ideas and inspiration for all of us to think about! Dreaming about Palm Beach. I really missed my annual New Year trip this time around and am hoping to get back down this year for a bit more of an extended stay so I can catch up with friends, explore the new places on my list and relax in the sun. Hopefully I can make this happen sooner rather than later. Week one is done! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
I've been really good about sticking to my fitness and meditation routine, which is major for me. Historically I've been known to fall off the wagon after a couple of weeks, but I'm feeling extra motivated to stay on track this year. With multiple family weddings and trips planned I need to stay focused and on track if I intend to get back to my fighting weight and stay there. Investing in my workouts has helped with keeping me motivated and seeing results. That being said, sometimes I just need a bit more to get me in the mood to work out. Workout clothes are so pricy these days and are a major splurge for me. My older workout clothes are starting to show their wear and tear so there is a real need to upgrade my outfits. That being said, I've been playing around with different colors instead of my normal black and white looks and have been having fun! I really love Alo Yoga, Athleta, and AllAccess. Having a great playlist is always a game changer, especially when it comes to workouts. I've spent a lot of time curating different playlists and I need to make a workout one so I'm not frantically hitting next as much as I do. I don't know about you, but I always feel like I may fall over when I'm distracted during my cardio. I've been doing pilates reformer research. I don't see myself giving up on my classes any time soon, but once I get my own house I would love to get one of my own. I'm so pleasantly surprised that I love this workout as much as I do and I'd love to spend more time playing around on one! Slow and steady will win this race, ARS xx F O L L O W
When my "to read" list gets overwhelming, I love creating a roundup of what I want to order, preorder, and reread! It centers me, keeps me focused and gives me something to look forward to. As an avid reader, this happens often and occasionally I share my top 10 lists with you all! My own personal theme of this week is being overwhelmed (not my choice) so in line with how I'm feeling I'm sharing my latest roundup of books that are on my radar! Below are a few books that are on my to order, read, and re-read list! Summer is the best time of year for my wardrobe. While I love the luxurious and cozy fabrics the winter season calls for, nothing beats the happy, airy fabrics of summer. I've been trying to update my my apartment and wardrobe to reflect a more adult "me" and saw Coco Shop featured on Amanda Lindroth's website. They are an Antigua based brand with a chic summer aesthetic that I would love to have in my closet. It's a major struggle to hold myself from treating myself to this floral tiered dress or this amazing skirt, but I'm staying strong (for now). Below are a few pieces from the collection that caught my eye that maybe I'll splurge on in the future. This week has completely flown by - am I right? ARS xx S U B S C R I B E

I just about passed out from excitement when I saw Mimi Robert's still life paintings at the David Brooker Fine Art booth at The Palm Beach fair. She is an extremely talented British artist who specializes in still life paintings of shells, fruits & veggies, and other food subjects. I can't get enough of her work and while I was initially dazzled by the jewelry, I couldn't stop dreaming of these paintings. I have a special place in my heart for Old Master's and her art has an Old Master painting feel. Below are a few paintings I loved and will be dreaming of until further notice. ARS xx F O L L O W
Signing up for ebates! As I've mentioned many times, I'm looking to cut back on spending in addition to saving money where I can. As I've researched different ways to cut costs I've found a few articles highlighting ways to bring back in some of the money you're spending. Ebates is a website where you can get a percentage of your cash back through either paypal or a check. I just signed up so I don't feel fair reviewing it, but I love the idea of it and have read many other rave reviews. Interested? You can learn more about it and sign up here! (Full disclosure: I may get referral credit if you sign up and make a purchase!) Reading up a storm. It's been awhile since I picked up an actual book but I have a massive backlog of books to be read and with the move coming up, now is the time! Updating my privacy setting on my iPhone after reading this article about how Instagram is listening to us. Isn't that so creepy to think about? Following Hurricane Irma this week and praying for everyone in it's path! As I've mentioned in previous posts and shown on instagram, my parents have a getaway place down there and luckily they are safe in NY, but I am worried about our neighbors and the friends we have made down there. I'll be saying an extra prayer for anyone affected by the hurricane and hope you will too! Ordering Christmas gifts already! I hate scrambling for gifts and every year it feels frantic. This year I'm planning early so no one is forgotten and I don't stretch my budget (too much). TGIF! ARSxx S U B S C R I B E
"You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." - Zig Ziglar I've been branching out of my normal realm and decided to sign up for a few classes and virtual conferences. I'm stuck in a rut and am desperate to snap out of it. If there is anything I have taken away from these highly successful and motivated people it's the importance of creating a plan and sticking to it. I'll be the first to admit that I tend to lost motivation quickly, but if I want to get anywhere close to where I want to be in my life I need to come up with a plan and stick to it. The next few weeks will be about coming up with a plan for a few personal goals and I'm excited for it. Shifting my mindset, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E

Using my Inslee day planner consistently for the first time in a long time. My first agenda I was in love with was a Kate Spade one. My Dad got it for me at the Kate spade outlet over 10 years ago and I loved the illustrations and notes sprinkled throughout that I became a devotee. When the company retired their artist collaborations I was at a bit of a loss and fell off the agenda wagon. I'm back with the Inslee X Neely and Chloe one and while it's a bit...large I am so excited to use it. Meditating at the end of each night. I used to go to a guided meditation class once a week at Naturopathica and it really changed my life and put me in such a positive head space. I'm trying to get back to that place and found that ending the day with meditation is really helping. Body scans are my favorite, but there are so many great options out there! Hoping to make it out to Long Island soon. I haven't been home in three months, which feels like forever. I'm eager to see my parents and there are a few things at the house I'd love to bring into the city. Planning another no spend weekend! Last weekend was my first attempt and it went really well overall. I realize the only rule breaker I had was the grocery store, but I'm ok with that one - I need to eat and meal prep for the week and Sunday is the best day to do that. Visiting with my good friend Dana! I haven't seen her since Christmas so I'm excited to finally catch up in person. Now that the weather is nicer, it will be easier to catch up with friends in person. We're planning to go for a walk on Sunday, weather permitting! Hoping for a calm weekend! ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Visiting my family out on Long Island and plotting ways to steal my Nanny's dog, Pinky! How adorable is he? I guess the bridal shower and communion party are an added bonus.... Taking notes from the article How to Plan the Perfect Party. I saw this on Moda Operandi the other day and loved all of the tips and tricks listed. A few I use already, but it's always interesting to read what other hostesses do to prepare and plan for a party. (I particularly loved her stance on keeping flowers wild and buying in 6) Obsessing over everything happening at Bergdorfs right now. From Linda's store to the art show to the Putnam and Putnam outpost, Bergdrofs feels even more like home more now than ever. If you need an excuse to pop in, there are a ton right now. Kicking myself for not preordering the Rebecca de Ravenel Ming Shirt on Moda Operandi. As I've mentioned before, I'm trying to edit my wardrobe and pare things back. The shirt would have been a great addition to my wardrobe especially during the transitional months. Oh well, c'est la vie! Living in my new India Amory robes! I wrote about my love for the brand awhile back, but went to a recent pop-up and fell in love all over again. If you need a good gift, this is a great option! Happy weekend! TGIF, am I right? My book order and pre-order list is getting longer and longer as the weeks go on, but there are three books I'm eager to buy ASAP. I'm clearly in home inspiration mode and am ready to decorate, cook and host parties. That being said, I think the one I'm most eager to treat myself to is the Deeda Blair book coming out this month. This month I'm choosing to highlight the Texas Diaper Bank, not just because of what happened in Texas but because this is a charity I regularly donate to. I first learned about the Texas Diaper Bank years ago, when there was extreme flooding in Texas. When tragedy strikes I always look for reputable local, boots on the ground charities to donate to, where there is immediate help needed. What I love about this charity is that they help everyone on a daily basis but can mobilize quickly when there is an emergency, like last month with the power outages and no water crisis. Established in 1997 by ten local United Methodist Churches in San Antonio, the Texas Diaper Bank is a nonprofit that collects, stores and distributes diapers and other health supplies to vulnerable individuals each year throughout Texas. Texas Diaper Bank helps provide new mothers with securing diapers and offers "Calm Baby" classes, assists seniors suffering from incontinence, and promotes healthy periods for women. They are able to provide immediate assistance as well as offering educational opportunities, support services and supplement where needed. When Covid hit the Texas Diaper Bank was able to shift to a virtual program to continue their education programs and efficiently changed the delivery methods to safely continue the distribution programs. Despite the ongoing pandemic and now winter storm Uri, they continue to serve Texas and need the extra boost of additional donations at this time. It's my hope that you will join me in donating to the Texas Diaper Bank this month. With everything going on in the world, even the smallest donation will help. Making a difference in communities brings such a good feeling, even when they are far away from where you are located. If the Texas Diaper Bank doesn't seem right for you, I encourage you to find a similar charity to support today. Starting the month off on such a generous note is the best way to go - I promise! Happy Monday (and March!) , ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
In honor of Election day yesterday and despite the lack of a definitive outcome last night, I decided to do a post celebrating American companies I love. I've always been a big believer in supporting American businesses, especially when the products are made in the US. (This passion has gone as far back as 2000/2001 when Juicy Couture was "Made in the Glamorous USA".) Regretfully it can be a challenge to find something I'm looking for that's also made in America. It's always extra special when I can find something chic, exactly what I'm looking for, and American made. To my surprise and excitement my roster of American companies is constantly expanding. Aside from supporting our small businesses and American manufacturers, supporting brands that make their products in America means I'm lowering my carbon footprint and ensuring the factory has ethical working conditions. The prices may be slightly higher, but I know I'm getting a quality, ethically made product and supporting my own country. I've highlighted a few clothing companies already, like Molly Moorkamp, but wanted to share my growing list with you all. Below is a roundup of a few of my favorite companies to support. Bennington Potters is based in Vermont and has the absolutely most adorable plates and baking dishes. I personally love the Morning Glory Blue glaze. I keep getting instagram ads for Redland Cotton Sheets, which was really timely because I've been on the hunt for American made sheets. These are exactly what I'm looking for! Hank Panky is a company that I was pleasantly surprised to learn makes their products in the USA! I know I'm not alone when I say I'm a huge fan, so I'm even more excited to support this company. Having grown up on Long Island, Graphic Image was an familiar name. I grew up using their notebooks and planners and still love them to this day. When I think of Simon Pearce I think of my Nanny. Growing up I always heard the name, but it wasn't until Nanny gifted me a tree that I fully understood the magic of this company. As my tree collection grows, I always think of how special it was that my first one was from my grandmother. Happy Wednesday, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Even though I'm an optimist, I've really struggled with finding more silver linings as of late. The weather is miserable, we still have three weeks of lockdown, and everyone's patience is starting to wear more than a bit thin. Last week was especially challenging because my Grandmother fell, broke her hip, and had to go in for emergency surgery and the next day my Aunt had to have two toes amputated. I've certainly been tested and while I've certainly been shifting my perspective, I haven't gotten to a place of understanding quite yet. I don't think I'm alone, but I certainly feel more alone. This past weekend I needed a break from the monotony, so I drove over to a neighboring town and explored - distantly, of course - and it really brightened up my day! That simple routine shakeup really boosted my spirits and gave me the jolt I needed to get me back on a more half-glass-full kind of path. This is a spa week for me so I'm only looking for the positives! Sending positive light your way, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
Hi! I missed a day of posting, but I wasn't feeling inspired and, as I've mentioned in previous posts, I don't like just dialing it in. When everything is closed and there aren't many plans, inspiration can come in waves. I find inspiration everywhere. No matter how big or small, I can find something to inspire. In the rare moments I find myself feeling a bit of ennui coming on I turn to the familiar and sometimes just the simple act of going back to my roots brings a new, fresh perspective. Below are a few ways I find inspiration, which I hope inspires you. I love the simple act of writing. It's therapeutic and allows me to slow my mind down in a way that still feels productive. I've mentioned it before, but journaling has become a big part of my life and it has only helped me grow. Even now, I'm sitting at my table and the words are just flowing. I love revisiting my favorite books. I get so much satisfaction when I discover new details or find new passages and images that inspire me, when they didn't before. I'm still pretty old school when it comes to owning actual books for this reason alone. Reading and flipping through a book is pretty meditative for me! Walking around the city or out in the country is also a major source of inspiration for me. When I need a fresh perspective I put on my shoes and get outside. My neighborhood is vibrant, fun, and a great place to walk around. My apartment is another source of inspiration for me. I wake up every morning and think "how lucky am I to live where I do?" Every. Single. Day. I think that filling an apartment up with things I love and have collected over the years, combined with the stunning view I have is what I find so inspiring. While above it not my apartment, it's similar in style. I also find where I work to be inspiring. There is a constant flow of new pieces coming into the gallery and you get to meet so many cool and in the know people. To be surrounded by art, antiques, and a great group of people, it's hard not to be inspired. Happy Thursday, ARS xx S U B S C R I B E
A year ago my good friend Cait and I went to the Affordable Art Fair in NY and we were especially drawn to the works of painter Bradley Wood. His large scale portraits are unbelievable in person and my first thought (aside from my admiration of talent) was that "if Cait were to have a portrait done professionally, it should be by him". He's an artist I have an eye one and hope to one day own a painting (or two). When the day finally comes where I'm able to buy, something I'm going to have a hard time choosing just one! ARS xx
Starting an Etsy wishlist. There are so many fabulous things there and I can't help but want to buy all of them. I'm holding off, but this jacket is seriously especially tempting! Continuing to be healthy and meal prep. I'm really starting to see some results and it's been inspiring me to keep going! How good do the above chocolate dipped fruits look? Working on different mantras and mediations. More than ever I am feeling the need to nurture myself and prioritize my mental health. I have been in flight or fight more for so long that something has to give and I'm slowly working it all out. More to come on that, but this has been major for me. Craving all things vanilla. Florida fall has me craving all of the cozy things, which I didn't expect. Most notably I'm really into Diptyque's vanilla candles - they feels right for the season and isn't pumpkin! Wanting to get dressed up again! I'm so ready to wear fun party dresses again. Luckily I live in a place where party dresses are standard. As we get closer and closer to the start of season I'll be dusting off my party dresses! TGIF, ARS xx F O L L O W

I don't have many updates this week, but I'm happy to say I'm getting back on track. My stomach feels a bit flatter, I'm slowly chipping away at my down payment goal, and I'm planning a few things for my 101 in 1001 list. Celebrating my Dad's birthday! Birthdays are big in my family and I'm excited to do something special for my Dad. He only asked for cake, but we are going to try to surprise him. Setting up my new laptop and phone! I err on the side of techphobic so this is scary for me and will need all the help they can get. Thinking of heading to the orchid store with my Mom. It's time to get some fresh orchids for the next few months and there is a great little spot that we love about 20 minutes away. Living in my winter whites! I love wearing creams and tans in the winter - it's so chic. While counterintuitive, it's a go to winter in Florida look of mine. Making mood boards! I'm not sure if I want to go all in on a vision board, but a mood board for 2023 feels like just the thing. ARS xx F O L L O W
