This month at Belair Creative Cards we will be making 2 cards featuring the products from the Tidings of Christmas Suite. My first card is a CASE and was inspired by Narelle Farrugia. She is an amazingly talented demonstrator and you can see her original card here. The base card is basic white, the first layer is misty moonlight and then basic white which is embossed with a new folder called Star-Crossed from the upcoming mini catalogue. The scalloped rectangle is cut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and the leaf is from the Artistic Dies. The star and stocking are from the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and coloured with pool party and misty moonlight. My second card features the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper. This paper has beautiful designs and is double sided with traditional red and greens on some sheets and a hint of sahara sand and misty moonlight on others. A very versatile dsp for those who prefer traditional colours for their cards. The star is cut from the "Christmas Trimmings" coordinating dies from the Tidings of Christmas Suite. Stampin' Up! Tidings & Trimmings

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is creating textures using ribbon, embossing folders or paste, or sponging - anything to add dimension. I figured this would be a good time to give the Tidings & Trimmings bundle a test drive. I have to start thinking about my Christmas cards! The background was created with one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders on Sahara Sand, with Evening Evergreen sponged lightly over to enhance the details. I also sponged E.E. on some matching cardstock using the polka dot mask in the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks. I love polka dots, do you? The greeting was stamped in Evening Evergreen on Soft Succulent and die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies. A few of the stars in the Christmas Trimmings Dies cut from gold metallic specialty paper were added along with an Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon bow. That's my share for today. She has challenged us to create a project using the inspiration pic above. I couldn't resist cracking open my new "Festive Foliage" background stamp for this one. After colouring with Stampin Blends in Cherry Cobbler-Mossy Meadow-Old Olive, l have added one of the stunning star diecuts from the "Tidings & Trimmings" bundle in gold foil, some fine tip glue to the berries and finished it off with a sentiment from "Poinsettia Petals" in Mossy Meadow ink...I think this BG stamp will feature plenty on this years Christmas projects. Hello Craftin' Friends! I have some beautiful holiday cards to share with you today! I'm excited to show you my version of the Interlocking Fun Fold card, which I first saw while watching a France Martin YouTube video. This card, and my Fireplace card, are demonstrated in the Facebook LIVE video with measurements and tips for cutting the card base included. The interlocking card opens several times to reveal a little more of the card each time. I particularly liked this card because it was easy to create, but definitely has some WOW to it. It's the perfect card to make the recipient feel special. Here's the view from the front. This is the view after opening the first flap. The next flap opens from right to left. The last flap reveals the sentiment inside. Be sure to check out the video for a variation on the Interlocking Flap card shown above. The next card uses the stocking dies to create some adorable stockings, which are then hung on the fireplace mantle, created using some of the wood textured dsp from the In Good Taste DSP pack and the Brick 3D Embossing Folder from the Annual Catalogue. I loved the details I could add with the dies from the Trimmings and Tidings Bundle. To give the stocking tops texture, I used the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder. Another stocking, stamped this time, finishes off the inside of the card. (No picture of this part) The final card I'm sharing today was CASED from Jodi M. Peterson. She used the Trimmings and Tidings dies to create a birthday card, and I chose to go with the same design to make a Christmas card. In addition to the Trimmings and Tidings bundle, I used the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder to give texture to the white layer on the card front. For the sentiment I masked off the "May your days be" and just used the "merry & bright" to give the size of sentiment that I wanted. Inside the card I added a stamped star and a second sentiment. This bundle is a great combination of sentiments, images and dies that will have you feeliing inspired in no time. The Heartwarming Hugs DSP is a returning favourite, carried over from last year. I love the small patterns and traditional Christmas colours on this paper. Please leave a comment and let me know which was your favourite card!
