Oh yes...another card using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set! For this card I stamped the trees with Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. The "leaves" are stamped in Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, and Elegant Eggplant. Feeling they needed a little something more I then brushed the Gold Wink of Stella over them to add a little sparkle. I mounted the Vanilla cardstock onto a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and then to a base of Delightful Dijon cardstock. Was quite happy with this color combination. I really haven't used Delightful Dijon much and never even bought a pack of the cardstock in that color, just had the In-Color pack from when it first came out. I may have to get some as it works great for fall. Oh...and I just had to share...I got my pre-order from the holiday catalog and I am so excited!!!! The first thing I did was run a piece of paper through the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The dimensional embossing is amazing. ...And the second thing I did was get out the Copper Foil Sheets and the Starlight Thinlits Dies and make these amazing stars. Now I just need to make some cards! The Holiday Catalog starts September 1, 2016. Happy Stampin'- DeAnn

Hello, and welcome. I just love our Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set. Initially, it was only going to be available until the end of August, but it is available while supplies last. One of the great things about this set is that it can be used for all seasons, and the sentiments for anytime. The matching Framelits Set is marvelous as well. This was a quick, and easy creation. Just my style, as it was sweet, and simple. Hello, crafty friends! Today's card features the Thoughtful Branches Bundle using the color challenge of green, yellow and aqua for Color Throwdown #405. For this card, I did a little bit of water coloring with my aqua painter and my ink refills. I also created a background using the dots image from the Timeless Textures stamp set on the base of my card. Stamping Supplies: stamps: Thoughtful Branches, Timeless Textures ink: Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party and Basic Black paper: Pool Party, Whisper White and Gold Foil accessories: water color paper, aqua painter, Gold Metallic Thread, and Everyday Jars Framelits (small gold heart). Here's the challenge this week at Color ThrowDown: I hope you like my bright and cheery thank you card! Thanks for stopping by today! Join me at my Thoughtful Branches Bundle class! Details HERE.
I'm not ready for fall yet, even though it's supposed to be in the upper 80's and really humid the rest of the week. But I do love fall colors! So of course I had to make some fall cards with the Thoughtful Branches Bundle! Basically the same card with the colored layers reversed. Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Bundle $52.00 Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set $27.00 Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies $31.00 Stampin' Dimensionals $4.00 Generated by SUDSOL, Free Trial at www.sudsol.org Colors: Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla I used the Baby Wipe Technique to stamp the leaves. Fold up a baby wipe and put it on or in something shallow (I used the cover from an ice cream bucket), then add drops of ink refills to make a multi-colored ink "pad": I got a little carried away using this technique! But these will be used for a special project later: This is what the baby wipe looked like after all that stamping: I put in a plastic zip bag to use again later. Eventually all the colors will run together and won't look very nice, so then it's time to throw it away and make a new one!
Another card for today. I really only packed one box for the home project here, because my hubby was busy taking out insulation in the basement logs and putting it up in the attic. So I decided to stay out of his way and make cards. This one I will submit to the challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches This is a thank you card I made for the woman I bought this set from. It is Stampin Up, Thoughtful Branches. What a super lovely set, so many possibilities. I plan on playing with it some more tomorrow. I'm really liking that new burlap ribbon I got at Michael's. Brings the whole card together nicely. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping PJ
It's time for a Stamp Review Crew Bonus Hop! This is a new set that will be available on August 2nd for you to purchase. It also has a set of coordinating thinlits, which make it super easy to cut out! I have a feeling you are going to love this versatile set after hopping with us! When I first saw the big tree in this set, I thought it would look great with a big sunburst behind it. I also just got the fringe scissors, and they made perfect grass. For my next card, I wanted to do something with one of the smaller images, a leaf. I brayered a few different colors onto my cardstock with our fabulous new foam brayer and then stamped my sentiment, along with the leaf image all around it. That was kind of boring so I die cut the sentiment out with a circle die, added some beautiful bronze twine behind it and popped the sentiment up with some dimensionals. Much better! Probably my favorite image in this set is the three little trees. There is a dotted stamped that makes great leaves! I had to try this one out next. I did some more brayering on this card, along with some clear Wink of Stella to make the leaves pop . I always ask my hubby, Brett, which card is his favorite, and he chose this last one. He was so cute. He said "This must be a Christmas in July card." So he does listen when I'm blabbing away about my cardmaking! He's a keeper for sure. 😊 Well, that's all for this hop. Next time I will be hopping with you from my new home in Tennessee. I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by. Click on the links below to continue on with the hop! Is it really almost the end of August?! Wow. Well then I had better share these ideas with you today. All of them are created with the Thoughtful Branches exclusive bundle (that is ONLY available
Another sweltering day of heat and humidity. Phew...it's going to be in the 90's today and through the weekend. I finally turned the air on to run full time! My share for today is a card I made using Stampin' Up's new Bella & Friends, Over the Rainbow and Thoughtful Branches Stamp Sets and Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies. You can purchase Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies starting August 2 through August 31st while supplies last. Let's take a look at my card: Aren't these two little guys just the sweetest or what!!! And, who wouldn't want to take a bite of those delicious, red apples. YUMMY! One of SU's Demonstrators, Angie Juda, got to design this stamp set when she had reached a Million Dollars in Sales. Wowzers...that is a feat and a half! Congrats to Angie!!! I adore Angie and her blog at Chic n Scratch. My card base is Stampin' Up Very Vanilla Cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4". Using SU's new Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set, I stamped the grass and the tree top on Very Vanilla Cardstock in SU Garden Green Ink. I die cut the tree top out using SU's new Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies. I also die cut the tree trunk with the tree branches out of SU Early Espresso Cardstock. I adhered the tree trunk with the branches to my card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and the tree top using small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the apples in SU Real Red Ink on to Very Vanilla Cardstock, die cut them out and adhered them to my tree using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue. Using SU's Over the Rainbow Stamp Set, I stamped the sun in SU So Saffron Ink. I stamped Bella and her friend the turtle in SU Basic Black Archival Ink on to SU Shimmery White Cardstock, colored them in, fussy cut them out and adhered them to my card base with Mono-Multi Purpose Glue. I used Stampin' Write Markers in Always Artichoke, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron for the turtle. I used Stampin' Write Markers in Sahara Sand, Real Red and Basic Black for Bella. These guys are just too adorable! I have such a passion for 'critter' stamps! =) For the inside of my card, I inked up the tree top stamp in Garden Green Ink, stamped it off onto another piece of cardstock for use later and then stamped it again without re-inking on the inside of my card. I stamped the sentiment from Bella & Friends Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink. I adhered two more apples around the sentiment using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue. I'm so happy with the way my card turned out. It just makes me smile! That's all I have for today! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great day! I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you! Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, today we have the great pleasure to have Tami White as our special guest - thank you Tami for joining us! Our task - to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Tami's projects. My CASE is inspired by the the below card using Touches of Texture: Whilst yellows and oranges are not my natural colour choice, I do really like the earthy feel on this card. The Bunch of small flowers is what caught my attention, here is my CASE: Touches of Texture not only has beautiful flowers, but also background sets making it a very versatile set for your collection. I have used Sweet Sugarplum with a hint of Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi for my colours with a touch of Wink of Stella for a little bling, these colours are so much more me! The gorgeous sentiment is from Thoughtful Branches, and I am just loving the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Wrapping Silver Metalic Thread is also a great way to add some bling to your designs. I would love it if you could pin my cards! This card is inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest — it didn't use Stampin' Up! product but I knew I could make it with my SU supplies. I love cards with lots of white space but I also love embellishments. I resisted adding anything else to this card, leaving all that glorious white space. The photo is a little wonky so I could get the copper to show. Start with a base of Thick Whisper White. With a pencil I hand drew an arc. Using the leaf from the May Flowers Framelits I cut the leaf 3 times at varying angles then trimmed the lower right edge off with my Paper Snips. From the Copper Foil paper I cut 3 more leaves. I embossed a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and adhered it to the back side of the front of the card. Then adhered the copper leaves with Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive . Emboss the greeting with Copper Embossing Powder. I used the thank you from Thoughtful Banners. That's it! Fast, easy, elegant — change the greeting to whatever you need! Tip: The cool thing about using photopolymer stamps, as I did here, is they can be shaped a little. I added just a little curve to the greeting to match the line of the arc. Thanks for looking! Debbie Shop 24/7 from my online store. Don't forget to check great deals in the Clearance Rack
