My One Layer Wonder... I am creating some quick and easy cards that you only require a small amount of time and products. keep an eye out of the next card... The Touches of Texture stamp set is REALLY VERSATILE and I love it. It’s one of those stamp sets that you look at, and the more you think about it, the more ways you realize you can use it. It’s not only got pretty floral stamps, but lots and lots of fun background stamps such as the splatter on my card below. This stamp set has 15 stamps

Hallo allemaal! Vandaag heb ik mijn nieuwe stempelset "Touches of Texture" (Stampin' Up!) uitgeprobeerd. Ik kwam tijdens de blog hop van het Artisan Design Team hele mooie kaarten tegen van Amy O'Neill uit Australië en heb dit als voorbeeld en inspiratie voor mijn eigen kaarten gebruikt. De Stampin' Up! benodigdheden: Een heel fijn weekend! Hugs, Laura
I don’t know how I had missed that there was a bee in this set until I sat down to create a card with it. It is even a realistic looking bee. As many who know me, I don’t do “cute…
Today's card is way more vintage than I am accustomed to, but I really wanted to use some favorite retiring stamps before they go. And it's still a crisp, beautiful card. As luck would have it, I won a new stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Annual Catalog (at OnStage

Today I am sharing one of the lovely cards we made at my June 2016 FMN card class featuring the Touches of Texture stamp set. I also used this card for a recent swap I participated in. I love the soft look of this card and it’s perfect for almost any occasion. Hope You Enjoy, […]
Yesterday, I needed a birthday card. I wanted to make a new card. I chose one of my new stamp sets from Stampin' Up called "Touches of Texture". This is the card that I made. The image was stamped with Memento Gray Flannel ink. Then I used my SU watercolor pencils and a blender pen to add color to the flowers and leaves. I used a Rich Razzleberry card base and Rich Razzleberry ink to finish the card. The birthday greeting is from the set "Express Yourself" and the butterfly is from the set "Papillon Potpourri" stamped on pink card stock in Rich Razzleberry ink. Using a glue pen I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter around the edges. I used the layout on the front to decorate the inside of the card. I used my laptop to create the greeting and printed it on white card stock. Then added the stamping. This card was mentioned in the "Weekly Favorites for week ending July 2" at SplitcoastStampers. Thank you!
The Touches of Texture stamp set can be used as a background or as I did here, used as the focal image! I layered a piece of So Saffron card stock, measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ over the Crumb Cake card base. I added the Whisper White focal image layer, which measured 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ after […]

It's time for another Just in CASE post. Every Thursday (Patsy & I) post a card that has either been inspired by a card in the current catalogue or is a direct copy. Happy Wednesday peeps! Today was hubby's chemo day and his last day of radiation. We are thankful that his pain doctor discovered the cause of his pain 3 weeks ago, when no other doctors had a clue. He was friends with our radiation oncologist and got treament going so Perry is able to walk now with a walker and the wheelchair is no longer needed. Our doctor has his own pain now. He has been arrested for fraud and medical kick backs. He has admitted his guilt. That saddens me so and I can only pray that his stay in a federal prison will change his life for the better. So I sought a Christian based challenge for today...there are several out there. I chose Word Art Wednesday Weeks #336 - #337 Anything Goes. I wanted to build up my stash of sympathy cards and I watched Linda Cullen make one that I just had to CASE (copy and share everything in some stampers' speak). I liked it so much I made a second one and CASE'd my own! For the inside I copied the word art from the challenge I entered. This is a very easy card to make and I will be demonstrating it tomorrow at our card group. Measurements and products used are below. Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to stop by tomorrow as it is our Thursday blog hop! AND if you are a praying type of person, can you throw in a few for Dr. Frey. I may have to start a prison ministry! I never dreamed this would affect me so much and we had only met with him three times. Hi everyone, sharing a quick post today on the Stained Glass Technique. There is a great tutorial on Splitcoaststampers here. I embossed my image, from the 'Touches of Texture' stamp set using Silver as I liked the finished look better than the White embossing powder. The sentiment is from the 'Balloon Celebrations' stamp set. The image was coloured using Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers. The card base is Wisteria Wonder and the patterned paper is from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. A few silver metallic enamel dots were added to finish the card. You can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online and join in the fun with the On-line Club or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! I used the Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture and Endless Thanks stamp sets to create my card to share today.
On the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Cruise, we were lucky enough to be given the Touches of Texture stamp set and also the opportunity to create 3 projects using the set. I've CaSED this design from one of the cards we made, just tweaking a few things to make it my own. This is such a forgiving 'collage'-style stamp set that you really can't go too far wrong...any smudges or spatters are going to look like part of your design. Gotta love that! Katy McGloin is this week's Featured Designer at the Pals Paper Arts this week, and she's chosen a wonderfully unique color palette for her color challenge. Island Indigo and Sweet Sugarplum are surprisingly wonderful together (who'da thunk it?), and Sahara Sand adds the perfect backdrop for these colors to shine.
I officially have Spring Fever…which is so much better than having Flu Fever, which I had last week! What a miserable week but it may have been worse had I not gotten a flu shot. This week is a whole different story though. We are experiencing record high temperatures in PA with no sign of winter coming back. Today’s birthday card is a pretty nod to spring. Here’s the details: I let the Designer Series… Continue reading

I am so addicted to my paper and stamping. I needed a card for my Niece. Who is attending UW Oshkosh for a conference this week. I was finally able to sit down at about 10:00 pm. Usually, I'm sleeping by 10 pm. Well, time got away from me, and by the time I finished the card, it was 1:30 am. What??? How in the world did I manage to lose that much time, and not realize how late it was? Simple...... I'm an addict to all things Paper! I wanted to break out the new stamp set "Touches Of Texture". I love the stamp set, and the background textures it offers. This set reminds me of the wild flowers we see when driving the Rustic Roads in Wisconsin. Which are all in bloom now. Top view to show the pop ups. Enjoy the warm weather and sunshine! Happy Stamping!
