Today I am joining stampers from around the world taking part in Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights. I have chosen to use the Forever Fern stamp set and the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies on a teepee card. The Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) is from the Forever Greenery Bundle also. Teepee cards look intimidating but are really quite easy to make. Card Measurements Card Base: Comes in two pieces: a) 20cm x 10cm scored at 10cm landscape and from 10cm score to corner diagonally on each side (as per photo below) b) 10cm x 10cm scored diagonally corner to corner (as per photo below) DSP or 1st layer: 9.5cm x 9.5cm squares of SDSP or DSP (x2) each square CUT diagonally corner to corner (as per photo below except you will need to cut both 9.5cm x 9.5cm pieces). You'll only need 3 of these triangles to decorate your teepee. Preferably choose DSP that doesn't have a specific direction or otherwise one of your pieces will be upside down. Inside layer: 9.5cm x 9.5cm square cardstock Scraps: Whisper White to stamp flowers and leaves on and Gold Foil The photo above shows how your pieces will fit together and all your score lines and the photo below shows the actual position they should be in to glue them together. The inside of the card is shown above and shows how the insert for your greeting and the velcro are placed and attached. To make the card into a teepee fold the two flaps (from the 20cm x 10cm piece) one over the other. The velcro will be on the inside on one (here it's the left one) and the other piece of velcro will be on the outside (in this case the right hand one which is why you can't see it). Once you have glued your cardstock pieces together, you can add your DSP triangles and any further embellishments you desire. Add velcro (as shown in inside card photo) to enable card to be opened and closed. You could also use a brad. This card will also fold flat for posting and will fit inside a C6 envelope. Don't forget to join in the fun and vote for your favourite entry (preferably mine 😉). You can vote for your 5 favourite entries by clicking on the heart in the top right corner of each entry. Click on the image below and you will be taken to the blog hop. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. Please leave a comment at the end of the post. How to make a Teepee Card with Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Angie Juda The project I'm sharing with you today is a Halloween Teepee Card and we made a Christmas version of this project last
Download a free PDF tutorial to make this 3D standing Christmas tree card by Caire Daly, Stampin Up Demonstrator Melbourne Australia. This 2020 Stampin Up Christmas Card is easy to make with the step by step instructions and photos. You most likely have all the supplies you need at home, but I have used Stampin Up Stitched Triangle Dies and Stitched Stars Dies which are available to purchase from me in Australia.
I've not made a teepee fold card for a while and for some reason this image seemed to be 'calling out' for one, so I've had a go. I've used a Lili of the Valley image and Nitwits papers on a strong gold mirror cardbase. Here's the card from the front ..... And a couple of pictures from both sides showing the circle sentiments I added .... The image was a really sweet one called Carol Singing... Here's how I made my simple Teepee cardbase: First I cut a rectangle 12" x 6" of gold mirri card and scored it in half and each half on the diagonal as shown below: Then I cut another 6" x 6" square of gold mirri card, scored it on the diagonal and adhered it to the rectangle base as shown below (again this is the back of the cardbase): Before sticking the pieces together (above) I covered each of the triangle shapes with patterned papers so that when I turned it over, it looked like this: I then used a small circle of stick-on velcro to create the ability to hold the fancy fold in place but also allowing it to open and fold flat for posting. :0) Card Recipe: Image - Carol Singing by LOTV Colouring - Distress Ink Reinkers Christmas Sentiment Tags from LOTV Nitwits Woodland Wishes Papers Stazon Ink Pad The Langton Watercolour paper Crystal Glamour Dust Button Twine Glossy Accents Spellbinders Grand Ovals Gold Mirri card I've been inspired by: Simon's Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes Sketchy Challenge - Add Some Bling The Ribbon Girl - Card Challenge Happy crafting Annette xx

Hi folks! Thanks for joining us this month! We’re hopping all over the world with some fun cards. It’s time for the new Fancy Fold for this month – the Teepee Fold Card! Hopefull…
I had a couple requests for instructions on my little teepee card shown in the CTD challenge, so here you go! I'll post the directions first, then the picture! It's rather long but it goes quickly! Again, thanks to Sue Selfridge, my fellow Rubber Dubber, for her demonstration of this card. Start by cutting 3 squares of cardstock; in this example, I have cut these 4" so when it is unassembled, it will still fit into an envelope. Score each square diagonally. This is the time to stamp your pieces if you like: Lay one piece diagonally on your work surface, right side down. The crease should be going up & down (vertically). Lay the next piece on top, (as shown), again right side face down. Make sure the edges fit next to the folds snugly; you don't want them right on top of each other, but next to each other so they can be folded easily. Adhere the piece down, making sure you don't put adhesive on the areas that will be exposed on the other side! Now, flip the whole thing over, and adhere the other square the same way, but with the right side facing out. Again, make sure you don't put adhesive on the exposed areas! Now fold your card together to see how it fits: Now, if you just wanted to display your card, you add your decorations and adhere everything together! But if you want to mail your card, you will need to make a little slit for the outer corner to fit into. This way it can be unfolded to go into the envelope. I just marked two pencil marks on either side of the overlapping panel when it was in place. Obviously, I have moved the panel so you can see the marks. I then cut a slit with my craft blade. You could also just use your cutting blade or a pair of scissors. Now, you can tuck the corner of the panel into the slit. Just make sure if you decorate this panel, do not glue down the top layer of cardstock at this corner; it makes it a bit too thick to try to get into the slit. Just tuck the bottom layer under. Now to make a smaller layer for decorating, I cut another square 1/4" less than my original square. So I have cut this square 3 3/4". Then I cut it in half diagonally: On the diagonal side that you just cut, measure down to 3 3/4". I made a mark--you can see it next to the arrow. Now cut across the cardstock, from the left corner (shown at bottom center of photo), to the mark. This will give you a panel to layer. If you want three panels, you can do the other half, then you'll have to cut a second square and repeat the steps. So here is my finished card: I hope this was helpful! I can't wait to see what you come up with! I would like to add some ribbon, but can't quite figure out how to do that, so if anyone has some ideas, let me know! TFL! I've shared a few Tee-pee cards before and have often been asked for more details. So I have decided to show a tutorial on how I go about it for my tutorial Wednesday as part of the Bugaboo team over at Catch The Bug. So, you will need: 3 pieces of cardstock (5 and a half inches by 5 and a half, black in this pic) 3 pieces of cardstock (5 inches by 5 inches, the orange pieces) 3 pieces of designer paper (4 and a half by four and a half) Double sided tape Score board or ruler and scoring tool Fold the 3 largest pieces in half diagonally Cut both of the smaller pieces of card in half diagonally. Take one of the pieces and cut it into quarters as shown. Attach to the base pieces as shown. Turn the base pieces over. Nestle one of the squares into another as shown above. Score a light line for reference to show where it ends. Attach tape as shown making sure you do not cross over the score line. Repeat the process with the third piece until you have the above shape. When you turn it over, it should look like this. Cut the designer paper in half diagonally. Attach to the card base. Attach a small piece of velcro as shown above. And close the card. It should look like this! Now all you need to do is decorate it as you wish. In the pic I shared at the start, I stamped a PTI sentiment and attached a JJ image which I cut with nestabilities. Hope you find the tutorial interesting. Hopefully it is interesting enough to maybe make you have a go at creating one. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have a go at it as I love to see how others interpret it.
Hi everyone ... my card today is a pyramid card. These are fun and are fairly simple to make once you know how. I have included a few different angles of this card today ... the front on photo above and then 2 photos of it side on which you can see below. Ok so how are these made, you will need: 2 pieces of card 10.5cm square (4inches) color 1 1 piece of card 10.5cm square (4 inches) color 2 1. Fold all pieces of card in half to create a triangle .... unfold. 2. Postition the 2 pieces of card that are the same color side by side as per the diagram below so that the fold starts from the centre (where the two cards meet) out towards the lower outside edges. 3. Place the 3rd piece of card (the different colored piece) so that the fold runs along the join of the previous 2 pieces. Adhere this piece so that the right side is over the square on the right and the left side is under the square on the left ... see diagram below. 4. Cut a slit as indicated this is so that when the card is folded in upright position the card remains closed (this is optional) 5. Decorate your pyramid card as desired. Recipe: Stamps: Bee - Stampendous Paper: Lavendar Lace & Elegant Eggplant - SU; White; Floral Stack Pack - DCWV Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Purple Brads; White Gel Pen; Foam Tape
