So I have decided to show a tutorial on how I go about it for my tutorial Wednesday as part of the Bugaboo team over at Catch The Bug. So, you will need: 3 pieces of cardstock (5 and a half inches by 5 and a half, black in this pic) 3 pieces of cardstock (5 inches by 5 inches, the orange pieces) 3 pieces of designer paper (4 and a half by four and a half) Double sided tape Score board or ruler and scoring tool Fold the 3 largest pieces in half diagonally Cut both of the smaller pieces of card in half diagonally. Take one of the pieces and cut it into quarters as shown. Attach to the base pieces as shown. Turn the base pieces over. Nestle one of the squares into another as shown above. Score a light line for reference to show where it ends. Attach tape as shown making sure you do not cross over the score line. Repeat the process with the third piece until you have the above shape. When you turn it over, it should look like this. Cut the designer paper in half diagonally. Attach to the card base. Attach a small piece of velcro as shown above. And close the card. It should look like this! Now all you need to do is decorate it as you wish. In the pic I shared at the start, I stamped a PTI sentiment and attached a JJ image which I cut with nestabilities. Heute ist mal wieder Technik-Blog-Hop-Zeit! Schön, dass Ihr vorbeischaut! Ich darf wieder mit dabei sein und freue mich darüber sehr. Organisiert hat diesen Blog-Hop wieder meine Demo-Kollegin Kerstin. Ein herzliches Dankeschön in deine Richtung!!! Schnappt Euch ein Getränk Eurer Wahl, macht es Euch gemütlich und klickt Euch einfach mal durch. Ich möchte Euch heute eine Kartentechnik vorstellen - die Dreieckskarte. Diese Kartenform eignet sich sehr zur Deko, da man sie gut aufstellen kann. Dank des Magnetverschlusses kann man sie aber auch ganz flach zusammenlegen. Aber nun zur Anleitung... Ihr benötigt zweimal Designerpapier in der Größe 9 cm x 9 cm. Dazu benötigt Ihr dreimal farblich passenden Farbkarton in der Größe 10 cm x 10 cm. Ich habe hier das wunderschöne Designerpapier Grüner Garten verwendet. Als dazu passenden Farbkarton habe ich mir jeweils ein Stück in Lindgrün, Farngrün und Gartengrün ausgesucht. Du kannst auch Farbkarton in nur einer Farbe verwenden. Ich wollte aber bei meiner Karte etwas Abwechslung... 😊 Das Designerpapier diagonal zerschneiden. Das geht am besten, wenn Ihr die beiden gegenüberliegenden Ecken in die Nut eures Papierschneiders legt und dann schneidet. Achtet aber bitte darauf, dass Ihr von der Mitte jeweils nach außen schneidet, um die Ecken des Designerpapieres nicht zu beschädigen. Die drei Farbkartonteile diagonal falzen. Das geht - wie gerade beschrieben - im Papierschneider. Ihr solltet dann allerdings nicht die Schneidklinge - sondern die Falzklinge verwenden. 😊 Oder Ihr habt in eurem Bastelschrank (so wie ich) noch die Simply Scored Falzschablone Diagonale Struktur. Damit ist das diagonale Falzen ratzfatz erledigt. Falls Ihr verschiedene Farben Farbkarton ausgesucht habt ,habt Ihr jetzt die Qual der Wahl und müsst Euch für eine Farbe entscheiden. Legt diese dann so vor euch, dass eine Spitze vom Farbkarton zu Euch zeigt. Das wird die Kartenrückseite. Die restlichen zwei Farbkartonstücke werden dann wie auf den folgenden Fotos abgebildet aufgeklebt. Achtet bitte darauf, dass Ihr in der Mitte einen kleinen Spalt lasst und... ... dass Ihr oben alle drei spitzen Ecken auf einer Höhe habt. Am Besten geht das mit einer karierten Unterlage. Da könnt Ihr Euch dann an einer Linie orientieren. Jetzt die Karte einmal wenden. Dann könnt Ihr auch schon mit dem Verzieren der Kartenaußenseite beginnen. Dafür klebt Ihr das Designerpapier in Mittelbereich auf. Anschließend die Karte wieder wenden und im oberen linken Bereich Eurer Karte einen Magneten befestigen. Um das Gegenstück des Magneten richtig zu positionieren, könnt Ihr Euch wie folgt helfen: Die zwei Magnete aufeinander legen und den Klebeschutz des oberen Magneten abziehen. Die Karte richtig aufstellen und dann den Bereich der Magneten fest zusammendrücken. So sollten die Magnete jetzt sitzen... Karte wieder drehen, dass Ihr die Außenseite vor Euch habt. Die restlichen zwei Designerpapier-Ecken aufkleben. Die Karte ist jetzt soweit fertig und kann nach Belieben verziert werden. Für den Innenteil der Karte könnt Ihr zweimal flüsterweißen Farbkarton der Größe 9 cm x 9 cm verwenden. Den Farbkarton -wie oben beim Designerpapier beschrieben- diagonal auseinanderschneiden, nach Bedarf bestempeln bzw. verzieren und anschließend aufkleben. Und hier noch einmal die beiden Varianten im Detail... Jetzt wünsche ich Euch viel Spaß beim Ausprobieren! Herzlichen Dank, dass Ihr bei mir vorbeigeschaut habt. "Family" Theme using the Country Club Suite Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the 7th Social Stamping Blog Hop. Our theme this week is "Family". I hope you are enjoying tonight's Blog Hop and the various interpretations of the "Family" theme. As I pondered the theme and how I would interpret it, I thought of my only immediate living family, my brother, and decided to create a card for him to let him know I was thinking of him in these weird times of isolation. My initial thought was to create a card with a bit of tongue in cheek, that is, as my brother is an avid golfer I thought of designing a golfer's card where the golf ball was hit and ended up at the bottom of a pond - I know, I have a twisted sense of humour, well at least when it comes to teasing my brother. (That's what many brothers & sisters do - right.) However, as I designed and put the card together, I came back to my usual approach of 'encouragement'. Here's my card (well one facade): It's a 'Tee Pee' fancy fold card. I haven't created this fancy fold previously, but found it quite easy given the statement it makes. A story told as one moves around each of the three panels of the card. The panels show: A golfer that is swinging to hit the ball The golf ball is travelling down the fairway and over a water trap. (Not falling into it as I had first envisaged.) The ball lands at the hole with the flag pole in place - a hole in one! Hence, the sentiment "It's kind of fun to do the impossible" and there is an award to recognise the amazing achievement. Enjoying a great day of golf Will the golf ball fall in the water? Hole in One on the 18 Hole I'm trying to be briefer in writing my blogs, recognising that many people don't want to read through a long screed. The products used in creating this card is listed at the end of this blog. Just to give you a sense of the size - I cut 3 pieces of 4" x 4" card-stock as the card base. The Country Club Designer Series Paper (DSP) which was used as the mount, was cut at 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" and then cut diagonally from corner to corner. The B&W line picture DSP sheet that was used as the card fronts, with each piece individually cut to ensure the scenes were correctly positioned. The scenes were coloured with Stampin' Blends. I so love colouring with these Blends - I guess it takes me back to childhood and is certainly a "mindful" activity. Here is the card opened out flat giving a look at the coloured panels: Stampin' Up!s development of coordinating products is brilliant and I really love the range of suites that are offered. I have focussed on the Country Club Suite, including stamps, matching dies, DSP and the ooh so cute wooden Country Club elements. Each facade of the Tee Pee card uses different elements. What great added dimension they bring. Sadly this whole golfers' suite is retiring and will not be available after 2 June 2020. If you or a family member are golfers, don't miss out on this gorgeous suite. For me, this stamp and die bundle is a keeper so I can continue to create cards for my brother to capture his interest. As I have used the Tee Pee's 3 facades to tell the story, I created internal panels for writing a personal greeting. Matching DSP mounts were used and a stamped golf club. Covering the internal panels not only added to the overall look/quality of the card, but also covered the two magnets and strengthened the closure. One of the great things about this fancy fold is that as it has a magnet to hold it in place, it can fold flat and fit into a standard size C6 Stampin' Up! Envelope. The final projects I wanted to share with you from my presentation over the weekend is this Bird Ballad laser-cut card tin decorated for a wedding gift!
