WSL_Mask 223 HERE Xero Filter-Soft Mood, Radiance and Clarity PhotoEffex-Scanlines Font Romance Fatal Drop Shadow usually V2 H2 50 black Let's get started This is an easy one. Remember to add your drop shadow as you go along. Open a new image to whatever size you like working with. I usually will do either 700 x 700 or 800 x 800 I prefer to have alot of room to work on. Paste paper #6 and apply your mask, delete and merge group. Apply the PhotoEffex-Scanlines with the width at 2 and the noise at 25% Open your frame and resize to 20% and paste onto your new image. Take your Selection tool and draw a rectangle over your frame, copy and paste paper #1 from the add on kit or choose a color you would like to use, then invert and delete. Move below the frame, do not deselect yet. Take your close up tube and paste below the frame and move to the right and up some, hit your delete key to get rid of the excess tube outside the frame, then duplicate and mirror and move down more on the left side, delete. On the tube on the right apply xero filter-Soft Mood. The tube on the left apply the xero filter-Radiance. Take elements #3 and #11, resize to 15%. Free rotate #11 right at 20%, all layers unchecked, place on the right side of the frame just below the tube layer. Resize element #24 to 15% and free rotate to the left 20% and place on the left side of the frame below the tube. Once happy with everything, merge visible and resize. Add the xero filter-clarity to the whole tag now. Add your copyright and name and save as a png

Open a 600 x 250 image Flood fill with a darker color from your tube, then add a new Raster Layer and fill with a lighter color from your tube. Apply the mask then delete, merge group. Add your drop shadow, so your mask will show up. I then applied the filter xero-Soft Vignette to the mask. Copy and paste your half tube and then duplicate it 3 more times, position in different parts of your image, mirror one and place the face part on the left and right side, merge tubes down until all on one layer. Lower the opacity to 40 to 50 depending on how light you want it to be. Now type out the words Sweet Babe with one of the colors you used before, with the font Impact at size 125, then change blend mode to soft light and move it up toward the top of your tag, on top of the mask, add your drop shadow. I also applied Effect, 3D effect, cutout at V-1, H1, opacity 21 and blur 5, shadow black and fill interior same color that you used for the word. Hi crafters! Today I have a tag to share using inks to create a lot of texture and layers. Please note: this post has affiliate links, for which I receive a small percentage of sales generated by the link, at no extra cost to you. Simon Says Stamp has a brand new release called Just For You and this tag was made with products from that release. I wanted to create something of a magical mushroom forest using the new Mushroom Stems die set. The Just For You release has a great mix of stamps, dies, stencils and other products which are great for both Easter, spring-time and other themes. There is even a pair of Pawsitively Everyday Scissors. I started by white embossing one of the pretty Simon Says Stamp Leaf Edges stamps on a tag. Smear Distress Inks on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the tag into the ink. Let dry. Repeat to get deeper colors and more texture. I added one more layer of Distress Ink after this photo and then finished with a tiny bit of Distress Oxide ink. I missed taking a photo of that step unfortunately. Die cut the Simon Says Stamp Mushroom Stems twice from heavystock paper. Press Lost Shadow and Frayed Burlap on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the mushroom parts into the ink. I used mainly Lost Shadow. Color the hats in the same way using various colors. Let dry and then repeat the process once or twice with Distress Ink. If you only touch the paper to the ink you get a splotchy appearance. As with the background, I did a final layer using Distress Oxide inks, but only in a few areas of the images. Shape the mushrooms with Tim Holtz Shaping kit and adhere the colorful hats with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Foam Tape. Dye May Arts Wrinkled Faux Silk Ribbon with Distress Ink, mist with water and crinkle. I adhered the mushrooms to the tag with more foam tape. The sentiments were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Forest Scenery, which wasn't a part of the new release. Here you can see the effect of the opaque Distress Oxide inks. I also used Simon Says Stamp Pretty Pastel sequins. You can make these mushrooms in any color imaginable. I dyed cheese cloth to form soil or undergrowth for the mushrooms. The small mushrooms are so cute. We had lovely sunny weather today, even though there is still some snow left. I am looking forward to spring-time in the forest. The tag has quite a bit of dimension. There will be more Just For You inspiration here on Saturday. Happy stamping! Good morning everyone! Well Monday has rolled around again and I'm getting ready to begin my week. I just wanted to share a tag I've been working on. Those of you who follow me, know how much I love making flowers and roses are a favorite of mine. I like tags because they can be tucked down inside a gift bag and given to someone special. They take just as much work as a card, but I think they are just in a class of their own. For my tag, I used the Tim Holtz Alterations die and then ran it though my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder; then I used Ranger Distress Ink to go over some of the raised edges. My roses were made by cutting out petals using the Spellbinders Rose Creations Die and the leaves were made using the Spellbinders Foliage die. The roses were made using plain white card stock and I inked the petals with Ranger Distress Inks and shaped the petals then glued them together. I used a gold leafing pen to add just a touch of gold to the petals of the flowers. Just a tiny bit .... I didn't want to lose any of the elegance of the flower. The petals were edged in Distress Inks and spritzed with water then crumpled to shape and give them some shape. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed doing it. Making flowers just seems to make me a happy girl. Have a great day and a wonderful week and I hope you can find a little time to create.
Technique: Crochet Every week I crochet an angel and send it off to someone around the world that I don't know who is need of hope. This is fantastic way to let people know that no matter what they are dealing with, that they are not alone. Each week I post about it in the hopes that someone who stumbles across my blog will read it to continue try and raise awareness of this wonderful organization. All of my angels in July featured white yarn with a green halo. The red heart is a glass bead, and is part of the Angels for Hope symbol, to let the recipient know that someone cares. Last angel for July, looking forward to a new colour scheme for August! If you would like to register for Angels for Hope you can do so here. Also, if you know someone who is need of an Angel, you can put in your request there.

I needed to make some tags to go with customer orders, so I spent a few hours messing around, finding sweet graphics, paper and lace, and made these tags - The first one was so much fun to make so much fun, in fact, that I made four, lol I also made a tag with a vintage image of a Canadian thistle, to go with a gorgeous little French Thistle pendant I had in my Etsy shop - I always love using religious images on my tags. This is one of them - I must must must get on with my listings, sigh. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and I hope you all have a great start to the week. Toodlepip xxx
