An extremely rare and magnificent wicker and cane Cobra Peacock Throne armchair, from the 1970s. The type and style made famous by French director Just Jaeckin and Dutch actress Sylvia Kristel in the cult film Emmanuelle. This iconic masterpiece is the King of Peacock chairs, one of the largest and rarest models around. It is more than 16 inches taller than the usual common versions of peacock chairs, with intricate weaved patterns and hints towards American Indian style weaved decoration Condition: In overall exceptional vintage condition. This chair has been well-kept over the decades and is very strong and sturdy. Due to the age of the material, there are signs of wear and imperfections. There are some minor losses of wicker on the edges of the armrests, some small dark patches of wicker (due to water absorption), and there is slight fading at the base. Please study the photos for clarification. Dimensions: Overall height: 193cm, width: 134cm, Depth: 65cm Backrest height: 148cm Seat diameter: 53.5cm, Seat height (from floor): 48cm

“True goodness is like water. Water’s good for everything. It doesn’t compete.” ~ from poem Easy by nature found in Lao Tzu Tao Te Ching translated by Ursula K. Le Guin Water is an asymmetrical triangle shawl worked with the same technique found in Waiting for Rain (amongst some of my other shawls), the technique I’ve called Softsweater Knits Charted Lace Short Rows. The added fabric from the watery twisted stitch lace short rows creates a wonderful unique shape reminiscent of a teardrop. Turning the otherwise triangle shawl shape into something more likely to fall from the sky as rain.

My friend Puri is planning a road trip in California. She already knows where she wants to go and even the car that she wants to rent. The only issue here is that she doesn't have a driving licence... oops! Bus since she doesn't know fear, she's decided to get it in 2 months. She's not getting a lot of support, but I do support her and that's why I made her those crochet dices to put on the car. You must admit that the little tacky that we all have inside jumped for joy when you've seen the dice... That's why I decided to share the pattern with you! I'm sure you know someone who's car is asking for one of those. What you'll need: -Cotton yarn in 2 very contrasted colours for the dices and a third colour for the string that join them together. - Aguja 2,5 mm - 12 piezas de cartón de 7x7 cm - Pegamento para tela - Aguja lanera - Relleno sintético FACES With base colour, crochet 12 squares, 8 or 9 cm, in single crochet (sc). I've needed a foundation row of 21 chains and 21 rows. 1. Chain 21 2. 20 sc 3. Chain 1, 20 sc 4 to 21. repeat row 3. Cut the thread and fasten off. PIPS With the contrast colour, crochet 42 circles in double crochet (dc): 1. Chain 2 in a magic ring (count as a dc) 2. 11 dc 3. Close with a slip stitch and cut the thread leaving a tail of 15 or 20 cm to attach them to the faces. Stitch up the pips to the faces and glue a cardboard piece into each one. ASSEMBLING Join 1 and 2 together, 2 to 6, 6 to 5. Now you have a line of 4 faces. Now join 3 to 6 from the left, and 4 from the right. Now you've formed a cross. Join last and first one, that's to say 1 o 5. Now you've an open cube. Now join 3 to 2, 1 and 5 to form an open box. Fill the box with the stuffing. Close the cube joining 4 to 4, 1 and 3. You've a dice! Make another one. For the string, join the cotton yarn to any corner and start crocheting chains until you reach the desired length. Now join it to the other dice by making a slip stitch in any corner and come back to the first dice making single crochets all over the chain. Fasten off. Corta y remata. MORE FREE PATTERNS HERE MÁS PATRONES GRATIS AQUÍ
