I saw Sharon Burkert's card on Pinterest, and fell in love with the colors. Now as I did not have the specific background paper that she had... I used DSP from the 'It's My Party' for my card. The sentiment is a stamp from the Birthday Banners set. I just used portions of the stamp to place the 'birthday' underneath the 'happy' (as the stamp is all on one line). Here is Sharon's card: Thanks so much for your inspiration! Thanks for taking a closer look! Supplies Used: Stamp Set - Birthday Banners Ink - Memento Paper - Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black, It's My Party DSP Accessories - Big Shot, Botanical Builder Framelits, Circles Collection Framelits, Swirly Scribbles, Basic Pearls, glue dots

Hi Stampers, Here's another card we made at my last class using Swirly Bird. Everyone had fun sponging clouds - it's so satisfying! The kites are so much fun to stamp and cute on their own merits, but they really pop on the cloud background. Check out my May 31 blog post to see how we made the clouds. The colors on this card are Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim & Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is from Suite Sayings (#140712). Enjoy! Pat

I used the Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird stamp set from the upcoming 2016-17 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.
When I first got this stamp set I made a bunch of cards to show them off quickly for the new Catalogue, so some are pretty much cased from some lovely cards I had seen on Pinterest, and some were just a basic demonstration of how versatile this Bundle really is. This card is hiding a secret... more to come on what's inside soon : ) Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Endless Birthday Wishes Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach, Crumb Cake, Basic Black & Very Vanilla Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive & Black Extras: Linen Thread Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Birthday Blooms Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush & Emerald Envy This next card was very much inspired by Amanda Mertz on Pinterest Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Flourishing Phrase Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Crumb Cake & Whisper White Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder, Emerald Envy & Crumb Cake Tools: Swirly Scribbles Thinlits & Brick Wall Embossing Folder Extras: Ruched Ribbon, This next card was cased from Ilina Crouse on Pinterest Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Endless Birthday Wishes Cardstock: Ivory, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla Ink: Rose Red, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive & Black Tools: Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Extras: Linen Thread Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Flourishing Phrase Cardstock: Crumb Cake & Whisper White Ink: Crumb Cake, Peekaboo Peach , Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Cucumber Crush & Emerald Envy Tools: Swirly Scribbles Thinlits & Paper Piercing tool Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Thoughtful Banners Cardstock: Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim & Whisper White Ink: Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim & Marina Mist Tools: Tree Builder Punch Extras: Emerald Envy Bakers Twine Technique: Masking & Sponging Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Flourishing Phrases Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo & Whisper White Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Wistira Wonder & Rich Razzleberry Tools: Tree Builder Punch & Softly Falling Embossing Folder Extras: Sweet Sugarplum Rouched Ribbon Technique: Masking & Sponging Partial pop-up kites (Dimensional on the top & fast fuse on the bottom). The clouds are masks made from the Tree Builder Punch, with a little bit of Wisteria Wonder on the bottom. Thought I'd add a pop-up kite on the inside of the card. Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Hardwood Cardstock: Sahara Sand & Whisper White Ink: White Craft, Marina Mist, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point & Sahara Sand Tools: Tree Builder Punch Extras: Whisper White Bakers Twine Technique: Masking & Sponging Stamp Set: Swirly Bird & Edless Birthday Wishes Cardstock: Dapper Denim, Real Red & Whisper White Ink: Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Real Red, Sahara Sand & White Craft Tools:Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Tree Builder Punch & Circle Punches Extras: Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine Technique: Masking & Sponging The card on the left has had the sails stamped and cut out separately, while the card on the right has had all the pieces of the boat stamped and cut out all together. This is a fun stamp set and I loved making these cards, but unfortunately I happened to lose the left sail stamp of the boat -Ahhhh!!!! : ( right before I needed it for an event Shari and I held. So annoyed with myself for that... Anyway I was lucky a fellow demonstrator could lend me one for the event (Thanks Jacinta ). And no... I still haven't found my missing sail. Hopefully it will miraculously just appear in front of me one day...
One of my favourite cards from my embossing paste class last month was this pretty card. For this card I actually heat embossed the embossing paste. For this particular card I used silver embossing powder. When heat embossing on embossing paste the best results come from allowing the paste to dry for a few hours
Hallo,
Ahoi!
The photo on the right is what I found on Pinterest. I immediately thought of Confirmation when I saw this card. Thanks Susanne Kalisch for your wonderful inspiration. The card on the left is my creation.... using red as that is the color of confirmation. The dove is from the stamp "Easter Dove".... I just used scissors to cut the dove out. Thanks for taking a peek! Supplies Used: Stamp Set - Easter Dove Ink - Memento Paper - Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Crumb Cake Accessories - Big Shot, Die Brush, Circles Collection Framelits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, scissors, dimensionals
Whilst creating with the Swirly Birds / Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies recently, I could just see some Christmas ideas forming..... This was my first very simple Christmas Wreath using the largest swirl and leaves die cut in Always Artichoke card and the smallest flower die as holly berries, in Cherry Cobbler. I added a festive greeting from Wondrous Wreath, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and a little glitter from Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. A gorgeous card featuring in my Christmas card club for June. This is such a versatile set. Have you ordered yours yet ? Click on the links below to find out more. Hello! When I was creating this card (shared with you the other day), I was inspired to create today's card. I must've been thinking "Spring" because I was on a roll creating cards with the Brights! I don't usually reach for the Brights... I'm typically more of a Regals/Neutrals girl! But, I'm so ready for Spring so why not bring it out in my crafting! I did use some really old ribbon on my card. I've had this 1/4" grosgrain ribbon for ages... I collected the whole line of them, then they were retired. I hoarded it and refused to use it. But I'm running out of room in my craft room so I need to start using and stop hoarding! You could easily substitute another ribbon here, perhaps the white grosgrain from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack or the 5/8" Organza! How about the Whisper White Mini Pompom Trim! That would be fun! I hope I've brought some sunshine into your day! To create my card yourself, I have links to purchase the products I used below. Hello and Happy Tuesday! Hope your Monday went off without a hitch! Since it's Tuesday I'm back over with Stamp, Ink, Paper with my Color Challenge DT Card. This week I decided to use my Swirly Bird stamp set. I have to be honest that when the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog came out I loved the coordinating dies to this set and preordered them but not the stamp set. What was I thinking?? lol I started seeing some fabulous cards posted with the Stamp set so of course I had to have it. I went pretty messy and whimsical with this one but I love how it turned out.. although this is totally not my usual style! I started with an Elegant Eggplant Cardstock A2 cardstock base and added a top layer of Smokey Slate that measured 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" for a very skinny purple border. I stamped some of the scribble flowers in Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder and added a few leaves in Smoky Slate. The splatters were stamped with Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder. I cut out two Elegant Eggplant Swirly Scribbles Flowers and stacked them to add some dimension. I added them with the awesome Fine Tip Glue Pen. I also used my a Stampin' Up! Marker to add some splatters in Blackberry Bliss, unfortunately this is a retired color but I really LOVE it so it's not going away for me! lol The sentiment is from the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set that just landed at my doorstep! I just love the font in these gorgeous sentiments in this stamp set! I stamped the You're in my Thoughts sentiment in Elegant Eggplant. Lastly I added 5 clear dew drops from Pretty Pink Posh with my fine tip glue pen. I hope you love this as much as I do. I'm really growing to love messy! lol Thanks so much for stopping by. Below is a list of the products used. Since both the Swirly Bird and Thoughtful Branches stamp sets are available in bundles, I've linked them that way as well! As like so many other stampers I've upped my birthday card game thanks to the lovely Shannon West and her #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign. I needed quite a few this month so I'm trying to restock my inventory! I've been lucky to have a consistent amount stamping time lately and I've tried to make the most of it by using some challenges to get my card making focused so I can (hopefully) complete more projects. This card used the Mojo Monday sketch and the Global Design Project challenge and the card came together quickly with those 2 starting points. The Global Design Project challenge is to CASE the Designer so you can pull elements from the designer card to create your own. I was inspired by her colors. Mojo Monday is this fun tilted design. I'm usually a "straight and everything in its place" kind of stamper so it's fun to do these layouts. I've got some retiring, carrying over and new products working to bring this one together. The base is Tip Top Taupe which is a lovely neutral and is in the group of In Colors which is sticking around for another year. Next up is a layer of DSP from the Botanical Gardens DSP which is from the Occasions catalog but is retiring at the end of the month so if you love those bold tropical patterns you better get it before it's gone! This is one of the lighter colored designs in the pack. Then I've got the Softly Falling embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock. Softly Falling was such a huge hit from the Holiday Catalog it's carrying over again. It's a nice subtle pattern for all sorts of card themes. The sentiment is stamped in Mint Macaron and can be found in the Rose Wonder stamp set also carrying over to the new catalog. And finally the new products from the upcoming annual catalog! Swirly Bird stamp set and the coordinating Swirly Scribbles thinlets. The background scribble is cut from Tip Top Taupe cardstock and then layered with a stamped flower in Mint Macaron as are the leaves. The easiest way that I've found to adhere these designs is to use the fine tip glue. It makes getting the adhesive in the right spot a snap! I tried added some different ribbons to the design and nothing worked very well but it still needed just a little something! I decided pearls would do the trick and used one medium sized pearl for the very center and then added the smallest size around it creating a cluster. I'm thinking now that I should have made several of this design while I had the supplies! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Swirly Bird, Rose Wonder Ink: Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe Paper: Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Botanical Gardens DSP Accessories: Swirly Scribbles thinlets, Softly Falling embossing folder, pearls, dimensionals
Hey there! I am back today with another smaller double Z fold style card, this time using the Swirly Bird stamps. Its the same colour scheme as another flat kite card I shared with you a week or so ago but I wanted to have a go at one on a Z fold. The backgrounds were created using the baby swipe technique and some Pool Party ink, it does make a lovely sky. It's such a cute little style card, perfect for a number of occasions. Have you earned your Bonus Day coupons yet? See you tomorrow!
This thank you card uses the Swirly Bird stamp set, the matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, and the Thankful Thoughts stamp set. The biggest flower swirl I had to cut using scissors, but all the rest of the flowers and leaves have a corresponding thinlit. Thanks for taking the time for a look! Supplies Used: Stamp Sets - Swirly Bird, Thankful Thoughts Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Memento Paper - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, glue dots, scissors, Die Brush
