It has been so hot here in Eastern Kentucky lately, swimming would be nice. I had so much fun making this background with the new Touches of Texture stamp set. I love the floral lace on this one. I think the fish in the Seaside Shore stamp set are just so cute. Lots of ways to use these two stamp sets. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I used the Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird and Places You’ll Go stamp sets to create my card for this weeks Fab Friday color challenge.
This card uses a lot of the new products in the 2016-2017 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. The new stamp set is called Seaside Shore. The base of my card is Pool Party but the second layer is the new In-Color called Dapper Denim which I just love. The third layer is also Pool Party but I used the new Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the new Layering Circle Framelits to create the circles on my card and I used the Aqua Painter to color in the background on the circle. I colored the fish with some of the new In-Colors and cut them out with Paper Snips and popped them up with Dimensionals. I stamped "Oh, Happy Day" in Dapper Denim and punched it out with the new Duet Banner Punch. Products I Used: Seaside Shore Wood-Mount Stamp Set $29.00 Seaside Shore Clear-Mount Stamp Set $21.00 Dapper Denim 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Dapper Denim Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Pool Party 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Very Vanilla 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $9.00 Watercolor Paper $5.00 Aqua Painters $17.00 Big Shot $110.00 Layering Circle Framelits Dies $35.00 Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder $8.50 Paper Snips $10.00 Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Generated by SUDSOL, Free Trial at www.sudsol.org

If I could live on a cruise ship (or a mega yacht) on the ocean, I'd be a happy camper!! I love the ocean, the shore, the waves, the fish, the tide pools, etc. So when I saw the Seaside Shore 'fishy' stamp set in the Stampin' UP! catalog, I knew I wanted it! I created a Porthole scene for these fishies.. they are swimming by to say hello! The porthole is easy to create with the Layering Circles Framelits!! Just die cut 2 concentric circles and you have a perfect ring! I added the Metallic

I could not wait to play with the new Seaside Shore stamp set and well, the whole suite actually! I started with white embossing on the Island Indigo card stock. Wouldn't you just love to grab one of these tickets and be able to use it to climb on that luxury liner for a two week cruise through the Caribbean? I would. Oh how a girl can dream! This card was inspired by a card made by KVSquires on Splitcoaststampers. She used the train from this very versatile set but I had a loftier dream of setting sail for warm waters. What is your dream and can you make it into a card? I love this sentiment for a birthday, don't you? Our family survives on sarcasm and this sentiment is perfect for any one of them. One of my favorite products in Stampin' Up!'s new catalog is the Sailing Home stamp set (and coordinating products). It is so fun to work with, and I love how easy it is to layer the images! Today I'm sharing a thank you card that I recently made. This card features the newly-retired Seaside embossing folder, and my cardstock colors are Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, and Early Espresso. Also featured on this card are Rhinestone Jewels and Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine. I believe this bundle of products will get plenty of use! Are you ready to shop from the new catalog? Tomorrow (June 4th) is the big day!!!
Happy Friday Friends! This weeks Just Add Ink challenge was suggested by Di and she has challenged us to create a project using "Two" of the elements above! I have gone with a masculine project using the "Sailing Home & Artistically Inked" stamp sets in Balmy Blue-Just Jade-Pretty Peacock-Smoky Slate...A simple one to create and using the watercolour image from the Artistically Inked set creates such a great background...I love this stamp! Lots of lovely "Choose Two" projects from the team, so make sure you click the link and take a look for lots of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!! We are back with another fabulous hop! Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all! Baseball season came to an end on Thursday for my boys which means our evenings and weeks are a little bit more freed up for a few weeks until flag football starts for them. I'm not going to lie...I get a little depressed at the end of baseball season every year, even more so this year. All 3 of our boys had an amazing season, made huge improvements and made some awesome new friends! The only upside to baseball season being over is that our evenings and weekends will be a bit less hectic, which hopefully means a little bit more stamping for me! My parents are leaving tomorrow for the Oregon Coast, which I am totally jealous of! With the sale of our house pending, our summer plans have pretty much been put on hold until the sale closes or we pull it off the market. This is the first summer in MANY years that we haven't vacationed at the beach...boo! If we can't be at the beach, at least I can pretend we're there with the fun fishies from the Seaside Shore stamp set! Supplies Used: Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral Ink ~ Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate Stamp Set ~ Seaside Shore Other Supplies ~ Layering Circle Framelits, Pearl Basic Jewels, Seaside Embossing Folder Next stop on the hop is Dani...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style! Thanks for hopping along with us today! Happy Stamping!
I recently purchased a bundle from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue that's not in my usual zone. It contains no flowers, leaves, butterflies or nature - except perhaps an ocean and a cloud! It's the On the Ocean Bundle. I've started experimenting with it and I'm sharing with you how to make on the of the cards I've tried out. It's this pirate ship (or romantic sailing vessel) with a sunset. You can see here just how easy it is to make this card in the tutorial below. Don't forget that you can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand. You can visit my online store here.

Hey Bloggers! Happy Halloween! It's mid way through the week and I am very much looking forward to the weekend. Today my daughter took a trip to the University of Alberta for a tour. Now she won't be attending for another year and a half but she is planning ahead. And she had a great time, and got a lot of information. It's so hard to believe that she is growing up so quickly. Today's card is a masculine birthday card using the Open Sea stamp set. I started with a vision of what I wanted to create, and a plan to CASE a particular card with some changes to make it my own. And it didn't turn out anything like the original card. too funny! I made the card for the Playing in Paradise challenge #90. Challenges are a great way to get some creativity going so I hope that you can all find your creativity too! Terryfic Tips: Ink the edges of elements on your project to create dimension. Curl the edges of the flowers and ink them also to create dimension. Stamp Sets: The Open Sea (Wood-Mount 123030 Clear-Mount 123032) Paper: Whisper White (100730), Soft Suede (115318) Ink: Soft Suede (126978), Not Quite Navy (126971) Cool Tools: Paper Snips (103579), Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003), 2 1/2" Circle Punch (120906) The Perfect Touch: Metallic Brads (119741), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), 7/8" Cotton Ribbon (127844) Click here to order Stampin' Up! products online 24/7
I promised you some more cards made with the "By the Tide' stamp set.....so here's another one! I DO like this set!! So many possibilities! Don't miss your chance to get it! :-) I made the background by rolling three different colors onto whisper white cardstock, beginning with the lightest color blue. Then stamped the images in black over the top. Super easy! Great effect! Have fun brayering!!
