Hello, my stamping friend. This week I will take a little break from Thoughtful Branches bundle. I will still cover Winter and Spring for you, I promise. If you are local and would like to attend the class I am holding - scroll down for more information. Today I want to share with you Thank You card using Flourishing Phrases bundle. I just absolutely love how intricate die is and the font of the stamp: I used Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz. Love this combo. Would you like to know how to make it? Measurements: Pear Pizzazz CS: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 3 ¼” x 4 ¼ “ Whisper White CS: 3” x 4” Designer Paper: 4 x 5 ¼ “ Glimmer paper ¾ x 4” Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango scraps. How To: Create your card base by scoring a pear pizzazz cs piece at 4 ¼”. Adhere designer paper to card front and glimmer paper in the center. Stamp large flower in Peekaboo peach in top right corner of whisper white cs. Stamp sentiment in pear pizazz toward the bottom and 3 sets of the leaves around the flower. Adhere stamped white piece to the 3 ¼ x 4 ¼“ pear pizazz cs. Attach to the card with dimensionals. Cut medium flower from peekaboo peach and larger from tangerine tango scraps using thinlits and Big Shot. Layer on top of each other and adhere to card with glue dots. Add rhinestones to the center of 2 flowers. Now try different color combo! I had several requests from my local stamping group to offer the class based on the project I created with Thoughtful Branches bundle: I am offering this class on August 27th. We will create 20 note cards. Check details HERE. Hostess code for August is 6WZBTMW7. Flourishing Phrases with Stampin' Blends When I am designing my card classes I often look through my stock of stamp sets and see if one jumps out at me. The Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set was introduced a few catalogs ago and it immediately caught my eye. I love the scroll, love the coordinating thinlits and I love coloring the floral scroll in a variety of colors. Do you like the Flourishing Phrases with Stampin' Blends? Selecting a color The Stampin' Blends worked so well with this stamp set, picking one color was too hard. For my class, I let
Flourishing Phrases has been a favorite of mine for a while. I love all the things you can do with it. It really is never ending and you can create for just about everything that you would need a card for with this great set! Here I made a sympathy card. I used Merry Merlot. I used Wink of Stella to water-color the flower tops. They are really sparkly! I also have three pearls on the main panel of the card. I created the same card using Blueberry Bushel on this one. Isn't it amazing how different these two cards feel with just a small color change? This card has a washed out look to it because I stamped the flowers and then spritzed the card stock with water and let dry a couple of times. I was hoping for a more imperfect look than what I got but I do like the soft, hazy images. This card is more of a simply stamped card. The lattice looking piece is die cut though. I did add a pearl to the center of the flower. Another set I have so many ideas for but just not enough time to create! Man, my full time job is getting in the way! Can you relate? Happy Stampin'! For today’s card, I dug out a stamp set that has been around for a few catalog seasons but still stands the test of time in my book, Flourishing Phrases. If you don’t have this set, I would urge you to take a look at it and consider all the possibilities. I’m trying to get into a Fall frame of mind even though the weather here in Southeastern PA is still very much summer-like. So… Continue reading

Hallo allemaal!
This weekend I have spent time playing with new stamps, thinlits, punches and so much more. One of the new thinlits just release this month is the Flourish thinlit. It is so "dainty" and I love it. I made the card on the left based off of a card I saw on Mary Fish's site. I "embellished" it more (stepped it up) to give it some extra pizzazz. The card on the right was one of those cards that "just happened". the cut out in the back was what was left over from the dainty accent on the right. Layered onto black cardstock made this image come to life!. Also just released is a new Big Shot platform that is designed for intricate dies like this one. Check out this video that Stampin' Up! did on this new platform with the Florish thinlit die - if you are going to use these dies.... you are definitely going to want the new platform and the precision plate.

One of my very favorite reasons to be a demonstrator is the amazing sample swapping that goes on whenever we gather together! Stampin' Up demonstrators are some of the most creative people in the world, and I benefit greatly from seeing their ideas. I love coming up with a cool card and making a bunch of them so I can trade with others. It's fun to think of the little card I stamped in my craftroom in Wisconsin traveling across the U.S. and sometimes even across oceans, to land in another demonstrator's sample basket. I'm sharing several favorites from my...
Two demos from our team dropped over today and we made up a set of Chat Wazelaki designed cards (with a few changes of course) Chat has great tutorials, you can see them at http://memystampsandi.blogspot.ca/ Here we are hard at work... Don't we make a wonderful mess?! And these are the cards we completed using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and corresponding dies. Plus the luscious Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" ruched ribbon. Pink and green are my favourite combination so I love this set! And it's not only the die cuts that are show stoppers, the stamped images are as well. I always need sympathy cards so I changed the sentiment on this one (it was congratulations), so of course that changed the placement of everything so I had to improvise a bit, but I like how it turned out. Funny the things you notice in photos - such as I really need to trim the ends of the ribbon on this card!!! I hope you enjoyed your visit, and be sure to check out Chat's blog, she has lovely ideas! Happy Stamping!

Ok, I have to say it: I personally think this card is GORGEOUS. I can't believe I made it! And in only about fifteen minutes, no less! I'm on a bit of a roll with card challenges at the moment so here's my second post in a row entering different challenges! My card today is for CAS(E) this Sketch! #269 and the design brief was to create a card using this layout. I wanted to incorporate some colour technique into this card so for the Daffodil Delight/Pumpkin Pie card I inked up my stamp with Daffodil Delight and then used my marker pen to draw directly onto the stamp (not "thumping" I actually drew lines where i wanted to add accents of Pumpkin Pie). I also thought the card would look great in Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise. This time I used the baby wipe technique, adding drops of ink from my reinkers to a baby wipe and using that as my stamp pad to pick up colour onto my stamp. EDIT: For a look at how I created these colours, here's my video tutorial from my regular Tuesday evening Facebook live slot. I just love the motivation a card challenge gives. Use the link above to go to the CAS(E) this Sketch post to see what every one else designed using this design template. Hello Stamper Friends, I LOVE this new set Flourishing Phrases! There are so many awesome sayings and the floral design is beautiful! This card is so simple but very pretty! Flourishing Phrase
I have another card for you today featuring the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. This time, I did not use the bundle, but instead took one of the sentiments and used it on a die-cut from our Leaflet Framelits. I absolutely love the way this masculine sympathy card turned out. Isn't the new Burlap Ribbon awesome? It's a wow in person, too, as it has the very tiniest shimmer of silver strands holding the threads of burlap in place. I predict that I will be using this ribbon a LOT in the upcoming year. The inside panel features the coordinating sentiment
