Dorcas (who also was called Tabitha) had a special ministry in the early church. She enjoyed helping and serving others. Then one day, she became sick and she died. The believers in that church sent for Peter. God used Peter to bring Dorcas back to life. These Dorcas Bible activities are about this important event in the early church.

Unfortunately, this morning during Sunday School when I started to take pictures of our activities, I realized I had left the chip out of my camera. So....I'll just share with you what we did last Sunday morning. Our Bible Story was about how Paul (a missionary) went lots of places to tell people about Jesus. One day, he found some ladies by the river and taught them about Jesus. One of the ladies was Lydia, a seller of purple cloth. Thus, the Purple Art~~~ Preschoolers LOVE to tape things! They believe in getting them taped down REALLY well! :) They also love getting pictures taken of their art work! In the block center, we built a river. (Where Paul taught the ladies and Lydia about Jesus.) We can talk to people about Jesus anywhere! justpitchingmytent, (in a world that’s not my home) Letha
This is a great object lesson to explain God's love to kids
My mom gave these adorable (and useful) little treat bags to her Primary class awhile back. We have loved watching the views and pins grow on this Primary Handouts Update, specifically these little Good Samaritan First Aid kits. My Mom wanted me to post the printables so everyone could easily print them out. She filled these adorable little bags with a few fun treats, and added a little note to each one. Which also went a long with the poem she included. I absolutely love how she puts so much thought into her lessons. I know the kids feel so special when they get these handouts! She gave this handout for Lesson 37-I'll serve Jesus Christ by serving others, but really this could be used for a variety of things and groups! Everyone could use some "aid" sometime in their lives! :) Like I mentioned before my mom taught this lesson to her primary class, if you're interested the specific lesson is Primary 3 Lesson 37: I'll Serve Jesus Christ by Serving Others you can find the lesson outline she followed on LDS.org HERE or in the book Primary3-CTR B. My Mom couldn't find a little candy watch so she made her own-she bought some little candy bracelets and added a clipart she found online for the watch head. She's so creative, I'm telling ya! If you are wanting candy watches you can find some HERE. All of these little treats help remind us of the little things we can do to help serve others. If you plan on using this lesson you could have each child in the class pull something out of one bag and read the attached note until you have read them all as a class. I plan on sharing more Primary printables so make sure to check back soon! :) Here's the inside scoop on where she found all these items: white bags-Dollar Tree in the wedding section or even these from Amazon candy bracelets-Zurchers or other party store or candy watches can be found HERE Kleenex-Dollar Tree Other Candy-Walmart twine-Jo-Ann (use 40% off coupon) If you'd like the free printable for everything you can find them all HERE!
