Hello stampers, Today's card started out with the stamped image & no other plans for the rest of the card, just that I wanted to use this new set. So I set out to try to find a sketch & just my luck Freshly Made Sketches has a brand new challenge that worked perfectly with my little circle For my card, I started with a Daffodil Delight Cardstock base, followed by a layer of the same color that was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Folder. For the stamped image, Basic White Cardstock was cut out using the Layering Circle Dies, stamped with the Wildflower Path Stamp Set using Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green & Old Olive Inks. The sentiment comes from the same set & was stamped using Memento Black Ink. After stamping, the circle was then attached to a Polished Pink Cardstock scalloped circle using the above dies & Brushed Brass Butterflies were added. I've included the sketch below, if you'd like to make a card with it. It's a current sketch so you also have the ability to enter their challenge by clicking on the link in the 1st paragraph. ~Thanks for stopping by! Today's card features Stampin' Up Wildflower Path Stamp Set. I used Stampin' Up 2022-24 In Colors: Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet. The current challenge of at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a inspirational challenge with wildflowers and the challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches is using In Colors. I started with a Tahitian Tide card base folded in tent fashion. I adhered a panel of Stampin' Up Layering Design Vellum, I was careful to only adhere it in the middle with Stampin' Seal to insure you could not see the adhesive. I stamped grass and flower leaves across a piece of Basic White using Parakeet Party ink. I added flowers using Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet ink. I die cut the image with Stampin' Up Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered the Basic White stamped piece to a piece of Parakeet Party card stock using liquid adhesive. I adhered the layers to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment using Sweet Sorbet ink on a strip of Parakeet Party. I cut a flag at the end and adhered it to the card front. The inside is a panel of Basic White with grass, leaves and flowers stamped to coordinate with the front. I used the Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Path stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Hello stampers, Today I've made a card with a retiring set for a color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I'm not sure I've given this set a lot of ink time, but it isn't too late to showcase it now. For this challenge, I decided to work with Wildflower Path Stamp Set, since it was a set that work well with all 3 of the colors. On Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the floral, stems & grass images with Fresh Freesia (1st step was stamped off once, 2nd step was full on) Balmy Blue & Pear Pizazz Inks. The sentiment is also from the set & was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink. The stamped image was then layered on top of Balmy Blue Cardstock. For the background layer, I used the 2021-23 In Color 6 x 6 DSP, then added a retired Pear Pizazz Taffeta Ribbon before adhering it to a Balmy Blue Cardstock base. Paper Measurements- Balmy Blue Cardstock: Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Layer - 2 7/8 x 4 1/8 Basic White Cardstock: Layer - 2 3/4 x 4 2021-23 In Color DSP: Layer - 4 x 5 1/4 ~Thanks for stopping by! Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Yesterday, it was time once again for Gez and I to do our Live Crafting session over in our Facebook group - Come Crafting with Jill and Gez. Do feel free to come on over and join us for next time. To find our group just CLICK HERE. As well as a joint live crafting session once a month, we also run a monthly challenge on the group and draw a random winner each time, who receives a small prize. We would love you to take part! We normally do these sessions at 2.00pm on the first Saturday of the month but as that was 1st January and we felt we might be nursing hangovers, we delayed it for a week! Once again our session was beset with technical problems - Facebook really doesn't make it easy! But despite that I hope those of you who joined us live enjoyed the session. Our theme for this month was to use new products from the Jan - June mini catalogue. So much loveliness to choose from. But in the end I decided to use the new "Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks" (bit of a mouthful!). If you haven't spotted these yet they are on page 65 of the catalogue and are a definite "must have" to add to your stash. In the video I show you how to use the masks and blending brushes to layer up the images to create really pretty images. I focused on just one of the images but there are so many other possibilities with these masks. To see the replay of my part of our Facebook live session you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below. Before I go, here are the some peeks of the pretty card Gez made using the Wildflower Path stamp set -isn't it fabulous? If you'd like to see her part of the live session just CLICK HERE. I do hope you'll come and join us next month! Don't forget you can join us HERE.
