Add a little Shimmer Paint to a ¼” piece of Stamping Sponge, rub the paint along the edges of the cardstock to add some shine. Let dry. 2- Cut some houses and a small tree from the DSP using the coordinating dies. Cut the 3” x 4” Whisper White cardstock with the curvy tree dies, one on top and one on the bottom. 3- Add the embossed Whisper White cardstock onto the front of your cardbase. Add the Pool Party Cardstock behind the piece of DSP, then place them in the center of the embossed cardstock. 4- Add the white tree cut cardstock to the bottom area with a little of the pool party cardstock peaking out at the bottom. Arrange the Houses and tree on this white piece with dimensionals. 5- Stamp the large greeting on the scrap cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut out. Stamp the smaller greeting on the ½” strip and flag the ends with the Banner Pick a Punch. You may need a post it note to hold the strip in the punch (see video below for details). 6- Add the greetings to the vellum circle, you can add dimensionals to the larger one if you want. With 12” of ribbon add a faux bow behind the vellum. Then adhere to the bottom left side of the white tree die cut cardstock with dimensionals. 7- Add three stars. All Done! Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Trimming the Town/Poinsettia Place Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Each month our very talented and creative team of designers will be bringing you inspiration, so get comfortable and have a ton of fun hopping along with us. You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Jan Clothier's Blog. She has made some lovely projects! Today, the team will be showcasing projects using products from both suites so be sure to check them all out! I had the pleasure of creating projects using the Coming Home Bundle. This set is so festive and has just so many possibilities for crafting all of those holiday crafts. I've even used the adorable houses to create birdhouses in previous projects! Here's a look at the set: My first card has some really great texture added to the background. I used the So Many Snowflake Dies to create a mask to use with my Embossing Paste. To get tone on tone paste colors you can simply add Pool Party Refill Ink. My next card was inspired by one of our past holiday Paper Pumpkin projects. I used some of the dies from the set to create rolling hills in Glimmer Paper, Balmy Blue, and Misty Moonlight. I added some All the Trimmings Ribbon behind my sentiment for some added texture. I fussy cut some tiny houses from the Trimming the Town DSP to complete my scene. My final card again showcases a cozy little home fussy cut from that festive DSP. I created a soft watercolor background using Pool Party Ink to mimic a soft snowfall. To finish it off, I added a few tiny stars from All the Trimmings Embellishments. This gorgeous suite was so much fun to create with and a great way to make fun, festive holiday projects for gifts, holiday cards, or parties. The Stampin' Up! Designer Paper SALE starts today! CLICK HERE to find out more about this awesome sale! October 1-31, 2020 +++++++++++++++ CHECK OUT THIS CUTE Wooden Star decor! OH my gosh.....I so love how this project turned out! I just love crafting! And making 3D projects like this one is so much fun! I used the Trimming the Town DSP to make this star decor! Yes- the house, wreath & pine trees are all from the Trimming the Town DSP. I use the 'Coming Home' stamp set to stamp the trees. And I cut all of these images out using the Home Together Dies! It was so fast & easy to cut these out. This Trimming the Town DSP is on sale this month! CLICK HERE TO SEE THE DSP that is on SALE this month! I embossed 2 pieces of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" pieces of Whisper White card stock using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I then used the curved die from the Home Together Dies to get the snow hills. For some added sparkle, I added some Wink of Stella to the snow edges; over the pine trees; on the wreath bow & in the center of the embossed snowflakes in the snow. Don't you think that this wooden star is cool! Are you wondering how big it is? It is 12" across from point to point. How did I do it? I traced around the star onto the back side of the snowflake DSP. I cut out the star with my scissors. I used the Multipurpose Glue & glued the DSP star directly over the top of the wooden star. I found a round bowl that was approximately 6" in diameter, traced around it- directly onto my Misty Moonlight card stock. I used my scissors & cut out this circle. I made the hills of snow with the Home Together Dies. I cut out the house, wreath & trees with the Home Together Dies. I cut a white snowflake from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. I added several Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments. I added Wink of Stella to the trees, snow edge, center of embossed snowflakes (in the snow) & the bow on the wreath. stamp set: 'Coming Home' card stock: Whisper White, Misty Moonlight designer paper: Trimming the Town DSP ink: Early Espresso other: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Home Together Dies; Winter Snow Embossing Folder; Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments; Wink of Stella; dimensionals; glue dots I hope you have a great Thursday!!
