Last year I was searching the Web for more Punch Art ideas and I came across this wonderful lady on a chair... It has been waiting for me to recreate it for AGES... What better time to bring out this creation than at KENG Card class?...The ladies LOVED it.. What a fantastic use for the Butterfly punch... It makes for such a sexy little body... I wanted to make it more dressy... So when i went home I used a fin tip glue pen to draw swirls and lines to sprinkle fine glitter on... Then I added some Bling with little diamonties and a lovely little matching hand bag... Michel was so inspired that she went home and created this lovely card..... She didn't have the punches.. but nothing will stop you if you are feeling inspired!!! Happy Crafting!!!!
We made this card at my good friend Marguerite's workshop on Saturday. She asked that we make a wedding card so this is what I came up with. I like the way there is just a bit of color (Melon Mambo) peeking behind the white. What an easy way to add the bride's wedding color to your card! I've done a different version in the past that was a bit more complicated. I like to keep my workshop cards easy...
I'm guessing that you've noticed my punch art has a cartoon feel to it. That is just how I roll. Even the things that I draw are "cartooni...
My stampers are very excited to make this peeking chick card tonight at Stamp Camp. It opens and closes! Let me show you how to make this fun card. 1. Use the largest smooth oval in the Oval

CONVENTION is coming... time for more Convention swaps!!!! I was totally inspired by Jill's adorable card HERE, and decided I needed to make a swap card using her super cute flower idea! WAY too cute, Jill!!! So I made a pile of flowers... a 'paper flower garden'... (I actually ended up making 2x this many!!) :) Then I made it into this card with Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss and Apricot Appeal cardstock: I used the 'Punches Plus' brass template and the paper piercer to add an oval of holes around the punched out greeting. The flowers are super easy to make..

Here's how I made my graduation cap for the card I made yesterday. First start with a 1" strip of Basic Black card stock. Lay one point on the gutter of the paper trimmer, and the other end lined up with the 3/4" mark on the right side of the gutter. Then cut! Next flip the piece over, and line up the angle you just cut on the 1" line on the left of the gutter. And cut. That creates the mortarboard piece - a perfect parallelogram! Then punch a 1-3/8" square using your punch and another scrap piece. Stick the punched square onto the edge of a post-it note (easier to handle this way!). Use your 1-3/4" x 7/8" oval punch and place the bottom right part of the square in and punch. I eyed this part, but I did place just a little more than half of the bottom right part in. And punch! Then I placed the bottom left part of the square back into the punch and punched off that side. Again I just eyed it. Maybe I just got lucky, but it centered pretty easily. I made three of them so far - and I guess I eyed them pretty well?! If it doesn't come out very centered the first time though, try again on the same piece. You'll still have plenty of space up top to stick to the mortarboard piece. Then here it is all stuck together! Tah dah!! Thanks for stopping by, Julie B

One of my favorite punches is the Owl Builder. It's such a versatile punch that can be used for many things. Check out this photo of samples that I got from Pinterest - all were created using the Owl Builder punch. I've even seen it used to create minions, goblins & witches, snowman, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. The possibilities are endless. The card I am sharing is a Congratulations card which is timely because of graduation. I used all retiring In Colors ink pads and card stocks. I CASED this card from a swap I received from a fellow demo, Kathy Maurer. Except hers was a Fancy Fold style card. This card would be awesome to convert into a Gift Card holder, too. Well, that's all I have for today. Noooo, I can't believe it's time to return to the office. I need a couple more days to chill. I am so going to miss my afternoon naps. Where is that crying emoji when you really need it? Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week, everyone! Below is the list of products used to create this card. Like I said yesterday, my one goal of the weekend was to come out of it with 4 cards for my Punch It Punch Art Class is April-more details below. I far surpassed that goal and ended up making 14 punch art cards!!! Some you might have already seen on my Facebook page, but now you're getting all the details. Some of them are CASED some are actually my original ideas!! I'm not showing the ones that we'll make at my punch art class until after the class, so these are the ones that didn't make it. Just imagine how cute the ones that DID make it will be!!!! The ONLY reason this one didn't make it is because it uses 2 retired punches. The ears are the 5 petal flower punch and I also used the small oval. This card I did CASE from a card I found on Stampin' Connection (a demonstrator only website). I loved it and had to copy it. The giraffe alone is adorable but when you pull the card up...... .....shut the front door that's so cute!!!!!! When I showed it to Logan he said "It's a baby giraffe that grows up to be a Daddy." This card is one of my favorites from the weekend. (I'm sure I'll say that about EVERY card) His spots are just circle punches. His legs are a square punch, cut into 4 pieces. His head is ovals and circles. I added a little bow tied ribbon, because why not???!!! The greeting says "Hip Hip Hooray" from the Hip Notes set in the Occasions catalog. A stamp set I didn't think I needed, now I'm pretty sure I can't live without it! I thought it was perfect!!! Now details on my punch class, I do a punch art class at least once a year. My customer love it and so do I!!! Saturday--April 5, 2014 at 9:30am St. John's Cathedral, 318 Silver SW, Albuquerque NM Punch It!!!You asked for it, here it is!!! It's time to break out the punches for some pretty awesome punch art!! This class is all about SU punches (and a few framelits). You'll make 4 amazing punch art cards! This class is $20 or FREE with a $35* order at the class. Please RSVP by April 3rd. Kits are available for this class for $25 (plus shipping if it has to be shipped). I've made this kit a little more than the class because there's so much prep work included with the punch art class. Kits will include instructions on each card. I accept Paypal for the kits, only shipped within the US. Sorry kits no longer available. If you'd like to attend or would like to purchase a kit please let me know, you can comment on this post or email me. Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!!!

A presto Maestra Valentina

I made this football card for my favorite football player (you'll 'SEE' who if you read on...). This will be my son's last year of high school football, so I made it for him just for fun! Here's a little closer look at the football - and I was pretty excited that all on my own I figured out how to make the PERFECT shaped football!! :) So I decided to share a quick tutorial in case you want to make one too! I started with Soft Suede Card Stock and die cut a 3" circle. Then I laid that 3" circle back onto the die so the edge of the circle lined up with the edge of the die. See above, and notice it's lined up with the edge that has the label on it. After you run that through the Big Shot - you get the PERFECT football shape! Yep, I was excited to figure this out!! ;) (And I even thought, if you want different sizes, you can do it with punches too - just have to line them up and re-punch...) Then I cut a long strip of 1/8" Whisper White Card Stock, and trimmed for the pieces I needed to finish it. The end pieces were just whatever random size (for now). The middle long piece was 1-1/4" and each cross piece was 1/2". I glued them on, with a careful light-touch!, with Multipurpose Glue. Then I turned the football over to trim the side edges off, keeping with the shape of the football. And, Tah-Dah! There's your perfect football - just make a card to put it on!! And here he is - my favorite football player! I finally remember his positions this year - Offensive Line and Defensive Line. He's my 'baby' child, but 6'3" and 250 pounds! So proud of him! And excited for his season this year, a little bittersweet - his senior year! Thanks for stopping by, Julie B
