Hello, Oh So Eclectic stamp set! It's been a while since I played with you. It's time to stamp with one of your fabulous flowers. Oh So Eclectic Thank You Card Oh So Eclectic happens to be
Hello crafty friends, Todays card uses the new Eclectic Layers Thinlits and a few thinlits from other bundles, with the awesomely fun Embossing Paste and Decorative Masks. I am onto my second pot of embossing paste it is seriously so much fun and love the texture it provides. I mixed a little Pool Party Ink with some embossing paste and using one of the four decorative masks applied a small amount diagonally across the whisper white card front. Floral and leaf die cuts were made using the Eclectic Layers thinlits, Jar of Love and Falling Flowers. I used three different blue toned card stock - Dapper Denim, Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise. The Thanks sentiment from Jar of Love was inked in Dapper Denim and stamped onto the Whisper White card front. The card front was adhered to a layer of Pool Party and Dapper Denim before adhering to the card base. Until next time, stay awesome
I hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th here in the U.S. Ours was very low-key. I did some baking in the morning, stamping in the afternoon, and grilling and fireworks in the evening. And spent the en…
I've thought long and hard about why SU have named this set "Oh So Eclectic", still haven't been able to come up with anything that seems reasonable and sound. I would love to hear your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below. Nevertheless, I'm just in love with this set. This is my second blog post about this set already and I'm sure it won't be the last. Here I have used the stain glass technique, where I have powder embossed the image in white on vellum paper. Turning the paper over, I have coloured in the flower on the reverse side with blender pen, in doing so I was able to achieve the look of stain glass image. I have used the new in colour Fresh Fig, and lemon lime twist. Adhering vellum to card stock can be a bit tricky as it is transparent and the adhesive glue tends to show through, or there is often a discolouration on spots where there is adhesive. Leave it looking all spotty and discoloured. I used a trick I have learnt from one of the Onstage local presentations, can't quite remember her name right now, but she used a cotton bud to spread the adhesive glue all over the vellum, leaving only a thin layer on the surface, allowing it to stick without discolouring or leaving it looking spotty. Quite happy with how they turned out. Other than the technique, it's a really straightforward card with a simple layout. I had to fussy cut out the flower and the leaves sitting on top of the greeting, as I don't yet have the coordinating thinlit dies, which I will be sure to get once the we are allowed to order them from the new catalogue at the beginning of June. I am an independent Stampin' Up Demonstator with a wealth of experience in crafting in various forms. I am very grateful for your visit today, and I hope that you've enjoyed looking at my projects. Hope you can stop by again really soon.

Oh So Eclectic is another new stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It is a two step stamp set which means you use two stamps to make one image. When I first looked at this set it didn’t reall
I did a little casing for my 4th card class card from Billie Moan over at ramblingrosestudio.com I saw this on Pinterest and loved the sunset look of the sponged circle behind the bird. I cut of a template circle and then sponged on the bottom Watermelon Wonder, then Peekaboo Peach in the middle and then So Saffron on top. I also water colored the bird after stamping him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the same colors. I stamped the branch in the same black ink and water colored it with Wild Wasabi and Soft Suede. The flower is in Watermelon Wonder. I cut all of these with the matching dies from Birds & Blooms thinlits dies. The sentiment is from the same set called Best Birds but the ink splatter is from Timeless Textures stamped in Watermelon Wonder. I like the way it turned out! Hope you have a lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by! Zo leuk! To stay with the new products, I'd like to share a card with you today that I made with the stamps and the matching framelits from the Oh So Eclectic bundle. Just stunning this bundle is! To me the big checkered framelits made me buy this gorgeous set. So much fun! Prachtig! The base of this card is Whisper White Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock up front and then again a piece of Whisper White ofcourse. The last one I stamped and ran the checkered framelits with it through my Big Shot. Behind the pattern you can find a piece of design paper from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. Did you see already? This set also has embossing framelits. These are the leaves on this card that are pressed into the paper, but not cut out. Gorgeous! With the fun flowers and leaves on the front, I finished the card with Silver Metallic Thread and a few Rhinestones. I stamped the text with Versamark and embossed it with White Emboss Powder and a heat tool. I'd like to send this card in to the running challenge at TGIF Challenges. This weeks challenge is a color challenge containing the colors Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. Bedankt voor het kijken, tot de volgende keer! Thanks for visiting, see you next time! This is me doing a happy dance because the Man in Brown brought a big box of NEW GOODIES for me to play with! Of course, as soon as I opened the box I had to stop dancing....kinda hard to stamp straight if you're wiggling, ya know. The first thing I wanted to play with was the Oh So Eclectic bundle, because I LOVE the flowers, and I LOVE the coordinating die set! The stamp sets are available in either clear-mount, or wood-mount. You can purchase the stamps and dies separately or bundle them and save 10%! I had a 2" x 6" scrap piece of Color Theory DSP, and found the 2" width fits perfectly behind the die cut! I think the Crushed Curry ombre is just lovely, and is the perfect background for the Fresh Fig flowers (say that five times fast!). I really should be getting the rest of my garden planted, but I can't drag myself out of the craft room! Maybe I'll wait until it cools off later today. Meanwhile, I'll play a bit more. If I do a load of laundry, perhaps I can convince my hubby that I'm being productive. Here's the "How To" Flowers/leaves: Shimmery White scraps Die cut background: Shimmery White 3" x 4-1/4" Mat: Fresh Fig 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" DSP: Color Theory 2" x 4-1/4" Card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4" Stamp plus signs in Crushed Curry ink on card base, as shown. Cut Shimmery White background with the diamond die, having die centered. Use dots of liquid glue to attach DSP behind it. Adhere to Fresh Fig mat. Stamp vertical greeting in black as shown. Attach to card base with dimensionals. Stamp leaves in Garden Green on a scrap of Shimmery White. Stamp large flower in Fresh Fig and color with a Blender Pen and Fresh Fig ink. Color flower center with Crushed Curry. Use corresponding dies to cut them out. Color smaller flower with Fresh Fig Stampin' Write Marker and the stem with Garden Green marker, using the marker to stamp technique. Huff on the stamp to re-moisten ink and stamp. Color flower and stem with Blender Pen in ink. Use corresponding die to cut it out. Attach flowers and leaves to background with dimensionals. Add Glitter Enamel dots. Last Saturday I spent the day in downtown Minneapolis with my mother, her downline, my mother-in-law and my ADT friend Tanya (along with 750+) demonstrators for Stampin' Up!'s OnStage convention. We had a blast! We were able to get our hands on the new upcoming catalog, see many new products and demonstrations, make a few cards and of course - win some new stamps!! Since my mother and her downline were able to stay an extra 3 days, we stamped a few times to ink up each other's new sets. Here is one that my mom's downline Traci won. (My MIL also won it, so I will be inking her copy up some more this week!) The set is called Oh So Eclectic. If you've seen a glimpse at the catalog cover, you might recognize the set. It's pretty and I'm looking forward to making some more samples. For the background I used Lemon Lime Twist (one of the new in-colors!), Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo. I loved the look of the background and hesitated before adding the stamps. I think it turned out great though. This set does have a coordinating framelits set, but this was simple enough to fussy cut. You may notice 2 new ribbons - one is the Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon and the other is Gold MINI sequin trim! LOVE IT! Here's a closer look at the watercolor background. Tanya Boser from the Artisan Team stayed at my house and gave us all a technique class on how to get this look. Thanks Tanya! So there's a little sneak peek at a new set coming out. I would love to hear what you think about the set and the new Lemon Lime Twist color! I personally love it and didn't think I would even like it! Have a wonderful Easter! HE IS RISEN! -Holly
